I am trying out the new review feature at the moment, but it seems to be unfnctional to me since it outputs all conditional content. I wanted the reviewers to see a specific output, for example the same that will be output to the web, but they see all the conditional content and I cannot find a setting to exclude this. Thanks in advance,Mario

Is there a way to customize what buttons you see in author mode?I don't seem to have the minitoc button that Peter shows on his website about Adding the mini TOC 

We generate html5 projects with open sans as the font. When the pages open on Mac or iOS (any browser), open sans gets converted to Times New Roman. We want the font to be open sans as we have been consistently using it in all our resources across platforms. Is there something we need to do in RH to fix this?

Using Robohelp 2019 classic.  Output - Responsive HTML5. Browser - Internet explorer . Issue - The A-Z section in the bookmark covers the text when opened in the internet explorer. Could anyone please let me know how to fix this issue.     

We have a frameless/responsive RH 2020 online help output. We have about 5 different products that have similar outputs. The product techpubs teams are looking at any 3rd party web server solutions (can be paid) that can be used to host the respective online helps. The online help should be accessible via a web URL (whatever is set). For example: http://docs.groupname.com/productname/index.htm something on these lines.Is there any 3rd party vendor/solution that can be recommended?

After installing RH2020 I have two odd results.1- random letters are bolded in the search results2- the entire text of a snippet is returnedI've attached a screen shot showing the differences.

I am following the instructions from Peter's page (https://www.grainge.org/pages/authoring/rh_tour/rh2020/authoring/translations.htm) for translations and have run into a roadblock.  When I select the language and and the translation project location then click DONE, it does nothing. It won't advance and go to the next step. Literally does nothing.These files will be sent to our company translation group as XLIFF files.

We are on 2020.3.32. Migrated from RH2020 where we were using a custom table template.Is it just (all of) us, or are you receiving constant Application Errors while trying to work with tables, custom or canned? I just selected one of the available layout options, the nasty orange looking one, and tried to do the same things as I've been fighting with in my custom table layout, and same errors and problems. 1. Can't copy a row - no matter how I try, the row inserts into a single cell and increases the total column count. This happens while copying a row from another table, or from the same table.2. Can't shade a row in the table from the color picker, no matter whether I merge the cells or not. It looks like the color selection is accepted, but when I click back on the table, the cell color hasn't changed.Add in the constant Application Errors and requests to restart RH, and this doesn't give me warm fuzzies. 

Good morning,I have robohelp 2019 and word 2013 and cannot produce the correct printed documentation. It gives me error `` FAILED TO GENERATE PROVAWORD.DOCX ''. I would like to see the steps that the program performs but I don't know where they are. PDF instead does. What can I do?

Sorry - not very tech savvy regarding scripting.My robohelp output (Frameless) is hosted on SharePoint. My company uses Edge and Chrome (Edge running in IE11 compatibilty mode for the output). RoboHelp 2020.3 (Windows). Received a request from our end users to be able to include/incorporate special characters in searches. Enabled "Add special characters for search" in the output preset.Entered special characters: 0;1;2;3;4;5;6;7;8;9Generated output (Responsive HTML5, Azure_Blue).Performed a test search.Received results. Edited same output preset.Modified special charcters to: 0;1;2;3;4;5;6;7;8;9;*;&;%;$;@;#;-Generated output (Responsive HTML5, Azure_Blue) Performed a test search (without any special characters).Expected to receive hunders of results; instead, output reported "0 results" Tried many other searches and still received 0 results. Tried other combos of special characters (e.g., just the numbers and the asterisk) and received 0 results.Tried different projects, different outputs, etc. No matter, anytime I try to define at least ONE special character OTHER THAN a numeral, it breaks search. Thoughts?

 Hello, I recently began using RH 2020. I've just generated a help system using it. When I open up the generated output from a network drive, everything looks exactly as I expect. However, when the generated output is connected to our application and opened from that application, there are numerous problems. For example, the panels for Search and Contents do not display. Also, images randomly will not display in topics. Instead, the filename of the image is displayed. Has anyone ever encountered problems like these? It doesn't seem like a RH problem really, as the output RH generates looks fine. It's like the application has a problem displaying that output. (BTW, the application was initially developed about 7 years ago. So we have an older application trying to display output generated by the latest RH.) Thanks for any comments!

Hi Folks, Forgive me if this is brief in detail, but as is often the case, I have inherited a project I know very little about.  My organization is in the process of moving a help system for an enterprise level proprietary computer system from RoboHelp Classic to RoboHelp 2019.The content and structure of the help topics is virtually identical in both systems. However searching is producing markedly different results. In the old system (RoboHelp Classic), I can search for a help entry by title and it is the first item returned. When I perform the exact same search in RoboHelp 2019, the results are wildly different, and not at all helpful, and almost never contain the entry that I searched for. Can anyone point me in the right direction? Is this an indexing issue? Or are there search settings in RH 2019 that I need to tweak? Any assistance would be appreciated as I am stumbling around in the dark at the moment.Thanks, Steve

I am creating online documentation using Katex to render maths formulas (similar to MathJax, only faster and smaller weight/less dependencies). The Frameless HTML5 export of the doc looks like this when using Katex: However, I need to be able to create CHM and PDF as well, and when I generate those outputs that same page looks like this:The CHM output also gives me a script error when loading the page. I'm assuming this is because of basic incompatibility between the formats, as I assume PDF would need to pre-render the JS elements before being created (which it can't/doesn't, obviously), and CHM just doesn't like JS stuff in general from my experience.I know I can use images instead of generating the maths, but that makes it a lot more painful to maintain and update. So, any suggestions on how I can work around this or even resolve the situation? Or any better tools that would be cross platform compatible to create these maths formulas?

Hi all, I'm trying to understand how the set as favories button works in the frameless output from the new RoboHelp 2020. I saw a training video which indicated that topics where this button has been clicked (which changes the ribbon icon from an outline to filled with colour) can be found on a list in the browser somewhere, but I can't find this anywhere. The topics don't seem to be bookmarked or added to my favorites list. I've tried Chrome and Microsoft Edge. It may be operator error on my part in using the browser rather than an issue with RH 2020, but could anyone please explain what is supposed to happen? 

Does anyone have experience in implementing the ForeSee Feedback function to their RH project? It allows you to place a floating button on all your help screens (labeled feedback). And once clicked by the user it opens up a short survey so one can get feedback. For example, "Did you find what you were looking for?", "If not, what were you looking for?", etc...  I was able to get it to work, but because of the RH html5 player, the button is not appearing. But Foresee is stating that the code was triggered properly.  We are using Google Analytics tag manager in coordination with the ForeSee survey function.  Just can't get the Feedback button to show up. it's hidden?  thank you for any insight anyone. 

I have the following line in my master page to dynamically pull the title of the topic and place it at the top of my page in the header. <p class="TopicTitle"><span data-field="title" data-format="default" style="font-size:55px; font-weight: bold; color: #35363a">Common Issues</span></p> Is there syntax for the data-field="" variable that will automatically pull the folder name that it resides in in the hierarchy? So it will look something like this "Office 365 - Common Issues" using the example above? Would end up as 2 separate <span>s with the hyphen in between. Part of the process for me is outputting to .PDF certain parts of the Knowledgebase i am tasked with building and this would keep me from having to manually put the full title in or use a new master sheet for each section of the database. Thanks

Hello,in RH2017 I used multi-level list to structure the instructions with intermediate steps and interim result (1. Level: Instruction, 2. Level: intermediate step, 3. Level: interim result). In the css it was the element rh-list. After the migration to RH2019 that does not work anymore...Any ideas? In the default.css I just found one multi-level list (ol) but I didn't find any option to create my own multi-level list.Thanks for your help.Felix

I've done some RH scripting several years ago and wanted to get back into it to try and alphabetize a test TOC (.hhc) we use for testing modified topics in our help prior to sending our help off for localization. I don't know if such a thing is even possible though.Has anyone ever created a script to do this? I did get ExtendScript working inside of my Visual Studio Code environment by installing the ExtendScriptDebugger extention and started creating a script. My script connects to RH, and I can count the number TOCs in the project and spit that number out to the output window. But that's about it as far as TOC operations. The methods or properties for doing any sort of automated TOC work seem sorely limited. But maybe I'm doing it the wrong way and am supposed to use different objects/methods? I also can't find any good (current) documentation on RH scripting, other than this very limited documentation from RoboHelp 10:https://help.adobe.com/en_US/robohelp/scripting/ro

I look at the Edu. videos and it seems that the CSS editor moves around a lot.... I search help and it seems to search every Adobe product...  Also, what is the best training video anyone can refer me to for 2020.3.32?Such a huge difference in the UI every year it seems... my background - I am a casual Framemaker user..  Thanks

I upgraded a project to RH2020 and in the CHM, clicking the link to open drop-down text had mixed results. Some opened normally, some didn't open at all, and others opened the wrong text (the text for a different drop-down link). I recreated all of the drop-down text links in that topic and now none of them open at all.Robohelp 2020.3.32.The drop-down text works in Responsive HTML5 output in Firefox and IE 11.I imported the troublesome topic to a fresh RH2020 project and have the same symptom. Another topic in the same project opens the drop-down text as expected.Workaround: After comparing the HTML of the working and non-working dropdowns, I discovered removing the script tag containing CDATA fixed the problem.I plan to fix my updated project with the workaround I discovered. Recording here for others and if anyone has other suggestions or insight.
