I use Photoshop Elements 12 (PSD) and Premiere Elements 12 (PrEl) on a Win7Pro OS with 16 GB RAM.   I want to use PSD to edit disc menus used in PrEl.   When I open a given disc menu (either scene or main menu) in PSD, the layers are shown in the layers panel.  One PrEl-12 help reference referred to an arrow to the left of a layer-folder to use to access the components within that layer.  That arrow does not show up in my layers panel.  [Please see the attachment “capture of edited disc menu in PS cropped.”]   Q:  Is there any way to open these GROUP folders to edit the components?  I would like to change the color of a scene menu button frame or an arrow.  [Please see the attachment “capture to show frame.”   I have also tried to “simplify layer”, but that doesn’t seem to help any.   I have been able to delete a group folder (i.e. “foreground”).  Thank you, Carol ps - I mistakingly posted this in the "Photoshop" forum - oops

Receiving this error message repeatedly whether I try to import one video at a time or 765 videos at a time. I've tried importing from the card reader and from the computer. Last import was about a month ago and there were no issues. Any ideas?

I was wondering if anyone has experience with running Premiere Elements on a PC using AMD Ryzen 5 3600 and GTX 1660?  I built the computer for my Grandson to edit videos for his Youtube channel.  I wanted to ease him into video editing and thought Premiere Elements would be a nice place to start.  However, I noticed that the processor and GPU that I chose are not listed on the supported components for P.E.  Since I already built the computer, do I need to consider another editing software?   I personally use Premiere Pro so I figured I would stand a better chance at helping him with his projects if he was using Premiere Elements. Thank you, Gary

Why does my video go to japanese and say my video if offline?  how do I fix it

Hi, I have problems with lagging and jumping on the timeline and on the preview monitor when trying to edit MP4 videos. Before installing premiere elements 2020 i used version 12 on the same computer and there were no problems. My computer have the following specs: Intel (R) core i5-4670 CPU 3,40 Ghz,16 GB RAM, Direct X 12.0, x64 system and Windows 10 Pro. I have also installed all windows updates and an update from Adobe for premiere elements. I have also reinstalled the program. Are there any hits? 

Hi, i am using Adobe elements 14, and I want to change the width size of my movie, as my movie is stretched. How can i do this. I only see change in format, but keeps the aspect ratio. Thank you

I'm using Shapes in a Title video object. It took me a long time to format these shapes the way I want them. I need to re-use the shapes many times throughout my video. So, I copy/paste the Title video segment into a new Title video segment.  Problem - whenever you copy Shapes in a Title, and Paste to a new title, ANY change to EITHER segment affects BOTH segments. There is some connection between the original and the pasted segments, so anything that affects one affects them both.    I understand for what I need that Captivate would be a better application for me. That being said, I could use Premiere Elements if it didn't have these rridiculously stupid limitations. I can't think of any other application where modifying a child object goes back and corrupts the original. 

Premiere Elements 19I recently purchased a new GoPro Hero7 Silver, not realizing there are only 2 default resolutions to shoot in 4k (16:9) and 1440 (4:3).I'm trying to put together a vacation video, but want it to be in 16:9.  Is there an easier way to crop the video down to 1080 other than just using the "motion" editor and zooming in to 133.33%?  It seems very tedious to do this with every single clip I import.This is my first go around with Elements and can't imagine that is the only way.

Hi everyone, I installed a trial version of Premiere and Photoshop Elements, after a week a bought the full version. I got my serial number and everything, but the trial version is still on (so on the videos I still have the black line). It anyone know how to change the trial version or where to find the table for writing the serial number? The table didn´t open anywhere after buying the full version. Thank you very much!

Saturday, November 14, 2021I just bought Premiere Elements 2021 a couple of days ago. I previously was using PE 2020, and had made some editing guides to use in properly dividing the workspace window length into 3 or 4 sections. The workspace window length on PE 2021 is significantly shorter that it was on PE 2020. I've tried clicking on the Restore Workspace otion in PE 2021, but that does not restore the windown length to the same length as it was on PE 2020.  Is there a simple setting that will allow me to set the workspace window length on PE 2021 to be the same as it was on PE 2020 ?   See https://drive.google.com/file/d/1Rc10UEAdrYd24m1NczjUGrOk8hQa7tr1/view?usp=sharing

Alright, any help will be sweat off my brow for sure. I have a music video in which I play the guitar and sing for most of the video. But I also play a harmonica lead in the middle of the song. I want to split the screen at that point so that one of me is on the left playing guitar, the otheer on the right playing harp. Then when the lead is over, it should go back to only the guitar playing video. What I need is step by step instrucitons on how to do this... the youtube videos are made to confuse I do believe. Keep in mind I am a novice so I need it step by step. Again, any help--much appreciated!!!

I have been using Adobe Premier Elements 14 for years.  I record video using OBS studio in H.264 .mp4 format.  I have not had any issues with this.   I just purchased Adobe Premier Elements 2021.  When I load a video in this format initially I can preview it.  As soon as I make any edit (usually I trim off the beginning where I am setting things up), when I preview (after doing render or not) it junps back and forth several times then starts playing, but the audio begins at the beginning of the file (not where I trimmed it) but the video starts at the right point.  This happens every time I edit a track making it impossible to edit videos with this tool.   I tried an experiment and edited a short video this way and rendered it.  It rendered the audio from the beginning of the original file but the video form the point I cut at. I have tried the various steps, rebooted, ran adobe by itself with nothing else running.&n

OK - not an experienced Premiere user - dabbled a little but by no means hugely proficient, so be patient with an old(ish) duffer if you will...I have a short video clip and I'd like to know if I can select an area (similar to selecting in Photoshop) and change the colour, and have that track through the clip...Thanks

When I press play to preview the video, the images start to blur a bunch like they are bicubic resizing or something.However, when I press pause, the images automatically switch to a better resolution. Are there solutions or settings I should know? Any answers appreciated.

I've deleted all of my projects except for one. But it still takes up 18GB of my storage. The one project I have is two minutes long. How do I fix it?

The download link for Adobe Premiere Elements 2021 (Windows 10 64-bit) is not responding. Does anyone know this problem too? How can it be solved? Thank you. Incidentally, the link for Mac works.

I am making a video of my daughter reading a favorite soty to her daughter. I've scanned the pages of the story book and want to put a small video of my daughter reading in the corner. The pages will dissolve into each other as she reads. How do I get a square or 'portrait' image of the video of my daugher? Would appreciate suggestions on how to burn blu-ray discs for PRE 2020 projects.  I have accumulated (and continue to accumulate) HD camcorder video for which I want to edit and produce blu-ray discs.  Techniques, suggestions and/or software to burn PRE 2020 mp4 projects to blu-ray disc would be appreciated.

I recently upgraded from Premier Elements 2016 to the 2020 version. I am trying to do some very simple in Quick View that has seemed to change in this new version. I have added a video from a file. It is showing on the timeline, occupying about 10% of the horizontal length of the screen. I need to zoom way in on this clip to do editing. The help for Quick View arranging clips says: "To zoom in or out as you add a clip, drag the clip to the Quick view timeline. Hold down the mouse button, and press the Equals (=) key to increase the zoom factor or press the Minus (–) key to decrease it.". This is not working. Nothing changes in the view. The help also says "To zoom in on the Quick view timeline, drag the Zoom slider to the right, or click the Zoom In button". Where is the zoom slider? I cannot find this either. Any advice  here would be greatly appreciated. 

Getting back into shooting & editing after a 16-year absence from TV news (I now work for a government agency)I have Premiere Elements 2019.I shoot w/a camcorder: Channel 1 is the onboard shotgun mic...channel 2 is for interviews w/my stick or lav mic. Both channels are "on" while shooting. When I import my video, the audio in each mp4 clip is a blend of both mic channels. How do I pot-down the channel 1 shotgun mic...in order to isolate the lav-mic audio w/o the background shotgun mic noise? I haven't found the answer after searching the internet. Someone I know thinks that this is not possible in Elements--only in Premiere Pro--and that the solution is for me to simply turn down the shotgun mic when I shoot--thus, only shooting CH2 audio. Is this true? Or is there a way to pot down that shotgun mic audio in my imported mp4 clips?

Hi,My Premiere elements 2018 quits when importing mp4 from snagit-editor (version 2021). Does anyone kwno how to solve this? Are there different types of mp4 files? Thanks for any help,  Robert 

I would like to animate a shape or pen drawn mask in Premiere Elements similar to the 4th effect in this video by Orange83 (which shows how to do it in Premiere Pro).  Another effect I would like to do is have text revealed as someone walks by.  Is this possible in Premiere Elements?Thanks

Have just purchased Premier Elements 2021 from Amazon. It loads ok but when adding a video the top screen is corrupted with horizontal lines. I then notice that the version I have is the "Upgrade Edition". Does this mean I have to purchase an earlier version or is there an easy fix. I could return the disc to Amazon and repurchase a full one.

I have a project (recent) created in Premier Elements 14 which uses (with no problems) three mp4 files all shot on the same phone (Galaxy s10e).Yesterday, I upgraded to PE 2021. I opened my project and it picks up two of the mp4 files fine but on the third it reports "The importer reported a generic error".That file plays fine in Windows 'Films & TV' app and still loads into PE14, so it has not become corrupted since the last usage.Any suggestions? (Other than using PE14 to act as a transcoder for PE2021!)
