Hi, I am combining the  Chapters PDF in to a combined One using Acrobat Professional Xi, 2024.  After combined, if i check the fonts in document properties the same name being embedded as multimple times.  Please advise why the same name of the fonts shows in two times.  We have been experiencing issues with users reporting that when attempting to open a second PDF file their app hangs for at 20-30 seconds with no response and then suddenly opens the files.  The only fix we have found to work is to use acrocleaner and then reinstall from Creative Cloud.  Not all of our users have access to creative cloud as many of them just use Acrobat Reader.  Steps we have taken include Full Removal with Acrocleaner and Revo and reinstallationRegistry edits to disabled Enhanced Security at StartupRunning program in compatibility modeSwitching to old viewAll devices experiencing issues are currently on 2024.5.20320 updateRepaired installationDisabled page cacheCleared local app data and let Adobe recreate folder We believe this is related to the current update as this was reported to be happening about a week ago, please advise.

The below error keeps appearing for my users with a full CC license. I have updated Acrobat but it made no difference. Contact your administrator Access to Adobe Document Cloud files and Acrobat online services, including sharing and e-signing, requires an update to the latest version. Contact your administrator for continued access. 

bonjour, j'ai crée un formulaire avec adobe pro => preparer un formulaire. J'ai utilisé les différents outils, jai eu recours a des boutons liens, des bouton de reinitialisation de  partie de formulaire, des fonctions java de colorisation ou de calcul interactif. Tout cela fonction sur mon pc windows, mais lorsque je met le pdf créé sur tablette avec l'appli adobe acrobat, certaines fonctions comme : le calcul interactif, les bouton resets et la colorisation du texte suivant les reponses ne fonctionnent pas. Comment puis je faire svp ?

In the old Acrobat DC you would click the stamp or comment or whatever tool (circle, line whatever you are adding) and as soon as you placed the stamp or the whatever the hover of the tool you were placing would disappear, now it stays attached to your cursor and I don't know how to make it go away. I can't find anything in preferences and if I click off the page it just drops another of whatever is attached to the cursor, how do I turn this off??? Thank you. 

I loved LiveCycle.  It allowed me to do this:Now, because XFA never grew and was discontinued, I need to create this functionality in Acrobat forms. I realize that Acroforms does not have growing fields, but I really am at a loss here.  I need to figure out a way to allow users to create a page 2 (3,4, etc), while putting the signature fields at the end.   This text may be copied/pasted from another application into this form.  When the user is done, they will "print to PDF," flattening the document into a multi-page PDF document.  I am looking for suggestions.  I am pretty good with the javascript, familiar with the use of hidden templates, and have a pretty good understanding of Acrobat form.  This is why I am discouraged by the number of "can't be done" comments.   I have come close with using the fieldFull event, but it seems to be a bit flakey.  The event.change and changeex  doesn't give me accurate data about

On MacOS Acrobat Pro 2024.005.20400, I can no longer delete and insert pages on duly password-protected PDFs (we want to protect the pages' content but leaving everything else possible). It says "operation not allowed" and then crashes. Last time I managed this operation was last december. Some newer version of Acrobat Pro since then must have introduced this bug.You can easily reproduce this bug like I just did with any PDF file (protect, save, close, open, try to add a page or delete one -> pop up + crash).Please help, since some of my company's critical documentation processes depend on it.

Hello everyone,  I'm trying to sign documents with my certificate through a acs smart card reader on the Adobe Acrobat. The card reader model is ACR39U-NF. It has been working flawlessly until recently.  Recently, I realized that it doesn't work and when I checked, there is no attached module under the Preferences > Signatures > Digital IDs > PKCS#11 Modules and Tokens.  By the way, other application can detect the device ACR39U-NF and the card with certificate in it successfully.  So, I can not click on the Attach Module, it's greyed out and passive. Please see the attached screenshot.  I'm not sure but this happened after a update (Operating System update or Adobe Acrobat update or Java update, I'm not sure.) I'm also attaching my operating system details in the attached files section.  Thanks for your help in advance. 

I'm trying to utilize scripts to calculate the LTV, LTARV and LTC as percentages in this pdf. It's not returning values for LTARV and LTC. The LTV calculation is only returning an error if the TransactionType field contains "Purchase" and the PurchasePrice field is left blank (which is correct). I work with large PDFs, which I have to prepare for economic printing, therefor I have to duplicate some pages or sequences of pages, because the printed pages to to several people. Let's say my pdf has 9 pages (123456789), then I final print-out need to have e.g: 123456789 123 123 123 555 666 777 Formerly, I am (cursing removed) sure I could easily copy and paste single pages (555, 666,777) as well as sequences of pages (123) This is not possible any more. The option is greyed out. This is really annoying!!!

Patch not installing properly on about 10% of devices. We just reinstalled Acrobat across the org because of the broken April update and again, we're having issues patching. It doesn't install automatically when users run it and when I try to push the patch with /qn, it gives error 1603. Logging in directly on the PC and running the patch works on some but we can't keep having to do this each month on 100+ devices. What can we do to fix this so we can install remotely via powershell, SCCM, etc without the constant errors? As the title suggests, the Fill & Sign feature is completely missing on a freshly installed system.This feature works perfectly on my other devices, yet for some inexplicable reason, it refuses to appear on this one. I was genuinely unaware that such a fundamental function—one that countless users rely on—could be so utterly broken for so many people. I have exhausted every conceivable fix: changing language settings, tweaking registry values, installing every possible update, and yet, nothing. At this point, I am genuinely at my wits' end. Why should something so basic require this level of troubleshooting? More importantly, why is it broken in the first place? I can access Fill & Sign on the cloud, but that is completely useless for my needs. I am paying for a service that cannot even provide its core functionality. I initially noticed that having both Adobe Acrobat and Creative Cloud installed was causing Adobe Acrobat to slow down significantly. Seeking a solution, I followed a suggestion from the Adobe community to download a standalone version of Adobe Acrobat that operates independently of Creative Cloud. When I Save As PDF or when I use the toolbar and Create a PDF from word, I often lose an image at the bottom of the page. Here is a screenshot from my Word doc.  The -10 + 8 is missing from the PDF file.  If I try multiple times, occassionally it will work, but not always. This has been driving me crazy for a long time. Any guidance would be appreciated.

I have some inquiries regarding the conflict with Protected Mode.After installing our company's security solution, a message saying "Cannot open in Protected Mode" appears when running Adobe Acrobat.The security software is hooking the Windows API. I want to prevent the crash without disabling protected mode.Please check if there are any settings to allow hooking APIs or hooked DLLs that affect protected mode. Or any APIs that should not be hooked.If there is an exception configuration in case of a collision with an antivirus product, please let me know. Thank you.

Does anyone know of registry keys in Windows that I can use to hide the Recommended Tools and Go mobile panes in Acrobat Pro CR?  I would like to keep the calls down our helpdesk for those users that do not have an Acrobat license so they are only using the Reader specific tools in Acrobat.  Plus keep the calls about getting Acrobat app installed on their business provided smartphone.  I've seen some older posts about using the bExpandRHPinViewer or bEnableFirstMile but these don't appear to work in CR. 

when i press shift for adding comment for straight line, i could not finsih the next point and it doesnt allow me to save, exit. Only close the entire software  When i edit the image, all the image got brusted and the comment ran to other direction when try to flattener preview ( previously was in th epreflight), it suddently cut the half of the second page. and th AI is not AI level, cant solve nor answer any probelmit is worse then a read.

I tried reinstalling and restaring twice. I can't see the edit, convert menu in the sidebar. The same with e-sign. When I go to All tools, they are there but when I click edit, I get moved to the edit sidebar and there is nothing there... I tried different files.   

Good morning, Using Adobe Pro at an enterprise, on a pdf fillable document; user has a block on a form where applicants can add entries. Example, the block to fill out may say 'NAME'. the owner of that document wants to add Comments next to the word 'NAME'. When she clicks to add comments, instead of the comments being added to the right of the word 'NAME', the comments will be added below the selected area. When trying to add text to that location, the text will be added to the right of the word 'NAME'. The intended placement. User wants to use the Comments option not Text. Is there a way to correct this. I do not believe restarting Adobe will work as the issue does not occur with Text only Comment(s). Also, the grid fix does not work. Thank you, Quincy

For context, I work on a Mac, and I've had these PDF's for a month or so - reading them, highlighting info, making notes and comments, etc. A few days ago, I noticed that when I open PDFs in Acrobat, they look blank. If I have text highlighted in the document, the highlight is visible but not the text. I've tried to open them in Illustrator and Photoshop to check if they are corrupt or anything like that, and even they appear normal. The issue seems to be in Acrobat. As mentioned, I've been working on these PDFs for weeks, so I can't afford to lose them. Please advise on how to fix it.I've attached screenshots to show what I mean - the one that it looks like in Finder before I click it open, and the other is what it looks like in Acrobat. Ps. SInce support is so bad and overview is so bad. This might be posted in the wrong community. I am pretty sure it is, but cant seem to find the right one.I ask myself who is copying whom when it comes to worst customer service ever? Adobe Microsoft or Microsoft Adobe. Been 1.5 hours on hold, because two agents from somewhere cant figure out my account. The team keeps closing my open support tickets. There only suggestion is chaning settings so my computer and account gets vulnurable. That is a solution to a problem? For adobe it is!But back to the issue. On hold for 1.5 hours unitl the system kicks me out. Then you try to find help online as the last message tells me just to find out that the virtual assistant is a joke and drags you a gazillion of questions just to let you know, that they dont care about any problems and I should check out the community.  My next quesiton is, where will this community send me to get help. Hello,I have a form that I have to complete multiple times with different information.  There is a part of the form that will remain the same throughout all versions.  I completed the original version and I wanted to change the comments section of the form and when I try to delete the comments it does it showing the changes with red strike through lines through the text I attempted to delete.  I need to just simply delete the changed text without acrobat recording the changes at all.  I have tried searching on here and NONE of the information discusses disabling this feature and the same goes for when I search using Google. Please, can anyone help me to turn this feature off? Sincerely, Alisa
