Has anyone published to ServiceNow on Robohelp 2020.  I'm looking at doing this and wondered if anyone had any advice, before I try.  I've read the details in the user guide, but happy to take on board any tips or things I need to be aware of.

Hello, We have received customer complaints that search is very slow in the latest versions of RoboHelp frameless output with a larger project (390 topics; 370,000 words). This slowness occurs in all browsers and OS's. Here are the symptoms reported by our users:Searches take a minimum of 20s to displaySome seaches do not completeThe browser occasionally crashesSupport team reports high CPU and memory usage; up to 2GB of memory is used Are there any suggestions as to how we can optimized the search to improve performance? Best practices on how to break out content or strucutre topics to make search more instantaneous? The expectation is that search should complete in a few seconds. Thank you!

How do we update the copyright year and text in footer of Indigo/Coffee layout. Right now it is 2019.

We upgraded our merged HTML5 project from Classic to 2019. The child projects seem not to be communicating with the parent on their "look". The upper right corner should be a search box but instead it says "Click to see this page in full context". Additionally, the header is not displaying the favicon that I set up in the parent. Instead, it's displaying a light blue dot that I suspect is the default for Azure Blue, which is what all the child projects are set to. Even if I add the correct favicon in the child project, the light blue dot still displays. I'm not sure if I'm having problems with settings, problems with parent/child communication, or both.

Hi thereAfter updating to Big Sur on the Mac I successfully install RoboHelp 2020 on a Mac Bokk Pro (Late2017). When startin the app all I see is the launch screen panel which wont go away. Do I miss some security settings?Thanks in advanceChristian

Hi all, I am using RH2019.0.14 and generate HTML5 help. We provide this help as iFrame in angular within our application. There, the original images for thumbnail images cannot be displayed (the popup). When I look into the dev tools, it seems that the help is searching for the original file in the wrong path (instead of moving up one level and then going into assets, the help tries to find the assets folder in the same level where the help file is stored).So, the help returns 404 not found error in the console saying: http://localhost:4200/assets/help/EOH/Widgets/assets/images/Widget-Links2.png was not found. But the source code says to search for the image under ../../assets/images/Widget-Links2.png, which would result in http://localhost:4200/assets/help/assets/images/Widget-Links2.pngI already asked our developer and he says this seems to be a problem of the JavaScript created by RH to unsolve the thumbnail.Does anyone know if there is a possibility to make the thumb

Hi there, I see that the reports in the Adobe Server Web Administrator does not work properly. And it is not that they dont work at all. I see that on certain day there is data but on other dates there isn't. What could be the issue - attached is a snapshot. Thanks in advance Bobby  

Using trial of RH2020 (upgrade from 2017) and it is ... unintuitive and somewhat buggy. Couple of questions/notes based on my experience so far. 1) Related Topics - Where are they in the user interface Standard Toolbar? They appear to have ported over from an upgraded topic, but I don't see how to add them.  I see mention of "Related Topics" in the help and in posts in this forum, but damned if I can figure out where the icon is to create them. The toolbar icons display in the following order: Contents > TOC > Index > Glossary > See Also > Microcontent (no RT, which I assume would show under or next to See Also). 2) What is it with combining lists and paragraph styles? Say I create an ordered or bulleted list - when I apply a paragraph style TO that list, I get double-paragraphs between each list entry in the Author UI (instead of a single paragraph). I am trying to customize the responsive HTML5 > Coffee Layout that is provided out of the box. I tried changing the colors of the background and the font but it does not apply. I could add my custom logo. But the colors are not getting updated in the output. Is this an issue with the layout?

I am trying out RH 2020. The Sharing options have linkedin, FB, twitter, email. Can we add an option where the user can save a page as PDF? I know another option is to use Print and select save as PDF. But I am skeptical if users know about this.

Hi all, I am just starting to play around with the Microcontent. I created some collections and placed them at the respective places in my TOC. When I then create an HTML5 output, a message is shown saying "Output completed with some issues". When I check the output log, there is a warning message for every Microcontent I added: "Warning: skipping external link "microcontent/FAQ.mc"However, when I check the output, the Microcontent is there and seems to be complete.Why is this message shown? Am I doing something wrong here?Thanks and regardsKarin

I am creating a file with lots of topics and sections and I need a way to expeditiously navigate this. On the order/magnitude of a phone book/dictionary/encyclopedia. I was thinking that a scrolling object such as a table(s) or list(s) but I can find nothing about adding scrolling functionality to these items. Please advise.

Hello,I wanted to check to make sure this wasn't user error or just something that can't be done with RH.  I am using RH2020 update 2 mac. I have several long topics that have bookmarks.  I am trying to place a little matrix at the top of the topic with links to those bookmarks further down the page.  In the html5 version, the links jump you right down the page to where where the bookmark is.  In the PDF version, the links have the styling to indicate a link but you cannot click on it.  NOTE:  This only happens when i am linking to a bookmark within the same page.  Linking to bookmarked items located on another page/topic works.  It is only bookmarks located on the same page.  I have tried typing out the link title, highlighting it and dragging the bookmark from the contents onto the desired link.  I have also just tried dragging the bookmark from the contents menu directly onto the page. 

How does one get their hands on RH2020? I am a subscription user and on the latest version of RH2019 (release 14), but can't see any path to go any further. The marketing documentation would seem to hint that it is out and available, but I'll be darned if I can find it anywhere.  I'm particularly anxious to try it in a desperate and probably delusional hope that improvements have been made to PDF output generation. After several support cases and "resolutions" that never last for more than a few hours, I'm growing extremely frustrated with this aspect of 2019. 

I'm using RH2019 Classic to compile CHM help files (HTML Help) and some users are unable to see the content. They get a Windows message that the Publisher is unknown so I suspect that Windows is blocking the content but am not sure how to correct it. I previously used RH2015 and didn't experience this issue. Thanks.

Hello everyone, today I realized that during the opening through an external link of a page, belonging to an HTML5 project published online, a box appear indicating thath missing an image or logo, which I think can be set to display the complete content of the published help (see image below)the script shows these elements:In robohelp 2015 in this position there was the writing with link "Show", in RoboHelp 2019 I think it can be configurable but I can't find the way to do it...

Hello everybody,i have a problem and i need some help. Maybe someone knows the answer.I installed RoboHelp 2020 on a free trial version to test some abilities. I upgraded some projects from .xpj to .rhpj. It worked pretty well. Next thing I wanted to do is to generate an output. But everytime I want to create Microsoft HTML Help data (.chm) I see RH working but when he’s finished an error occurs. I can’t find the solution for this problem. HiIs there any way to apply character formatting (such as bold and italics) to words in a glossary definition? In TW we typically bold field names, window names, etc., but I can't see how to do this in RH2020.

Hi,We have a WebHelp that consists of a number of tutorials, imported as SWF files. The tutorials were created using Captivate. Since Flash support is ending, we are looking for ways to play the video simulations in the Online Help. I have read somewhere that HTML5 outputs are only compatible with Responsive Help. Is this true? Does that mean we have to change the output type from WebHelp to Responsive Help.Also, while trying to import one of the tutorials ( we published the tutorial in HTML5 file format) into a newly created Responsive Help for testing purpose, we encountered 2 different ways of doing it. Which is the correct process?1. Project>Document Import>Adobe Captivate Demo. Hello!  We recently shifted to using RoboHelp 2020, and in fact, just today, I updated to the latest version as well. However, I am seeing a problematic issue with RH's search results that I'd really appreciate some help with. I am probably missing a setting or something, but I just can't figure it out.  We are no longer seeing any rankings and some of our results are missing as well. Please see the image below. While our old output yielded 61 topics, the new one only does 10.  I tried this setting below but all it does is increase the results to only 20 per page. Enabling the substring search doesn't help either. I looked over the Project Settings, Preferences, but there doesn't seem to be anything that relates to this.     I am still not able to see all my results, ranking,  nor any nav arrows at the bottom of the search results allowing me to move on to another page like we used to (image below).   Finally, s

Hi, Everyone. I thought I had stripped out all bookmarks before importing a MS Word doc (RH 2019, new UI). But I must have screwed up somewhere. My RH project has loads of these Word-legacy bookmarks.  I'm mostly fine with just leaving them alone. However, when generating a PDF, some of the bookmarks appear to be making the bookmarked content visible in the PDF, even though the TOC does not contain that content. So my questions are: How to delete bookmarks?Is there a way to batch delete bookmarks?Is there a way to generate a report that shows all bookmarks?  Thank you!

Hi, Everyone. I've imported a MS Word doc into RH 2019 (new UI). The import created topics that are all "pages," as opposed to "books" (screenshot):   Now that I'm creating a Table of Contents for the project, I'm wanting to nest some topics under others. But apparently b/c they're all "pages" (not books), the "Move Item Right" button doesn't have any effect. Is there a way to convert a page into a book?  If not, how should I proceed? Thanks!!
