HiI have been using Acrobat since years either for reading or for getting editable text from scans sometimes 100 pages documents. I experience too many errors in OCR so that when i copy/paste recognized text into external applications (usually Microsoft Office) i have to spend a significant amount of time fixing the text. That even when the scan has a pretty good quality and low level of noise or distorsion. Recently i loaded pdf files (whose text was previously recognized by Acrobat OCR) into multiple AI's (chatGPT, NotebookLM, Mistral, etc). It appears that these AI's where doing à better recognition in locations where Acrobat text was wrong. So my question is whether build-in Acrobat OCR performance is going to improve and provide much better end user experience. This is indeed a serious matter of productivity since i would not like to be forced to use external tools to workaround errors in Acrobat OCR. Thanks for your feedback 

Ich habe über mein Apple Handy die Pro Version gekauft und wollte jetzt auch am PC die Pro Version nutzen. Wenn ich mich mit demselben Account an meinem PC anmelde, wird mir jedoch nicht angezeigt, dass ich die Pro Version bereits gekauft habe, sondern lediglich, dass ich einen neuen Testgang starten könnte.  Was kann ich tun, damit ich die Pro Version sowohl am Handy als auch am PC nutzen kann?

I have used javascript to crfeate a calculation that works. I was wondering what the Acrobat Update Service actually does - because I never get any notification about an update, I always have to manually kick off the search for updates.This defies the need for such a service running all the time. In addition, there is already the "Adobe Update Service: Creative Cloud Update Service" running all the time - so there are two services for basically the same task.I would suggest that Adobe might consider integrating Acrobat into the CC App in order to have one place only that handles updates to all it's applications and get rid of these duplicate processes.   

Just upgraded to CC Pro. Acrobat Pro is not offered in the apps to install, but CC Pro is advertised as containing Acrobat Pro, not just Acrobat Standard. Got on the phone with a tech, but I don't think he knew what he was talking about. Didn't sound very confident, and what he implied was that the "Acrobat" that I was seeing that was installed WAS actually "Acrobat Pro" - even though there was NO indication of such - even in the "About" section and all the usual places. I see that others have had this issue - is this a "thing" in CC Pro now - are we waiting for a bug fix?Anybody got a *real* fix for this issue?

Why Do I have always problem writing in the Text Call out box? Can anyone help me out please! I try to click text call out box to write comments or any issues but seams like 95% time I am having issues with it. sometimes I can go right into it but most of the time it is not working for me. What I am doing wrong?

Adobe Acrobat Version 25.1Windows 11 24H2 Wanted to use the turn around page feature from Acrobat Writer today. but immediately after starting the program, another empty popups appears and the complete programm is closing. there is no error in windows events logged. there is no error in adobe acrobats folders. nothing the app just went from everything is fine a few weeks ago to completly unusable today.  I already did a reinstallation of the program. did the "cleanup" of the windows registry as mentioned in another bug post. but nothing helps. when installing the Adoe Acrobat READER the programm will start and stay open. but immediately after upgrading / installing the update to WRITER it will again run into the error...  Any Idea? 

I want to change the email from which and to which docusigned are sent.  How do I do this? I changed the email address related to my Adobe account, but the docusigned emails are sent to another email address that I no longer wish to use. Thank you.

Acrobat on Mac currently doesn't update through the CC app like all other Adobe apps do. I'm attaching a screenshot of a pop up message I've seen a couple of times over the years where I've gone to restart my Mac to be informed that without my knowledge, Acrobat was installing in the background and I couldn't restart. When pressed for a deadline this was especially unappreciated but further, I do like to have control of when and what gets updated.  I’ve taken the steps of turning off the auto update within the Acrobat settings, however, the application is a complete scourge at nearly daily popping up message that it is “unable to check for updates” yeah…no kidding. You give me NO option to dismiss these for good.  So, let’s figure it out. Either give me control IF and WHEN Acrobat gets updated via the CC app like all other apps, or the option to permanently dismiss this message. I’m on Windows 10, running two BenQ SW321C monitors (both calibrated) and an Epson ET-8550. I’ve run into a color issue with PDFs that were created on a Mac.If I open the PDF in Acrobat or Foxit and print directly, the print looks flat/washed out.On screen, if I switch my monitor into sRGB mode, it matches that “flat” look.If I pull an image out of the PDF and into Photoshop, Photoshop warns me there’s no embedded RGB profile. If I assign AdobeRGB (my working space), the print looks right.If I export the whole PDF as a JPEG with AdobeRGB embedded, that prints correctly too. So my guess is the PDF images are DeviceRGB with no ICC profile. Acrobat/Foxit fall back to sRGB, while Photoshop lets me assign AdobeRGB and get a good print. Here’s what I’ve tried in Acrobat:In Preflight, Convert Colors seems to work. I tried googling for this problem, but every single instance of the issue was due to the user trying to open a pdf in a browser. But here, as you can see, the pdf is being opened in Acrobat Standard.I have tried:- Saving the file to a different location and opening from there- Getting a new copy of the file from someone- Opening in Microsoft Edge and Internet Explorer- Updating versionThanks in advance for the help!

For quite some time, when I select Save to PDF in Outlook (2013 or 2016), linked images do not display, just a place holder shows with a ? and I can click on it to take me to the page.  An example would be purchases from Amazon.  The images are links to the Amazon site.  They display in my email, just not when I save it as a PDF.  I have other users with the same issue from other sites, one in particular is Fedex when printing shipping labels.We are using Acrobat Pro DC.

I have a button at the bottom of the form when clicked I want it to inform the user that not all required fields have been entered. It was working successfully on a different pdf and I just copied and pasted the java script and changed the required fields. But the error message is not popping up.  Thank you for your time! Hello,I am experiencing a problem with Adobe Acrobat XI Pro (English version, North America license). Despite having installed the French language and selecting French in the preferences, the interface keeps reverting to English after registering the product.I read that it might be necessary to install a language pack or reinstall the software while choosing the language during installation, but I cannot find an official French language pack for my version.Could you please confirm if the solution mentioned for Creative Cloud apps (installing the language pack via Creative Cloud preferences) applies to Acrobat XI Pro? I am aiming to combine several PDFs into a single PDF using the "Combine Files" tool in Adobe Acrobat, but one of the files has a Warnings/Error: Certified documents cannot be merged", which is accompanied by another error message: "Acrobat does not support the conversion of one or more of your files to PDF. Please remove these files or go to Settings and choose the PDF Portfolio option." The Certified document does not need to be formally signed or approved in any way in the resulting combined file. Using the PDF Portfolio option is not preferred, as the document would benefit from the pages being in a specific order, inserting appendices in-line in sequence, as opposed to separate files. How can I remove 'Certification" on a PDF file?

How do you start Acrobat Unified version on Mac in reduced mode by default? On Windows I know about the bIsSCReducedModeEnforcedEx but how do you do that on Mac? I have a customer who its intent on starting a trial for and we just need it to behave like Reader.

Please, please, please can someone offer a viable way to turn off these intrusive, distracting and (for me) pointless blue pop up "helpers". They have been driving me mad since 2020. They seem to be more prolific lately. There must be a way to turn them off for good?

Greetings and a hearty Merry Christmas to all of you forumites! I have Acrobat Pro DC 24.005.20320 64-bit installed, and it works wonderfully.  I have been able to create any number of custom dynamic and non-dynamic stamps, and they have increased my productivity by leaps and bounds.   I'm struggling to find a means to have the stamp ask for my input on which 'radio button' to select when I apply the stamp.  I have been able to use the Javascript calculation formula which allows me to enter specific text when I apply a stamp, and that is just amazingly powerful. Try as I might I just can't figure out how to get the stamp input to ask for a specific radio button to be selected or unsellected. Could anyone offer me some help?  Please understand I'm sort of slow...thanks in advance,Ken WagonerHarrisonville,Missouri  

Hi, Can anyone tell me how many character we can insert in Alternative text for images in Acrobat professional for Accessibility PDF. Is there any limitations set by Adobe or we can insert unlimited content inside the Alternative text field. Thanks,Santhosh 

We are experiencing an issue with PDF rendering in Adobe Acrobat when opening files downloaded from SAP. The PDF files are displayed incorrectly with versions 25.001.20630 and 25.001.20577 (64-bit). We have already tried the standard troubleshooting steps: repairing the installation, restarting the device, verifying for updates, and testing with Protected Mode temporarily disabled. Despite this, the issue persists. Protected Mode has been re-enabled for security reasons. Could you please confirm if this is a known bug in the mentioned versions? Additionally, we would appreciate guidance on any available solution or workaround to resolve this PDF rendering issue.  thanksChiara

Hallo liebe Community,  ich habe ein PDF erstellt via Acrobat und in diesem ein ein kleines Bild mit einem Button versehen, sobald man über dieses kleine Bild mit dem Cursor geht, vergrößert sich dieses auf der rechten Seite der PDF. Soweit, so gewollt. Nun kommt mein Problem, diese zwei Button, das kleine Bild als Auslöser und der andere mit einem Symbol ( großes Bild ) funktionieren einwandfrei in Acrobat / Chrome geöffnet, leider aber nicht im Apple eigenen Vorschau oder Safari. Dort öffnet sich das große Bild dauerhaft, ohne mit dem Cursor über dem Button zum Auslösen zu sein. Ist dies ein Apple Problem oder hapert es an meinen Exporteinstellungen, muss ich dort spezielle beachten?  Danke für jegliche Hilfe!
