I have fillable PDFs for a project. But through piloting, we made changes to the forms. To make sense of the data, I need to compare all of the fields and their related response options (I have several drop-down fields) across all versions of the form. I have lots of versions, so comparing one form to the next manually is going to take forever. I've tried using python to extract all of this, but I can't seem to get it to work the way I need it to. I know how to extract data from the form, or extract the field names by merging to an Excel file. I don't just need the option that's selected in the form, I need ALL of the possible options. I feel like this should be a built-in tool. Can anyone help, please?

Time to ask the experts for help again.I have 2 text fields. The first is an initial value and the second field is the value after the device is adjusted. If the first field is within a range, the second field populates with 'N/A'. Both fields will always be a decimal number starting with zero (i.e. 0.049 or 0.0493). This number must have 3 decimal places or 4 decimal places and must have the leading zero. The second field must have the same number of decimal places as the first.I know I can use the Arbitrary Mask (0.9999) or (0.999) to achieve 1 of the results but is it possible (with code) to achieve both options. The requirements are;The number must start with 0. (zero and a decimal point). The number can only have either 3 or 4 decimal places. The second field must have the same decimal places as the first field. (I think I have the correct code in the second field already for this)I initially had no formatting in the first field, apart from the limit to the number of characters. The
I am using adobe acrobat for opening work documents but currently I am leaning towards completely deleting the application. For the past two months the issue with opening a simple PDF files has been growing. I have tried all kinds of tips of changing the security (enhanced) preference to uninstalling and installing the application. It takes more than 2 minutes to just open the document before I can start going through a 10-page document. It is ridiculous and a huge time waste. I noticed there was a "bug fix" but it has not resolved the issue. In the past 6month the issue was for 5-10sec maybe which was a big downside but I could work with that. If I am not wrong the introduction of AI tool has seriously slowed down the loading speed of files.
Is anyone experiencing issue with very slow PDF files, or NOT being able to open multiple files with Acrobat? Our company policy uses Sentinel One and Rapid 7 for online security and it seems since we have made the transition to this setup our work has drastically been slowed down by these types of issues.
Hi all, It took me so long to figure out why text field properties options were limited and not showing me 'format' tab.I now understand that it was automatically detecting fields and the form was prepared for e-signing.I went to preference to uncheck any automatic detection and now I am able to create form components such as text field, e-signature field as needed. However, I cannot find this menu (add a text field or add e-signature field) in the customise toolbar window under Prepare a form option. I was able to even a few days ago but after re-imaging my laptop and re-installing Acrobat, I cannot find this function. Please help!! Thank you.
Hi. I'm looking for a method to; 1) make a PDF form with image, text and checkbox input fields, save. 2) fill in content, 3) Strip the PDF of these input fields but keep the content that has been inputted into the fields. Aka.. a text input field becomes just text. I need this as I'm showing the PDF in 3rd party software that doesn't handle form fields properly. I want to be able to make a lot of PDFs with different content, strip fields, save and then read into this 3rd party software. Any ideas?
I appreciate if anyone can help me with this. I have got many 3D pdf documents for my work. Before macbook, i had a windows pc and documents were working fine. Not as quick as I needed but much better than now. My mac has 24gb ram and when I try to display 3D files, it opens very slowly and once it is open, interaction is much slower. I can't rotate, spin or take measurement easily. I don't want to mention any other software here but I can easily do this in foxit and quicker. I have enabled 3D display, disabled security. Yet, still same issue. I can do this in other software so I don't think my mac has problems. But I don't know what the problem is. Any help please?
Help! I'm using a nametag template in PDF and the grey lines are printing in the wrong places for the actual card perferations. I've got the names in the right places. If I could just hide the grey lines it should be ok. thank in advance!
I am trying to figure out how to comply with the electronic signature requirements most US states have implemented for sealing of blueprints by engineers or architects, particularly FL. I can apply a Stamp, which I have created in Acrobat with a dynamic date field to show when the Stamp was applied to the page. That does not seem to always be an acceptable form of certifying the pages digitially, however, even though Adobe asks for an Identity Setup when you begin applying the Stamp. It sounds like Digital Signature may be the best solution for this in Acrobat since not all the pages in a document always pertain to the same discipline and should be signed individually by the professionals. I am very unclear as to how the authentication works and whether the image of the seal should be part of the Digital Signature process or applied separately as a Stamp as I have been doing. Also, since Digital Signature saves the document after each page is signed,
How do I change the size of the PDF Document to A4 or US Legal? I have a pre-existing Adobe Acrobat document that I need to simply edit by changing the Page Size to US Legal or A4 and re-arranging the content. When the end user opens the .pdf document for viewing, it needs to display in A4 or US Legal. I can do this very easily in Microsoft Word by simply selecting the Page Size as shown below and saving the document. However I have a pre-existing Adobe Acrobat document that I need to simply edit by changing the Page Size to US Legal or A4 and re-arranging the content.
I am encountering an issue with Adobe Acrobat Pro DC when creating forms. This has never happened to me before, but now I cannot get the program to fix this issue. I have created a form and would like to use the same form fields on a similar document. Normally, I could just open the "Prepare Form" tool on both documents (in separate tabs), select the fields I want to use, COPY (CTRL+C), then switch tabs to the other document and Paste (CTRL+V). From there, I could move the fields into their correct positions. Today, however, after copying and pasting, I CANNOT move the fields. I cannot delete them. I cannot use the "Align", "Center", "Match Size", nor "Distribute" functions. This is extremely frustrating as I often reuse forms with similar fields to save time. I do not want to have to create each individual field every single time I duplicate a form. I have tried restarting the program and my computer and nothing has worked. Thank you in advance. Program/Compu
I have a form PDF that we use over and over again. I have to add the same text fields in the same location every time to these forms. Is there a way in Adobe Acrobat DC to just save these form fields and apply it to the document each time without having to recreate the multiple fields manually every time? They are just text boxes where I list the same information on the form, in the same location. Can I save those as a template and then when I open the new PDF form, just apply that template so that all those fields are inserted and not manually have to create each one individually each time? TIA! As a side bar, this form is also electronically signed by different people each time. Is there a way to add a signature and date block as well?

Please give me a SAFE, CLEAN, Honest link.do we really have to go to such sketch websites?Есть ли безопасная ссылка для загрузки программы Acrobat Reader, которая по умолчанию не устанавливает McAfree? мне нужна чистая ссылка, которую я могу дать людям при оказании им поддержки. Hello, I am new to this and working on trying to change the color and font of only ONE specific dropdown selection out of many multiple within that dropdown list. I have set the primary color of the dropdown selections to RED, but if the user selects NONE SELECTED, I want this to show as a Bold Black color style. Is this possible?
I have the license key. Need to move from Windows 10 to Windows 11, and I'm wondering what else needs to be installed to allow Acrobat Pro 9 to install and run. Older versions of Visual C++, perhaps (as is the case for Photoshop Elements 2021) ?
All my photos taken on iPhone are saved as .heic extension. I need to convert dozens of heic images to PDF but Windows 11 does not support HEIC by default. Can I use the Acrobat app to bulk convert HEIC to PDF on Windows 11 PC? I heard Acrobat is one of the best PDF converter apps. Not sure it supports HEIC image files. Please share you insight on this topic. Thanks
I am on CC enterprise (gov't) continuous release Acrobat 2024.004.20772 and can see the form fields in a PDF fillable form. My clients have continue release outside of Creative Cloud with the same update number but cannot; this just started yesterday (12/11/2024). They are viewing correctly in Acrobat, not a browser. Changing the default fill color from the light blue to another color doesn't affect. It seems to be a bug given continous release? Any other ideas? Thanks!
Hi all!I work with typesetting of translated InDesign files and sometimes I got interactive PDF sources with forms and buttons created only in Acrobat. The translation should match 100% the source PDF visual, so I end up copying and pasting all forms and buttons page by page, manually.I know there's the "replace pages" trick, but it isn't great for this case as it always retains not only the form fields, but also the hyperlinks. Even if I delete the hyperlinks, it will still not be helpful as the replace pages don't bring hyperlinks with the new translated content! So this method can be dangerous as the translated PDF may contain hyperlinks to the localized web pages, in other words, they need to stay as they are.Is there any way or script to copy/import all the interactive buttons and forms (only, not hyperlinks) to the new translated PDF?Acrobat doesn't really seem to have a native way to do so. The Prepare Form mode only allows to "Create Multiple Copies..." within the same document
Hello,I am new to javascript. I followed a tutorial to be able to autopopulate a dropdown based on another, but I don't know how to make it work based on the selections of two dropdowns.I have 7 options in the first column (discipline), and 5 levels in the second column (level). Depending on what is selected in those two, I need to auto populate different options in the third row (power).¿Could someone help me with that?
When I open Adobe, it is to do some work. Just stop putting a splash screen up telling me to try something without an X to close the box. I know how to use Adobe...i AM A PAID SUBSCRIBER and I do not want to click "TRY IT" and redirect to another screen prior to beginning the task at hand. JUST! STOP! IT!
I received a form to be posted on sharepoint. When I download and open, it looks fine like this:But the moment, I post it on sharepoint and when opened, it shows like this:Document was created by someone else on a Mac on InDesign. We are stumped as we have not come across this before.
Hello,I am trying to convert multiple image files (jpegs) into one pdf file. When I go to Combine Files, select the files and hit combine, I get an error message that says, "No pdf file was created because Adobe Acrobat encountered an unidentified error." While trying to do this, I have also received the error, "Adobe Acrobat could not open [file] because it is either not a supported file type or because the file has been damaged." I have tried it with various files so I know it's not an issue of a particular damaged file. It happens for any image files I try including pngs. It also will happen with any number of files I try, even just two.I have done this in the past without an error so I'm not sure why it is not working. I am using Windows 10. Any suggestions? Thank you!

When I print my file directly from Adobe Illustrator, the print comes out fine. However, when I save the file as a PDF using the "PDF/X-3:2002" settings and try to print it from Adobe Acrobat, some areas of the illustration print with white blocks over them. There are no hidden layers in the file, so I'm unsure why this is happening.I need to send the PDF to a client, but I don’t want the random white blocks to appear. Has anyone encountered this issue or have a solution?
