I was starting to get comfortable with the latest beta build, and (at my own risk, I know), started using it on a live client project. As luck would have it, this evening when I go to push the changes to the server it just hands on the 'Save Team Project' dialogue, on the 'Adding assets to user session'. Cant save as, can't convert to normal project. So basically I guess that if I try and close Premiere, I can only do this with a force quit, and therefore I will lose all the work since the last push (a few hours ago) - unless anyone has any other ideas?!Craig
How do I change the ownership of a Team Project to another collaborator?
I am a collaborator on a team project with one other person, who is the owner of the project. Setting up the initial collaboration worked well. I made some changes to the project and pushed those changes out. The problem came when the owner of that project tried to pull those changes in. She got errors that the project could not be synchronized. I ran across the recommendation on another thread to delete "Team Projects Cache" and "Team Projects Local Hub" folders. We deleted these folders on both machines, which resolved the sync issue on the owner's machine. Unfortunately, I now have a problem. When I attempt to open the team project I get a completely blank interface - no assets, no bins, no sequences - nothing.I have closed Premiere and deleted those same folders referenced above but with no success. Every time I open the team project I have nothing. Thanks for the help!
Adobe Customer Service: When they don't know what's wrong with their CC and they don't want to deal with it, they just hang up on you!FIRST! I WANT EVERYONE TO KNOW THAT AVID CUSTOMER SERVICE WOULD NEVER DO THIS.Team Project has stopped syncing since the morning, Fonts wouldn't sync, nothing syncs. We have 16 licenses from them and they are not willing to share with us or don't even know how to fix the problem. They either blow me off by saying we'll call you back or hang up! THIS IS NOT ACCEPTABLE ADOBE!!! IT'S 1:30 PM AND OUR SYSTEMS HAVE BEEN STOPPED SINCE THE MORNING.All I see is that team project is disconnected and only saving locally. I uninstalled everything and reinstalled and still same problem. Brought down the IT department and we looked at possible network problems and there was none of that. 1Gig up 1 Gig down. They added on Adobe's website & have a recording when you call that indicates that Adobe CC is having technical difficulties. They would not tell me what it is.
Hi,Is there anyway to access the auto-saves in a team project. Generally we are not uploading shares/versions more then once a day. So of course we have the version changes on a daily basis to access in history. But what if someone needed to get back to a couple of hours ago in between versions. In Premiere Project there was an auto-save folder that had changes recorded on an interval basis.
Right now we have one PC editing a team project and a Mac that has been having issues ever since we upgraded our accounts to CC for Teams last week.Everything works perfectly on the PC, both are on the same network. On the mac, usually project will open, and changes can be pushed and retrieved, then anywhere from 2-30 minutes later any pushes/retrivals will cause Premiere to hang at the loading screen for whichever action it's doing.Right now, after loading a project most of the media is offline and when trying to get latest changes it displays the following forever unless I hit cancel. Then when trying to save it displays the same screen and makes it so I have to force quit premiere. The only resolution before the media offline problem started, was to restart the computer several times and randomly Teams will start working fine again, then it will fail randomly.Any ideas?
Team projects....no after effects? What the heck? That would have been good to know. I'm Very disappointed in team projects overall. When I first saw team projects, I made assumptions and became excited, thinking it worked like google docs. But sadly, no. Basically, team projects saves you from saving a file, and sending it to your coworker. That's all. That's all it saves you from. But it Also comes with headaches like, not being able to use after effects files in premiere, because it blocked adobe dynamic link. So working with you animated title guy (who may very well be yourself)? Dream on. Now they'll have to render each thing out, probably in a file format that accepts alpha, which are big, and then import them into the team project.Want to work on one timeline as a group? Well, better sit over eachother's shoulder then. You can only work on different timelines. So if your project happens to be split up into several groups, then for You it might work out well. One person can make so
After setting up a team project, I attached proxies to all my 4K footage. It looks great and I like that I can use the on/off switch to work with proxies yet also see the RAW. However, after doing research, I have learned the dangers of committing 100% to the Beta team project and decided it would be safer for us to do a regular project. The problem is when I "convert team project to project", the proxies are no longer attached to the clips and if I go to look at the clip properties, the proxies are gone. Please advise!
Hi forgive me if this has already been addressed. Is there any way to have metadata changes made in a Team prelude project written to the respective local media? The collaboration works very well but it seems all changes are stored in the cloud. I guess the ideal would be to be able to convert team projects to local and vice versa. Thanks!Danny
Managing the media in Team Projects has not been the most used feature, as I could guess from our User Forum posts. There can be multiple reasons for that:The users are already using their media in such a way that they don't need to exercise this functionality at all.Users are very well aware of what this functionality is.Users don't exactly understand what could be done using this feature in Team Projects.According to me, the third scenario seems to be the case with majority of users. In this post, this feature is explained in little bit more detail for those users. In the screen capture above, there are multiple things to go through. You can open the Media Management dialog by going to Edit menu and choosing "Team Project -> Media Management".Let's go through this dialog step by step.Left pane with four drop downsWe have four drop-downs in the left pane of this dialog.Online: Local Media MappingThis drop-down will list all the media which were imported by current user from local dr
There has been many questions on this forum regarding the state of the Team Projects. Is my team projects saved locally? Is it safe to clear the cache without loosing my Team Project data? Why can I not invite other users? Why can I not see any invite while somebody has sent me an invite? Why can I not see my Share button?I am going to write some helpful answers to the questions above. Please let me know if this is helpful.Team projects saved or not?If I keep the technicality aside, I would say that we save team projects at two locations:One on your local drive (well, it's not a project file which can be accessed by users. It's saved in some other format which can not be read by any application unless it's connected to Team Projects and there is no way of doing "File->Open" and pointing to this saved Team Projects)Another we save this project information on our remote server. There are some UI indications to tell if the team projects has been saved to either of these locations. To verify i
When Team Projects was initially rolled out as 1.0 Beta with After Effects 14.0 as one of its clients, there was no option to convert a team project into a local .aep project. This was one of the questions which came from almost every After Effects user on Team Projects forum. This was generally a situation where there was need of sharing the team project with those users who don't have access to Team Projects service. There are two possible solutions for this situation:The users who don't have access to Team Projects service could be added to the CC Team and when the requirement is over, those users could be removed. This would require additional seats in CC Team but that would not be a waste as the users can be removed from a team by the admin at any time and the removed user would no longer have access to team project.Another solution is to just convert the team project to local .aep file. Now Adobe has released After Effects 14.1 last week and this has the option to do just this. Go
Hi there,Not having an option to collect files, or to save as is not really helpful. What if the online CC platform is down and I want to work from the local file on my machine? Where is that temporary AE project saved? What if I just need to send an AE project to somebody without an CC subscription? Many thanks!
My team has a huge project to do and we discovered the team projects setting in premiere. We are SO CLOSE to figuring this out, but I feel like we are missing a step. I map the media on my computer and save the project. When my coworker opens it up, the files are "there" but they aren't linked. He tries to map them, but the files appear offline. What are we doing wrong?
Hello, recently I foolishly started an After Effects Adobe Team Project (Beta) as a test for a production project thinking that I could easily convert out of it. 35 hours in, I ran into the save problem mentioned here:Team Project Sync Issue And found that I couldn't convert back to a regular project. Most unfortunate. I followed the instructions in the above post and was able to continue access. Last night, I was working, and file again lost connection with the server. I followed the same steps in the post above as I did before, but now when I try to open the project I get this error:I get the same error now when I try to open the project on another computer as well. Is my project file somehow corrupted on the Adobe server? Is there anything I can do to fix this and not redo 35 hours of work? Here are the contents of my log file:C:\Users\[user]\AppData\Roaming\Adobe\Team Projects Local Hub\1.0\logsLog file created: 12/18/2016 4:33:28 PM-----------------------------------------2016-12-1
Hi,Yesterday I have an error while the team project was saving in premiere pro and I have to force the app to quit. When I open it again I have a version from two days ago. I tried to look the history versions but I don't have nothing since two days ago.I need some help to try to find yesterday versions. Thanks
So I have a project that started in Premiere that will have several of the shots replaced with visual effects. I'm trying to get this project to sync correctly across the Team Projects platform. All team members can open the projects, sequences, and files just fine in Premiere. We can upload and download latest changes correctly inside of Premiere as well. When the team project is opened up in After Effects it shows the premiere sequences as "missing".Since Team Projects doesn't allow you to actually save a project file, there is not physical copy on anyones machines to link. So I'm wondering how I fix this or if I should abandon the system for now. Based on the description of Adobe's youtube video showcasing Team projects which reads, "Karl Soule and Niels Stevens demonstrate Team Projects, a hosted collaboration service that will allow editors and motion graphics artists to work simultaneously in shared team projects within Adobe Premiere Pro CC, After Effects CC, and Adobe Prelude CC.
I could be being really stupid here as I'm only just getting started with Team Projects, but does anyone know where you can actually look at the comments that your collaborators have sent with their changes? The only place I can find them at the moment is by hovering over the version history slider, which isn't very practical. If this is the only way to look at this, can I suggest that a Comments window, or something along those lines, would be extremely useful? It would be good to have these front and center so that you're not trying to hunt down every change that other people have made.Otherwise, everything seems to be running smoothly so far!
I am working on a team project in Adobe Premiere Pro CC 2017 with the new beta feature. At the original physical location of my work, the synchronization, saving, and getting/sharing changes was working flawlessly. However, I recently switched physical locations and now my work on the team project will not synchronize and save. This is to the extent that when I ask the software to manually sync, it just responds with a sync failure message. Until I resolve this issue, I can not save my work and therefore I can not share my changes with the others working on the project. When I hover over the sync icon at the bottom left of Premiere Pro's window, it states "Connected (sync pending for local changes)". I have no clue if this means that there are manual changes I need to make or something else.Any help with this issue is much appreciated. Thank you all in advance.[Here is the list of all Adobe forums... https://forums.adobe.com/welcome][Moved from regular Premiere Pro to Beta forum... Mod]
Having the strangest time with Premiere lately.I started a Team Project in Adobe Premiere, but unfortunately it's still too early in development to be reliable. I've exported XML's of 6 timelines (from Premiere Team Project) and then reimported them into a normal Premiere project. However, only 3 of them import successfully. The other 3 give me the following error."This project could not be loaded, it may be damaged or contain outdated elements."It's strange because 3 of the XML's import fine, and they're all being exported from Premiere itself. Any ideas?-M
I have a project in Premiere Team Projects. It has apparently stopped autosaving and will not save. On the bottom left hand corner I've noticed that it is alternating like crazy between the green check mark and what looks like the cloud autosave icon. However, I know this project itself is not saving. This bottom left icon is the alternating between this icon and the green checkmark.I'm working on a Mac right now.[Moved from regular Premiere Pro to the Beta forum... Is there detailed documentation for Team Projects other than these?Team Projects FAQWorking simultaneously in shared video projectsCollaborate on shared video projectsAdditionally:How can a Team Project be deleted? What are the details about Archive?Using multiple workstations for the same project, why does an error message say one workstation "has precedence over another and local changes cannot be accepted"?
HiI recently started a team project however i am now in need of the AE file it self now as the shared location is not possible for some users it is being shared with, Is there a way to get my AE file? Thanks
Hello all-I am excited that Adobe has added the start of Node-based project management with the new 2017 Team Project feature. So my question is..Is there a video or tutorial with "Best Practice" setup for this type of edit?We have 3 new Apple Cylinder editing workstations on a 10 GB/s SAN network, with 500/Mbps tested off of the server, which is SSD. We are editing 22 minute episodes of 2K footage in rendered TIF sequences. We have seen a LOT of curious behavior when working on 2015.3 in the same scenario, and have yet to be able to determine what the best practice is for performance in this scenario. For instance,-Where do we set the cache? Right now we are setting it locally on each machine to a dedicated thunderbolt SSD. The thinking being that we don't want to use any network bandwidth to edit the TIF sequences, which are quite large, around 128 GB per 11 minutes. If we put the projects on the server, will it automatically detect a team edit? Can you make a tea
Hi, I setup my first Team Project today. All seemed to be good with my remote editor. We are using Dropbox to upload and sync proxy files. All seemed to be good. However, when I click to Get the Latest Changes I get an error message "There was an error syncing the Team Project" with an OK command. The Get Latest Changes arrow is greyed out now and I still don't have the latest changes. It only becomes available again when he posts another change update. However, when I click Get Latest Changes it still won't sync and I get the error again. I've tried restarting and logging out of Creative Cloud. Is there a way to force load changes from the Cloud or reset the sync feature? Thanks, Jerit
