Hello,I am an artist and I want to print my paintings on Fine Art paper (here, Canson Etching Rag). However, I am having trouble using the ICC profile for this paper in Photoshop 2026 on Windows 11 Pro. (my printer: Canon PIXMA Pro-200).I downloaded and installed the official ICC profile for the paper. I have copied the ICC file to C:\Windows\System32\spool\drivers\color and restarted Photoshop. It works on Canon software, but it does not appear in Photoshop — neither in “Assign Profile,” “Convert to Profile,” nor in the proof setup.I have also uninstalled and reinstalled Photoshop, but the profile still does not appear.I want to be able to soft proof and adjust my files in Photoshop before printing on Fine Art paper. Is there a solution or workaround to make Photoshop recognize this ICC profile on Windows 11?Thank you very much for your help.
I'm not sure if this is the right place to post this.I'm on Safari 26.3, and I'm using macOS 26.3.1. Go to https://helpx.adobe.com/photoshop/kb/downloadable-plugins-and-content.html.2. Scroll until you see "Textures for Texturizer Filter".3. Click on the "Get file" button. You're supposed to see a file named "Textures.zip" pop up. But instead, it downloads a file called "Textures.html", that seems like its supposed to be a 404 page.
The previous version of Photoshop compromised history brush usabilty and the current version (27.2.0) renders them useless.
Hello — I have a large set of unedited .jpg images and a matching .xmp sidecar for each image (each image has a unique corresponding XMP). If I manually import a JPG together with its .xmp into Lightroom or Camera Raw, the .xmp produces the expected color/develop adjustments. However, the dataset is too large to process manually. I’m looking for reliable ways to apply these .xmp develop settings to all images in batch, ideally in an unattended or command-line workflow.Any suggestions on this?
Screen keeps flashing to black during editing. This started with the last serveral updates to Photoshop both reg and beta. I am using the same Nivida 4080 GPU for two years and I keep the driver up-to-date. It does not matter if I use the Studio Driver or the Game Ready Driver. There have been no other changes to hardware or software.
Photoshop Version 27.1 Windows 11 Version 25H2 Drivers: NVIDIA GeForce MX250 Version 577.03 Intel Iris Plus Graphics Super Display Virtual Adapter Photoshop boots up fine and the menus work great. When I try to open ANY type of file, an error window pops up and says "Adobe Photoshop encountered a problem and needs to close." That's all it says. I have tried: -Restarting my computer -Updating Photoshop -Updating Computer -Checking computer storage space (there is PLENTY) -Uninstalling and reinstalling Photoshop -Tried to hold Cntrl+Alt+Shift while booting up photoshop (which was reccommended and supposed to bring up dialog box to reset all photoshop preferences) Nothing popped up. When I try going through menus Edit--Preferences--General... I don't see any options to reset preferences. -I know I've updated my graphics processors/drivers before but it's giving me grief this time. HELP!!
Why does PS keep occupying memory without releasing it? How can I solve this problem? I opened 30 files and the memory usage reached 28GB. After I finished processing all these files and closed them, the memory usage remained at 28GB. When I opened new files, the memory usage continued to increase from 28GB until the computer froze and crashed. Only when I completely closed PS did the memory get released.
I’m planning to disable Windows Ink in Photoshop using the well-known PSUserConfig setting. This won’t break with future updates, right? Is anyone actively using this method?
I've had a really big headache after installing a new GPU in the past weeks, because I found out most of the shortcut I was using were eaten from soemthing else before photoshop. I was not able to find this on any bug report, or any forum post on the adobe community so I am sharing it.If you have an AMD GPU / CPU, and use adrenaline, and are facing similar issue, I suggest you open Adrenaline and change the default shortcut of said software for recording and other features. IMPORTANT: if you are using windows, the shorcut get eaten even if the software is closed in your little taskbar on the right. This software is running in background the wholetime even if there are no icons showing it. A single process is sufficient and the shortcut get eaten anyway. Beware. I have a project that I have worked on in photoshop (web/online) and I am unable to save the project, download the file, or "export as..." to save it a different way. I am worried about closing the browser because the project is not saved anywhere. Each time I try to save or download, the saving progress bar gets stuck at 67% (it gets there very quickly and then nothing else ever happens). Please help!Kylie
When trying to do anything in Photoshop Web, I get the following error - EVERY time.
I always run Adobe software as Admin in Winodws because of the heavy reliance on the Registry. When you start any app that way, the UAC prompt pops up to confirm you are you, then the app starts. In Photoshop 2026, this is the UAC prompt: How do we get this info to the development team to fix? It doesn't break anything, just feels unfinished, and makes you wonder what else was overlooked. This is three versions old and still in the app.

Windows - GTX 5090 - 128GB Ram - AMD 9950X3DPhotoshop Version 27.2Bets Version 27.3 (also freezes)Windows Version 25H2NVIDIA driver version 591.59Seemingly randomly; about a week ago Photoshop began freezing as soon as I take almost any action beyond using a brush on a blank canvas. Some examples:- Attempting to exit the program- Attempting to open a saved PSD when one is already open- Attempting to place an image onto a layer- Attempting to open a image or PSD from CTR + O- Attempting to select an object on a layer within an open PSD- and many more...The issue doe not go away when launching with no plug-ins.The issue does not go away after removing the preferences. The issue does not go away after deleting my font cache. The issue presists in Beta Photoshop, older versions of Photoshop, with an older Graphics Driver (Game Ready & Studio). No other program within my normal computer usage appears to have any issues. I need help. 😞
Be careful: Generative Upscale does not do what the Adobe text describes, i.e., “create a new, larger document with more detail." Today, I tried using it on a map (Using Photoshop 27.2.0, Tahoe 26.2), thinking that it would enlarge and sharpen the file. It did not. Instead, it made up false details throughout the map. For example, it created rivers where there were not rivers, and it gave mountains shapes that were not on the original map. If I hadn't taken a closer look at the map, it would have been a total disaster. Firefly is cearly not ready for commercial applications, and Adobe needs to better describe what it is doing with it.
If we use the colour balance on a photo with increasing 30,40 or 80% of red colour or etc...!! then the preview was not showing on the photo. But when we click Ok button, then it was directly applying to the photo. This problem is showing when we Keep Off the Graphic Card in performence option... If the graphic card is on..! then its showing the preview in live even we not clicking the Ok button of colour balance. please solve it.
I've recently got a new laptop (Windows 11) and downloaded Photoshop on the new one. Previously, I could go to File > Import > Video frames to layers, but that option isn't there anymore. I also can't drag a video clip into the window (it says 'Could not complete the command because no parser or file format can open the file') or open a video file. I've tried downloaded a few versions - the one that downloaded initially was 27.2.0, I tried 27.1.0 and went back to 26.0.0 because it was the oldest one they had and none of them worked. It definitely worked on my previous laptop, though I'm not sure specifically which version it was - definitely a 2025 one. These are the options I have under file. Has anyone experienced this and knows how to fix it?
Hi, I need to find best way of adding shadows to my 'models into real scene' photos.I reckon start with the aircrafts plan view as a black silhouette and lay it on the ground.attached the .psd file for download. It has plan view before my attempt, as well as my best effort.I am assuming shadow is directly under the aircraft, an overhead light , then I will soften edges and mellow it , being a cloudy day. Wheels then get an extra shadow. In order to get the shadow, I take the planview, then try to pull it down to the correct shape.I tried transform>perspective, the most obvious one, but failed.warp no good, skew no better.Distort, and its a struggle, the tailplane doesnt want to behave. Just what is the way as the shadow is the plan view, but on the ground ! CheersMerlin
Subject: Feature Request: Direct "Place into Shape" or Instant Clipping Mask Option Dear Adobe Photoshop Team, I have a suggestion to improve the workflow in Photoshop. Currently, to create a clipping mask, we have to place an image, create a shape, ensure the layers are in the correct order, and then select 'Create Clipping Mask.' This process is time-consuming when working with multiple objects. My Idea: Adobe should introduce a "Direct Clipping Mask" or "Place into Shape" option. * A user should be able to right-click a shape and select "Place Image into this Shape," or * Simply drag and drop an image directly onto a shape to automatically create a clipping mask. This feature would significantly speed up the design process and make the workflow much smoother. I hope the team considers this enhancement. Best regards, Chavan abhi
Hello. I downloaded this animated mockup PSD of an Apple tablet and iPhone shown here. Both the tablet and the iPhone are animated so that they both rotate towards each other and then back to facing front again. The PSD canvas size is 1600h x 1200v and I need to increase the canzas size to 1920h x 1080v AND scale up the tablet and iPhone so that they are both larger. They are both smart objects and I don't really have any experience using smart objects in Photoshop. The problem is, when I increase the canvas size, my custom webpage that I created and pasted on both the tablet and the iPhone screen is off kilter and appears halfway off of each device's screen! ALSO, if I scale each device to 150%, my custom webpage on each device's screen is also off kilter! Can someone please tell me how to increase the canvas size AND how to increase the size of the tablet and iPhone AND how to have my custom webpage that displays on the screen of each device also be the correct size so tha

When I updated my Adobe photoshop 2026, I never had a good day. The photoshop crashes after I processed every 2-3 photos, sometimes even crashes the system and cause reboot or forced power off. The lates version is Photoshop v27.2, Camera Raw v 18.11 suffer the same problems. The crashes mostly happen in Camera raw when select objects using musk or apply a preset to a selection. I believe that the SW developers have poor understanding of using GPU, and bad strategy to recover from error. As I know, the versions of Adobe photoshop prior to 2026 never taking advantage of the GPU. The Camera Raw uses GPU heavily for AI related tasks, and performs badly and encounter frequent errors and crashes. This is a headache for me since I have to user task manager to kill the hanging app, and sometimes unplug the power cord to force a poweroff and restart.I don't understand why Adobe does the poor job for Camera raw. I tried Lightro
Hi everyone, I often use Photoshop to prepare screenshots and simple visuals for step-by-step guides and documentation. The challenge I face is keeping images clean and easy to understand, especially when highlighting specific areas without cluttering the screen. I wanted to ask:- How do you usually annotate screenshots for guides?- Do you prefer arrows, boxes, or subtle highlights?- Any tips to keep visuals clear for non-technical users? This is an example of how I currently structure visual guides: [weblink removed as per forum guidelines] I’d appreciate any suggestions or workflow tips. Thanks!
