Hi I am using RH2020 Update 6. The PDF output is not picking up the font type for the TOC. I am using Google Font -Rubik. The content displays the correct font, the issue is only with the TOC. In the Book TOC, I use the Front Matter option to create the TOC. Is there a way to make the PDF output to show the Rubik font in the TOC too?
I created a review for a project about 3 weeks ago. Now that I've received input from the stakeholders, I went to open it in RH, but I'd sinced updated to 2020.6.0, and now the review won't open! I can see the comments, but not the text they're related to. I see the error message:Could not open file asset://contents/FileNameGoesHere.htmIs this one of those "gotchas" where you absolutely cannot upgrade the software if you've got a review open? It seems like a huge flaw in the software. Is there anything I can do to remedy the situation? (I was forced to update the project when I opened it in RH update 6.)Help!
Where can I find the patches for Robohelp 2019?
I just purchased and installed RoboHelp 2019, but I run it in the Classic Mode. I cannot get the Printed Documentation to complete. It starts runnining and everything seems fine and then it just seems to hang up. It just runs for hours with no progress.
I'm using RoboHelp 2019.0.14 (not Classic). I'm generating to Responsive HTML5 using the Azure Blue layout. In the search results, I am sometimes getting all of the text from the topic in the Search pane. Most of the time it only shows a row a two. Here's an example (with some of the text whited out on purpose):
I've migrated a RH2019 Classic project that had the feature of showing popups. It used BSSCPopup (generated by Adobe) to display the popup and a topic as the content. I'm wondering if RH2019 offers a way of creating/managing popups like that or is it up to us to create something?
Hi Team, Is there a way to tell which html files are not part of the TOC in Robohelp 2020? The only way I can tell is searching for the html file in Robohelp > Arthur > Contents > search for the file > right-click on the file name and then select 'Locate in TOC'.
Hi,I have an output from calssic project (.XPJ) format. I have another project from Robohelp 2019. Since upgrading .XPJ into Robohelp 2019 project had several issues, i was trying to copy the output of the old project into Assets folder of the Robohelp 2019 project and add a link it via text. While trying to do this Responsive HTML has failed to generate output. Is there any alternate method to add the .XPJ output as a baggage folder into Robohelp 2019 project.Thank you.
Hello, we use azure devops/TFS (version 2019.1) for our software development.we connect to this server over https, being the norm today. I just passed 2.5 hours trying to setup up a synch.Wanting to take away the burden of local versioncontrol, manually check in and check out, and just healthy backup/restore procedures, and of course the automatic inclusion of my work in the project. At a certain point, after choosing add project to connection 'tfs' , Robohelp did ask me my credentials (yessss). BUT...immediately RH (2019) pops up a messagebox:Version control -TFSProtocol "https:" not supported. expected "http:" anyone knows how to solve this? I'm not the only working on that tfs server. So changing the settings in tfs to the lesser secure http is not an option. I tried fooling RH (using http://tfs.domain.com:443/blabla) but this gave the same result. best regards Olivier
Hi, I'm trying to setupthe RoboHelp TFS integration. At first, it seems to succeed, but I receive the message - "Protocol https not supported. expected http". How can we make RoboHelp use https?I see this issue was posted before (https://community.adobe.com/t5/robohelp/rh2019-collaborate-version-control-tfs/m-p/11020539 ) but didn't get a reply. I also started a chat with a support agent that said he would need to look into it further but never contacted me to follow up. Any advice is greatly appreciated!
Hi,I have 3 individual projects that I have merged in a parent project. The Responsive HTML output is working fine, however there is no option to merge TOCs of child projects in the Book TOC. This feature is important because going back to Word and manually merging these projects and then creating a PDF defeats the purpose of single sourcing. Is there a different solution to this that I am missing? Please help!
My team recently upgraded from 2017 to 2020. We have 5 sites we maintain and several thousand assets. We were unable to keep any of our baggage files (for now) in the assets folder to avoid link breaking (we were given 1 business day and a weekend for the transition and there wasn't time for me to get thousands of links to other PDFs out of existing PDFs, obviously the system update its own cross references but the PDFs with cross links are not the same situation - the baggage files we import are maintained by 10-20 different teams). In 2017 we had some PDFs baggage at the root level which I had to pull in to the top level topic folder with most of it being in sub folders. We currently publish to a File System. When we publish, RH is failing to pick up any replacement PDFs (we do 50-200 a week). It will pick up new PDFs, and page changes but no file overwrites are carrying over. We import any overwrites by right clicking on the folder it is in and selecting Import. We have been fo
We noticed that the "See also" function does not show up when exporting (XLIF file) to our Translation Management System (TMS).In the XLIF file it is as in Robohelp design mode, but the text does not show up: There is a file with the cross-references, but the text does not show up there either:publish_mapfiles_TIKOSHILFE_ali.ali:Where or in which file is this exported?
Hi There, I just converted a large file from classic to the new UI. So far everything looks pretty good. I did notice that all but 3 of my conditional tags made the list in the new UI, even though content that has the missing tags assigned look like they are still tagged (a combo of yellow/green color). When I try to create an output the tags don't show up in Condition Expression either. Can anyone tell me why this happened? Thanks, Julianna
Using RH 2020. The documents we publish will use the same set of conditional tags. Is there a way to set this up once, and reuse the set in all my documents? Even better, is there a way to set up a template that would include my conditional tags as well as other settings to apply to all the documents?
The page is perfect from what I know as a beginnger user, has outputed before, just now it is not. I am sure it is something I am overlooking but it is a LARGE manual. Looking from some troubleshooting help on why when I generate, just one page would be missing.
Hi,I am currently using RH 2020.5.71. I am unable to ubdate the version to the latest Update 6. While installing the update, I get the following error:There aren't any other logged in users and I didn't have any unsaved work.
Using Robohelp 2019 and for some reason, can't view the TOPICS LIST. I go to the PODS, and can open the project manager, or table of contents, but nothting happens when I click on the topics. Have exited the program and restarted computer- problem persists. I was able to import a new file and add it to my project and table of contents, so I know all the Topics are still there (thank God), but the TOPICS LIST has disappeared? Any tips for someone who is clearly a novice with the program-- HELP!!
My agency is using RoboHelp v. 2020.6.76 to publish policy manuals. We're new to this version. When we update a policy manual with new policy, we typically print just the sections that we changed so we can email them to staff to review. We can't figure out how to print just parts of the manual. In the last version we used, you could pick the topics you wanted to print. Help!
What am I missing? I can't figure out how to add baggage files (PDFs) in RH 2020 and I can't find any support in the RoboHelp User Guide.
I apologize if this has already been discussed here, but I can't find any similar posts. If I edit a .css file outside of RH, will it still be editable in RH in the future? I thought I had read somewhere, or possibly heard in a training session, that if you edit a .css with some other tool, you can't edit it in RH going forward. Is that true, or did I misunderstand something? We are just beginning the process of upgrading to RH 2020 and will be moving from the Indigo layout to Frameless, so I anticipate we will need to make some changes to our current stylesheet. I know almost nothing about .css but we do have a front end developer on our team. She doesn't have RH (and it doesn't seem worthwhile to get it for her just to edit the .css), so I'm just trying to understand what our process should be.
I'm using RH2020 V2020.5.0.71 on a Windows 10Pro laptop. My project is housed on a shared network drive, we do not use versioning software. It has about 430 topics, 15 different languages, and is around 15MB. Each language is a folder. I completed a few minor updates to one topic. Saved. Compiled to HTML5. Closed the project. My compiled project had about 10 topics in Russian that were empty. The topic existed but the content was gone. I reopened the .rhpj then opened the topics that were blank. Now they are blank in my source.I added the content back into the source topics. Saved, Compiled to HTML5, exited RH.I reopened my .rhpj file. The previously wiped Russian topics held their content and appear to be fine. I spot checked topics in other languages and found several in Chinese that will now only open in code view because they are reporting tag errors (missing close tags, that don't appear to be missing at all). These t
Prior to the Version 6 update, I have been adding Search Keywords during creation or after a topic is created by using Properties found under Topic ellipsis. After the update to Version 6 (I am using Rh 2020.6.76), I am getting an error when I try to add Search Keywords using Properties. This happens whether it is a new topic or an existing topic.I can add/edit Search Keywords after opening a topic and using the Topic Properties in the right side menu. I want to ask the community if anyone else experienced this before I put in a bug ticket. Thanks in advance.
I have a really weird problem. When my generated Responsive HTML5 files are staged to our network directory, the tabs display question marks like this: This does not happen on my computer, only when the files get staged and also attached to our application. My cloud engineer is comparing directories to see if any files are not getting staged. In the meantime, has anyone seen this problem? How did you solve it? Thank you!Cindy
I'm using RH 2020.6 on Windows 10. Is there a way to see whether condition tags have been applied at the topic level vs. the content level? I see both the Topic Properties and Condition Tags reports allow you to see the condition tags in a topic, but it doesn't appear as if either says whether that tag applies to the entire topic or only a portion of it. Pre-2019 RH did allow for this, so maybe I'm just not seeing it?
