Hi im new to using premier and im trying to import a large mp4 file to edit on mac. The file opens just fine in imovie but when i try to open in premier it just opens a progress bar to say its importing but doesn't progress at all. Also tried opening in media encoder and the progress bar fills up but then just sits there and doesn't complete

Hello! I am very new to Premier pro and exporting my first video. I have googled and googled and googled and can't for the life of export to a clear HD quality for YouTube. Settings I have as below. Is there something i am missing. Video input source seems consistent at 1920 x 1080(1) 29.97Fps and my stills are all different dimensions but that's ok it works for the best part. It's mainly the video that I would like to improve the export quality of.Published video quality as it is for reference:    You tube video example What am I missing?

Hi there community!  I'm having a heck of a time exporting my feature reels because for some reason the Audio is taking an exceptionally long time to render.  This has been a problem with this particular project and after using Premiere for 10+ years, I'm really stuck and have no idea what to do.  I can't walk away for an hour every time I need to export a 12 minute video. I'm using the latest version of Premiere, Macbook Pro 16-inch M3 Max 128GB, Sonoma 14.7 This project is running 6K video, and the production audio is 48k 32-bit.  I'm also using a mix of other audio sources from sound effects libraries, music rips, etc -- it all plays just fine as I'm cutting, but the longer I work on this project, the longer these audio renders take.  I don't even get a progress bar when the audio render starts, I just get this for 20-min to an hour before the video render starts.  The video takes no time at all. I've got about 32 tracks of audio for orga

HiI need to export a sequence to Pro Tools and it's very important that the timeline markers, appears on Pro Tools.I exported in AAF and OMF, the audio tracks are OK, but no Markers.If I export an AAF from Avid Media Composer, the Locators (this is the name in Avid for markers) appears in Pro Tools.Both, Video and Audio edit stations are Mac based and we have a Nexis Server from Avid.Thanks

I have a clip of 4K AVC footage from my Google Pixel, with MediaInfo reporting VFR 24.534. Premiere hates it (playback and scrubbing is jittery and hangs constantly). A discussion on this forum led to "the problem is the VFR footage - change it to CFR and a codec meant for editing". So I'm trying to get the footage to ProRes422 and CFR, however I have lip sync issues. The audio keeps up in general, however there are occassional, significant inconsistencies with the lips matching the audio. It's not usable. I use Shutter Encoder to change the clip to ProRes 422. I've posted on the Shutter Encoder subreddit re: various settings (I included that below, just in case someone here knows the software), but figured I'd ask some general questions here. I'm assuming the lip sync issue stems from taking VFR and forcing it to CFR. Is that true?Is there a solution to get it to CFR other than re-encode?Since the VFR has the best audio sync, should I look for some other solution f

Hi,I’m experiencing a strange issue where my audio sounds perfectly fine when played through a media player, but as soon as I import it into Premiere Pro 2025, it develops crackling and static noises.Issue Details:The original audio file plays flawlessly in media players.Once imported into Premiere Pro, the audio starts to click and crackle, even without any effects applied.The issue persists after rendering and exporting—the exported file also contains the crackling.My audio is recorded at 48kHz, and my sequence settings match this.I’ve tried setting my default input in Audio Hardware to "No Input" and increasing the buffer size, but it didn’t help.I am not using Variable Frame Rate (VFR) audio.I’ve used the same setup multiple times before without any issues, so I’m not sure what’s causing this. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Hi,  I have been using Premiere Pro for multiple years now and have never had any issues exporting. I tried using iPhone clips in a video for the first time and when I went to export Premiere just quits or crashes without any notice or diagnosis. I figured it was just the iPhone clips so I made a new project with some old footage that  I would typically use and the same thing happened when I tried to export. I use a Mac Pro M2 and don't ever have issues with storage or anything like that. I have been trying to find a solution for the last three days and none of what I have tried has worked. If anyone has experienced something similar please reach out. Thank you. 

I have been using Premiere Pro for almost 2 years now. I was using Premiere Elements for a long time before that. Premiere Elements when importing files, kept the files in order of the original folder they were imported from. Premiere Pro does not do that, but mixes up the order in the edit section in the program. This makes searching for the needed files frustrating, and can often miss a file because it was not easily found. Can the next update for Premiere change the software to please import the files in the order they were imported from the original folder? Or at least give us the option for that in a setting. Its gotten to the point when I redo an old Premiere Elements video, basically to remaster it in higher rez, that I open the Elements file and convert to Pro, because at least the files are kept in order then.

Hey, I edited a screen recording and because my Adobe DL didn't work, I updated After Effects and Premiere (Mac- CC 2015). When I opened the project in Premiere with the new version, the audio and the video dont match anymore. They are all still linked and edited correctly, just that picture and sound dont make much sense anymore. I tried making the media offline and relocating it. I also didnt add DL to After Effects anymore. Does anyone have an idea, what I could to to get my audio back on track? It's only one video file but it was quite long, so I would prefer, not to watch the raw material again. Kind regardsTheresa

I have noticed issues with the dynamic link between Adobe Premiere Pro 2025 and Media Encoder 2025. The problem has to do with interpreting color changes on the source clip effects/Color page on source clips- (when accessing through modify>Color). I have noticed this problem across multiple projects and computers. Basically, when these are sent to be exported through media encoder they don't have the proper color information from the source clip and appear to have no change from the log/base media color space. I have made these changes both through the color panel and through creating a Lumetri color transformation effect as a preset and dropping it onto the clips. Both resulted in being incorrect when exported through media encoder. A workaround is just exporting through Premiere itself which in both cases has worked out fine but for a lot of projects I need to be able to batch export and leave my machine running in the background. I could see having an option to turn this typ

Do you think the maximum number of colors is 16? Can I add or reduce the number?  

I have suddenly recieved this message whilst trying to export a video. I've been using premiere pro for months and have exported loads of videos of similar content with no problems.  I've tried removing the video at the timestamp it mentions but that hasn't helped.  Any ideas what I can do to fix this? I've attached the info on my laptop so you know what I'm working with. Although premiere pro sometimes crashes whilst editing, I've never had any issues with exporting before. 

On the timeline control area to the left, the A1 V1 toggles buttons (the ones you turn off and on to shut off video or audio) are simply not appearing. This state prevents me from adding either video or audio to the timeline. This is a big problem and needs the highest priority.   Please resolve with the next bug fix as I cannot use Premiere Pro in this condition. I'm working off of a new computer and forgot to turn off auto-update on my creative cloud account, and so today woke up to 24.4.1. Yesterday I was using 24.3.    Two major issues I've encountered thus far:   1. The fx button on clips gets in the way of me selecting clips on the timeline with my mouse and moving them. Instead I find I have to zoom in so as to avoid this annoying button. Moving clips on the timeline is far more important than an fx button. This should be fixed/resolved asap.    2. I like to have my my timeline tracks as thin as possible so I can see as many of the layers of video/gfx/text/audio as possible. BUT when the timeline tracks are at that thinness you cannot use 'show duplicate frame markers'. It simply isn't visible. I have to 'shift +' to see if any clips have already been used. This is not an improvement.    I've been working on an hour long sequence all morning now, and these are the two issues that have most jumped out at

Cuando reporduzco el vídeo se oyen  como unos clics de fondo continuamente en el audio, pero sin embargo el mismo vídeo en la versión anterior de Premiere Pro se oye perfectamente. Tengo montada una tarjeta gráfica de audio SSL 2, he actulizado los drivers de la SSL pensando que era eso y sin embargo continua presentado el mismo problema. ¿Alguien me puede ayudar?Gracias.

Quando eu vou entrar na aba de exportação do Premiere tanto o 25 quanto o 25.1, a tela de exportação fica preta aparecendo apenas o preview do vídeo.1- Abrir algum projeto:2- Abrir aba de Edição;Não consigo exportar os vídeos que editei.

Estou com problema grave no adobe premiere, ultima versão 2025 , em uma sessao que ja estava trabalhando, de repente do nada, toda vez que abro ele no meu Mac Mini M4, uma sessao que ja etsava mexendo um tempo, ele nao reconehce os arquivos renderizados e nao localiza, toda vez que abro sao quase uma hora para renderizar tudo de novo, e perco toda edicão de cores, eu nunca vi isso, estou com tudo de ultima geração e mesmo assim com este problema, sinceramente bem decepcionado com experiencia do usuario do premiere, muitos bugs, principalemente relacionado a cores e agora esse, pior que quando tento colocar legenda priemiere fecha do nada, e o cliente esperando eu entregar o trabalho institucional. aguardando um suporte da Adobe pra resover meu caso     Adobe priemiere 2025 Mac Mini M$ 16gb ram

We've just upgraded all of our studio pc's to 24.6.4 and we're having intermittent saving issues. In heavy projects they will lock up, the program monitor will lock on one frame even if I move the playheaad and then I can't save, either through closing the project or ctrl+s. The saving dialogue box will appear but the progress bar won't move.To get it to work again I have to force close in task manager, and open an auto save. This is why I don't like updating, I've been on 23.6.4 for a long time and had no issues at all.5950x, 128gb ddr4, rtx 3080, latest windows 10...

I have Premier Pro, version 25.0.0 (Build 61).  I use an Asus VivoBook with Windows 11.I have the GPU accelerator turned OFF because I don't have a dedicated graphics card (I'm a hobbiest on YouTube and Rumble, so my videos are shot and not terribly complex).Ever since the last update, Premier Pro keeps locking up every time I either: 1) Import a new video clip2) Clip out part of existing video clip, and then slide the two remaining clips together3) Clip out part of an existing video clip and insert a photo in that space I'm having to shut down are restart nearly EVERY TIME I make a change now.  What's up and how do I fix it?

I am trying to apply a lumetri color effect to a the source of a clip.After cuting it from the effect controls panel, the option to paste in the sorce is greyed out.Is this a bug? How can I fix this?   

In previous versions of Premiere Pro, when you zoom the Program window in any higher than the "Fit" level, sliders appear on the bottom and right of the window allowing you to move around the frame (see below).   In Premiere Pro 24.5, the sliders don't appear and there is no way to move around the frame once you are zoomed in (see below).   macOS Ventura 13.6.7 M2 Pro Mac mini 32GB

I created a lovely track matte key animation as part of a transition in Adobe Premiere Pro 2021, now that I've updated to 2022 it's stopped working.  Please can you fix this ASAP. I've had to re-create this in After Effects but it just does not look the same and I can't revert my project back to Premiere Pro 2021 too which is also really annoying.

This may be a really dumb question, but is there any way to use keyboard arrow keys to make fine adjustments to lumetri sliders such as exposure, contrast, etc?

Hi there, Video example  I have this wierd problem that's been going on for a very long time in both Premiere 24 and 25.We shoot on FX-6 in S-log3/S-Gamut3 and use the "override Media Color Space" function set to Rec. 709.We then apply a creative lut on an adjustment layer (SGamut3CineSLog3_To_LC-709) and everything looks good.....UNTIL I open the project again, and then it looks very oversaturated.  I suppose it is a bug, because as soon as I change a setting in Lumetri (on the CLIP!, not adjustment layer) everything looks normal again.I've attached a video example.  I thought maybe this has to do with cache, so i've deleted ALL cache multiple times, but it does'nt fix it. It's OK if you have one clip, but the problem is, we have to do it on ALL clips, otherwise is looks like that while editing, and even on exports (both premiere and media encoder). So we waste so much time.. Any suggestions? Let me know, if I left out important detail
