I have a single PDF file open.  I happened to have Task Manager open and notice nine instances of Adobe AcroCEF running:Right click and select properties and they all point to the same executable. Any idea why so many would be needed?

What is happening with my original PDF when I watermark it and the selection boxes are removed(or overwritten)?

Hello, I would like to create a conditional equation in Acrobat.Something like:If check box # is checked, perform this equation: (Number in field A * number in field B) / 2And if is not checked, don't divide by 2.I've tried cobbling together some scripts from different questions to get it to work, but it's just not going for it and I don't know what I'm doing wrong. I've never used JavaScript before and it's not being specific enough to tell me what exactly the problem is. Hello, I'm experiencing a significant issue with Adobe Acrobat Pro (version 20.005.30574) on Mac OS Sonoma Version 14.3.1. Whenever I try to change the font from Helvetica to another font in any document, Acrobat Pro immediately crashes. This started occurring after the latest software update. My attempts to resolve this—cleaning, deleting, and reinstalling Acrobat Pro, and ensuring I'm on the latest version—haven't fixed the problem. OS:Mac OS Sonoma Version 14.3.1Adobe Version:20.005.30574Actions Taken:Reinstalling Acrobat Pro, checking for updates. Does anyone have any insights or solutions to this issue? On the web, I found a file using commitKey in Validation script with a strange syntax:   if (event.commitKey=13…)   With a single “=” symbol and with 13 which seems to be the ascii character of the Carriage Return.And that work!!!I tried to change with "if (event.commitKey==2…)" and that doesn’t work anymore!Does anyone have an explanation?Is there a more detailed documentation for this property?Thanks

When trying to create a PDF from Autodesk Revit (2017) using acrobat DC or Acrobat XI using the print to Adobe PDF function.   The file destination is on a second hard drive in my PC, not the root drive (C:) The first attempt usually does not generate a file, PDF, at all.  The screen does flash and shows a progress bar, nut nothing is created.  On the second attempt a PDF is usually generated and the progress window shows the sheet count as they are created.I troubleshot this issue for 2 hours with Autodesk tech support.  We installed all updates for Revit and Acrobat.  Results are the same.Please Help or help me escalate this issue,  I waste a lot of time not generating PDFs.

I have been a long time user of AA Pro since version 5. Although some versions took a step back on some of the features, was still a rock solid app. A major impediment was the overwhelming majority of the users were clueless on using several features built into the app. They would have been most comfortable using AA Reader. I was using Pro daily up until retirement. Now I only occasionally being retired.I think Acrobat may be getting a bad rep which I do not believe can be blamed on Adobe. I think this may be due to some aftermarket apps which can generate a PDF. When most users see the Adobe PDF logo on the file an assumption is made the file was created using Adobe AA Pro. May someone can shed light on how these companies are generating these files. The other day I downloaded a PDF from a government website. I have a myriad of issues with this file. We have an older installer (6/12/2024 Version: 24.2.20687.0) for Adobe Acrobat Pro DC that we use on our Enterprise Network. We install it and then have the user's login with their credentials at their conveinence, normally installing it ahead of time before the user picks up there computer from us.  The new installer (2.14.0.35) won't let us proceed with the install without authenticating an account. Is it possible to get access to an installer that doesn't need to be authentication (like the old installer we use) or edit the new installer to bypass authentication?

I finally upgraded to Acrobat Pro DC after keepinf Acrobat X Pro. Now I really wish that I hadnt. The OCR speed is ridculously slow compared to Acrobat Pro X. Is there any way to improve the speed of OCRing with this newest version as It is seriously affecting workflow. 

My user has Adobe Acrobat Pro.  Up until the 24.005.20399 update, (update on this machine on 2/3/2025), she was able to search this document completely.  Now, some text (in tables) in this same document is no longer searchable.  When I copy the text in question and paste it in notepad, it is nothing but unprintable characters.  When I edit the text (seen below), then copy the section I edited, it shows my edit with the correct character, but all the rest is still unsearchable due to the characters being "weird".  Other sections of text are still searchable.  Note: the text "looks" normal on the pdf, but copying the text and pasting it shows the abberation. Again, this is new behavior since the 24.005.20399 update.

Sprich wenn ich die Grafiken wieder an die richtige Stelle schiebe, die Datei abspeichere und schließe, sie danach wieder öffne, sind wieder alle Grafiken und Bilder verschoben.Was kann ich tun, das nervt tierisch.....

I recently found myself in a frustrating situation with my Adobe Acrobat subscription. I signed up for the trial version of Adobe Acrobat Reader, but I completely forgot to cancel it before the trial ended. Now, I’m stuck with a monthly subscription, and when I tried to cancel, I was told I have to pay a €75 cancellation fee because I was automatically switched to the annual plan.I am not using Acrobat Reader at all, and I find it really unfair to be charged such a high cancellation fee just for forgetting to cancel the trial. I understand there’s a contract in place, but it feels like a hidden trap for those who forget to cancel.Has anyone else experienced this situation? Is there any way to cancel my subscription without having to pay these excessive fees? Any advice or insights would be greatly appreciated.Thanks in advance!

Print to PDF feature seems to save as a notepad file - but only when I try to print to pdf emails. It saves with .pdf extension but magically turns into a notepad file and opens up with error message. I've uninstall/reinstalled to no avail. This just started today. Anybody know how to rectify that?

Usually, when I scan a document, Acrobat retains the settings from the previous scan. Except when the measurement (either length or width, doesn't matter) is exactly 10 inches. In that case, when I go back the measurement will reset to 1 inch. This is easy to work around by using measurements like 9.99" or 10.01", but I recently changed computers and operating systems and the problem persisted, so I figured it was definitely a bug on the Adobe end, instead of on my end. 

  I am getting the above error when I try to compare documents. I tried everything I could find online to fix the problem and decided today to do a factory reset on my iMac. So I have a clean reformatted HD with the latest iOS, installed and updated. Installed InDesign and Acrobat and still getting the error. I use this feature all the time and not sure what else to do. Any ideas? Sequoia 15.3.1Acrobat 2024.005.20400IMac Mini M1 

I need to detect if pdf is opened in program or adobe website extension. Adobe website extension displays pdf (i have form inside) different than its showed in program. I need to check where is it opened and move form fields. Any help would be appreciated.

I have 62 autocad pdf files to combine. I'd get 2 weird boxes added on the 1st page in the right hand top corner. If less than 50, it comes out perfect. Any help would be appreciated. 

My iMac (2017 on Ventura 13.7.5) runs Acrobat Pro V 2025.001.20428 which wont let me print .pdf docs. My MacBook Air (2020 on Sequoia 15.4) runs Acrobat Pro V 2024.005.20421 which does let me print .pdf docs. Any suggestions would be most welcome. Kind regards, Steve

It's really annoying that I have to close the "All Tools" panel on the left hand side every time I open a document, as it takes up a lot of screen space. Surely there's a way to turn off this panel so it doesn't automatically show itself each time a document is opened?!

Ich habe Adobe Acrobat Version 2022.003.20282 und verwende Windows 11 Version 22H2 Intel i7, 32 GB RAM, 64-Bit-Betriebssystem.Ich kann TIFF und PNG exportieren, neuerdings aber kein JPEG. Es zeigt sich zwar ein Bearbeitungsbalken aber keine Jpg Datei im Exportordner. Ich habe Acrobat repariert und auch neu installiert, es hat aber nicht funktioniert. Das selbe Problem habe ich auch auf meinem Notebook. Es kann also nur am Acrobatprogramm liegen, evtl. ein Bug? Wie kann der Fehler behoben werden? VG Rolf 

I can't readily combine files by selecting and then right clicking and then selecting combine anymore.  I had Acrobat Pro on my desktop but now I have some garbage web based thing that is slow and doesn't do it.  Yeah, it may be me, but it wasn't me for over a decade so no its not me.  Switching my association to REVU which isn't as good as it used to be but better than this garbage.  Even this help/community interface is bad.
