I'm working on converting a webhelp project to responsive HTML5. When I go into my project to change the snippits we have for our tables, I can change the color of the header of the table, but when I exit out of editing the snippit, the old color still appears in the table heading example. When I add the table snippet to a new topic the new color shows in the table heading color shows in the new topic, but when I generate Responsive HTML5 output, the old color for the table displays in the table heading. How to I edit the color in the snippet and have it remain. We do convert our table snippits to HTML so we can add content to them.

Background:We create CSH for all of our product's table fields We are currently using the TopicAlias marker to create tags in FrameMaker source that are defined as <FieldName>. The TableName values are Heading1, so they are being written to individual table-specific htm files.Issue:When we generate the help in RoboHelp, we get:The generic context sensitive help bookmarks: #CSH_xxx.TableName htm files are generated as TableName-.htmSo the lookup is now TableName-.htm#CSH_xxx What we really want, based on what the developers are looking for, is: TableName.htm#FieldName We want:To be able to define our own bookmark text for the context sensitive help (in this case FieldName, but could be FormName, etc.)..htm files without the appended hyphen.Is there a way to suppress the addition of these unwanted items in the URLs?

How can i resize a photo to a smaller file without loosing the quality of the image??

I am unable to configure the CHM files optimized for High-Resolution display. In Help and Manual tool, there is an option to configure the CHM to optimize for High-Resolution display. Is there any workaround to get the text appear larger in High-Resolution display without doing manually zoom in?

Hello,I am using RoboHelp 11 HTML version 11.0.0.179, my operating system is Windows 7 Professional. I am trying to generate either a Word or a PDF file but I am getting the following error: "Microsoft® Word has not been started on this computer. Launch Word and click the 'Start using Microsoft® Word' option before generating Printed Documentation again."Here is some of the troubleshooting that I did:Enable all macros in MS Word 2013.I created a blank project and tried to generate Printed Documentation still getting the same exact error message.Any help or suggestion is very welcome.Thank you in advance!

Using multiple versions of FM (10 and 2015), using insets in FM, inserting images in the FM insets by reference, inserting images as PDF files because the quality is good, linking FM book in RH....The PDF figures do not display in RH and display as blank white spaces. So no PDF images are output to help files, such as Microsoft HTML help (CHM). Other formats can be used for images, such as PNG, but the quality degrades in RH.The same applies to equations. They are blank in RH and have to be converted to PNG and inserted as an image/figure in FM in order to display with low quality in RH.Is there any way to use PDF images when linking FM files with insets in RH?Thanks.

Hi,There is a requirement that we received asking us to integrate voice over with Webhelp. So, I was wondering is it a possibility with any of the versions of Robohelp? If yes, which version allows us to do so and how?

I have a central CHM of a merged Robohelp HTML Help project in which I cannot find any search hits.In a different one built at another date I can find results. (this is independent on the subprojects chms being there or not. Alone that central CHM exposes the strange behaviour)The funny thing: a colleague cannot find search results in the same CHM (in which I can find results). OTOH, when I try the CHM where he can find resultsI don't find any. When I try the same on another machine, same picture with me.How can this be?--Christoph

Am trying to find out if we can reduce the font size of Index, Glossary, Filter, and Favorites for Responsive HTML output in Robohelp 2017 version?

We are two people in a team working on Robohelp 2017 on the same project.We have two different licenses of Robhelp installed but working on same project on different topicsWhen we publish to Robohelp server, the server overrides the last published project. So the result is that the last published file shows the updates done by the person who has published overriding the previous project published.This is not we expect from Robohelp server. It should merge the updates done by both of us. Is it possible?[Title fixed]

I have five PNG files in a topic do not "preview" when selected in Insert > Image. The Preview pane displays a red box.When I preview the topic, the images appear correctly.I thought that the file names might be too long, but I verified that other PNGs with lengthy file names appear correctly.I thought that the PNGs might be too larger, but other PNGs of greater size preview correctly.Are there any restrictions related to images in terms of file name length or size?Thanks for any help on this issue.Regards,Carol Levine

I am using RH2015 and using the Charcoal_Grey responsive layout and when I preview or generate output the topic links in my TOC are blue and magenta instead of the default colors as defined in the Layout Customization dialog of (Selected color E1E1E1). Is there a way to override these to make them the defaults so the ouput looks like they should.

Hello,Like many other RoboHelp users, I get the following error message when I try to generated a "Printed documentation" output :"Microsoft® Word has not been started on this computer.Launch Word and click the 'Start using Microsoft® Word' option before generating Printed Documentation again."I use RoboHelp 2015 (12.0.4.460) and Microsoft Office Professional Plus 2010 32-bit (version 14.0.7194.5000).I have read the previous topics and tried the following things :- run both RoboHelp and Word as an administrator- run the winword /r command- launch my project from a local folder (by default my "My document" folder is stored on a network drive) I don't have Open Office installed. Word has been installed before RoboHelp. Macros are enabled in Trust Center.Thank your in advance for your help

While going step for step through all my subprojects I'm seeking for errors in Helpcompiler output and found this one:HHC3004: Warning: Some_Topic.htm : The HTML tag "?xml version="1.0" encoding="utf-8" ?" is not a valid HTML tag (it does not begin with an alphanumeric character).Looking at the file (with notepad++) I find it being an UTF-8 file with BOM. Seems likeMicrosoft HTML Help Compiler 4.74.8702doesn't like it.So what's with UTF-8 coded files in general in RH (9 in this case).I understand that HHC et al. are very old Microsoft programs and the may not know about UTF-8 at all, do they?What is the general strategy to cope with Umlauts etc. in RH-projects?--ChristophEDIT: another observation: I have lots of pages (.htm) that have an UTF-8 BOM and they work flawlessly in the HHC step.Only this said one on which the Warning occurs, differs in such a way from the others that this topic has a red X over the icon in the TOC treeview.Strange. Does anyone know exactly how to change the font from the default Times New Roman to a different font on the output Topic section? I have put custom CSS and that wont change it. I have tried tweaking the output and that wont change it. I visited the RoboHelp Tour website and I see the custom CSS working as mentioned, but just cant get the output to match.I imported the custom CSS as a baggage file and then referenced it in the Topic layout directly after the default layout CSS. Is this correct? Any help is greatly appreciated. Thanks!

I recently began a trial of RH 2017 and am learning about the 2 layouts that are said to have improved, google-like search features. It looks like Ocean and Indigo are the only two layouts supporting those search enhancements, but info on the Adobe site says that Ocean was deprecated as of Update 2 to RH 2017. This page Issues resolved in Adobe RoboHelp (2017 release) notes that "The responsive HTML5 Ocean layout is no longer available in the SSL Gallery and is not supported. You can still download and use the Ocean layout from the RoboHelp screen profiles and layouts page.".Does anyone have a sense of whether or not Adobe will roll out any additional looks that support the improved search features that came out with RH 2017? OR, are we limited long term in only having Indigo and the deprecated Ocean? Thanks,Karen

Happy Monday Fellow Adobians... we need guidance for securing our online help on a cloud server. Our team documents several applications and we're consolidating and moving our various online help projects to a single cloud server location. We want to keep the help secure while not requiring users to log into the server. We're considering redirecting them using a token or cookie for authentication and are looking to see how others have implemented something similar. I've scoured the forums and user groups and gurus' websites and am not meeting with much success. Has anyone else done anything similar? How did your company implement? How to apply watermark in RoboHelp 2017 projects.

Hi,How to set the page size for topics in Responsive HTML5 layout.Some of my topic content are less while others are more.  Though while setting up page break at H1 level in CSS.

As of today, my published WebHelp Pro projects no longer open. They worked as of last night.  Page says Invalid or Expired License.Try to access RoboHelp Server Administration jsp and receive same message.Only post I found was from 2013.We are running Adobe RoboHelp Server 10 on a Windows Server 2016 Standard.Our authoring tool is RoboHelp 2017 (RH 2017 13.0.2.334).I am not sure which version of Tomcat we are running.  I am also unaware of any changes but I have a ticket into our IT Ops department looking to see if there were configuration changes.Just thought I'd post this to see if by chance, it's a known and fixable issue.Thanks,Julie

Hello All,Re RoboHelp 2017The search function of the index (i.e. searching the index) is not working.Search of glossary works fine.I have tried regenerated the output several times.I also tried copying the index.hhk from a backup, and pasted it into the current project.  That did not solve the problem.Any suggestions?Thanks,Mark

Hi,When users are looking at our help, if they clicked on search, the next time they will open the help link, they drop into the search tab (which is shown empty).I would like that users will go to the TOC tab every time the help is opened (help.mydomain.com) is there an option for that as a URL (like in filters)? Maybe an option to disabling the browser caching of this specific thing? If no out of the box option available, would you recommend looking into scripts for doing that?Thanks!!!

Hi,The Responsive HTML5 output adds few extra characters in the output.t=Is this something that can be controlled/changed? Is there a way to still generate an output similar to the Web Help output without t=?Or is t= something specific to Responsive HTML5 layout that will remain?..........-Tejas
