This has been a problem for me since the first time Auto Reframe has been launched. In the meantime I changed several different versions of Premiere Pro, my OS and even changed computer. At the moment I'm using MacBook Pro 2019 2.3 GHz 8-Core Intel Core i9, MacOS Ventura 13.0.1 and Premiere Pro 22.6.2. After I create a vertical sequence from a 16:9 one using Auto Reframe, I go ahead clip by clip and try to adjust the positions of those who are not centered in the subject. I do so by changing the values next to "Adjust Position". In the program monitor, nothing moves. It does only when I change "Reframe Offset", but this doesn't have the toggle keyframe function. Why is this? How can I use this function properly?
QUICK SUMMARY: How do I auto-convert Premerie save files to the latest version of Premiere automatically (keeping its original name) and skip this box? [screenshot attached] Hello! I'm constantly going back into older files and updating them for clients. Every month, I revisit 10-20 saved files to update or gab assets for a new video. I work with many different clients with hundruds of different files going back many years. So when Premiere updates, and I'm required to go through this dialog box EVERY time I open an old file... and its tedious. I'm not here to complain about the function. I think it's a wise feature for many.I hope that someone would be able to help me figure out how to overwrite the old files automatically, keeping the same name. So, if I have one file in my folder, it would overwrite that one file with the same name. I have ZERO need for backward compatibility, use ZERO 3rd party plugins, and ALWAYs use the latest updated Premiere. So auto-convertin
Hello. I have a Mac with two screens. In some Premiere menus there is a second menu level. When the software is opened in full screen on the left screen, these menus are cut off because MacOS does not display them on the right screen. It would be good if you could detect whether a menu is protruding from the current screen and display it in the right place.
I am trying to export a video in square ratio 1920 x 1920 but it clipped the ratio like this:Normally I just start a sequence by "New sequence from Clip", and then it would follow the ratio.I have been working in the same settings for weeks, and they are all good until tonight, I even tried to export another video that had exported correctly before, but tonight, it gives the same ratio problem! I have tried many ways including clearing the temps, start a new project/sequence, and still no change.Wonder what happened? The correct version should look like this:

Hi, is there an official way to install Premiere 22.6.4? Since the release of Premiere 2024, the installer is no longer available on Creative Cloud - we rely on it for our work. Unfortunately, Premiere 2023 is not usable as it becomes extremely slow and buggy after a short period of time. Is there an official solution from Adobe for this? Kind regards,Hendrik
Hey guysI want to hide the dock and use Premiere Pro in full screen! So i know that there is an option on my MacBook to auto hide the dock but I want to keep it on place and only when I open Premiere Pro in full screen to hide.I already tried the auto hide dock option and it works perfect but its very annoying when I need to put the arrow on place of the dock to show it.
Hi, I got chess patterns in my sequence, it should be in blue color in default, but it turns white with some hatch in it (the blue bar of the footage after dragging to the sequence), how can I fix this and recall it?
Several times in the past week, I have been having constant issues with premiere pro just completely trashing my progress and I'm at my wits end today. Does anyone know why a long clip was automatically dragged over half of my project? Deleting all the clips that were there and in their place? Premiere crashed, and when I re-opened my project, there was the clip just randomly there, overwriting over half of my project that needs to be done tomorrow. Yesterday, I even manually saved my project before closing it for the day. When I opened it this morning, ALL my color grading was deleted and it was back to the original. That was hours worth of work. None of the auto-saves ever work. It always says "this project cannot be opened because it is damaged" when I try every single one. So I worked on re-doing everything today. Now the clip overwriting thing happened and I also could not recover any auto-saves. The only thing I could open was how the project was opened this morning. AGAIN erasin
Not sure if this is a bug or if my workflow is the problem, but when working on a project from premier i organized all of the clips, turned it into a composition, edited the clips in after affects, and went back to premier to edit sound, add effects etc. and realized the audio had become distorted. If it helps at all, it sounds like the video was put through an old videogame and played back to me. Is there a reason why this happened and is there a fix to it?
I work at a company where our server is not shared storage, so editors work off of external hard drives. The Mac connected to the server is a Mac Mini 2024 (M4 Pro chip), so it crashes when I try to do transcriptions. The editor did transcriptions on his Mac Studio 2023 (M2 chip), so the source clips in his project have transcriptions, whereas the source clips in my project do not. Is there a way to "consolidate" his source clips with my source clips so that his transcriptions get applied to my source clips?
This is the message I get when I try to export using CUDA (GPU acceleration). When I try to export, it gets stuck at 0% encoding and won't continue. If I cancel, the viewport goes black and I have to restart the program.I'm using Windows 10 with two NVIDIA GTX 970s and one 1070.Here's a list of fixes I've tried:Switching to "software only" for rendering (works but I need GPU acceleration for the project)Clearing the media cache filesRestarted my computerRan Premiere as administratorReinstalled PremiereSet Premiere to be high performance in the Windows graphics settingsI can't update the NVIDIA drivers, Premiere, or Windows as I'm using the latest versions of all of these. Windows is blocking Premiere from accessing GPU for some reason but I'm not sure how to fix it. Any information is helpful.
Subo un audio o video, individual o vinculados y se ve y se oye como cuando pierde fotogramas pero no reporta el error o la perdida. ¿Qué puedo hacer?
I upgraded my Creative Cloud subscription from Photo to All Apps because I want to edit Apple ProRes LOG HEVC files shot with iPhone 16 Pro using the Final Cut Camera app. When I try to import the HEVC LOG files I get either an "unexplained error" or an error stating that an HEVC-related .dll file couldn't be installed. I've followed the instructions for deleting the HOSTS file, but it didn't help. I've also waited 18 hours to be sure the update to All Apps went through. The Adobe app for automatically removing HOSTS seemed to hang, so I opened the HOSTS file manually. It contained no Adobe-related content; I suppose this is related to the error installing the HEVC .dll file. After uninstalling and reinstalling Premiere Pro using the Creative Cloud Desktop app, the HOSTS file still contained no Adobe content, and Premiere still wouldn't open the HEVC files. I'm running the latest version of Windows 11 on a desktop Intel machine with 32GB RAM, an RTX 3060 graphics card, and In
Problem: Nothing works. Ever.Step 1: Try do do anythingStep 2: Try againStep 3: Try the same thing but differentlyStep 4: Try anything elseStep 5: Scream because everything is so clunky or doesn't work at all. Step 6: Explain to your employer why you don't have a video for them yet.Step 7: Explain to this forum that your computer has Windows 11, 128GB RAM, 12900K CPU, 3090 Graphics card, 1TB NVMe main drive, Editing off of an 8TB NVMe drive, the latest Premiere updates, the latest drivers for all hardware. The footage is 6K, proxies are 1080. The real problem comes from the fact that playback is jumpy and skips. Performance is slow. Lumetri Scopes takes 10-30 seconds to show updated levels once sliders are moved. Graphics presets a have always taken FOREVER to update for the past 10 years. Audio features suck:1. No way to get normal sounding audio out of a 2 track audio file using "Enhance Speech".There is no proper workaround that allows you to take a 2 track clip,
I've been using the creative suite with a PC But my daughter just got an apple computer. Can she access the membership with her apple? I'm aware only one can be operating at a time
I'm just gonna flat out say that moving the text away from the effects tab and now you need to go to windows<properties to edit the text to how you want it has to be one of the worst decisions I've ever seen. It's extremely annoying that I need a separate window now for text and on top of that, it's very buggy for me where I try to highlight text to edit, but it flat out refuses for me to edit any words. Abysmal change
Hey all, I've been encountering a strange phenomena when using the limiter funciton within the dynamics effect. Whatever I set the limiter to in a certain sequence: when I nest that sequence in another sequence, it ends up being -3db under what it's set to in the original sequence. For example, if I want to nest a whole interview so I can easily make sweeping color or sound adjustments later on, if I adjust the audio so it reads as a -6db peak amplitude in the original sequence, it will become a -9db peak amplitude once it is nested into another sequence. I checked the the clip and track mixers and they're all defaulted to 0db adjustments. Does anyone understand what is happening? Obviously, it's an easy fix by just gaining up the nested sequence, but I can't for the life of me figure out why it's happening. For my mental sanity, if you know what's going on please let me know. 😂 ShaneM1 Max Macbook ProPP Version 25.1.0 (Build 73)

Hello! Any tips on improving edit performance? I have a very fast, expensive computer, but editing lags and stutters with yellow or red preview bars. It's just a 1280x720 edit, not a 4k or anything like that===========Dell Precision 7780Windows 11 64 bit13th Gen Intel(R) Core(TM) i9-13950HX 2.20 GHzNVIDIA RTX™ 4000 Ada 12GB GDDR664.0 GB RAM===========52 GB RAM allotted to Premiere **** UPDATE FOR FUTURE GENERATIONS ****It looks like it's due to dependent files being on OneDrive - starting a brand new project showed no issues.Localizing them (right-click, "Always Keep on This Device") should resolve the issue.
I'm currently using Preimere 25.1 but to be honest this is a perennial problem with Premiere. It doesn't happen everytime, but it happens often enough to be a nuisannce, and with larger projects can significantly slow down my workflow. I've see some people in the forums have an issue with Catalyst Prepare / Browse but I don't have those plugins installed. A bit of a separate but perhaps related issue is that Premiere will also occasionally forget where files are located. I use a NAS server as the main backup for all files and usually do the initial setup for a project from the NAS. However, when I'm editing I'll work from an identical file folder structure on a fast, local SSD. Premiere will often, as in basically every time, look for the files on the NAS upon reopenign a project, despite the files having been relinked to the SSD repeated. The weird thing is, when I relink to the SSD this doesn''t necessarily trigger peak file generation. Sometimes it does, someti
Hi @Mathias Moehl The attached script scans the active sequence for a clip with the word "Bug" in its name and replaces that clip with a similarly named clip that lives in the same bin. (Bug_16x9_UHD becomes Bug_16x9_Youtube). The script works when my sequence and clips live in the same project. BUT... in my Adobe Productions workflow, the bugs live in one project and the sequences live in a different project within the same Production. Automation Blocks seems to not be able to find the parent bin of a clip when it doesn't live in the same project as the sequence. Any ideas?
I created an MP4 file from PowerPoint. Imported it into Premiere v. 25.1. When I do the audio and video are no longer synced up. I am not sure why or how to fix it. The MP4 file is fine when I play it in Media Player. And the PowerPoint file is synced when played from PowerPoint. Thank you for any help you may be able to provide.
