I have a photoshop file with about 20 layers. I am trying to grab three of them that need to stay together and move them. They all have alpha channels, so when I select the layers, then try to grab & move using my mouse, I end up selecting the background layer and causing it to move. I'm unable to move the three layers I want to move together using my mouse. I tried putting them in a Group folder but that didn't help; when I try to grab & move with my mouse, it ends up selecting and moving the background layer. I can move by keyboard (Shift-V), but the image is 9960 x 5599, so moving the three layers that way is too slow.

Hey everyone, long ago I made this script with some help but right now I totally forget all about scripting and I need a little update. What it does is just combining several layers into a smart object, and rename it to the bottom layer. Now, if possible I want to copy the layer's color as well. Since last week my Design team began having issues with links they send using the Share For Review function in Photoshop.  Everyone who has selected these links get a Error 404 message. We have tried clearing browser cookie cache and history with no success. I've seen other posts in Adobe Community about Illustrator users experiencing the same problem the past several days with no fix.Thank you

I'm a heavy user of Photoshop (2023) and Lightroom Classic (12.5), running current versions of both, and also have Photoshop Beta 2024 installed. Today (September 8, 2023), the PS 2024 Beta performed an automatic update. After this, the feature to open multiple RAW files as layers in PS (open as layers in Photoshop) from Lightroom Classic is no longer working (into PS 2023). Fortunately, I still have the PS 2022 version on my Windows 10 PC and when I open that version of PS first, Lightroom can once again open multiple files as layers in Photoshop. I've been using the "open as layers" function for years. I suspect that something occurred with the 2024 Photoshop Beta that affected this feature in PS 2023. Any thoughts, solutions, or workarounds would be extremely welcome. Thank you.

The Layers menu no longer keeps Merge Down, Merge Visible, and Flatten Image in a fixed location. These options now shift based on context (active tool, layer type, visibility), breaking muscle memory and slowing down professional workflows. This behavior used to be consistent—Merge Visible was always at the bottom. Now it’s unpredictable and disruptive.Request: Please restore fixed menu positioning or add a preference to lock menu order. This is not a feature request—it’s a regression in usability.

I cannot open more than one image in Photoshop. If I open a second image it automatically is placed on top of the first image. How do I stop this happening?

Bonjour a tousDepuis que j'utilise windows 11  Pro, certaine des miniatures photoshop apparaissent et d'autres non,malgré tous les réglages possibles dans l'affichage des dossiers, rien n'y fait je ne peux pas afficher le contenu des miniatures, ce qui est très gênant, il faut ouvrir au hasard quand on cherche une photo. A titre indicatif, j'utise les deux versions de photoshop, classic et bêta. Quelqu'un aura-t-il une solution. Merci

Hi, since today I've been getting this error in Photoshop on many of the fonts I downloaded. The font texture has disappeared.It also freezes for a few seconds when I switch between fonts.I'm attaching a screenshot. On the left, the characters display correctly in Premiere Pro. On the right, they display correctly in Photoshop.

Hi,I‘m wondering if there is a way to only show the recent swatches in Photoshop CC, and not the huge area of preloaded swatches. I just want the panel to be slim and show just the recent colours. I have deleted all the swatches from any of the swatch presets, hoping once they were all gone the swatch menu wouldn’t need to be as large and have the big empty space where the preloaded swatches (or self made swatches) would appear. It takes a big section of a panel on the side bar when it’d be much more convenient for me if the panel could be slim, allowing more room for the other panels I’d like to show. Is this possible to achieve?Thanks.

I wanted to know how to combine images to look like one solid image. I have 36 images and sized them all the same I just need the lines of the edges of the image to merge. I will include a photo of what I am wanting to do. I must add, I think the provided images might have been an overlay. I have photographed all of my subjects individualy with a physical background. Hopfully this make sence.

HelloIs it possible to export a pack shot of a product in cleapr plastic packaging (plus labels) - so that when it is exported the clear packing is transparent and can be placed over different backgrounds or colours on a website etc Any advice / knowledge will be much appreciated, thanks

Photoshop on Ipad are not useable for professional photo retouchers. I don't need PC versions of these programs because I switch to Ipad it's faster than my PC 😄 I need on Ipad: RAW upload, camera raw (the same as in 12 version with options like sharpening/noise/light corrections/color grading. sharpening tools was perfect in this version), patch, pen tool, healing brush and spot healing brush in quality as in Photoshop CC (there were problems on Ipad with clone and mix color from textures, after use healing brush these spots was in different colors than the rest of the photo near these spots) + liquify and presets and basic actions. 

Hi,If I'm editing a raw file in ACR, all of my edits are recorded in the sidecar file, and can easily be returned to. If I then open that RAW file in Photoshop as a smart object, and then make more edits to the file by using the ACR filter in PS, those edits are not recorded in the original sidecar file.So my question is: Is there a way of exporting that data from PS so that ACR can use it?There's been a few occasions recently where I've opened a file as a smart object in PS, and then basically done all my editing via the ACR filter, and realized that I didn't even need to open it in PS in the first place, but now all my edits are in the PSD and not in the original RAWThanks,Stuart

Just worked on an invitation for my godson's birthday party and it was brutally slow - like working with Photoshop in the 90s.  I was done and went into the Image Size to change my dimensions and it completely stalled.  I'm probably going to end up getting out of it and losing most of my work because I haven't done many saves.  What is going on????  Do I have to go back to the way things were where I save my work every two minutes???

I have been using photoshop on my current computer for years. Yesterday I upgraded to a newer monitor. Today I am getting a message that says photoshop no longer works with my computer and I should contact the software provider. Any suggestions?

Is there any way for me to use this software? either through download, buying, or subscription?i was using it fine for years through the adobe subcription and suddenly stopped working. how can i get it back? customer service wasnt much help.

in photoshop there is a timeline, and you can import audio, for the past few days the audio wont play. What fixes it most of the time in closing and reopening photoshop or a simple restart. Ive tried this and its not working, i also have it so audio should play and its not mute. This is the first time since ive been doing this its done this.
