With each upgrade, my LRC and LR freeze for longer and longer. My system is Win 11 with heaps of storage space and 32 RAM. (and yes, I have the latest win updates and the laters drivers)The freeze happens not when I use graphic, but mostly when I interact with the file system. That is, when I load new photos (from a local drive) when I synch to Adobe cloud, and when I do similar operations like 'view file in Explorer' During this time the system will freeze for many minutes, and then release itself and all will be ok. It happens both with LR and LRC.  And with each update it seems to get worse. It freezes itself (LR or LRC) and Microsoft Explorer. That is, if I have another program already open and accessible on the screen I can use it. During the freeze, however, I cannot swith if the program is hidden, not use the bottom Explorer task bar, I cannot open new programs, and I cannot explore my file system.  I installed and uninstalled both LR and LRC numerous ti

Hallo,ich bin am Verzweifeln: Ich nutze LR seit Jahren und habe einen Katalog mit etwa 90.000 Bilder. In den vergangenen Wochen kam es immer häufiger zu Abstürzen aufgrund von Fehlern im Katalog Mittlerweile ist gar kein Arbeiten mehr möglich, da der Fehler immer wieder nach kurzer Zeit auftaucht. Ich habe mittlerweile LR auf einem anderen Rechner installiert, den Katalog auf den neuen Rechner kopiert (Fotos liegen auf einem Server), aber das Problem taucht immer wieder auf. Ich habe noch zwei kleinere Katalog, die laufen einwandfrei. Leider habe ich keine Idee mehr, wie ich den Katalog wieder zum Laufen bringe. Help. For some reason LR now runs really slow and laggy. My CPU runs at or near 100% constantly. I have an i7 and Geforce RTX Studio 2060 Max-Q. It use to run lighting fast. After some updates I have issue. I have tried changing a bunch of setting with no bump in performance. Does anyone have some insight?

After updating MacOs to Sequoia 15.2 I can’t open lightroom classic 6.14 anymore. The list of catalogs is opened and at the first click the program closes and the warning comes out 'unexpected closing of Lightroom'Is there a solution to this problem?second question: with the latest version of LRC 14.1 can I upload the catalog of my current LRC 6.14?Thanks 

It's now 2024 and I work for more than 40 years with Adobe...why can't you fix the problem with LRC or L and .mov files which every Iphone produces nowadays.... No converting or whatsoever but just fix the code for LRC and L for importing and archieving VIDEO (.mov or .mp4 or whatsoever) !!!! We are in the new age century right? Hey everyone, I recently upgraded my MacBook and moved the whole catalog folder onto my new machine. For some reason if I now want to import files, it keeps wanting to make a new "2024" subfolder under my existing 2024 subfolder. It looks like it recognizes the place these images need to go but I don't want to use this folder, I want to use the existing one. Does anyone know how to get rid of this cache issue? It looks like it's something to do with caching or old catalog settings.  See the image below to see what I mean:

I am running Lightroom Classic 14.1.1 on a mac mini under Sequoia 15.2. Over the last few weeks, whenever I do either a Denose or a Photo Merge, I get the message: "Could not create stack. Stacks cannot contain photos that are stored in different folders. " Well, they are in the same folder. If you simply uncatalog and recatalog the dng that was created, it will allow stacking. If you choose to fully delete the created dng file , you have to do it twice. I have been dealing with this for a while and hoped it would have been corrected by now. Considering that I can't find any information supporting this error, I thought I would ask to see if anybody else is having this problem.

In library mode, rating pictures for the first time in trial version. After rating 400 or so pictures, lightroom suddenly goes haywire. I lost all ratings and can start all over again, 4 hours of work. Not pleasant. It started with suddenly rating a picture and all pictures were affected altough not selecterd. (brand new laptop Lenovo Yoga with AMD rizen 7 and Nvidea Geforce RTX studio)

I’m not sure if DJI and Adobe are aware of this bug, but it’s a major problem.I updated Adobe Lightroom Classic to version 14.1 (also tried 14.1.1), and all photos taken with the DJI MINI 4 PRO have become completely unusable.The color profile changes on all the photos as soon as I click on DEVELOP. The previews in the LIBRARY module look fine until I switch to DEVELOP. The result is that the colors are completely off—washed out, with no contrast, and an odd color profile that makes the photos unusable.After analyzing the issue, I discovered the problem lies in the color profile. It seems some changes have been made in Lightroom Classic.The only solution for me right now is to downgrade to version 13.5, which restores the correct profile for all the photos.PLEASE HELP. All presets, settings, and photos are unusable on the latest version of Lightroom Classic.

Well, here I am again folks. I am finally organizing images from years ago and my god is it fun... So, in todays episode, I've got folders of many files in different places on my hard drive that I am trying to consolide into one lightroom catalog. The issue is that I suspect their are duplicate image files spread across many folders, where the only thing that differs is the file name. Am I correct in my deduction that if even one single character in the file name differs between two otherwise identical images, LR will not recognize that they are duplicates?If so, is there any way that I can do some sort of more advanced image duplicate detection upon import (or elsewhere if necessary), such as by setting parameters such as creation date/time metadata, GPS metadata, etc. So for example, I could ask lightroom to cross reference the import files with any pre-existing files in the catalog that have identical creation date/time as well as GPS metadata.  

 Please advice. Clean install done, preferences cleared- nothing seems to work. Cannot seem to export anything off lightroom. already on the latest version.  

Hallo!  Mein Lightroom Classic kann keine Bilder mehr aus der Cloud laden. Ich habe einen neuen PC aufgesetzt. Dazu war meine 2GB Grenze in der Cloud erreicht und ich habe die alten Bilder gelöscht. Ob eine der Sachen den Fehler verursacht weiß ich nicht. Mein workflow ist normal wie folgt:Ich lade die Bilder über das Tablet in die Cloud und von da auf den PC. Tablet und Cloud funktionieren. Die Bilder sind online in der Cloud zu sehen. Der PC erkennt diese auch und versucht sie herunter zu laden. Hier beginnt das Problem. Es passiert nichts.Ein Fehler wird nicht gemeldet. Den Ordner zum runterladen habe ich gecheckt. Da liegen auch die anderen importierten Bilder.  Ich habe alle Bilder nochmal gelöscht. Neu aufgesetzt. Mal ein einzelnes, neues Bild geschossen und hochgeladen. Leider alles ohne Erfolg. Wäre toll wenn jemand einen Rat hat 

There is an ongoing bug that other users have reported on forums where arrow keys will become stuck while nagivating photos in the library panel. It's not my keyboard, it's not other software, it's a bug with lightroom classic and I can't find a solution anywhere else online. Please fix this problem

Is there a way make this expensive *** working faster on big screen? I bougt two 31,5" LCDs (2560 x 1440px) and LR running slow. Everything is slow, Ui, zooming, sliders, selecting photos.. everything. GC RTX 4060Ti, 64GB RAM.. PC is strong, every others apps and games work excelent, only LR is extremely slow. When I change resolution to 1920x1080, LR start working, not very well, but ussable.I don¨t wanna pay for 800x600 resolution software in 2024.

When I export images in jpeg format, no matter what resolution I set, the final exported image resolution is always 96dpi. However, when exporting images in png format, the resolution Settings are consistent with the actual exported results.

Hello! I use LRC for photo organization and will often do "Edit in Photoshop" function to make sure the file remains in my library in LR. Sometimes the link between photoshop and LR gets broken and I have not found a way to import it. I've tried synchronize folder as well as trying to import it. When I try to import it, it will move the file and/or change its name (for example, adding a -2 after it) but it will not show up in my LR library! Any advice? PLEASE! Tried of similar issues where LR won't be able to add new images and/or synchornize folders (I've noticed mostly for .psds). I'm operating on LRC 14.1.1 and MacOS 15.1.1.    [moved from bugs to discussions according to the community rules - Mod.]

Is there a list anywhere of the defalut values LR will set in the Label tag for the support colors?  We need to process images programatically based on the color tag, but we get different values in the Label tag based on the user's OS language settings, so trying to track down a list of all the values LR sets by default for each color in each supported language (e.g. Blue, Bleu, Azul).

Hi everyone, I was wondering if there is a way to delete a photo from an album, and at the same time delete it from the Lightroom Library completletly. When I delete it, it only is deleted from the album, but still exists in "All Photographs".  Thank you in advance and I hope everyone is healthy!  

Trying to email photos directly from Lightroom, without luck. Have tried with two different email accounts, one gmail and one thru Zoho.  Lightroom validates both accounts properly, but nothing happens when sending the email - no error messages, no progress bar for the export, no email sent, nada.The gmail account is set up with two step verification and a Lightroom app-specific password.This has worked (sporadically) in the past.BTW, when I first open the Lightroom email dialog box, it always shows "microsoft outlook" in the from box, even though I don't have a microsoft outlook account set up in Lightroom. I use Postbox as my email client. When I go into the lightroom email account manager, the only accounts that show are the gmail and Zoho accounts and as I indicated above,  both show as "green", validated.I have searched thru the forum for this issue and have seen plenty about email not working in Lightroom due to accounts not validating, but didn't see anything like this

Hello, well after looking at countless videos with no luck I've realized that I should have stopped  by here to begin with. And get the answers from the best source available.  My question is, how do I change the "copy name" from "copy 1" to "edit 1" with corresponding numbers for the multiple version of an image?  ie... "edit 1", "edit 2", "edit 3".... so on and so forth. Thank You
