Can I install an older version of Lightroom Classic to work with Catalina ?

Hi,I have had to reinstall windows and all apps after a significant hardware failure.I have had LRC and LRMogrify for several years and never had this problem before.I am trying to export 2 files from LRC 13.4 with LR Mogrify text anotations:CC25-07-24 (15).ARWCC25-07-24 (12).jpgExport as TIF or JPG there are no issues, export as PNG the following error occurs. The export settings are identical for each other than a change of extension.The export post-processing filter failed to render the file. (2)D:\Pictures\Nature\CC\CC25-07-24 (15).ARWD:\Pictures\Nature\CC\CC25-07-24 (12).jpgWhy? Running Lightroom on an Mac. My Mac was running out of storage space I needed to move entire Picture Folder to an external hard drive. How do I reconfigure Lightroom so it knows to look at the external drive when using Lightroom so it is not looking at the internal IMac hard drive? Light room files etc were in Pictures folder. Any steps on how to do this would be appreciated.

Keep in mind, that this trashing of the OS-Drive DOES NOT happen prior to some arbitrary number of photos (another community member tested with 35 photos). I haven't pinpointed exactly after how many photos the app starts to misbehave, but it is probably around 100-150+ photos. C s

Je traite un fichier panoramique en PSB dans LR et je l'exporte en JPG dans LR. Un aperçu est alors généré pour le JPG. Si je modifie les réglages du PSB et que je le réexporte en JPG dans LR, il arrive que l'aperçu reste le même et ne reflète donc pas la modification. Que faire ? Peut-on régénérer un aperçu manuellement ?

Hello, I performed the Lightroom CC Classic upgrade, and when it asked to upgrade the catalog, of course I clicked yes. Now the program opens, and there are zero photos in the catalog. I can navigate to only two ircat files now, and they are both brand new files with zero images. My original catalogs are gone! ???? Please help!

The command "Edit in Photoshop" doesn't work with the new update or when reverting to a previous version. When I run that option, all it does is switch the window to Photoshop, and then nothing happens; it just stays there. Photoshop isn't frozen, and neither is Lightroom; nothing happens. Since updating to this version, I've encountered error after error. I have more issues, but the post would be too long.   Im running windows 10 with a fairly powerful system.   [Moved from ‘Bugs’ to ‘Discussions’ by moderator, according to forum rules. I recently had to create a new catalogue but new images won't sync with Lightroom mobile app.  I can see that it is trying to sync but nothing happens. When I first started using Lightroom Classic the images from the original catalogue synced with the Lightroom mobile app without much problem. Now I'm not sure that I have the right location for the new catalogue specified. It shows Lightroom Catalog New Helper.Irdata. Is this the correct file to sync from? See screen shots attached.Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.

Hello everyone,I am trying to edit a photo to photoshop from Lightroom. But I can't see anymore the pop up menu - "edit original; edit a copy; edit a copy with Lightroom adjustments". It open the photo straight to PS.  After I did some correctionon to the photo, I clicked save and it appered  a pop menu to ask me where I want to save it.  In the past It never  appeaired  before that and one I clicked save the copy with the adjustment was directely visible on LC.  I do have the app updates and I work on a MAC-PRO 2023. How can I fix this? Thank you so much,Fede

My lightroom classic app will not open. i have tried uninstalling and reinstalling the app, i have updated my software and still no success. it will open the screen like it wants to open, then the mouse just swirls until it eventually stops and does not open. im going on about 4 days of this and no solutions yet. tried to do my workload in lightroom and none of my presets pulled over and about half of my collections arent there either. please help before i pull my hair out!  thank you! 

I have a huge problem, been using LRC for more then 5 years and this never happens before, I was editing photos from last wedding and now when i try to export the selected photos, the export menu window just wont show up, i try restarting pc for more than 2 times, but nothing, also i found out that few photos wont show in the develop window - they are grey - blank i have the newest version of LRC possible for my macbook pro M2 - 14.4.1 (23E224) osLightroom Classic version: 13.4 [ 202406181129-60d181b7 ]License: Creative CloudLanguage setting: cs-CZOperating system: Mac OS 14

Hello,Using Lightroom Classic V.13.4 (Windows10 last version) i imported a set of pictures into LR and made some operations on them but not all (sort - add sequence - GPS matches etc ...). Nb : Some operations (like metadatas) update directly original files.When i compare the weight of the directory before import and after export, the exported directory was much greater than the original (ie. 7. 63 GB versus 6.28GB originally). This may be logical.But then i investigated on one picture that was originally geolocalised and i discovered that - original picture is 2.7MB with horizontal resolution 72 PPP and vertical resolution 72 PPP- exported picture is 4.35MB  with horizontal resolution 240 PPP and vertical resolution 240 PPPIs that normal ? Would that means that the exported picture is better than the original ? May be i did something wrong ?Any feedback will be appreciated (sorry for my poor english)Best regards

Hallo,ich habe viele Bilder eingescannt und bin dabei die Personenerkennung zu nutzen.Nutzt das jemand von Euch und ist damit zufrieden? Ich finde die Erkennungsrate ist im besten Fall in einem Beta-Status. Da werden Büsche als vermeintliche Gesichter erkannt. In unserem Hund wird auch einmal ein bekannter Politiker erkannt usw. Adobe baut ständig neue Features in Ligthroom und die vorhandenen Funktionen werden gegenüber Mitbewerbsprodukten immer grottiger. Aber preislich wird ordentlich abgegriffen! Das musste ich jetzt einfach mal los werden.

Hi, I use an Imac  Sonoma 14.5 and when using Lightroom Classic the below message comes up : When investigating I find the folder "pictures" within "users" that contains all the backups. Normally I ignore the message, but now I notice the picturequality of the website I was exporting was inadequate. Also yesterday when I imported a new folder, no pictures were imported, just a set of plain colours. obviously something is very wrong.

I would like to set a default for import so that sharpening and noise are zero on import.  Everything I read says to set them, then alt right click on reset at the bottom which should prompt you to set these as the default.  However on 11.3.1 that is not the case.  Other than creating a preset and applying that on import that has it zeroed out is there a way to stop LR Classic from applying sharpening and noise reduction on import by setting new defaults? Thanks

Hi,  I'm desperate to find an answer because I put in so much work.. but I recent did a whole heaps of editing, then closed Lr. When I reopened to resume editing, none of my edits are showing. It's also mega slow.. like some of the thumbnails aren't even showing or loading properly. So I'm doing a clean up and seeing if that helps, but is it possible they just didn't save?? 

Hello everyone!When using the "Visualise Spots" feature I notice that as soon as I start "drawing" the selection over the spots, a lot of them (the smaller ones) suddenly disappear and only re-appear when the cursor moves in their general direction or gets closer.It's like Lightroom Classic is switching to a low-res preview image of the photo while the selection is being made and only when the cursor gets close it switches to a higher quality or higher resolution of that area.Naturally that's very annoying, it should not change until I've finished making my selection. Of course it's not that big of a deal when you're using a mouse and when you click every individual spot, but when using a graphics tablet to select or draw over larger areas it's really quite unexpected and unwanted behaviour.

System Information: LRC 13.4, Windows 10, Nvidia RTX 2070 Super   After updating to LR C 13.4 it is not longer possible to sort files manually in collections. I used this funtion daily. It does not matter. The drag and drop just does not work, neither with one or many selected images. It is the same problem in all collections, not only in one   I deactivated the GPU, still not possible to manually sort files, I activated the GPU, still the same. I rebooted the system, closed LR and opened it again, recreated the previews, it did not help   Sorting by the predefined paramters like creation date works fine!   Martin   Any clue what is going on? Lightroom Classic 13.4Windows 11 In develop the keyboard shortcut CTRL + ALT + R does not reset the crop.When using the menu (Settings > Reset Crop), the reset occurs as expected.

I've been trying to synchronize my vacation pictures from the iPad (LR) in LRC 13.4 for 2 days. I can see them all now, but the synchronization still says "481 photos are being synchronized". In LR on the iPad & iPhone & in the browser the synchronization is complete or there is no longer a message. Recently I can no longer see which picture is “stuck”. I can only switch to WebLR. Hi, I've read the threads about the time it takes to process AI denoise and I'm curious. I'm not a computer guy, maybe someone can help me understand. I have images from a Canon 5D mkIv and the estimated times on random photos range from 40minutes to 860 minutes. My machine has an Intel I7-3770K CPU @ 3.50Ghz and an Nvidia Quadro K4000 GPU (11 GB memory). I grabbed a photo with a time estimate of 38 minutes ( it took 20 minutes ) but I opened task manager and watched my component usage and my GPU usage was hovering around 2% but my CPU shot up to 100% ( Lightroom was using 98% ) .. All the threads I've read point to the GPU as the culprit for these long processing times but my task manager showed barely a blip on my GPU while my CPU was maxed out.  I would greatly appreciate any thoughts on this. My motherboard is ten years old and I'm not sure about just plugging in a more modern GPU when I don't fully understand what's happening. Thanks in advance for any help.

I appear to be stuck with the exact same version of Lightroom CC that I acquired in 2015 (2015.1) running on MacOs 10.15.7 (Catalina) despite being up to date with my subscription payments.  The built in 'Update' function under the 'Help' tab does nothing.  My plan inludes entitlement to both Lightroom and Lightroom Classic as well as Photoshop. However when I try to install either from their downloaded dmg files the installer fails to commence. Could this be because I have not firstly uninstalled the 2015.1 version of Lighroom CC?  I am reluctant to do so because I don't want to loose 9 years worth of edits. Can anyone please advise, Thanks

Does the program continue to name faces as I add new names to the database. For example, if I name a face in one folder, does the program update similar faces in other folders. Thus, as I add names to faces, the same faces will be recognized in other folders.

Hi, it has been days since I cannot move or modify a mask after creating it in Lightroom CC. When I create a mask, there is no lines to modify it (to modify the feather of a radial mask for example) and I have no "point" to move, extend or rotate it. This is really frustrating, can someone help me with it? Thanks
