Whenever I try to print, photoshop crashes. No error messages, it just closes.I have uninstalled/reinstalled. I have removed any recenlty installed software (configuration program for a graphics tablet). And I have tried everything suggested in similar threads, the most recent being from back in 2023. Printer drivers are up to date, and the printer works fine with all other applications tested. It's just Photoshop that has this problem.Any suggestions? Thanks 

I am trying to change the color of one of my layers inside photoshop so that it matches the color of the background. Whenever I select this layer and then try to utilize the color sliders inside the Properties tab that opens after clicking one of the Adjustment options they don't appear. Is this is located in the preferences/settings of Photoshop where it only needs to be 'checked' to appear? I am at a loss. Any help on this issue would be greatly appreciated! 😊

I know this has been reported before but its still not fixed. The very latest version of Photoshop 25.4 in MacOS Sonoma 14.3.1 all up-to-date as of Feb 13th 2024 the cursor in Photoshop after a time begins to flicker not matter which tool you use. So for example if you select the brush tool the cursor will flicker from the brush tool to move tool and just generally ficker on / off. The only way to stop this is to restart the Mac not just the app.  Besides this Photoshop also affects the mouse cursor in the OS. In any web browser when you hover over a link you no longer see the hand picker cursor the cursor just remains on the arrow. MacOS is such a stable, beautiful OS and this kind of behaviour has no place on the platform. When I don't use Photoshop I restart my Mac about once every 2 months as I have zero issues.  Adobe can you please address this issue, I know I'm not alone in experiencing it. Pixelmator doesn't do this and it costs a fraction of the price

I am looking to purchase a Dell desktop computer for use with Creative Cloud for Photographers (both Photoshop and Lightroom). Can you give me some guidance as to system requirements for the desktop and the monitor for decent performance? Any caveats to avoid? Do I need to go with a Dell Tower? I am not a professional photographer but am serious about my photography. Thanks.

Doesn’t matter if it’s a layered file or a flattened file. Photoshop Beta, which was also updated today, works fine.   

This is a real problem. I use Photoshop every day for work. I am unable to change the fonts in PS. It glitching to the top of the list, or if I get it scroll down to the font I want, when I click it simply reverts back to the old font. I have tried changing the preferences to show 0 in the font history. I have tried using both the top drop down and the panel to choose the fonts. This is a big issue for me. My patch tool is in a hidden toolbar and when I try to drag it into the main toolbar, it is not highlighted and so not working, it is not an image or layer issue, but the tool itself.Any ideas?

Today’s update to Photoshop V27.10 still leaves the On Device remove tool unusable on Windows 11 with an RTX 5080 with 16GB VRAM and using the latest driver. Version 29.0 worked perfectly and quickly months ago, but since updating to the current version, the tool fails. It stalls for minutes, forcing the CPU to handle object removal instead of using the GPU. Subsequent removals have the same long delays. Happens on both my workstation and laptop (RTX 4090) Switching to Cloud-based processing works, but what happens when using Photoshop somewhere without Wi-Fi or hotspot access?  The same issue applies to the current Beta version to which I have reinstalled Beta 29.0 on my laptop to be able to use the On Device remove tool in isolated signal areas.

Is there any way to access a legacy version of Shadow Highlights? I recently upgraded to the latest CC from an old version of PS. I was able to use the old Shadow Highlights to do a general correction for a batch of concert or people photos before re-editing individually. It brought up the shadows and limited the highlights in a sensible way. The new SHH (and all the other light controls I have tried) are very crude — every correction seems drastic. The slightest tweak sends levels into the fake-looking stratosphere, and this over-sensitivity makes global corrections impossible. In general in PS, the corrections aren’t scaled correctly. If you want a big change in the image you should have to dial it up over 50% more or less, not tiny percentages hard to control.

At the top bar of Photoshop 27.11.0 randomly I get the “Filter” menu greyed out and I cannot click on it.if I quit and reopen the app everything works and the glitch will only happen after some minutes of use. Photoshop version: 27.11.0 20260929.r.26 8c16e56  arm64 (final, Release)Operating System: 27.0.1 (26A434) 

I'm having a problem with several filters in Photoshop 2026. My document is set to RGB Color, 8 Bits/Channel, so it meets the requirements for these filters to work.The filters are not grayed out or disabled in the Filter menu. They are available and can be selected, but when I click them, their dialog boxes simply do not appear.For example:• Smart Blur: the dialog box does not open.• Radial Blur: the dialog box does not open.• Median: the dialog box does not appear, and the filter is immediately applied to the image at what seems to be maximum intensity.• Distort filters: none of the ones I've tried display their dialog boxes, so I cannot adjust their settings.I also have plenty of free scratch disk space, approximately 300 GB.The main issue seems to be that Photoshop recognizes these filters as available, but is either skipping or failing to display their configuration dialogs.What could cause filter dialog boxes to stop appearing even though the filters themselves are enabled? Sometimes, I make copies of layers (for example: copy little diamonds to align into a shape of the letter M). Each time I "alt+drag" the content in that layer (to make a copy of it), PS makes a copy and then appends the name of the layer to something like "diamond copy 3". After making a ton of copies (and because I'm anal about having actual names for each layer), I want each layer to read "diamond". Instead of manually renaming all these layers, is there a way to highlight the affected layers and choose to rename all layers according to what you want?

Has anyone at Adobe stressed tested opening Photoshop and having the window lose focus - like Alt tab to another window? In the three or so incidents where Photoshop has failed to load properly (having to end task from the task Manager) I think this might be the cause. Just sayin’ 

Hi, I recently signed the Creative Cloud to use the Photoshop on my MacBook Pro but discovered after that the newest version is incompatible with my OS High Sierra (10.13.6) so I can't use the new one and neither download the previous versions.I had payed CC before, but canceled an deleted the files, since I was no longer using it. And I remender that was possible to download the older versions.Searchead a lot about it but had no luck. I tryed the tutorial from adobe about how see and download the versions in CC app, but mine is empty. Can anyone help me, please? I really need it to a new job project and can't aford a new computer (and my computer still really great, thoses obsolecence things makes me a little angry) thanks so much

I have a set of 54 bingo images, all cropped to the same size and resolution. I need to arrange them randomly on a canvas; I have tried using scripts generated by ChatGPT and Gemini, but without success.

Please AI help us with one of the nastiest things in Photoshop history, the naming and sorting of layers in groups. One click and AI sorts and renames layers by its look. Doesn´t have to be perfect and a undo function should be available. But could help a lot. And/or V2: I can prompt a set of rules how to clean up my mess. (All buttons in group etc)

Hi Adobe Team,I am experiencing a severe issue when using Adobe Bridge -> Tools -> Photoshop -> Image Processor to convert RAW files to JPEG (both when running an Action and when running it without any actions).The problem: Photoshop opens the RAW files but fails to purge the temporary cache from the physical hard drive (SSD) after closing each file. Instead of just saving the 10MB JPEG, it keeps allocating massive temporary virtual files on my physical disk storage (Scratch Disk). This ghost storage space is never released and keeps growing file after file, drastically reducing my available Mac storage in real-time. The only way to completely clear this space from my physical SSD and restore my hard drive capacity is to manually close Photoshop.This issue is completely halting my daily professional workflow. Hello Adobe Photoshop Team,I am experiencing a serious performance issue in the latest version of Adobe Photoshop while designing photo albums.My workflow is very simple:1. I create an album layout/document in Photoshop.2. I drag and drop a photo directly from my drive into the Photoshop album layout.3. The photo is placed correctly on the canvas.4. When I press Enter to confirm the Transform operation, Photoshop takes approximately 10–15 seconds to complete the operation.5. During this delay, Photoshop becomes unresponsive/very slow before completing the placement.This happens even when placing just ONE photo at a time.The important point is that this problem does NOT occur in an older Photoshop version. The same computer, same type of album workflow, and same type of image work normally in the previous version.Important Version-Specific Finding:I have tested the exact same workflow on different Photoshop versions. 27.10 is slow saving files: 1) Super slow (20 seconds to save a 4K resolution .JPG file.) 2) Erroneous warnings that the file has been updated (it's hasn't) before saving. 3) PS seemingly locking up when saving. Reverting to the prior version of PS (27.9.1) cleared up all the issues. OneDrive being enabled or disabled didn't make a difference.Open and edit any PS .PSD or JPG file. Try to save it. Wait and wait and wait.
