Please help!  I am currently editing a PDF and have added in text boxes to type in client information. The issue I'm having is everytime I try to type in a number it comes out it another language or as symbols. No idea what I am doing wrong, but I'm sure there is a fix for this.

Hi community, Are there any PDF Service APIs that alllow for the creation of a PDF from scratch and not from another document. I'm specifically looking for an API that allows me to precisely place text on the page in specific locations. Does such an API exist?

I am creating a Portfolio with 6 PDFs that are created in MadCap Flare. I want to be able to link across PDFs, that is the primary purpose of moving these PDFs into a Portfolio. I know that the links can be created in portfolio after PDFs are placed there, how can I embed the links in the source files so that they work once the outputs are placed in the Portfolio. Any ideas? 

Greetings Adobe Community, I was working with a member of the legal team today.  The user wanted to add an existing folder to a PDF portfolio.  Each time we chose to "add a folder", 20 individual files were added to the portfolio.  We then had to add a new folder separately, click and drag all the files into the folder.  Is there any reason why adding the folder does not add the folder containing the files which is the expectation?   Are we doing something wrong?  Please advise.  Thank you so much!  Tiffany, Loyal Adobe user 

I am having issues with this script. The custom calucation scirpt that I put in is correct and when I go to preview and drop down my first box and click on a product the second box next to it changes to the formula I am needing. BUT when I go to the drop down on the second box and click on the correct option it goes back to the first product typed in the options of that product. It won't let me choose another one in the drop down menu.. I am hoping someone can help me with this. Sorry if this kind of confusing I am trying to word this in the best way possible. I have also attached a screen shot of the first dropdown and second dropdown.

I am using Adobe Acrobat XI Pro. I am trying to create a stamp with a white background. For some reason, every stamp I create has a transparent background.I type the text in either MS Word or WordPerfect and save as a PDF.In Acrobat, I crop the PDF to the include only the text I was as the stamp. Then, in Acrobat, I click "Custom Stamps," "Create Custom Stamps," and select the PDF file I saved above. When I use the stamp, it has a transparent background.In the past, the background was white and I had to take extra steps to make a stamp with a transparent background.Did something change? Am I doing something wrong? This used to be really easy, and now I am at a loss. I have tried on both my office and home computer with the same results.Thank you in advance for any help. This is my first post, I apologize if I picked the wrong forum. I tried unsuccessfully to find the answer in either the forum or in general with Google. All my search results show how to create a transparent stamp.

The split feature doesn't work well since the redesign. First, it always defaults to 2 pages, which is annoying. Second, I tried adding split to the quick access toolbar because this is a feature I use constantly, and the button literally does nothing. Anyone know if there's anything that can be done or if Adobe is working on fixing this? I can't stand the redesign.

I purchased a desktop copy of Adobe Acrobat DC in 2015 for my 2015 Macbook Pro with an Intel processor.  The Acrobat program worked great for me during the past 9+ years.  But my old computer has died and I purchased a new 16" Macbook Pro with OS 15.3 and an Apple Silicon chip.The "Acrobat_2015_Web_WWMUI.dmg" file that I saved from this 2015 purchase is not installing on my new Macbook Pro.  Does anyone know if this 2015 version of Acrobat DC is compatible with the hardware and operating system of my new Macbook Pro.And if it is not, what are my alternatives to purchase another compatible desktop copy of Acrobat that I do not require an Internet connect to use on a routine basis (I need to be able to use the program during long international flights when I do not have an Internet connection)?  And, is there a one-time purchase option as there was last decade where I do not have to pay monthly or annual licensing charges?Thank you!

I've created a fillable form in Adobe which requires a signature. When I created the form I added a signature field, check boxes and a dropdown list. When this form is saved and downloaded as a PDF then sent to another individual in PDF format the form only allows the option to click the check boxes and select from the dropdown list. No field displays requiring a signature, nor the ability to even write where the signature field was assigned. Does the form have to be sent through Adobe in order for the signature field to display? Am I not able to download a PDF copy of the form and send via email? Any help is appreciated, thank you!

I need to combine over 800 individual PDF files (of individual email from a PST file) into one PDF file, but keeping the original document dates of the individual PDF/email files so that in the large PDF, I can sort them chronologically.  What happens, however, is that the "date" becomes the date that I combined the multiple PDFs and I cannot access the true document date to sort by. Is this possible somehow?

I have 40 pdfs that I only need the first page combined into 1 pdf. It is a pain to open and select or drag and drop or extract each single page and then combine them together. Other PDF tools I have used allowed you to select the pages and combine in 1 step.

I'm looking for a way to change the two default settings in Adobe Acrobat Pro (version 2024.002.20687). First, is there a way to set it to default to the Select tool instead of the Pan tool? I truly have never once used Pan, only Select, and it drives me *crazy* that I have to switch it over manually every time. I did at least turn on "Always display the keyboard selection cursor" under the Accessiblity options, but I'd rather just have it always be the Select tool in the first place.  Second, I have Single Page as my default as page layout. Adobe, by default, turns on "Enable scrolling for all view types" for every document. I really hate this too. I like to flip through pages much faster than scrolling. Is there a way to remove this as the default?  Thank you so much for any help. 

We have implemented MPIP sensitivity labels and encountered an unusual case. The steps we followed are:Create an O365 file (Word, PPT, XLS). Fill in the content as required and label it with a Sensitivity label that has active Content marking. Save the file.Convert the file to PDF format using either:Save as Adobe PDFExport → Create Adobe PDFThe PDF file is now generated. Since I have the Pro version, MPIP labels can be applied.Label this PDF with a Sensitivity label that has active Content marking.Now, the PDF file contains two content marks. In my case, there are two footers: one from the label inherited from the O365 file, and the second from the newly applied label.Is it a known issue? How to resolve it?

I have 2 adobe accounts, one of which is unused. (I assume the unused one was a free account a long time ago )Each account has a separate email.  I want to cancel the unused account and use the email attached to it as the primary email for my other account. If I delete the unused account can I edit my 1st account and change the email address to the address that was  used in the 2nd account?

I am creating a form in InDesign CC and exporting as an interactive PDF. I want to make some of the fields calculate a sum. When I select Value Sum and click on the Pick Fields, I am able to select the fields I want to include in the sum, but when I select okay, they do not appear in the window and the field does not calculate. I was reading about some bug/issues in 2015, but did not see any resolution. Does anyone have any suggestions. I tried restarting. Uninstalling and reinstalling and this did not fix it.Let me also say that I was trying to use the add java script in the custom field under Format and I am having the same problem where my window does not display the content after Selecting Edit and entering the information in the window.

From Indesign I would like to generate a pdf-file to be distributed to a group of representative (they will be using the pdf file for presentations). Now I would like my users to be able to hide selected (individual) pages in the file - without having Acrobat Pro to organise pages. Like in powerpoint where you can choose to hide a page and then un-hide it later on for a different purpose. Is this possible in the pdf format (and preferably from Acrobat Reader)?

Adobe Acrobat est l'application par défaut. Je dois soit lancer Adobe Acrobat en mode administrateur puis ouvrir le fichier (ctrl+O), soit lancer Adobe Acrobat dans le navigateur web et glisser-déposer le fichier en question.J'ai déjà tenté de "réparer" Adobe Acrobat par Paramètre>Applications>Applications installées>Adobe Acrovat ... Modifier>Réparer mais sans succès.C'est une situation très peu pratique.Je sollicite la communauté et la remercie de son aide.

I used to change pages on the Adobe PDF viewer on Windows by pressing the right and left arrows, but now, in the updated version, the typing cursor is constantly on the screen and I don't know how to get rid of it! I tried going for the hand tool, but the cursor stays.  What do I do?

However, there was an issue with the card that was supposed to receive the refund. I received an email asking me to enter new card details, but even though I followed the steps on buradaki , I couldn’t find the section to add a new card.
