I was attempting to open a project file inAdobe Premiere Pro Version 24.5.0 (Build 57) The project file is saved on:Skandisk driveCapacity 4TBAvailable 2.09TBFormat ExFAT The source files and the project files live on the same external drive. When I unplug the drive from my editing partners MacBook and plug it in to my Mac mini to work on it. I get the following error before I am able to even view a loaded timeline: "Force Quit ApplicationsYour system has run out of application memory.To Avoid problems with your computer quit any applications you are not using." The only application I have open is Adobe Premiere Pro 2024 (not responding) 99.03 GB I was able to use Premiere Pro without it crashing when I was not using the drive. The drive and the project file are not corrupt because they still work on my partners computer My Computer: Mac mini Apple M2Ram: 16GBGPUMacOS Ventura 13.5Storage: 245.11 GBAvailable: 187.05 GB My editing pa

I have a single video source that I dropped on the timeline (sequence 1.) I've chopped it all up to remove sections.I've now duplicated the sequence (sequence 2) and want to replace the video with an alternative but keep the cuts.  How do I do this please? I've tried replace clip, but for every cut it restarts the video at frame 0.If I use replace footage, it also changes the video in sequence 1.

Version: 23.5.0Mac OS Monterey version 12.5 When I export an h264 (.mp4) file from Premiere Pro or media encoder, a black frame is added to the end of my output.  The strange thing is that if you play the file in quicktime, the file plays through to the end and stops on the last frame of video that you would expect to see.  Howerver, if you scroll to the end of the video inside of quicktime player, you will see the black frame.  You will also see the black frame in your export window of premiere pro if you scroll to the end of the clip as well.   If I import the mp4 file into Avid and a few other encoders, you see the black frame, you also see that the duration of the clip is 1 frame longer.   If I bring the file back into Premiere, or DaVinci you don't see the black frame.  Adobe has recreated the problem on their end, but they are still looking for a solution.   The workaround for now has been to export anything else from Pr

Hi all,A few months ago I exported a cut as H264 and reimported it into a timeline, edited it like crazy and now realize I want to have this new cut but with the original higher quality footage. Is there a way I can automate this process or do I have to go back and visually match the original footage to the mp4 now edited in my timeline?Thanks for your help!Jenny

I upgraded to PP 2025. It already has so many issues slowing things down for me that are apparently just the way things are now, but I'm hoping this isn't one of them. It used to be that if I accidentally moved the audio track of a clip out of sync with its video or vice versa, it would highlight that in red on the timeline and show exactly how many frames ahead or behind it is so I could easily move it back into place. I don't see that anymore and that's not an optional feature for me. Is there a setting for it that just happens to be turned off in 2025 by default? How do I see that again? Thanks!

Hi guys, i created a .mogrt file on adobe AE (version 16.1.2) and sent it to someone else, but he couldn't open the file since he is working on CC2018. what I read in the forum, my newer AE obviously uses another engine to create such .mogrt files.. which causes this problem.is there a way to make it compatible with older versions? like I can export a .aep file for older versions..?   thanks for your help

I'm not sure if it's because I accidentally messed with some files or if something else caused this.I specifically need it to create RGB text or rainbow text effects. Guys, hi! I have a problem in Premier Pro 2022: when I open a project, it does not open, but simply disappears, although it seems to be open on a Macbook M1. When you create a new project, there are no problems, but as soon as you open it after restarting Premier Pro, it no longer opens and does not work with hotkeys. When you click on your project from the main screen, it is either not completely displayed on the screen, or it is shown as in the screenshot. Because of this problem, hotkeys in combinations with cmd may not work.

I recently stumbled upon something I've never noticed in Premiere before which was a huge game changer. It happened while I was pinching to zoom as I usually would, but rather than zooming the monitor it actually enlarged the scale of my video. This is actually super helpful because I was then able to move the video around. I have no idea how I did this, I've tried everything possible. Does anyone know what it might be?

Hello @Mathias Moehl ! Over the last few months, you've been helping me create a suite of tools that duplicates a Primary Sequence and makes the necessary changes to that duplicate. This has allowed me to automate 11 deliverables!Now, I've hit a wall and don't yet know how to get over it. Some of my deliverable sequences have different audio settings than the Primary Sequence (multichannel instead of stereo).  Duplicating the stereo, Primary Sequence doesn't work when the deliverable sequence needs to be multichannel. So I'm thinking I have two options...-Add a function that changes the Sequence Audio Settings from Stereo to Multichannel (which I feel is impossible in Premiere without starting a new sequence).-Copy all clips from the Stereo, Primary Sequence into a new or existing Multichannel Sequence.So I guess that's my question - Do you have any resources to get me started on writing a script that copies all video clips from one sequence to anothe

Reaction Youtuber with copyright concerns in my vids.I one out of two layers to play at a time.  That is, if the audio layer  is muted, a visual layer then plays. If the visual is off, the audio is on. is there a way to link these two layer in such a way that they have an inverse relationship?

Hello,   I just installed Premiere Pro 2025 through Creative Cloud Desktop and made sure that before installing I selected English language in the Creative Cloud settings, following this guide: https://helpx.adobe.com/de/creative-cloud/help/change-install-language.html When Premiere Pro is now installed, it still is in German language... Then I change the system language to English and Premiere Pro is English. But how can I get English Premiere Pro on a German OS?   The reason is that I am a beginner and when I watch tutorials, they are in English or when I have a problem I want to ask the community and not having to translate and wildly guess which name is most likely used for a tool in the English version.   How can I achieve this?   Kind regards, Max

I have backups of old projects that I am trying to recover on my new computer from both my old hard drive as well as some portable hard drives. Every single project opens properly, even after updating to Adobe PP 2025, but for some reason, every single backup I had for this one project (named VAP), both the original saved files, the backups, and the auto-saves open as demonstrated in the attached picture, with no sequence and the project panel completely vacant. I've gone through Adobe 23 - 25, installing them to see if the older versions make a difference, but they all produce the same result; I have not tried 21 or 22 because it did not appear as an option on Adobe CC, but I would also assume the same result based on the previous three attempts, and only one of the project files goes back to 21 anyway. The most frustrating thing is, before I upgraded my computer, everything worked perfectly, but out of the multiple older and newest versions of this one project (VAP), not a

For some reason Premiere keeps freezing for a few seconds when I want to play my video. It doesn't happen every time, but it happens enough to be very annoying. Sometimes Premiere even goes to "Not Responding" mode. I have sufficient specs (RTX 4060, 32GB DDR5 RAM, 2TB storage), but it still has these issues. It doesn't even seem to matter if there are many effects on the clip being played back; it still has the problem. Someone please help because this is wasting hours of my day that I can't afford to lose.

Hi all, every year I go through my iPhone videos and combine similiar videos (e.g., vacations). I keep it simple - I import the files, keep the "match source" option, and export. When I play an individual original video on my desktop it's super smooth with great color, yet when I combine them into a file the final video stutters and the colors are a bit muted. I record my videos at "4K at 60fps (High Efficiency)." Am I doing something wrong with the export which is causing this? I can't combine my videos if they're going to stutter like this. Thank you. Adobe Premiere Pro 25, Windows 11

I was editing something on Prem 2024 but decieded to open project in 2025. I created a new sequence in this project and began editing. Premire then crashed, and now when I try and open any of the projects I had been using, premiere asks me to convert them again and I can't find the sequence. Can anyone help, please?

Hello All,  I have been trying to export a 4k video from Premire Pro to an MP4 file for a while and it does not seem to work. Premire Pro seems to get stuck on 100% and in the export location it has 4 files.   Which are : .tmp.aac.m4v.mp4 For some reason after 100%, it does not result in one file. If i were to close Premire pro/cancelling the process. The files remain there however, all of them are corrupt and does not work. I am exporting to an external 4TB SSD harddrive and my cache files are on an external harddrive too. The file size is approximately 17-18GB. If there are any solutions i would be very grateful !  - Latest Version of PP 25.1 PC Specs i7 4790k16GB RAM2TB SSD Harddrive Any export settings recommedation would be helpful too 

Welcome to what? Another version with no requested changes and no fixed bugs? Can´t see what i would consider a fresh new design anywhere in the software. The audio goes silent after a few seconds of playback; that´s annoying. Can´t change the font size using numerical values. One can wonder what one pays for.

It's simple: No matter what I try, be it resetting the app prefrences, changing the channel map or restarting the computer – when I apply pitch shift, nothing happens. No pitch shift.

Hello, I wanna press 8 and 9 to ease in and ease out in the keyframe section (I'm lefthanded thats why 8 and 9). This is extremly important because it saves a ton of time. For some reason its not working. Can someone give me a fix for that? Best wishes,Danny
