I have been dealing with this issue all day and have yet to find a solution. Anytime I try to play video (either in the preview window or the timeline) it stutters no matter what file format that I'm using. So far I've tried clearing my cache, reinstalling and updating the drivers for my GPU, deleting all my prefernces in premiere, changing the playback quality, changing the video preview codec in the sequence settings, and making sure that I had the render and playbacy set to GPU acceleration in the project settings. None of this has worked. I just updated to the latest version today (03/17/2025) and that's when the issues started. I can go back to an older version if need be but I'm hoping that someone here has been experiencing similar problems. My System SpecsWindows 11 64 BitProcessor: 13th Gen Intel(R) Core(TM) i9-13900KF 3.00 GHzRAM: 32GBGPU: NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3060 Ti (with the Game Ready Driver installed)Storage: 800GB with 130GB free Any help is app
Hey guys, how do we save text presets (styles) now in PPro 2025? I have a text layer over a video with a white background color - i attached a screenshot, i just want to be able to save this text style, but since "essential graphics" panel is gone i don't know how to!
Every time I relaunch Premiere, the Project Panel moves to the lower left panel group, even though I prefer in the upper right Panel Group. This also happens in my custom workspaces when I click "reset to saved layout", even though I saved with the panel where I want. This started with CC2019. Is this a new "feature"?I have unchecked "import workspaces..."I have dumped my custom workspaces in the finder and started from scratch.Any ideas?
Premiere pro gets stuck at 94%. Have tried exporting through encoder, clearing cache , restarting comp and most things I found on threads. no special effects on the specific time of the freezing , even removed the whole clip , still froze. Any thoughts?
Hi, Completely new here and my mind is a bit blow from all the different file, types, names & advice seen on the internet ect. I shot some video footage on a sony a6700 and the files were save in xavc s 4k format, I had previosuly shot in xavc s-I 4k and could import the videos fine. However reading (maybe wrongly) shooting in xavc s 4k format can create better files to make a crisper/cleaner edit?! However now when I try import the files to my macbook pro and into premiere pro (25.3.0) the videos are really glitchy and I can't watch edit them. Even when using beta version. It will accept the mp4 video file but rejects the .MXL file - But they are really glitchy in premiere pro and quicktime can't play them. I have tried adding the whole folder from the memory care and try to get the proxy files? from the sub folders but nothing appears... Macbook Pro from 2020 so a little dated.Processor - 2 GHz Quad-Core Intel Core i5Graphics -
Very certain it used to be clickable option specifically for guides and now it's gone. Why remove this useful feature when "snapping in monitor" won't do that natively? Not being able to fine tune that option is incredibly annoying.
Hi! To anyone that sees this message, I have no idea how to "roll" my end credits in Premiere Pro 2025.I read from a different user that the 'Essential Graphics' tab now falls under 'Properties' but I don't see the "roll" button anywhere to tick off for my end credits... Does anyone have any clue where the "roll" button has gone? I also don't use a Mac (I use Windows), so I'm not sure if the layout of things on Premiere Pro 2025 is different. (Based on a number of short YouTube videos to do with finding the 'Essential Graphics' tab which would've supposedly have the "roll" button found instantly. I'm currently running on a tight deadline, so I really hope someone finds this post ASAP! Thanks in advance!
I am getting an error which I haven't had before unless the frame rates are off and it isnt this. I an getting the dredded camera skip/bump and not sure why as my source is fine and filmed at 24 fps. You can see that the camera bumps and im not sure why - i have deleted cache, updated version, using gpu, set mic to no input and other stuff but the camera is skipping for an unknown reason. Even when i send to the media encoder it just exports and is a choppy mess! I just cannot find a solution unfortunately and no idea what to do. Any help please?

Hello, I'm in a bad place with Premiere Pro. I've been workshopping with ChatGPT and Claude and neither have been able to crack it. The issue is the blue tint. The blue tint shows up in the export panel. I think Premiere is seeing the clip as Rec. 2020 so I tried changing that but got nowhere. even I'm editing ALL-I, 6K, 59.94, D-Log, footage from the Mavic 4 Pro Creator's. I have experience editing many different forms of video (re-re-interpreted/modify), but this one seems stuck. It's probably a simple fix but I don't have it in me to keep failing and killing time. I've tried to modify the footage to see the clips as D-Log and Rec 709 but that doesn't seem to be the fix I need. I One of the possible solutions was to interpret each and every clip in the projects panel before I insert into timeline but I'm not going to do that. Even before the export panel, I can't help but think the color is off, with the official DJI D-Log to Rec 709 LU
Hello, I use Premiere 24 for work (version 24.6.5 which is what my whole team is using for our company pipeline) and after a recent computer upgrade every time I open a project the sequence markers are now appearing on clips and we're all stumped with how to fix this/why it's happening. This only affects project markers created before my computer swap, if I go to make new markers they will appear as sequence ones. Things I've checked: Under marker tab - "Ripple Sequence Markers" checked and "Copy Paste Includes Sequence Markers" unchecked "Write Clip Marker to XMP" is off Any help would be greatly appreciated, thanks!
Hi All! I'm working on a project that has about 40 different marker points to help me organize all of the clips. I'm adding footage from a range of different sources, and each time I drag a new clip into the timeline or set and in+out point, I need to move a bunch of other clips around. Every time I do this, I need to make a ton of little adjustments to my markers because they don't move with the clips as they adjust their placement. Is there a setting within Premiere to connect a marker to a specific clip so they move together when timeline changes occur? Thanks for your help!
Hi, I just downloaded the latest version (25.4) and it won't open! It opens a warning window telling me it's damaged and can't be opened and that I should move it to the Trash. It shows an additional text saying that the file was downloaded in an unknown date. Anyone else got the same problem with this version? Thanks Specs.: Mac Studio (Apple M1 Max - 64 MB - macOS Sequioa 15.5)
When I right click on the clip, Edit clip in Adobe Audition is in gray (it works for photoshop). I've searched for this problem but no suggestion works for me. Even using unistall both-->reboot--> reinstall Audition then Premiere Pro then reboot again. Both are 2020 version. Any suggestions? Thanks
I am working on a video project where I need to covered part of the video with text. I have the text on a seperate layer over the video with the background turned on to cover the video beneath. The text is stationary, but when I render the clip in Premiere, it looks like it is flickering. This happens when I export as well. I've tried removing the background and layering it above a plain graphic, but it still flickers. Any ideas on what is causing this?
What does it mean when the error window "Overlapping clips are audio-only. Multi-camera source sequences require at least one video clip" pops up while creating a multicam clip, where at least one video clip has been selected? The error suggests that a video clip has not been selected.
I captured some dialogue audio for a voice-over on a product video, and after editing out the white noise and background sounds in Audition, my audio clips sound pretty good. No buzz, no echo, no static. Just good clean and clear audio of the lady reading the script. However, when putting it into the video in Premiere Pro CC 2017, I realized that she was speaking much too slow to fit the time requirements for the video, so I needed to increase the audio file speed by almost 10% to get it all to fit inside the time constraints and match the visuals. Under Speed/Duration for each audio clip, I selected "Maintain Audio Pitch" so I don't get the "chipmunk" sounding voice, but I noticed that there is now a serious "tunnel effect" to the audio. I tried to clean it up using the Essential Sound panel in Premiere, and after testing different options, chose the Dialogue option with Background Voice equalizer settings, the Background Walla Walla preset, Enhanced Speech Male and a Warm Voice reverb
Hello, I notice that I can't export the Premiere Pro Project Metadata, which has all of my custom fields. I can export all of the default sections, like Dublin Core, Basic, Rights Management, etc. Has anyone been able to do so? Thanks!
Hey all! Mogrt lover here - I usually spend my time making lower thirds and titles and such but had a bit of a difference instance this time in creating a YouTube Description scroll which requires a Video Media Replacement option. Everything runs GREAT - until I replace the vid on premiere. It's just a still. It won't play anything. It's not the individual video either as I've tried swapping it out with other things. Any help appreciated! Sharon
Hi ! Found the problem troubleshooting in every way until i finally reverted to previous adobe version 25.3. Problem solved. So I'm positive the problem came with the update. Drone files frozen : h265 HEVC 10 bit 4:2:0 What I first intended to write, in case it could help a developer or programmer : I've been working on a big editing project for some months and all was going well. Then I installed the new update (25.4) august 2025. And since then, everything is the same EXCEPT the playback on my own DJI MAVIC PRO 2 Footage, that is choppy and laggy. -I'm on Mac Sequoia 15.6-I cleared cache -restarted and rebooted numerous times -tried importing the footage from another hard drive : same problem -playback isnt laggy when I just watch the video with vlc or preview window -deleted render files -Even rendered, still choppy, sometimes frozen.-The files in my project have different frame rates and encodings and all of the other sources works well, as it did befo
This issue cant just be related to text over png. I have a project that wont render with the same error code. I thought this was only happening in the most recent version, but after rolling back to 25.1 - where I had no problems - and then forward to 25.2.1 i'm getting the error again). I have manged to successfully export once - by rendering previews (sequence set to quicktime 422HQ) and then rendering using previews to the same settings - and then using ME to encode to h.264. What a faff. WHen the render fails it appears to take the graphics pathway with it, because I need to restart premiere to get any playback.THings I tried1.The sequence contains text over a mogrt, which I nested and still got the error.2. removing all those nests: sequence rendrered OK3. Nesting the nests -still failed (at a timecode that didnt appear to have a title?!)4. tried again to export without the sequences (recreated the sequence-free timeline): rendered ok (wasnt a fluke)5. Remov
I’m beyond frustrated. This bug has existed for months, and it’s STILL not fixed. Here’s the issue:In the Source Monitor, when I set In and Out points on an audio clip, they do NOT show up visually on the waveform. The lower bar (time ruler) shows the In/Out points correctly. But the waveform itself — which used to highlight the selected area — shows NOTHING.However, if I reopen an older clip that already had In/Out points saved before, the highlighted area DOES appear. What does that mean? The In/Out points ARE being set, but the waveform UI refuses to update. This is clearly a visual bug with the overlay layer, not a shortcut or user issue.I’ve tried literally everything:GPU renderer → software-only modeReinstalled PremiereReset preferencesDeleted media cacheUsed WAV instead of MP3Updated NVIDIA Studio driverUsed NVIDIA Control Panel to force Premiere to use the dedicated GPUEven created a new Windows user accountDowngraded from Premiere 2025 to 2024Tested on Premiere BetaNothing worked.Yet
I’ve encountered an issue in Premiere Pro v25.1 where the color management for proxy files is lost.I’m working with footage from Sony FX3 cameras, which is correctly recognized as Sony S-Log3/S-Gamut3.Cine. After creating proxy files, every clip in my timeline initially has its color space properly recognized. However, when I closed the app and reopened it the next day, I noticed that some random clips lost their color management while proxies were enabled. Disabling proxies restores proper color management for all clips, but this isn’t a viable solution. The only workaround I’ve found is to re-add each clip from the bins to the timeline—an incredibly time-consuming and frustrating process.I’ve tried clearing cache files, but the problem persists. The issue appears inconsistent while closing and repoening the project, different clips lose their color management each time (while proxies are enabled).I eventually reverted to Premiere Pro v25.0, and so far, everything seems to be work
Tryig to save a corrupted project folder. I have made a new project and have successfully moved all the folders into the new project. But the sequence simply will not import (it stalls out while trying). I have also tried highlighting and doing the copy paste thing but when I highlight and let go of the left mouse button the hightlighted area just disappears and for some reason rolls the audios up on themselves. I am able however to copy and paste one clip at a time by right clicking on the clip itself and then move it where i want it in new project but this is going to take forever. Any other ways to move multiple clips and audio or the whole sequence at once?
