Issue – When attaching proxy video files from a mapped network drive, the video thumbnail in the project panel turns dark green and is almost completely illegible.Steps to reproduce – 1. Store the original video file and the proxy video version on a mapped network drive, with the correct naming scheme and folder structure. 2. Import the original video file into Premiere Pro. 3. Attempt to ‘attach proxies’ and watch as the thumbnail turns dark green. This happens with all video files and is disastrous when trying to work with multiple video clips, as in my line of work.Expected result – For the thumbnail to remain unchanged after attaching proxies.Actual result – The thumbnails in the project panel all go dark green immediately.Screen recording – AttachedAdobe Premiere Pro version – 25.5.0 (Build 13)Operating system – Windows 11, 24H2, OS Build 26100.4652GPU driver version (Windows only) – Nvidia 581.29 (September 10, 2025)Video format – H.264 MP4Comparative information helps us underst
I export from After Effect a file with an alpha channel (Proges 4444, PNG, and others), after importing into Premier, i see stripes instead of a smooth transition. (((How it looks in After EffectHow it looks in PremiereThe edges of the alpha channel do not blur smoothly, I could fix this only by turning on layer blending "Ligten"I tried to count 8 and 10 bits, with different color depths, straight(Unmatted) and Premultiplied(Matted), nothing helps, in previous versions there was no such problem I use MacOs, Premiere 14.5.0(Build 51), After Effect 17.5.1(Build 47)I attach the files that I am trying to connect
I'm creating an animated book cover. I designed the static elements in Photoshop and brought them over to Premiere Pro. In Premiere Pro any outer glow becomes very harsh. This is happening with any glow I try to add within Premiere Pro as well. Is there any way to keep the softness as it appears in Photoshop?
(full quality screenshot here) My semi-transparent png is not rendering correctly in Premiere. This screenshot is from an exported H.264 video at "maximum render quality." I overlaid the original png for comparison. The png does not seem to be the problem- it looks fine in photoshop, windows viewer, even flippin google chrome. The original footage is as follows:Type: MPEG MovieFile Size: 2.22 GBImage Size: 3840 x 2160Frame Rate: 29.72Source Audio Format: 48000 Hz - Compressed - StereoProject Audio Format: 48000 Hz - 32 bit floating point - StereoTotal Duration: 00;06;35;27Pixel Aspect Ratio: 1.0Alpha: NoneVideo Codec Type: MP4/MOV H.264 4:2:0 (Full Range)Variable Frame Rate DetectedAny ideas on what to try are greatly appreciated. I may have to give up and do it without the glow, but I'd really rather not re-do a hundred png's that I've already made.Is there an effect I should use in Premiere to add the glow instead?thanks!
HiI work in 16:9 för video but when I export stills/frame it become a squared photo.I tried to change som settings in "sequenze settings" but hasnåt been able to change this. I also wonder why, at the top (see scree, the ratio says 1920/1920 and 16:9 I also want to work in 25 fps (as I live in Europe) but cant change from 30. Any ideas why? Thanks in advance
This happened about a month ago, before all of this, my playback was not dropping frames but all of a sudden, it does now. I been looking for solutions, tried them but they don't work. I record in 4k 60fps on MKV. I have an RTX 4070 super, an Ryzen 7-7800X3D and 32GB of RAM.
Hello, Running into an issue with the timecode sync feature in Premiere 25.3. The timecodes of my audio and video both match up (attaching pictures), however when I go to Timecode Sync, the timecode in the panel is wildly off, and the sync throws the entire audio clip down the timeline. In the pictures I'm dropping I've manually synced and double checked that both timecodes are synced to eachother and correct, framerate isn't the issue either. Any way to fix this issue? Thanks in advance.
Well, I am really hating on PP this week, as I find bug after bottleneck after limitation... but this is one I can clearly ask about. I'm using Multi-camera sequences all over my project, and the thing jams and lags constantly in my edit sequence. I have narrowed it down to the audio render being an issue, because it finally works sort of smoothly if I turn off all the Essential Audio auto sound repair that I did in my multi-camera source sequence. However it's a terrible work-killer because: 1 - in the multi-camera sequence, everything plays just fine, with audio repaired by Essential Sound - reduce reverb, clarity, etc.2 - when I put that MC sequence into a new sequence to edit, PP chokes, freezes, hiccups and lags. Totally unusable editing.3 - ok - so I will render the audio in my sequence and that will help - until I do any edit at all, and then the rendered audio seems to be discardedand we're back to lag and freezes.4 - Hmmm - maybe I will render
I am suffering through yet another gratuitous UI change that turns what was for decades a simple task and turned it into a convolute MESS. I just want to create a simple scrolling text graphic at the end of a video. I have gotten to point where I can do most of the actions in the properties panel but I can't get a smooth scroll from the keyframes--it just jumps when I set a keyframe for the entering postion and then another for exiting frame position. There is no "scrolling" checkbox like there was in the past--it is not on my properties panel. There is something called velocity it but doesn't make any movement happen. Can somebody reply with the simple (4-5 step) checklist of how to create a simple scrolled text title like I have been doing for decades in previous versions. Most of the instructional videos are useless since there have been so many radical changes in how to create simple text in the last few years. &n
It seems like we didn't support create multicam clip with ExtendScript, I'm using CEP ZXP. I also look through UXP but I coudln't find how to create multicam clip.
I had the misfortune of having to work with a video that had terrible echo in one of the two mics due to a PA system malfunction (they were mixed so no way to separate the tracks). I am running PP 25.5 on a brand new fast Windows computer with NVIDIA. 1) When I first get into PP it takes literally minutes before I am able to scrub on the timeline. I am assuming this is the AI model chewing up my machine in the background but there is no indication why I am seeing these delays. It mostly behaves normally after that but I occasionally get into a pause where the playback controls are just frozen. 2) I can't figure out how to do a "reset" on the AI enhancement so that I can try a new mix of settings. There are LOTS of sliders so it is hard to come-up with the right mix, particularly when some of them require major rerendering. It's easy with the filter tools (just check the bypass box), but the AI tool seems to place a number of con
Hi All-- I'm importing 4K Sony A7SIII footage into Premiere 22.2 (and previous 22 versions). I'm able to import the 4K files, but then when I attach proxies I've made in Media Encoder (as I've done for a year now in Premiere/Encoder 2021), the proxies only attach one by one. I have to go file by file to attach proxies, which is just not an option with the number of files I'm working with. Does anyone else have a similar issue and/or a workaround for attaching proxies quickly to 4K files?
I've suddenly found that attempting to open a specific collection of project files consistently crashes Premiere and I cannot figure out how to fix it! These files (all iterative manual saves of the same project) were originally authored between July and December 2023 using Premiere Pro 2022 on an Apple M1. I have attempted opening them using both Pr2022 and Pr2024, but I get the same crash with both. Things already attempted without success:creating a new project and importing the old sequences (this either fails or crashes Premiere)opening auto-saves of the project (same result)resetting all preferences and plugin cache, deleting media cache, disabling 3rd-party plugins, etc (has no noticeable effect) Curiously, all of these files functioned perfectly well as recently as March 2024. Even more curiously, I can get some of the earliest iterative saves of this project to open successfully, which suggests to me that the culprit must be some effect/plugin/workspace I used i
I am hoping someone will help! I keep Googling my problem and NOTHING is coming up! My pen tool in Premiere Pro suddenly started acting funny. First, when I make a jointed line with the pen tool, it keeps pointing the edges inward almost like it's TRYING to make a shape/triangle. I attached a photo. Plus, the reason why I say it's trying to make a shape is because it literally has connected a few times on its own and made a shape when all I want is like a jointed line. Second, I've been playing around with my settings for hours trying to fix this... that sometimes the pen tool will suddenly start acting funny. When I click, it just keeps making multiple shape layers, yet, I cannot see anything or make an actual like. I think it's just making anchor points but I can't seem to fix it unless I close Premiere Pro and start over without saving. I don't know what I did but I am guessing I turned a setting on by accident and can't seem to
I have a still image I am animating and even though I have changed Scale between the 1st 2 sets of keyframes, the image is not animating there. The 1st screenshot shows the video at its start, with a Scale of 9. Screenshot 2 shows the video at the next set of keyframes, and there is no change, despite the Scale having been set to 12. I noticed that the Position keyframe is blue here, the only keyframe that is not white in the video. I also noticed that the frame around the image in the Program Monitor with the handles has changed even though the image hasn't. I assume both these things may provide clues as to what's happening here. Screenshot 3 shows the Timeline just after the 2nd set of keyframes, with the image finally "moving." Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.
Hi. If you were wondering if there was a way to preview the Film Impact effects and transitions, I have some news for you. Yes, there is! Choose Window > Extensions > Film Impact Dashboard. Great! Right? See also: Please let me know if you have further questions. Thanks,Kevin
On a 30 minutes timeline dozens of clips with minor wrap stabilizer effect. The project file size is about 200 MB.According to ChatGPT It turns out that all the stabilizer information is saved in the project file.I'm afraid the software will crash due to the size of the file.-Is there anything I can do? Should I worry?
I've installed twice, fails all encodes and seems to corrupt video drivers at times crashing browsers. Reminded me of hardware fails. Encoding would go the way to the end and fail near stitching. 2025.3 runs without issue from system restore.2025.4 fails all h264 encodes Since Premiere, AE and AME all updated at the same time, I'm not sure which one, but it must share whatever the issue is as both AME and Premiere Pro Direct encodes fail. Windows64, 14900k, 3080ti, SSD M2 gen5, 96gb RAM. Latest video driver updates.
I found the option for making the main timeline autoscroll with playback and follow the playhead cursor. It's under Preferences > General > Timeline Playback Auto-Scrolling > Page Scroll OR Smooth Scroll. But I would like for it to also auto-scroll in the "Effect Controls" timeline (the place where you add and manipulate keyframes). Is there a way to do this?
Latest premiere (25.3). Struggeling very hard with avchd files (*.MTS) . Can barely scrubb threw them. Previous premiere version (25.2) Works with them just fine. Tried to convert them to mp4 files, and still nothing. Tried clearing The cache. Thanks
When I opened Premiere Pro for the very first time, a tutorial started, created a project, put footage in the timeline and gave instructions that were either incorrect or confusing. I didn't know what to do with any of it. I was totally overwhelmed. Not a good beginning in my journey to learn Premiere Pro. I came to the Adobe site wanting some written instructions or video on how to use the tutorial. I'm aware of the irony. Sigh...
My RTX 5080 doesn't want to work with PremierPro 25.3 and decode 4.2.2 H265, the process as before goes to the integrated graphics in 13900KHow can I make Premier use the video card? Why don't you have step-by-step instructions for installation?Davinci is now using the video card, but Premier doesn't eitherSo it was in vain that I updated from 4080 to 5080? 😢😢😢I'm not interested in rendering and effects, but in the maximum speed of the workflow to cut the playback acceleration without Intel's QuickSync
I use a 3 monitor setup, and the right screen as playback monitor. Suddenly, the full screen playback does not show on the assigned screen, but plays on the main (middle) screen in a strange overlaying postition of the program monitor (see image attached)I have tried deactivating playback, activating, reboot, Nvidia Driver update...This issue is new, and shows in all new projects. Old projects work normally funny enough. Anybody can help with this issue? Thanks!
I have Luts I created in Davinci and exported as 65 point 3d luts and then imported into premier that i currently use and it was wokring fine up until today.
