I have some inquiries regarding the conflict with Protected Mode. After installing our company's security solution, a message saying "Cannot open in Protected Mode" appears when running Adobe Acrobat. The security software is hooking the Windows API. I want to prevent the crash without disabling protected mode. Please check if there are any settings to allow hooking APIs or hooked DLLs that affect protected mode. Or any APIs that should not be hooked. If there is an exception configuration in case of a collision with an antivirus product, please let me know. Thank you.
Does anyone know of registry keys in Windows that I can use to hide the Recommended Tools and Go mobile panes in Acrobat Pro CR? I would like to keep the calls down our helpdesk for those users that do not have an Acrobat license so they are only using the Reader specific tools in Acrobat. Plus keep the calls about getting Acrobat app installed on their business provided smartphone. I've seen some older posts about using the bExpandRHPinViewer or bEnableFirstMile but these don't appear to work in CR.
I tried reinstalling and restaring twice. I can't see the edit, convert menu in the sidebar. The same with e-sign. When I go to All tools, they are there but when I click edit, I get moved to the edit sidebar and there is nothing there... I tried different files.
Good morning, Using Adobe Pro at an enterprise, on a pdf fillable document; user has a block on a form where applicants can add entries. Example, the block to fill out may say 'NAME'. the owner of that document wants to add Comments next to the word 'NAME'. When she clicks to add comments, instead of the comments being added to the right of the word 'NAME', the comments will be added below the selected area. When trying to add text to that location, the text will be added to the right of the word 'NAME'. The intended placement. User wants to use the Comments option not Text. Is there a way to correct this. I do not believe restarting Adobe will work as the issue does not occur with Text only Comment(s). Also, the grid fix does not work. Thank you, Quincy
For context, I work on a Mac, and I've had these PDF's for a month or so - reading them, highlighting info, making notes and comments, etc. A few days ago, I noticed that when I open PDFs in Acrobat, they look blank. If I have text highlighted in the document, the highlight is visible but not the text. I've tried to open them in Illustrator and Photoshop to check if they are corrupt or anything like that, and even they appear normal. The issue seems to be in Acrobat. As mentioned, I've been working on these PDFs for weeks, so I can't afford to lose them. Please advise on how to fix it.I've attached screenshots to show what I mean - the one that it looks like in Finder before I click it open, and the other is what it looks like in Acrobat. Ps. I'm aware that this is an issue many other Mac users have and I've tried so
SInce support is so bad and overview is so bad. This might be posted in the wrong community. I am pretty sure it is, but cant seem to find the right one.I ask myself who is copying whom when it comes to worst customer service ever? Adobe Microsoft or Microsoft Adobe. Been 1.5 hours on hold, because two agents from somewhere cant figure out my account. The team keeps closing my open support tickets. There only suggestion is chaning settings so my computer and account gets vulnurable. That is a solution to a problem? For adobe it is!But back to the issue. On hold for 1.5 hours unitl the system kicks me out. Then you try to find help online as the last message tells me just to find out that the virtual assistant is a joke and drags you a gazillion of questions just to let you know, that they dont care about any problems and I should check out the community. My next quesiton is, where will this community send me to get help. The customer run-around is a for real also at Ado
Hello,I have a form that I have to complete multiple times with different information. There is a part of the form that will remain the same throughout all versions. I completed the original version and I wanted to change the comments section of the form and when I try to delete the comments it does it showing the changes with red strike through lines through the text I attempted to delete. I need to just simply delete the changed text without acrobat recording the changes at all. I have tried searching on here and NONE of the information discusses disabling this feature and the same goes for when I search using Google. Please, can anyone help me to turn this feature off? Sincerely, Alisa
how can i make a template that i can save and easily fill out on my ipad
It adds itself to any new Chrome profile, even with new Windows users. I've gone through a dozen different troubleshooting recommendations online and I cannot find how the extension keeps adding itself to new Chrome profiles. Somebody please explain. Otherwise I'll need to completely uninstall Adobe Reader on all of my computers (including work computers), never install them again, recommend to anyone I know that there's effectively malware on my computer from Adobe that can't be removed (and is behaving deceiptfully, as in, when it's removed, it's not actually removed), and maybe write a blog or post a video about the incessent unauthorized behavior Adobe is trying to ram into our Chrome experience. By the way, when I downloaded the Reader install, I unchecked the box to include the Chrome extension. So it just ignored what I asked, and now won't remove itself from my home. It's quite the non-consensual behavior here, and I never let anyone into my home again if they re

I am using Acrobat web browser version, as I do not currently have access to the app. I'm working on a pdf I have saved to the cloud, and I closed the document, and opened it back up shortly after, and the last 45 minutes of highlighting had not been saved. The bit I did before that did though. I highlighted it again, and checked, and again it did not save.
Hi, I just got Adobe for Google Drive, and it works well when I fill parts in English, but on the same file, filling the same way sections in hebrew, when I save the file, it doesn't save the changes, neither does it recognize them if I want to print the file. Has anybody had this issue? how did you solve it?
Hello, I am having a hard time editing a PDF in Acrobat. Whenever i press the edit button and click on the text I want to edit it just shows these two blue lines but doesn't allow me to click in the PDF text to edit it. It often says original font not avaiable switching to Myrid Pro. I am not sure if it's a different font is the reason why but I can not click in any of the text box to edit and have tried what seems like everything. I can add text but I cannot edit the text that is already on this PDF. What am I doing wrong?
My users are reporting that even when they turn the "show comments pane" checkbox off, the next time they open a document the setting turns itself back on and slows Adobe down so much it is unusable.
I am using Acrobat Pro version 2024. I am new to Acrobat, so my question is probably very elementary.Initially I was trying to crop-off the margins from a Hebrew document. I did this successfully a few weeks ago. Anyways this time (after cropping-off the margins), when I tried to do SaveAs I got the following error:..... "This document could not be saved. There was a problem reading this document (8)". I closed and reopened the same source document and tried to do a SaveAs (without doing any editing) -- and I got the same error. I searched on the forum for "document (8)".https://community.adobe.com/t5/forums/searchpage/tab/message?q=%22document%20(8)%22&collapse_discussion=true However I did not see anything relevant to my situation.Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
Hi, My Adobe (Modern) was working until sometime this afternoon when it appears it has updated to Version 24.1. Now, I cannot open any PDF files as all I get is a blank screen. I don't even get a menu bar, just a white background with the standard Windows Minimise, Maxmise and X buttons. I've uninstalled, CCcleaned, reinstalled, same problem. I can't even access the menu to switch back to the older menu version. I am running Windows 11 Version 24H2 OS build 26100.3194 and Adobe 24.1. Please adviseKen Brattey
Recently got a subscription for Adobe Acrobat, as our old Adobe Acrobat X software was getting dated.I have been completely frustrated with the Bookmarks pane opening on EVERY SINGLE PDF, and no matter how much I search for a solution, there is no global setting to remove this. This is the worst oversight for any software that I have ever seen, not being able to manipulate a setting like this globally. I don't work with the same pdf everyday as I'm publishing from CAD and reviewing different sets of drawings, so having to manually change this every single time is a bother. Genuinely considering canceling my subscription because of this and going over to Bluebeam. Adobe - do something about this. I'm clearly not the only person to bring this up as a concern or issue.
How can I create a pdf using the clipboard without text overflowing ?Is there an option for it to add pages as it creates the pdf ?
Every time I open Adobe Acrobat, I get these two screens. The only way I can get rid of them is to do a Force Quit of Distiller. I can't move the top box to make any changes to the bottom box. It's frustrating and I don't know what to do about it. I am running MacOS Seqouia 15.3. Please help!

Hi, I have a brand new Macbook Pro M4, 15.3 Sequoia, 16gb, 1tb and a fresh install of Creative Cloud but whenever I try to open distiller it crashes immediately on startup. I have done the whole uninstall/reinstall thing but no positive result. Any clues on what could be the problem? Thanks.
Hello,After I close Acrobat Pro it continues to run in the background. Is this behavior by design or is there something that I need to do to prevent it? Thank you.Dave
Last week I shared a PDF using Adobe Acrobat. Today it no longer shows up under "Shared by You" within Acrobat and it also does not show up on the cloud Adobe Acrobat files "Shared by You". The file was there yesterday. But here is the kicker, the link I sent via email still opens a web version of the file and I can see everyone's comments. So I know the file still exists somewhere.I tried rebooting my computer and when I check for updates it says my Acrobat is up to date (Adobe Acrobat Pro 2024.005.20399).I'd really like to know what happened to my shared files.
