Hi there,I am running RoboHelp 2015 (12.0.4.460) and Framemaker 2015 (13.0.5.547) on Windows 10.My output is WebHelp, so when I press F1 on a page in my product, I get a blank page. I decided to just try to regenerate my project, then place the help files in the product. When I click F1 again, I get a script error (whutils.js). When I click Yes or No to continue running script errors, the first page of my help appears (not the proper screen for the page on which I click F1). I have read some previous posts but some of those solutions have not helped. I did talk to Adobe support and they think it's a developer/code issue with the product. I'm puzzled because first a blank page would appear when I clicked F1, so when I regenerated the project, plunked the files in the product's Help folder, and clicked F1 again, I get script errors. So I'm not sure what I did wrong.Any guidance is greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance!Jackie
I had entered a ticket in the Adobe Tracker and I need to remove some details from the ticket since the ticket can be viewed by the public.

Hi All,I have a robohelp project which its output is responsive HTML5 and my robohelp version is 11.I am wondering if there is a way that I can upload my whole project with layout( header, navigation, etc) on the company's website? and if not with this layout, what are the suggestions? Thanks,Parya
Hi there, we recently started redesigning the online help of our product and started wondering, if there is any chance to print several topics of a webhelp at once? Like generating some kind of a PDF file of the desired topics. Like marking the topics you would like to print and then store them as a complete PDF file? I hope somebody can help me.Thank you in advance!Rebecca
Would a textbook for RoboHelp 2015 be close enough to use for the 2017 version? I don't see any textbooks for learning the program with the 2017 release as yet. I need to learn enough while using the trial version to convince my employer to invest in it. We're using RoboHelp 7 now.
Can I add a menu item here. I like to put a hyperlink to out Support Kbase?
We are trying to embed videos that are stored in our Viddler account into Help topics. The correct code, as directly copied from Viddler is:src=”//www.viddler…But, when you paste this code into RoboHelp (in HTML editor) , RoboHelp adds “file:”src=”file://www.viddler...Is there a way to prevent this? Also, and separately, RoboHelp is stripping special characters and replacing them in the URL string - for example, “&” is replaced with “&” . As a result, none of the embed links work. When pasted directly into a browser, these same links work fine.
When I had RoboHelp 2010, it was possible to create KB shortcuts that would take me to HTML view from Design view and back again at will by using the two shortcut keys. For the life of me I can't find the commands to view Design or HTML when in the Create KB shortcut dialog. (customize dialog.)Is it possible to create these shortcuts in RoboHelp 2015 Release?Thanks,- Carlos
Using RH11.4The project contains only one Topic folder (with no subfolders): [drive]\ECS Online Help\ECS Help\TopicsWhen I generate the project the SSL! folder for that help project contains duplicate folders: [drive]\ECS Online Help\ECS Help\!SSL!\WebHelp\Topics\Topics\topics.Explorer looks like this:Next folder level:Next folder level:Finally the topics:
I'm seeing the following page display in Microsoft Edge (Windows 10) when displaying the main page of my Responsive HTML5 output:This remains indefinitely. I was told by Adobe support (TCS Support) to perform the following steps:Close MS Edge if it is open.Go to Control Panel> Internet options> Security Tab> Click on Trusted Sites> Then click on SitesUncheck the option of “Require server verification (https: ) for all sites in this zone.”If you are publishing your project somewhere on the C drive of your computer then type file://C in the “add this site in the zone” field and click Add.Then click on close > click okHowever, this didn't have any effect. The same set of generated HTML5 loads fine in Edge if it's hosted on a network drive. This does seems to be related to local file/site settings, but the above sequence didn't seem to be enough to alter this.Does anyone else have any ideas? The same output works perfectly fine in IE, Firefox, and Chrome.Message was edited:
Hi, I am testing version 2017 prior to a planned upgrade from version 11, and have discovered the following problems. It would be really helpful if anyone could suggest a fix for these problems. Failing that, it would be encouraging to know that Adobe were planning to implement a fix. I am using the trial version of RoboHelp 2017 which I downloaded a fortnight ago.Problem 1: you cannot drag the divider between the TOC and a topic unless you do it very slowly (problem occurs in Firefox, Edge and IE11).Problem 2: if you move away from the search results after searching for an item, by clicking on the TOC, and then search for the same item again, the search is not executed the second time. If you search for a different item, the search works fine. (problem occurs with all browsers).Problem 3: after searching for an item, if you minimise the search results by clicking the "double arrow" button on the divider between the search results window and the topic, the search results are minimised,
I'm using RoboHelp 2015 and Word 2013, and my SSL outputs to a Word doc using my RH css. The header and footer content and styles I specified in the SSL are coming through OK,but there's one problem: there's an extra paragraph that gets inserted after the header and footer. This leaves an unsightly gap between the header and the body in the Word document.I can't figure out how to get rid of the extra paragraphs. (Except manually in the Word doc, of course, but I want to eliminate that extra step.) I've fiddled with margins and padding in the nearby styles, but that doesn't help.Does anyone have any ideas on how to get rid of these unwanted hitchhiking paragraphs? Thanks,G.
Hi,I'm having issues with formatting in RoboHelp. When I am in RoboHelp I will have the format to show the Topic title to the left of the page, which is how I like it. However, when I create a printed document (PDF), the formatting of the topic title goes to the right of the page, which is what I don't want. I have already created a MaterPage on RoboHelp formatting the topic title to the way I want. I have also created a stylesheet that displays "Heading 1" to the left of the page and have changed my topic titles to "Heading 1." Still when I output to the PDF or Word, the formatting to the topic title is wrong. How should I go about this? Thanks.RoboHelp MasterpagePDF topic example ( "Program Features" should be formatted to the left)
While trying to open TOC, I mistakenly hit auto create and I think as a result of it, the original TOC now looks blank without any contents listed. It has however now created a (Default) TOC with the same contents that were in the original TOC, Is there anyway, I can reverse the auto create action and restore the contents in my original TOC. Alternately, will there be any implications if I rename the (Default) TOC with the original TOC's name? I'm brand new to Robohelp 11 and any advise would be greatly appreciated!
When I test any projects using RoboHelp 2017, the Navigation icons display, but the Table of Contents itself doesn't. I can click the Index icon and that list of terms displays, but I get nothing when I click on the Table of Contents icon. Anything that I might be doing wrong? It always used to work.
Hi there,I'm using RoboHelp 2015 (12.0.3.428) currently. Many times I will use my older help files as a starting point for the new ones. And sometimes these help files span two versions of RoboHelp. So I'm wondering if this has anything to do with what I'm seeing in my compiled help folder whxdata.I seem to now have two versions of the package files, one with the .xml extension and another, identically named, but with an additional .js extension added on. Please see the image below.Do I still need these older original (notice the date) .xml files? Can I safely remove them from the whxdata folder and still have a valid set of help files? Thanks in advance for your help.Tom
Can RoboHelp 2015 can be Installed on the Mac OS?
Responsive HTML5 and Multiscreen HTML5 outputs did not exist in RoboHelp the last time I used it (so it's been a while). The online help I'm creating will be displayed on a variety of devices including a TS7990 (touch screen) which has a physical screen size of approximately 6" x 4". We've been using the Responsive HTML5 output to display on the TS7990. Although the output displays well enough, there are some issues with functionality. It appears that the existing Responsive HTML5 SSL cannot be updated to add a new profile for the TS7990 device. I've created a screen profile for the TS7990 and a new Responsive HTML5 SSL for this device. I will be updating the SSL to use the same customized Layout I used for my other devices. Am I on the right track or not? Any assistance is appreciated!I am using RoboHelp 2015.Thanks - Ruth Markham
I am using FrameMaker 2015 to author content. I imported (linked) files in RoboHelp 11 successfully. I modified the CSS and apply it to all topics before generating WebHelp. The problem is, whenever I update a file in RH (UPDDATE or UPDATE ALL), the "Preserve modifications for these files" checkboxes revert to all selected. I don't want to maintain any modifications. Is there a way to clear all check boxes on a global basis? It's really time consuming to clear them individually (I have 450 topics). Thanks in advance for your help-Lauren
We use Robohelp 10/15 to generate Webhelp (HTML) which is integrated by the development team. However, they now request '.JSP' files instead of '.HTML'.Is it possible to generate ‘.JSP’ instead of ‘.HTML’ through Robohelp. We manually changed the extensions of the webhelp generated from ‘.HTML’ to ‘.JSP’, it worked, but the links within the html files are unresponsive (which is obvious). Is there any way (or any script) in Robohelp wherein we can generate the .JSP documents without compromising the links within? Any suggestions (or alternatives to manual conversion) would be greatly appreciated! Thanks!Snl H.

Hi all,Firstly, the basic info. We're using RoboHelp 8 and publishing to Sharepoint 2010. Upgrading either of these is not an option, sadly.I have been publishing to Sharepoint from a HTML project for years without issue, but now am trying to migrate one of our other projects to be published on SP and the user keeps getting the same issue which causes the Publish to fail...I have ruled out a few issues including fixing filenames with & symbols (Sharepoint doesn't support them) and I've elevated this user to "Full control" of the target Document Library (effectively admin level permissions), but it still keeps failing part way through. If I publish the same from my PC then it works fine though. The only difference is that I have "site admin" permissions on the Sharepoint site, rather than just having permissions on the Library. I did another test on another RH project to a different Doc Library on the same site, with a different user, and they were able to publish without any issue
Hi allFacing an issue with Responsive HTML5 output whereby my Table of Contents appears across all device sizes and a range of browsers, apart from iPhone (tested on 6S, Chrome and Safari). The TOC appears as expected and fully functional on Samsung Galaxy devices I've tested but just not on iPhone.Could it be a screen size issue? Appreciate any advice/fix that you can offer, or whether others have experienced a similar thing. Happy to provide more detail. Thanks!
I have a simple test project that I'm creating with an imported Word document (also a simple document - 40 odd pages). I've done this in order to try to troubleshoot why the import isn't correctly creating new topics based on my "Heading 2" pagination setting.I've come to this (I'm new to RoboHelp) after my first importation attempt created only a single new (top-level) topic. In this case the entire content of the the document was put inside this top-level topic. I finally read enough to find out how RH does pagination/new topic creation on import and so I went ahead and set this in the import Conversion Settings dialog:However, after running the import again (in a brand new project) I see that there is still only a single resulting topic. TOC, index, etc are all created correctly, but not the topic pagination aspect. Generating the Responsive HTML5 output confirms this since search only ever returns a single result (since everything is contained within a single topic). What am I doing
