How can I remove this person in Premiere 

When I'm in the link media dialogue and click on a specific external hard drive and then click "search" it doesnt search that specific external hard drive, it starts searching my entire Macintosh HD. I dont remember this being the case in the past. can this be fixed?

I've seen a lot of articles discussing the best video, sequence & export settings to get that crystal clear resolution on Instagram, but none of them are consistent with each other lol. If I'm shooting video on an iPhone 13 or newer, is 4k at 30fps best? 4k at 60fps? or 1080 at 30fps? Should I be shooting HDR? It gives that weird bright look that also dims the screen which I don't like at all. What about the format? Most compatible? And then in terms of the sequence settings in premiere....I'm assuming 1080x1920? Do the sequence settings have to match the settings of the video I recorded? Or can they be slightly different? In terms of the export I get totally lost, I need to learn more about bit-rate anyway, but for codec I've heard adaptive medium bitrate at H.264 is best, but I'm not sure. What about CBR/VBR? Are the aspect ratios for stories and posts different? Do I need to shoot with a specific camera to get that better-than-eyesight look? What about using slow motio

Sorry this is kinda long, I just have a lot of specifics that complicates things for me.Here’s my situation.My camera records .MOV files using H.264. Because my editing style involves a lot of animation, color work, and round-tripping between Premiere Pro and After Effects, I’ve been transcoding all my footage in Mezzanine files before editing.Right now my workflow looks like this:Record footage on camera (H.264 .MOV). Before importing into Premiere, I transcode everything in Adobe Media Encoder into mezzanine ProRes 422 files. >Important: I edit using those ProRes files and export clips to After Effects when needed and then back into premier as linked AE files. I have big project with some dupes in it. So when I try to use "Edit > Consolidate Duplicates" it does nothing. So I ended up cleaning all project to three clips that are linked to exact same raw footage, no proxies attached and I nothing else in project panel, just those three clips:Still "Consolidate Duplicates" does nothing. Maybe I should look for some other places where Premiere thinks that those are different clips? Any ideas?

Why does part of the audio track in a squence lose it’s quality within a sequence after I open it again in Adobe Premiere Pro? How do I resolve this issue? 

The original drive was named LaCie, as was the replacement drive (the system now sees the new drive as LaCIe 1). The new drive is APFS-formatted with a GUID Partition Map. It seems that I can save to a different folder, but I have no option for scratch disks other than the system drive, on which I’m storage space-challenged. Is there a way for me to update the existing app installations for permissions to reference the new drive?

Hi, I'm considering buying a MacBook Pro M4 Pro 14" (12-core CPU / 20-core GPU / 24GB) for video editing and I've been reading reports from early 2025 about Premiere Pro not fully utilizing Apple Silicon on M4 — low GPU usage (30-40%), stuttered playback with Lumetri + effects, and long export times compared to DaVinci Resolve or Final Cut.My typical workflow:H.264 / HEVC footage (standard camera, no RAW) 4K timelines, occasional multicam Effects: Lumetri Color, Noise reduction, transitions No mixed frame ratesHas this been addressed in recent Premiere updates (25.3+)? Good afternoon,I have an .srt file (language not supported by Adobe's transcribe service) with roughly 10 sec time stamps.Some of them create 3-4 lines of text. I've limited the display to two lines with Essential Graphics settings, but some content is not shown.I've tried splitting them in the captions window, but the tile doubles.Based on other discussions, there is an issue with caption splitting. Essential Graphics Properties Panel Empty/Missing (all Templates with Audio)I am experiencing a critical issue with Essential Graphics templates created in After Effects and used in Premiere Pro. ***EDIT 2 - SOLVED*** Well, as always seems to happen, after hours of trying to solve issues, after giving up and posting on whichever forum is applicable, the next effort worked. I noted that in addition to ‘Premiere Pro’ in my updates available list, there was ‘Premiere’. I just started a new project, imported some video and while I can play it, I cannot do anything else.  All the menu options are grayed out.  This includes when I right click the video and attempt to change the playback speed.  Any ideas? 

Playhead stops when I select a clip on the timeline and can't move unless I untoggle the audio and video tracks. It was working fine yesterday. Please, I need help ASAP. Hi there, I cant see my recent edit anywhere, I had done an upgrade but when I type in the edit names I get nothing on my entire computer. Any advice where I can look ?

Although I’ve been using Adobe Premiere for years, I believe this is my first time creating an account on the community forum.I’m reaching out regarding a terrible issue that Adobe hasn’t resolved, and it’s driving me insane day after day.It has become almost impossible to edit files from my Sony A7III camera (4K 4:2:2 10-bit) unless I create proxies.Alright, I’ve accepted the fact that for every bigger project I’ll need to generate proxies in order to edit smoothly.However, “CREATING PROXY JOBS” takes at least 10× longer than actually creating the proxies themselves.And this is driving me CRAZY!This was NOT a problem before!Some people on the forums say that Media Encoder scans all files in the folder and that it depends on the number of files — but I call that nonsense.I tested this with a folder containing only 10 short clips and the result is exactly the same.IS ADOBE PLANNING TO FIX THIS OR SHOULD I CANCEL MY SUBSCRIPTION???

While I’m editing on Premiere Pro, I noticed that the video plays whenever I change something in my Lumetri Color window, but only if I change those settings on the source clip. I have to stop the video every time I want to adjust the exposure, saturation, etc. The video won’t play if I use Lumetri Color when the video is in a sequence/on the timeline.Same thing happens when adjusting the In/Out markers on the source window timeline.I could easily clip the footage and edit in the timeline instead, but editing the source clip makes it so I don’t need to reapply color correction to a clip from the same video every time.Any suggestions?For reference: Editing in source tab = plays video when adjusting any value. Editing in Sequence tab = doesn’t play video.

Playback and scrubbing extremely buggy after update. Renderer locked to Mercury Playback Engine OpenCL and cannot be changed. Happens even in simple 1080p sequence. Cache cleared and hardware decoding disabled.

Facing this issue in different projects therefore can't achieve a good result. I edit video in Premiere Pro CC2022 and when the project is done (mainly talking head)I create a new sequence where put already finished sequence and speed up video and audio about102-106%Of course, audio sounds unnatural and I apply pitch shifter. I've tried "Maintain Audio Pitch" it works even worse. For some reason, pitch shifter randomly distorts audio during playback, and if I play this part one more time I hear no distortion, but it reveals in a different part of the audio. This option works much better in Final Cut Pro. Hope to have it in PP. Maybe you have some recommendations on how to fix it? P.S. I can make 2 renders and this distortion can be in two clips but different places.

In the newest update of premiere (26.0.1) there is no ellipse tool in the effects panel when trying to blur a clip? Where is it ??? 

So i just downloaded the 2021 version and just like in the 2020 version the plural eyes not showing up. I already uninstalled the program and my pc. Any help out there?

Presets are not showing up and I cannot create new presets. I have tried. Reinstalling, delete cache, move ES folder to desktop, copy paste older version into 26.0.1, opened a new project to test. Any thoughts? Thanks in advance. DT
