I am starting a new project in RH2019 (after several years away from RH) and am curious if there is a way to change the default indent on the paragraph indent?When I click "increase indent" from the General properties panel, it inserts the following in-line style: style="margin-left: 40px"Is there a way to define the default margin to be less/more than 40px?I am asking because, I created my CSS and wanted bulleted/numbered lists to be left aligned with the paragraph text. To create lists that have an indented paragraph in them, instead of creating separate styles for indent levels within multi-level lists, I want to make it easier, and use the built-in indent button. However, to do that, I need to define the in-line indent the indent button creates. Hi,I am generating the output of a project in "Azure" based Responsive HTML5 Output. I will host it using FTP on a public URL. Suppose it will be documents.domain.com/index.htmlBy default, the Web browser is showing the complete URL of the topics in the address bar. For example, following URL is being displayed for "Topic1.htm".documents.domain.com/index.html#t=Topic1.htmFor some reasons, I want to hide the complete URL and show only index.html or the parent domain name for all topics that is: documents.domain.com/index.html or documents.domain.com/For my project, it is essential to use a Responsive HTML5 based Output and Azure is the most suitable theme for our project.Please help me to fix this issue.

I'm generating a Responsive HTML5 Help project. I've got several keywords in my index that don't appear in the compiled Help's index. Hi all, I am hoping this is just a setting I accidentally checked or a new "feature" but suddenly today when I generated a new responsive HTML5 output in RH2019, it generated fine but any topic I click on in the TOC opens in a new browser window instead of the main help window as it did previously. I have checked all over for something that would account for this, but cannot find something similar to "open help topic in new window" checkbox. I have checked:Project SettingsPreferencesCSSMaster PagesResponsive HTML5 SettingsIt does this in Chrome, Firefox, and Edge.Anyone know what I need to do to change this back to opening in the same help window? Hi all,We are trying to find a way to integrate xsl-fo support in robohelp classic 2019. Is there a procedure to follow thus we can support xslfo in robohelp for publishing and html production. What we are thinking from our part is an xml import -> (transform) -> xsl-fo ready -> generate different sources(pdf,html, etc.)Kind Regards,Sergiu

I have web-based help (HTML5 responsive with RH 2017) and one of the TOC links points to a non-RH system, like this:Is there a way to open that link inside of a new browser tab using a TOC RH property or attribute? Or do I have to do an actual .htm with a javascript redirect?I tried adding a target="_blank" attribute, but that only works on .htm pages, not inside xml like the .hhc is.

From what I can tell, Robohelp (in any version) does not have inbuilt code formatting.I'll be using the Robohelp 2019 version and am looking for help on how to integrate some syntax highlighter and some code formatting. Any help?

Hello, all, I'm hoping those of you with some experience using RoboHelp 2019 can answer a quick question for me. Does RoboHelp 2019 support Context Sensitive Help (CSH)? I cannot find anything close to the Output Setup pod that was used in previous versions of the application, or really anything alluding to CSH in the 2019 version. CSH is is vital to my RoboHelp purposes. If anyone can provide some insight on this issue, I'd appreciate it. Thanks!

When we publish a merged project to our RoboServer, we're noticing that entries from child projects added to the merged TOC in the Parent project are not showing in the TOC. And we've tested this using Internet Explorer and Chrome with the same results. Note, even though the entries for the child projects aren't displaying in the Parent merged TOC, the files from the child projects (i.e., HTM and image files) are being published to the server.Also, if I open the the published help through Windows Explorer on the server, the TOC displays correctly. i.e., the child projects display correctly in the merged TOC.We are using RH 2019 Classic with the latest patches and publishing to RoboServer 10 with Update 1.Any ideas on why this might happen.

I’m using TCS 2015, trying to compile a CHM in RH.  Don’t know if it has anything to do with it, but the source FM file is in Russian. (Spanish worked OK so it would seem it’s not a Unicode issue, but maybe something about the Cyrillic characters?All FM files in the book open without error. I’ve saved them and closed the FMs, leaving the book open in FM.Twice now, I’ve gotten an error message during the CHM compile that something has happened and there’s info. in C:\.err.  When I say OK, RH shuts down.The .err file says:“Friday, December 14, 2018 10:55:46HHA Version 4.74.8702htmlproc.cpp(114) : Assertionfailure: (pszTmp == m_pCompiler->m_pHtmlMem->psz)”Any ideas?

Hi, Fairly new to Robohelp.  Currently pulling my hair out trying to get it to output to PDF.  Have outputted extremely similar projects to PDF.  But his one does not want to play ball.  It will output as Win help file, web help, responsive HTML5.  No Index or glossary and most of the settings set to default.  Seems to be very temperamental. Hi,I have my source in RH 2017 and I am using few images. They show up correctly referenced in the source file. I am observing a strange issue. When I generate the output the images go missing from my output. I then reinsert them and try retaking the output. They are showing up correctly.If I open the last saved source again tomorrow and generate a doc output then the images disappear again. The image location in the project folder or the image themselves haven't changed. Why would this happen? Any pointers to resolve it?

Hi, I wanted to know if the license of RH 2019 can be activated, as in previous versions, on 2 different PC (desktop and notebook) or if it is still a floating license...another doubt...I already own an RH license 2015 can I request an upgrade for this? in which way?thxThomas

Hi All,Earlier with webhelp output in rh2017 there was an issue with the toc not expanding and collapsing. The fix was updating this string:sText = sText.replace("\n", "");tosText = sText.replace(/\n/g, "");in the whthost.js file.I tried that but the issue still persists. Chrome latest version now is 70.Is there any other fix to be done to get the toc expand and collapse in a webhelp output?

When I am trying to open some of my books in Google Chrome some topics are not opening, how to I resolve this?

I am working with RoboHelp 2015 and compiling HTML (chm) output. Recently, we noticed that figures do not display any longer correctly in the output (seen with Windows 10, Version 1709. All figures display like this:You have to refresh in order to display them correctly. When opening another help page, same procedure: figures are not displayed correctly - refresh - then it will be ok.Do you have an idea how to get around this?Regards,Kerstin

Hello!!I've scanned what exist in the RH forums re: Code Syntax Highlighters, but everything is kinda OLD. Wondering if anyone knows of any successful ways that I can use Code Syntax Highlighting in my topics. I have quite a few code samples (from a few lines long to 40-50 lines long) and it would be great to have a way to do the following:Display the code w/ preserved correct color coding.Have proper left/right scrolling for extra long lines in the code.Show/hide line numbering from the code example (sometimes, I need it to reference and sometimes, I don't)Highlight certain lines of code that I am referencing in the text to call out attention.Allow users to copy the code to the Clipboard to paste it into whatever API/app they are using for testing.I explored the more recent Syntax Highlighting solution offered by Alex Gorbatchev on GitHub, but I cannot find step-by-step instructions that tell me exactly what to do, which files I need, where to store them, how to use them w/ RoboHelp.I

Hi I have built a RH Responsive HTML5 layout and done changes in the Layout.css for that with no problem. This is to augment things that are not editable in the RH application. But I have run into a frustrating problem. On pages that are told to be "open in new page" or "Whole Page", the banner at the top that has the project name header and the "Back" text on the right side, I can't find a way to change the banner color. Upon inspecting it in output it is relating to: <div class="topic-header" but I cannot find the CSS for this color change to be made?! Thanks for any help here!! Jeff

I first compile my Help layout in WebHelp. Our software product only supports .CHM, so I then convert my WebHelp to .CHM. My TOC is not displaying in the .CHM file. I think I have to link to something, but for the life of me I can't remember. I've attached 2 images. One showing my TOC from WebHelp and the other from .CHM output.

I am working in RoboHelp 2017 on Windows 10. The project I am working on is stored on a local drive (D:).When I add images to a topic, I go to Insert > Image on the Ribbon then navigate to the project folder where the images were saved to and select the image. I generate the output from the Microsoft HTML Help (Primary Output).When I preview the topics, the image placeholder appears (black square with white x).I've gone back to each topic (and there are several) to re-insert the image. I will periodically generate the output and make sure the images come over and they do when I view them from the Help | Index. I got through the last topic this morning and generated another output. Checked the topics at the beginning (which I fixed two days ago) and getting the broken images again.I should mention, when I open the topic, the images are there. They do not appear in the project folder from within RoboHelp. I have to Insert > Image or dbl-click on the image and re-select the image.An

Hi,In the Web Help world when we generated the output, in the folder there was a file named cshdat_webhelp.htm. Does anyone know what was the significance of this file?Also, what is the parallel for this file in Responsive HTML5 world?We are facing a scenario where the jenkins build fails when it picks up the responsive html5 help output. The jenkins job searches for the file cshdat_webhelp.htm in the Responsive HTML5 output folder. As it is not able to find the file, the build fails.Any pointers?..............-Tejas

Is there a way to change properties on multiple topics at the same time in RH 2019?In previous versions, you could select multiple topics in the Topic List pod, right click, and modify properties like the master page and CSS file, but I can't find an equivalent feature in RH 2019.
