I'm starting to think AI is messing with Lightroom. In addition to the print module, my crop tool is missing from the quick develope and now my user presets are gone. Is anyone else having similar issues?

Hi,   I spent hours editting a recent engagement shoot, and had my backup hard drive that I store my catalogs on disconnect by mistake. After trying to open back up my catalogue, it says it is corrupt and needs repair and will take several minutes. I've left it for an entire day to try and repair, and still does not do anything. Same message, no changes. I have the most recent back up is after the import, before ALL the editing I did.   Any chance there is something to fix this? or contact information from adobe to reach out to to help me repair this catalog?   [Moved from ‘Bugs’ to ‘Discussions’ by moderator, according to forum rules. I am busy testing Lightroom Classic with a view to moving from Photoshop Elememts 24.When I go to File - Import a Photoshop Elements Catalog, I navigate to the folder where my PSE24 catlogs are located, however the catalog files are greyed out. I can see old catlogs created in older versions of PSE.I am running Macos Sonoma 14.5

Recently, LR has started to misbehave. Not always, but often enough to annoy me. I do my edits, but after a while the the sliders sometimes stop working. If I switch to Library mode, the edits are there ... It's very strange.Anybody else experiencing this?PS. I have the latest version.

I'm trying to import video captured on my Pixel 8 Pro into Lightroom Classic. Previews are not displayed on the import screen, and if I try and import anyway, I see an error "The movie files contain no video frames. (1)".  I can import video files from the same phone with other configurations. I'm attaching a screenshot displaying info from 2 .mp4 files. The one on the left fails to import, while the one on the right works fine. Both play fine with QuickTime Player or VLC on the same computer. Als ik een virtuele kopie maak van een foto, krijg ik alleen een grijs kader te zien. De foto is niet te zien.Hoe kan ik dit verhelpen. In het verleden lukte het mij wel om virtuele kopies te maken.Bedankt

I am not a tech savy person and have no idea the inner workings of lightroom and my hardware. I'm at the point that I'm willing to  pay someone to help fix my lightroom setup, so I am not wasting hours on it just spinning.  I have a MAC M2 GB 8 latest sonoma 14.5 version. I think 8 RAM, which I know I need more, but even with 8 RAM I feel like I shouldnt have this many problems. I have the latest 13.1 updated version of lightroom classic.  I only have about 2,000 photos uploaded to lightroom classic and 170 gb of storage being used. A few days ago my storage was not this full, so I am not sure what happened. I uploaded to sessions and since then I keep recieveing errors that there is not enough storage and wants to close LRC. Regardless even when I had storage space Lightroom was incredibly slow. Any slight changes I made would take 30 seconds just to process. It gets progressively worse as I keep working on a session. Multiple times while working in lightroom

I am attempting to create a Slideshow for a family members memorial service. When I try to SAVE it, Lightroom Classic jumbles the order I have my slides in.  How can I get LrC to keep the order I've placed the slides in?If I can solve that issue, I'd also like to choose wwhen and where the slides change in conjunction with the music bed.  How do I do that in LrC. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Hello, I have a problem with my Leica SL3 RAW images and Lightroom Classic. When I import the images in Lightroom CC I can pick the Adobe Color profiles like Neutral for example. But in Lighroom Classic there is a message next to the profile window "Profile missing". The Adobe profiles are not available and I do not understand why. Can anyone help?

Dear community, I'm trying to figure out whether it is possible to import 3rd party (Zeiss) lens profiles into Lightroom Classic. The thing is that the profile is available in LR but not in LRC. Do I need to switch to LR or is there a way to import it to LRC? Many thanks!Karsten

 When I choose edit a photo in PS from LR, and do the edit and save back as a tiff. It shows the original folder as the targer for the same, but instead LR creates another folder with the same date as the original. See image.

I have a couple of old Sigma lenses which Lightroom doesn't know, so in the metadata I get 'Unknown lens'. I found an article online about using ExifTool / ExifToolGui / FullMetaExport to create a plugin and writing a script to correct the Lens, LensType and LensModel in the metadata. Whilst ExifTool & ExifToolGui are still around, FullMetaExport isn't. So any suggestions for how to fix the metadata, preferably not by editing it for each photo separately? I'm using a Windows PC and my Lightroom is up-to-date.  

I'm seeing new crash behaviour in the 13.3 LRC release on Sonoma 14.5. Just editing and adjust images. Have created a couple of presets to speed things up. Only playing with Exposure, Contrast and Highlights and maybe a crop. Worked on 2700 images yesterday it was fine. Today working on day 2 of the same project - so the steps are essentially the same. It's crashed 3 times in the last half hour. PS Upload performance seems to be faster..

A small question for the experts. Is it possible to get "Metadata Status" via the SDK? Metadata Status is available as tagset but I can't figure out how to get it..

I am having issues with LRC removing photos from a collection. I want to move all of my finished photos to a collection for sharing. I added the first 18 with no problem. Now when I add new photos to the collection , they will add and show syncing. When I come back some time later it has removed all but the origonal 18 photos from the collection. I have deleted the collection from both LRC and LR Web, and still the same thing happens. My syncing icon has also been stuck on 20 photos for about a week. Any help would be appreciated. Thank you

Hello,I have a catalog that I've been using for many years that seems to have become semi-corrupted. The metadata columns in the library filter no longer update and will remain stuck on "Unknown", "Loading..." or display data from the last selected folder which did have working columns. I have created a new catalog with the same folders inside and all the data reads fine. So there is something wrong with that particular catalog. Anyone have a solution? Lightroom Classic version 13.3.1 (but this issue has been presenting for at least half a year on previous versions). I have also opened a backup catalog from 2 years ago where the issue still exists.Windows 11 23H2

Are there an GOOD alternatives to Lightroom Classic? With the the "recent upgrade", I'm unable to work on my images. Hi all,  I'm running Lightroom Classic 13.3 on Windows 11 and a new laptop - The Denoise function has been fine and working quickly with no issues for the last few weeks. But yesterday when you load it, it flicks to black on the enhanced preview and then generates a black image.  I've checked that I'm on the latest version of Lightroom, which I am.  Does anyone have any ideas on how to resolve this bug?  Screenshot attached. Many thanks,Nick

I have created a book with Lightroom Classic current release and get an error uploading to Blurb and trying to create a PDF. It always stops on page 33 of the book. I’ve tried resetting preferences, reinstalling Lightroom, every suggestion I found searching on line. Nothing works. Please help.

Your help would be appreciated! ... here is my older workflow.I copy photos from my camera card onto my 😧 drive under a folder name (for each event).I then used to import those photos from that 😧 drive folder using "import as DNG"... because I was a newbie!When doing this LR (classic) has doubled up by saving copies of the files in D:/users/Ian/pictures/lightroom/2024 (eg)I NOW know its better to "add" from the folders in 😧I have deleted 820Gb of files/folders out of that D:/users location but now have lots of "missing photos" etc.Is there a way to consolidate all the edited pics I have in LR and is there a way to tie my edits back to the original files in the 😧 folder(s) in line 2 above?cheers and thanks for reading!
