Hello everyone,   I’ve encountered a frustrating issue with Adobe Premiere Pro that I’m hoping someone here can help with. While working on a recent project, the timeline suddenly froze, along with the playback preview. This happened out of nowhere, and I haven’t been able to find a specific solution online that addresses this problem. I’ve come across various discussions where users faced similar timeline freeze issues, and I’ve tried several of the suggested fixes, such as:   - Changing the audio hardware options- Clearing media caches- Resetting preferences   Unfortunately, none of these solutions have worked for me. Additionally, I’ve taken the following steps:   - Converted my footage from .mov to .mp4 (no change)- Downgraded to a previous version of Premiere Pro (issue persisted)- Upgraded to the latest version (still no improvement)- Reinstalled the entire Adobe Premier Pro package (didn’t resolve the issue)   I’m not able to identify any specific cause

I have a 30 minute sequence I attemped to export in ProRes HQ. But, unfortunately, Adobe revambed the export options wrapping everying in their new and horrible OPI. mxf format. That format cannot be uploaded to WeTransfer, Dropbox or even YouTube or anything else. They do not recognize the file type. This caused me 8 hours of trying to figure it out. I tried choosing quicktime, then prores hq. That didn't work either.  After hours of figuring it out, I was able to export in hq in 2 15 minute parts. It uploaded to Dropbox (but not WeTransfer). Adobe changing up the export file type nearly made me miss a big deadline. Please, for the love of God, Adobe, change it back. I am so frustrated by this.

How do I disable when going back and forth on timelines for it to not automatically want to drag a timeline above and pancake? It autoselects for me to do it when working on unrelated projects, and I have to end up dragging it back to where it was along the main strip of project titles. I am working on a Mac. This was added in a recent update.

Why older versions are removed?   Due to the lack of performance on my Mac, I'd reinstall the system to regain a clean operating OS. Today, after I reinstalled the Creative Cloud APP, I found out that the Premiere Pro, After Effect and Media Encoder, these APPs older versions all are removed. I'm still using my old machine which is still running Monterey OS, the Creative Cloud App keeps telling me the system needs an update to install those Apps. Why did Adobe remove them? I'm still paying you to use those Leagle applications which you urge customers to do. Is there any solution to let me get those older versions? 

When I update premiere pro, the added audio plugin directories are gone, and also the control surfaces have to be set again.t would be very convenient if this information was reused after updating.Thanks.

my preimere pro is not updating from creative cloud it is showing error. 

So I have been trying to figure this out for a while, but I just can't seem to find a solution. I am new with editing and just don't know if this is an issue with my sequence while editing or my export settings? While watching it back in premiere it doesn't stutter like it does after exporting. I have a small clip that shows the issue, just seems like my face is skipping/stuttering frames. Hello, for 3 weeks, when I try to import a video file (MOV) into Premiere Pro and then drag it onto the timeline, there is only the audio but not the video. Can you please help me? Thank you, Camille

In the latest version of Premiere (24.0.3) I came across this. The workaround is clicking on the nest, then un-nesting it, but then those clips aren't linked selected with their audio. I reverted back a version and it works again. The "insert or overwrite clips  as nests or individual clips" button is selected. 

Hi folks! I'm new to this - Premiere Pro in particular - and being new tons of time are spent on one single project, i am sure all of you empathize with that, hehe.    With that i would like to know if there is a timer which keeps track of time spent on this and that - apart of programs running on PC/MAC like task manager / activity monitor. (Hehe, and maybe a timer for how much it lags from time to another accompanied by the count of how many times it has crashed).   Anyone with a solution, is it that hard to add one if so?   Anyways, thanks in advance. When you play the audio on the timeline it sounds distorted and has a lack of bass. This happened in the last 24 update as well. Once I updated to 25 it stopped but now with 25.5 the issue is starting up again. Please advise. 

Hello! So, there have been a couple posts on how Lumetri color effects are not exporting out of Premiere Pro correctly, but none of the answers given have corrected my export quality yet so I'm hoping I can get some new answers now especially with CC 2019. Anyways, my footage is color corrected/graded very simply. I have each clip color graded with the Lumetri effect individually and I also have an adjustment layer with the Lumetri effect on a specific sequence of the footage. It seems as though none of my Lumetri effects are being exported as much footage is dull and looks similar to the raw footage. I was orginally exporting H.264 with Match Source for bit rate but now I've tried a very of settings (I've tried MPEG, etc). My max bit rate is on in sequence settings. I've also copied and pasted my Lumetri folders into Adobe Media Encoder folder but still nothing. First image is what I have in Premiere after color grading and the second photo is what shows up on Quicktime. Please help!!

Normally when I post on here it's out of frustration with a bug or an unwelcome UI change. However, I just want to take a second to give the devs some love for their update of the proxy toggle button in the source and program monitors. Now, finally, it's completely clear whether proxies are turned on or off (no more trying to remember if blue means proxy footage or master footage). This is a very welcome change. Thanks!

I can't seem to find an export setting that properly displays both photos and text animations. If the animations work, the photos lag. Please let me know if anyone has advice! Thank you. 

I have a Lenovo Legion T7 computer, Core Ultra 9, 64GB, 4TB, RTX 5080 16GB. I'm having trouble exporting videos.

I have installed the most current versions of Premiere and After Effects.  I start with having both programs open.1. Right-click a clip in the Premiere timeline.2. Choose 'replace with After Effect compostion'3. A composition populates in After Effect but there is no clip.I tried doing this by starting with After Effects not open.  Same result.  

I can't open the "Text" panel to edit my captions. I've tried Window > Text. And right clicking on the caption layer in the timeline and selecting "View in Text panel" but nothing happens. No window pops up. No new tab is opened. And I don't get a check mark by "Text" showing it's open. Any solutions to getting this window open so I can better edit captions and (the reason I realized I don't have a Text panel) so I can export just an .srt? We used to be able to do this through File>Export>Caption, but that's not there anymore. Working in Premiere version 15.0.0.Thanks.

Anyone else have issues with audio tracks in premiere? This has been an issue for me for a LONG time. It seems as if there is NO difference between:READLATCHTOUCHWRITEOFF I've been working around this for a while but it's frustrating. Current frustration? Mute a track to listen to another. Now that toggling on/off of the mute track is written into the sequence. Yes, I have it in (what would assumed be the correct mode). No matter what, it defaults back to touch. Which doesnt make sense. Toggle on and off a compressor to get it dialed in? That toggling on and off is writen into the sequence. I've tried every mode possible and they all do the same thing.

Hi,   My team and I make up to 100 videos every day. We have a selection of up to 1,000 background videos that we can use, and I wanted to ask if there is any way to have these background videos sorted randomly each time we make a new video, because right now they are always in the same order.   I've already searched for plugins and found one, but it's not available in the EU and has problems with more than 50 videos in a folder. (File Order Randomizer | Adobe Exchange).   So I wanted to know if anyone can help me or knows a solution for this? It would save us a lot of time, because we have to sort the clips manually for each video.   Thank you very much.

A friend of mine uses Davinci and we were doing some editing on my PC which uses Premier Pro 2020. He commented on the fact the timeline does not show the individual frames of a video. (see attachments) So, is there a way to show frames in Prem Pro?

I am encountering a persistent issue with importing MKV files into Adobe Premiere Pro and Media Encoder. Previously, I was able to import and edit MKV files without any problems. However, after reinstalling my operating system (Windows 11 Pro) and the latest versions of Adobe Premiere Pro and Media Encoder, I can no longer import MKV files. Whenever I attempt to import an MKV file, I receive the following error:"The file has an unsupported compression type." Here are some additional details: All my MKV files were working fine before the OS reinstallation. I have already tried updating all my drivers, including GPU drivers, and ensured my system is up to date. The issue persists across all Adobe applications, but I can import and work with the same MKV files in other software, such as DaVinci Resolve. The issue occurs regardless of the size or duration of the MKV file. I have also installed all necessary codecs and tried resetting the preferences in Premiere Pro, but nothing has resol
