Generated files (Indesign/XMPie) must be split into 1000 or 5000 record segments. Acrobat generates and saves first split and then crashes (both MAC and PC platforms) during save of the second file. I am having to organize pages and then manually delete. Open to any thoughts or suggestions...

Hello,When I receive a marked up pdf from a client, I check off the comments as I finish them. Then after I export the pdf, I import any comments that are not addressed. I delete the ones I aleady checked off. When my client receives the pdf, all of the comments I checked off and deleted come back as "Marked Set by [my name]" which is very annoying because those were deleted by me and make it confusing to the client as to what comments are remaining. How can I disable this "marked set by" from happening? Thank you.Version 2024.003.20180

In the past, Adobe has always auto-rotated pages to the correct portrait or landscape orientation after running OCR text recognition on a file, but (after updating yesterday) now it's just leaving them as they are. Is there a way to get this back? I tried the "enhance" option with deskew, but that didn't work. Missing this very helpful feature and hoping there's a way to reinstate it. Thanks in advance for any advice.

I've recently started using Adobe Pro and when I use the text comment feature, the text becomes so transparent that it is barely legible.  I found a way to change the opacity to 100% by clicking Ctrl J, then inserting "this.nselectedAnnots[0].opacity = 1;" in JavaScript debugger, Ctrl + enter to execute the command.  Doing this gives me 100% opacity.  I then go back to my text comment, right click and select Properties, then select "make properties default", but it still only works for that document.  It does not change the default like it leads you to believe.  I have to do this to every document and it is maddening.  This issue is a deal breaker for me, but I'd like to inquire about a permanent fix for this issue before I make the decision to switch to another brand of software.  Does anyone have a permanent fix?

I have several times had to reset my date field (where one click allows you to choose the date) as it keeps transforming itself into a text field. This is very unhelpful! Any ideas how I can avoid this please?

I have a user whereby when she opens a PDF (which is already digitaly signed) - in that field instead of seeing what were supposed to see (the digi sgnature), we instead see just an empty field.If she opens it with Foxit, she can see the signature no problème.Many users have Acrobat Adobe Pro and they all can see the signature.For some reason, it's only her.she sees only = a blank field. I uninstalled it (AAP). and re-installed it (have license)from Creative cloud.*With the same result.!! I even went as far as to log that user onto a freshly newly installed windows 10 Laptop. Then I went ahead and installed Adobe Acrobat Pro,  and tested it = The same thing! (she can't see the signature) What on mother's earth could explained this?!! Thanks.   

I am on a machine with Windows 11, using Adobe Acrobat (64-bit) v24.003.20180.  If I create a fresh, new, blank PDF, use the drawing tool to draw a line and/or a rectangle, then try to copy the line and/or rectangle and paste into another fresh, new, blank PDF, it does not work.  I can copy/paste text boxes from one document to the other, but it won't pick up the lines.  I have tried several different ways, including pasting as an image and using the OCR Recognizer tool, doing a CTRL+A, using the Select tool, changed preferences to not launch Adobe Acrobat in protected mode, etc. but nothing works.  I have a very basic header that contains four text boxes, one rectangle, and one line that I have to add to 300+ documents that are in PDF format.  Having to draw the line and rectangle and format them manually on each document will add a significant amount of time and labor to this effort.  It seems like this should be a VERY basic function for such a "robust"

Every professional using Acrobat needs the ability to check off comments that have been mentioned, and filter them so only unchecked ones are visible. It was a there and now it's gone. I've uninstalled and reinstalled Acrobat, updated to the latest version, deleted my preference file. But that filter has disappeared. Please bring in back.

Is it possible to save files (emails & webpages) as pdfs without launching (ie opening) the acrobat app? I recall that I used to be able to save as a pdf by creating/saving the pdf to a folder and Acrobat would not open, the file would simply be saved as a pdf into whatever folder it was saved to without also launching the app.  Thank in advance.

Since the last upload of Acrobat Reader pro on my Mac,  my Microsoft Word can't use the Acrobat macros anymore. I receive this message if I try to use the Acrobat function on my last version of Word on MacOs (sign or create and share a PDF Adobe)"Visual Basic Run-time Error 76 (Path Not Found) " 

Everytime I try to send a pdf attachment in an email on my PC, it converts to a link. I furiously click on the conversion scale to the right of sceeen to prevent the action and only sometimes it stops. Then, when I try to send the email with the attachment, Adobe preventes me from so doing because "I have changed the email". This is so infuriating as my clients complain. I have tried two fixes I found on Google but neither worked. HELP, I'm at my wits end. This is entirely peculiar to mu PC, not my Mac.

When I converted Word docs to PDFs, Acrobat was used to recognize the checkboxes. It does not anymore, and now I have to add checkboxes to pages of my documents manually... I'm talking almost 100 checkboxes, and it takes A LOT of time to have to manually add and arrange them properly.PLEASE How can I get it to automatically recognize checkboxes from Word again? Thank you.

I have two parts of a checklists on one page. But based on what you choose in a dropdown depends on what part you need to companete. There are a few text fields and also some check boxes. I have not been able to come up with a way to hide the other section becuase it does not pertain to the item you chose in the dropdown. Is there a way to do this?

Hello,  I am trying to create a resume (not a default template, designed as a Word docx originally) but when I type out words, it makes some letters appear bold. Please refer to the attachment below.  Do you see how the n, d, and s are all bolded?  Any assitance what be appreaciated. Thank you! 

When I edit pdf, these lines just full of screen and I can't edit my pdf. How can I turn it off?

Hi,I am using Acrobat 2024.002.20964 on the MAC.When I insert a text box and enter a text, I get text suggestions through a dropdown, which were probably used in the past. (see picture).I have the following problems with it:There is an x to delete an entry but, when I click on it, the suggestion is there again the next time.if I make a new entry that does not exist in the list, it is not saved in the drop-down listSo I constantly have the same suggestions that are no longer useful to me, I can neither delete them permanently nor add new ones.The problem persists when I uninstall and reinstall Acrobat using the uninstaller. Where can I manage these entries?Within Acrobat or by editing or deleting a library file?I look forward to your help!Steffen.

Can anyone suggest inexpensive, or free, imposition software. I need to turn a PDF into an 8-Up PDF and would prefer an more automatic solution, rather than a manual one. I did a trial of PDF snake and it was perfect...until I learned of the cost. My current usage, does not justify the cost.

as the Subject, the error message as " a funning instance of Acobat has caused and error ", and at the first time it shown up , i have deleted the app and reinstalled it to make sure it is the lastest version. My due day is coming soon!!! need a help desperately. If not able to sovle the issue, might please refund my subscribtion??

Greetings, After using the PDF Review Server on multiple docs for about a year, I am today getting this error message:"Adobe Acrobat cannot connect to the Review Server: 13.107.136.9"We host our Team comments on SharePoint. I have no issue visiting the SharePoint and viewing the Adobe file.Does anyone have an idea of this error's root cause and/or how to troubleshoot this?I am really blocked from doing work.I have tried many of the other remedies posted in this community to no avail (tried logging in/out of SharePoint, Adobe, deleting credentials, rebooting, etc.)Here is the Acrobat Pro DC version: Thanks,Howard
