I do a lot of editing of youtube shorts for client podcasts. Most of my work involves cutting dead space between dialogue. It used to be easy to blade a video segment, and then use the snap function to get the blade perfectly lined up on the audio segment below it. After an update, now there is no snap to function on the playhead or even the precut sections. There used to be a clicking vibration on the track pad to let you know its searching for the proper spot as you're gliding over it. Now the blade will not recognize any previous cuts, and you have to zoom all the way in to make sure you're RIGHT on the other bladed line to match it perfectly. It's probably doubled my worktime as a result. Is there an easy menu option that I can press to rectify this nightmare?
Hey, I just exported a couple of XMLS of 25fps timelines for grade but it did show 50fps on their end. Has this happened to anyone before? Thanks!
This has happened consistently for every auto reframe since at least version 23. I have an adjustment layer that adds in a gaussian blur 5 second keyframed in from the beginning of the sequence. If I use the auto reframe to resize it to 9x16 (choosing create nest option) it always moves the key frame start to 17 seconds instead of the original location at 0:00. It also blows away the VST preset for my Soundtoys Effect Rack so I have to rechoose it every time. I make many dozens of shorts a week using auto reframe to resize it for reels, shorts, and it is almost more work to have to remember go back and fix what auto reframe breaks every time. Tbh I really just want to reframe -- not have it follow the action as the results are never useful, so I turn off the autoreframe effect after using the function.
Hey Guys, im wondring if its normal, my GPU RX580 is not supporting my premiere 2025it's turned ON but it could not preview my timeline smoothly, what could be the problem?, or can you share a solution to that?
Since updating to Premier 25 all of my LUTS cause the clips and program monitor to grow black the more you increase the intensity on the LUT. The lower you bring the intensity down the image reappears. I've tried to troubleshoot and move LUTS into the so-called "common folder", but ran into issues even finding the LUT folder in there to begin with.It seems all the posts regarding this issue are on older versions of Premier from a couple of years back. Has anybody had this issue?
Recently update to Premiere 25.0.0 (Build 61, Mac OS 14.6.1), though I don't know if this is a brand new issue or not... CONTEXT: When pulling selects from raw footage, I usually edit while the playhead is playing back. Clipping things out, and moving those selected clips up to track 2. PROBLEM: This sort of basic "cut -> cut -> move up" during playback sometimes pauses the playhead. It doesn't always pause it, but it did consistently for a while. Then stopped doign it. Inconsistent. In any event, I don't remember this happening before. And it would seem that Premiere 25.0.0 is behaving differently than my muscle memory is used to. My understanding is that playback should continue, and that real time editing has been the norm for many years now. That said, I am not sure the extend to which that is true, or what conditions, if any, are supposed to pause the playhead, even during "real time" editing. For what it's worth it is 10 bit 5.8k 4:3 HE
I'm using the version 24.6.3there's no problem export with other formatsMay I know the solution?
I've been using proxy footage for a few years now, but in the last couple of years I've noticed no difference in speed scrubbing the sequence back and forth when toggling the proxy button. The thing that speeds things up seems to be the FX mute button Has anyone else found this?
Obrigado!
We had an issue with importing long Panasonic AVC-Intra 50 spanned files. For example, a basketball match, which lenght about 45 minutes, the camera split the recording into multiple file, not larger than 4Go (Fat32 limitation i believe).Normal behaviour is, importing clips thru the media browser, and this clip was saw as a 45 minutes clip, and imported into the bin as well. It doesn't work anymore. on the 24.6.1 on Mac, the media browser still see a 45 minutes clip, but after importing in the bin, the clip is now only 9 minutes (only one file was imported, not the all spanned clips) I uninstalled the 24.6.1, and tried several version. The last one is working properly is the 23.6.9.So there is a major issue with starting from version 24. Does anybody had same issue ?
Anamorphic footage desqueezed in the project panel (using 'Transform' effect) is showing as cropped 16:9 in the source panel, even though it shows correctly on a 2.4:1 timeline.Wierder still is that when I apply a mask to the anamorphic footage, the mask adhears to the squeezed portion of the image only - ie the 2.4:1 image is only masked where the 16:9 squeeze was and the desqueezed bits stick out!!! I have no idea what is going on, as it defies basic logic. Can anyone help???
In Premiere 2022 and 2023, whenever I would upload my SD card with the footage that I shot, premiere would not include the sub folders each video is in. I absolutley loved having that since I work in broadcast, I need to see all my clips in one and not filter through each subfolder. Unfortunatley in Premiere 2024, now whenever I upload my CLIP folder from my SD card to Premiere, all the subfolders come up with it. Is there anyway I can adjust my settings to where the subfolders don't occur?? Thanks in advance.
I kept checking 'don't show again' but it still seems to be lingering in the program. I've tried all the solutions, but I can't get rid of those damn things. ADOBE, stop this crap. I can't focus on my work. PS Yeah, I don't want to update the 2025 version because it's crap. I'll just keep using the 2024 version.
I'm synchronizing a long movie with premiere pro 2024. And Premiere always crashes when I make a manipulation: when I've finished the multicam sync, from my sequence bin I drag several clips at the same time into a timeline and Premiere crashes instantly. So I have to drag clip by clip to prevent it from crashing, but I lose time and I'm afraid it'll crash during editing with large timelines.I've tried several versions available on the creative cloud. I've reset my settings, I've emptied the media cache several times, I've created new projects with lighter proxies. My sequence settings match those of my clips. I've tried dragging only the image clips and Premiere doesn't crash, same for sounds only, I have the impression that the problem lies with the Multicam clips. Here's the information from my computer and workflow:Mac studio 2023Apple M2 Max / 32 Go / Macintosh HD /GY9FV7RMG9/ Sonoma 14.4.1 (23E224)Proxies : DNX185X 10 bits Quicktime 1920x1080 25fps. I've tried a lighter codec (Pro
When editing from a sequence in the source monitor, I cannot hear or see all the audio tracks in the mixer... only a stereo mix of that sequence. This is especially frustrating as I would typically have a stringout of all takes from that angle in this sequence and I want to be able to isolate each audio channel/track and pick the clearest one to insert/overwrite into my program's timeline. However, if the sequence is in the program monitor instead of the source... I can see and hear ALL channels/tracks. This feels like a bug? Using macOSX Sonoma 14.5 and Premiere Pro 25.0.0 (build 61)- J
I've been using premiere for some time now, so excuse me if I sound like I'm new here. I've been having this issue on a project that has a bunch of old footage on it ( before it was shot on a t4i back in 2015) {the files are .mov) and I've been struggling with this edit off and on for over a month because of this issue. So because the footage is so old, I've been trying to denoise it using neat video and I've used neat video on some newer blackmagic and A7s footage and it worked great on those. However, as I'm trying to remaster some of this older footage to maybe bring some new life into it, I'm finding that when I try to denoise it, I'm getting these blotchy splotchy, artifacts and pixelation as seen in the pictures included. These splotches are seen in the preview files as well as the export afterwards, I'll include as much information as I can as well as what I've tried. .MOV to start with it has been exported to (prores 422, h.264, h.265 , as well as converted to MP4 in handbrake)
Luego de la actualizacion 24.6.1 al abrir el software indica problema de daño en el mismo, solicita enviar al basurero, se realizaron varios intentos de deshintalar el programa y luego volver a instalar y el problema perciste.
Audio automation problem: Dragging a volume fader in the Clip Mixer, in Latch mode, will change the volume before the fade to the final state. There is no possibility to really undo this (undo undoes only the keyframes) except through the Remove Attributes menu. This happens in both Editing and Audio workspaces. Touch mode: same behavior - so doesn't return to previous state after the automation as it should.
Grata
Suppose I have a 2-minute long media file and an empty timeline for the currently active sequence. Now, suppose I want to write a Premiere Pro script that will put that media file at the beginning of the timeline, but it should start playing 45 seconds into the clip and end exactly 10 seconds later (at 55 seconds into the clip). It would be the equivalent of this:(In this image, we see that the footage is 2 minutes long, the first 45 seconds of the footage are trimmed off, and it only plays for 10 seconds).I would like to achieve this through scripting, but I'm not sure. I tried something of this order, but it did nothing more than simply put all 2 minutes of the clip into the sequence timeline:var file1 = "C:\\Path\\test.mxf"var backsBin = app.project.rootItem.createBin("Backs")app.project.importFiles([file1], false, backsBin);var thisTrack = app.project.activeSequence.videoTracks[0];var projItem = backsBin.children[0];thisTrack.insertClip(projItem, 0); // second arg
I also have a LOT of new problems with this update. My video is glitchy and sometimes wont even playback, the audio drops out, and when i try to play out on my timeline i usually only get audio or video but it struggles to do both at the same time, and its been locking up my computer WAY more than usual. This update has slowed me down so much, is there going to be a fix? running on: AMD Ryzen 9 3900x 12 core 16GB DDR4 Dual Geforce RTX 2080TI 11 GB 512GB SSD M.2 PCIe Drive Branched from old thread by mod
latest premiere version. this keeps happening after opening a project from my mac studio on my mac book pro which is M1 as well. other projects works. premiere stalls when generating peak files and then i have to fiorce quit it or the machine creashes
I use a logitech MX master 3, like I'm sure a lot of people do here - I set the side buttons to zoom in/out of my timeline and the side scroll to scrub the timeline through the app specfic control on logi options. These used to work flawlessly in previous versions of premiere but seems to be laggy in this current version. Will sometimes freeze up, or be delayed.
I have a clip where someone accidentally adds an 's' in the middle of a word. The person wants to say 'subtract' but says 'susbstract'. I would like to see if it is possible to remove that 's'. But finding the 's' sound is my first hurdle. The timeline goes by to quickly. So, my first step is to try to select and play a very short segment. I was thinking about selecting a small part, then narrow it down until I have the 's' sound.I am not very experienced, so probably this is very simple (add markers — which I never use — and do some intelligent something something). But selecting a part of the clip is something I already stumble on, and remove single frames with trial and error doesn't seem the optimal route. Is there a good/simple way to attempt this?
