We use the Responsive HTML5 output generated using Robohelp 2019. Our security team brought issues related to ehlpdhtm.js and mhtopic.js files.For the ehlpdhtm.js file:Unrestricted target for cross-origin message - A malicious site can intercept the message by changing the location of the window. In requestUpdateLinks: Sending a cross-origin message without restricting the origin that can receive it. Unchecked origin of message event - An attacker can send arbitrary data via event messages, which may lead to DOM-XSS or other injection-based client-side security issues. In onRcvContentSizeMsg: A 'message' handler does not check the origin of its received message event. In the mhtopic.js file:URL manipulation - An attacker may access unintended server-side functionality or make the application access a malicious website. In setRelStartPage: Constructing an HTTP request URL using a user-controllable string. Does anyone know how to fix this? Anything we can do when authoring

Upgraded an existing help project to RH 2020 and mispelled words are not underlined red nor are they found by Spell Check.Preferences>"Run spell checking on opening a topic" is on.Upgraded from Robohelp 11.0.4.291 to 2020.0.156.Confirmed mispelled words are identified in RH 11.Cannot duplicate when creating a new project in RH 2020, same words are found fine.Workaround: Changing the Project Title in File>Project Settings causes mispelled words to be found by Spell Check and underlined red. I suspect changing the project title is causing the project to "rebuild" in such a way that spell check starts working. Kind of a hammer.I'm wondering if there is a "lighter" workaround than renaming the project and whether this is a bug in RH 2020's classic-project upgrade.

Hi all,Is there a way to view all hyperlinks in your project at once? I want to be able to see all hyperlinks in my project in one location, so I can quickly check them all and identify which links are 'broken'. For instance because a web address changed.  Is this possible? Or is the only way to check hyperlinks by going through the Topics one by one?  Initially I expected the 'fix broken links' option to be helpful here. But I realize that 'fix broken links' only identifies broken links within the project itself.   Thanks a lot!Hannah

Hi RH community, I have a few questions regarding the after-publishing stage. I have not published my output yet. We are going to publish the output to a (company) SharePoint location. I'm currently working on setting up the SharePoint connection. I have not been able to answer the below. And hope that you can help:When using SharePoint, would you publish using Frameless or HTML5?After publishing, how do people have access to the published output?Do only the people in our SharePoint have access? Is just sharing the link sufficient. Or do I specifically need to provide people with access? If I have to provide access, how do I do that?If we publish the project to our company internal SharePoint, will no outsiders have access to the project?Can I find information somewhere on editing topics after publishing? Is the process for editing topics the same after publishing? Hi All - What would you suggest is current best-practice for providing searchable/browsable RoboHelp output for use offline?We currently generate Responsive HTML output from RoboHelp for the help/reference system for our products.This is generally dumped onto the local filesystem when a customer installs the product, and they then use a web-browser to access it. Typically, this would be on a maritime vessel with no internet access.For years this has worked satisfactorily, but more recently we have been encountering problems which are preventing the help from working correctly. Specifcally, most of these issues seem to be linked to browsers blocking cross-origin requests (see attached image). This manifests itself as menu links not working, searches returning zero results, and books failing to display linked topics.The output all works fine when served over http, but we need it to be accessible locally from the filesystem.We are running RoboHelp Classic 2019 (update 14) and most of

I'm using RoboHelp 2019.0.14 and when I generate Printed Documentation, the PDF Output does not show any of my images, which are svg files. 

Hi. I'm using RH2020.5.71 on a Win10 machine. This is a weird one. I duplicated a topic in RH, Add_a_New_Communications_Manager_Cluster.htm, and saved it with the same name to a different folder. Then I realized that I hadn't followed my own naming convention and deleted it. During the deletion, RH crashed. No biggie. I started it back up, duplicated the file again, renamed it to Add_New_CUCM_Cluster.htm and saved it to the folder separate from the original.  The problem arises when I perform searches. That duplicate file I deleted (Add_a_New_Communications_Manager_Cluster.htm) continues to show up in search results, and clicking it causes RH to crash. It is not in RH's file structure, Topic List report, or my Windows Explorer, yet it continues to appear.  How can I get rid of this if it doesn't actually exist?

Hello Everyone, I cannot get my alphanumerica lists to "Start from 1" or "Start from a." when importing my Word document into RH2020 version 5. The lists have no problem starting over from 1 or a in the Word document. But the lists within the same topic or chapter are continuous in the output when they are imported into Word. Any help or suggestions would greatly be appreciated. Thank you, Ken 

I recently migrated from RoboHelp Classic 2019 to 2020. I'm having an issue with topics that have conditional tags at the topic level and at the content level. For example, Topic 1 is tagged for Audience 1 and Audience 2, but not Audience 3. Topic 1 also has tagged text that is specific to Audience 1 and different tagged text that is specific to Audience 2. The expected behavior is that the builds for Audience 1 and 2 should have Topic 1 with the corresponding audience text. Topic1 should not show in the build for Audience 3. What happens is that Topic 1 is in the builds for Audience 1 and 2, but the text for both audiences show in the topic. If I remove the topic level conditional tag, then the proper audience text appears in the builds for Audience 1 and 2, but then Topic 1 is included in Audience 3 build and you can search for it and find it. Any ideas what the issue is? The builds worked fine 2019. 

I am using RoboHelp 2020.5.71 to generate Frameless help.  I didn't notice this issue before, but a user reported today that clicking the Print button from the Frameless help opened a blank Print Preview page.  I tested using Chrome and Edge. I am now seeing three scenarios: 1) the preview displays as expected using the correct style sheet, 2) the preview displays the correct content but the correct style sheet is not applied, 3) the preview is blank.  I am seeing mixed results for the same URL (topic).  I can click the Print button one time and get the correct preview.  I can close the preview window without printing the page, click the Print button again, and have the system now display a blank preview for the same URL (topic).  Is anyone else seeing this?  Any resolution ideas?  Thanks! 

Hi.  A question for the forum. I select background image for the layout and generate WebHelp.  My image is not showing up.  I look at the layout.css file that is generated and it shows background-image: url(Fusebox logo.jpg);  Notice ther are no tick marks around the image file name.  Chrome Developer tools complains as Invalid Property Value. If I add tick marks around the file name manually in layout.css file like background-image: url('Fusebox logo.jpg'); it works and the image shows in the browser and Developer tools doesn't complain. Is this a bug in Robohelp Patch 5?  In Robohelp patch 4 it adds the tick marks around the image name and works as I have an old project that is generated in patch 4. If anyonme thinks it is a bug is there a way to remove patch 5 and revert to patch 4? Any way to submit a bug? Anyone who can help please advise. Thanks Kevin

In RH 2020, I am unable to see the Settings gear for publishing to Responsive HTML5. I successfully generated my output, but can't figure out how to publish it. Attaching a screenshot to show what I'm seeing.

I am using RH 2020, update5.  I have a Responsive HTML5 layout using the Charcoal Grey skin.  I see the Expand All/Collapse All buttons on the desktop layout, but I need to have these buttons on the tablet and phone layouts, too.  Can this be done?  If yes, how, and thanks!  I'm fine with using a different skin if necessary.  Yes, I know the equivalent can be accomplished using a Frameless layout and skin, but we are having too many performance issues with the Frameless layout and I need to try something else.

The following are my queries:a) Can this utility be run stand alone, i.e without installing the Robo-Help or it is always required to install the entire Robo-Help to run this command line utilityExample:RHCL D:\sukanta\workings\projects\VSTS\RoboHelp\PCC_Contract\PCC_Contract.xpj -l "WebHelp" -o D:\sukanta\workings\projects\VSTS\RoboHelp\OutPutTestb) Is there any licensing cost is involved, if we want to use RHCL only to build the output from the sourcec) If RHCL is not the proper choice for the purpose, is there any standalone command line utility available to only compile the RoboHelp source code to generate the output with out complete installation of RoboHelp. If such utility is available please let me know along with the licensing detail

Hi, Firstly, I am very new to Robohelp so please fogive my ignorance. I have an existing English Help project which I have successfully translated to Spanish. When I open the translated project, there are a few items which did not translate. The Index is still in English. Should this also be translated when I translated the project ? If not, hold do I handle the index in the Spanish Help ? thanksDave

Dear AllI have recently upgraded to Robohelp 2020 from Robohelp 10 so a big jump.    Mostly I am getting my round the changes but one thing that I cannot solve is that all conditional tags are showing the text in the wrong style.  I can see that I can change the colour of tags (which I do not want to do) but not how to make it the same style as the rest of the paragraph.  They are showing up as blue and very large, whereas I want them to blend in with the rest of the topic.I have found that there are certain words or groups of words that are also not in the right style and are randomly very large.  I can fix them one at a time which is time consuming but do'able but the tags are always large even if I create a new one.Any ideas?  Many thanks

hi,i'm using the 2020 version of robohelp and after compiling my help it contains some dirty characters like à in place of à and others similar. do i need to set something before compiling? maybe Italian characters?tks daniela

Hello, I am looking into working with the Responsive HTML5 output for the first time and I'm wondering how best to check that my project will display correctly on all devices. I want to be able to check that everything works before handing over the project to developers for publishing.Is it as simple as resizing the browser window on the PC to simulate a tablet or smartphone? That seems too easy! I've tried copying the output files to my smartphone file system and opening it from there but it doesn't display properly - should that work if the project is correctly formatted? Or do I need to publish it somehow so I can view it online and check that it adjusts to whatever device it is displayed on? All advice appreciated, thanks. 

I'm getting an unknown error in Word and haven't been able to pinpoint the cause. I get this when I try to open the Word output:My other projects are fine, just this one. Also, the HTML output is fine (I checked each page). I did some testing by changing the CSS with a project that works, removing the link to a template (same template as the working projects), and adding individual topics to a test TOC. This last test with the TOC showed some success. A topic without a variable was successful. However, removing variables from other topics that failed previously was randomly successful. I'm using 2020.5.71. When I checked for updates, I got 2020.5.0, which I did not install.

Hello RH Community,We just upgraded and find that RH2020 is not recognizing most paragraph returns when importing Word documents. After completing a paragraph, we normally would hit Enter 2x. One to get to the next line and another to create a space between paragraphs. We are finding that RH2020 is not recognizing the paragraph return so there is no space in between the paragraphs. It also happens between other styles.  We tried just increasing the spacing after or before the styles. But this would require us to have a different Word document version for RH; one without paragraph returns. Is there a RH tool for paragraph formats for before/after spacing where RH would keep on ignoring where there is a paragraph return in Word but provide spacing before or after the paragraph? This would happen within RH after importing the Word document. It might be difficult to get people to change how they naturally create paragraph spacing in Word. Your help trying to find a solution would

My team is trying to use GIT Collaboration for the first time.  I have a GIT account, SSH Key, and a created project pushed to GIT using a Private Enterprise Repository.  When I go to Connection Profiles and fill out the dialog box, I am getting an error message when I navigate to my SSH Key.  Does anyone know how to resolve this?
