Questions

I was wondering if anyone had any suggestions besides ensuring the correct GPU is selected in the Windows and Nvidia environment.  I have tried the latest studio and gaming drivers with a clean install each time.  I assume its still defaulting to the integrated card, but unsure where else I might alter the settings.  Log file included.

Hello.I started using Stager more and more, mainly as help on still-image retouching, or for creating visuals etc. Learning curve is pretty simple, especially when coming from Dimension. The price is still too high, and I think this should be part of the normal CC offer, as it is an essential tool for retouchers. Anyway – Setting up a visual of a simple little juice bottle, I was mostly happy with the results, especially with the upper part of the bottle. Even a friend working with C4D was impressed with the render.The only real problem is the reflection.It seems that gets generated befor the glass / refraction / shadows on the main object, and therefore looks completely wrong. The reflection should be generated after taking the main object into consideration.Is there anything I am missing? thank you, Stefan.

So, I guess I'm ne to working in 3D space but can someone pont me in the direction oh an explanation of how size and scale work and obect relate to each other. I have object that are on a diffenernt scale for each access but are still all the 30 x 30 x 30 cubes. Like, can i just turn scale off and work from size? Ive never felt stupider... I cannot figure this out.

I'm reviewing designs with glass elements by exporting them from Stager to usdz format and viewing in AR with an iPad. However the glass elements appear solid, not transparent. Is there a material that would export to usdz with transparency?

Hello, I would like to create an image like that:So I would like to create an image of a sphere with potato material. The lighting and the material should in principle look exactly like the example image, but I would like to have several variations of it, for which it would be enough to rotate the sphere. To achieve that, I installed Adobe Substance 3D Stager and downloaded this potato material.I have simply tried it like that: Unfortunately, the result looks like this: Can anyone help me make it look like the example? I would be super thankful!

Dear Community, I designed a 3d shoe model in painter but I am  unable to export it to the stager. The only option that I can see is the export to photoshop. Also, the only file format I can save the file is .spp which I don't know how to import in the stager. Please help asap i don't wanna lose my project 

I use save as snapshot rather than final renders. The save as PNG is convenient but a screen size file get large, easily 10 mb. So sharing a handful of renders with a client get huge and is beyond emails. In addition I use these snapshots to keep track of how projects evolve. I just checked one of my several jpeg folders, it has 3000 Keyshot jpeg snapshots. Stager would inflate this folder to 30 gb (1.4 gb currently). Is there an option to make a jpeg snapshot? Could we have that for the future?

Every single fbx mesh I try to import to Stager gives me "Unable to Import Model" error. I tried changing up smoothing and applied different export settings, however got no luck. Weirdly enough it did bring one the meshes I tried some time ago. What could be the reason. Literally can't use stager.  

how to delete an imported image as background in Adobe Stager

I have been a user of 3ds Max / Corona / Vray for many years and I would love to transition my workflow away from those products to Stager exclusivly. One of the biggest features keeping me from making the switch is the lack of perspective control in the camera settings. When using Vray & Corona cameras, the user has the abiltity to control the film plane angle and shift independent of the camera lens (just like a real 4x5 camera).  Being able to do this is crucial for product visualization. Please consider implementing this feature at your earliest convenience and then I am all in! Thanks for your time, Jason

As opposed to Photoshop the layer visibility toggle is intensely confusing to me. The eye icon here marks that the layer is INvisible and the absense of the symbol marks that the layer is visible. I have to slow down and think hard when I toggle the layers on and off, what's the point?

Hi there!I'm self-taught with Stager and am flailing (and failing) to properly edit my model's glass material properties, to match whiat its rendered PDF looks like when exported as a GLB for web page viewing. Just everything about my final GLB is a bit "off" and I cannot seem to edit the properties to look as good as the PDF render. (I understand that the lighting reflections will be from different angles, as glTF Viewer doesn't have the exact same light positionings in its online demo environment.) If you're someone that knows Stager well, and can help me to accomplish this... can you send me a message? I'm happy to pay you for your time. I've looked for experts on Reddit, Upwork, Fiverr, etc. and nobody really seems to be proficient in Stager (as opposed to Blender, Maya, etc.) and I have struck out finding help on those websites and others.Thank you!

How do I fix these breaks in my label on this 3D model. Designed the model in autodesk fusion 360. Tried fixing the UV mapping in blender but it still has these lines.  

Is it possible to apply a material to a single face, rather than a whole body? In fusion, I'm able to apply a material to an individual face, resulting in this wonderful Party Rex you see here. Several of the materials (headlights, metal accents, windshield, teeth) are applied to a face over the green powder coat. Is that possible in Stager? The higher quality image is rendered in Fusion. The "more green" version (Screen shot) is in the viewport window in Stager. Unable to add materials to faces. (though somehow, Before applying the green powdercoat, The materials were still applied to the faces.....

Hi there, Can you queue multuple renders in Substance Stager?

I'm wondering if it's possible to furnish a 360° panorama of a living space using Substance 3D Stager. Similar to adding 3D models to a conventional 2D background image of a room, I'd like to work directly in a 360° panorama. I've already looked everywhere, but haven't found any information on this topic yet. I would be very grateful if someone could help me out. Thank you in advance for your assistance!

I like to have the preview raytracer working while I check my emails or do other stuff, however Stager stops rendering the preview if not in front. If it's by design I would like to have a preference setting that allow the app to use the processor when in the background.

Hello Team Adobe.  In Substance Painter it us possible to store an HDRI library into my / "your assets".  why isn't this possible in substance stager? Or haven't I found a way to import or to share the common assets, yet? Thanks for helping out.For stager when working in a composition it would be  very helpful to have all HDRI's and thumbnails in one place to choose from. Warm regards, Markus

Switching between realtime render and raytracer change the lighting a great deal. Using the realtime render I basically have to double the light intensity compared to raytracing. For obvious reasons this is not workable if you switch render modes during scene setup. It it a bug?

Please could you please stop ffxxxx making the 3D stager downloading everything ffxx time in my computer, I don't need it and I certainly will nevery ever use this thing so STOOOPPPP  Thanks 

I made a template file with a hdr lightsource and a few extra lights. No models except a ground plane imported from assets. No materials except a basic white material for the ground plane. With the app already fired up this file, 2,8 mb, takes 30 seconds to open. It will load to 100% and stay there for a while, then the progress bar disappear and it takes a loooong time before the empty scene appear. Likewise during saves, even empty scenes take a long time to save. I'm on a 2019 macbook Pro, plenty of free hd space and 32 mb ram, nothing else open. During open I checked with the activity monitor, it seems something called Substance Stager Helper is doing a lot of work in the background and could be the cause of this delay. So I'm wondering what kind of processes are going on. In any case it's unacceptable for professional work.

I'm trying to save a material I modified in Stager but can't seem to find a way to export it or add it to my library. I assume it's possible but how?

Excuse me for posting a bunch of questions, I seem to be unable to find answers elsewhere. Coming from keyshot I'm used to build a library of materials inside the application. In Stager it seems I can only have the starter assets and create my own library that lives in the cloud. I can't drag materials from the Project Materials to my library and the "+" at the bottom of the library list is inactive so can't add anything that way. The only thing that works is downloading materials to my computer and dragging them to my library. However, as I have written in another post, they show up with generic icons and no preview. Maybe I don't get the concept?
