Hey, all! Using RH Version 2022.4.179. My organization will eventually need our output (both responsive web and PDF) translated. I'm hoping to gather as much information on this process as I can, which I'm doing by scouring existing resources, but I figured I'd also ask for input here. Our ideal situation is that we integrate Machine Translation with an existing vendor, possibly SmartLing, with some human input and oversite. Does anyone have experience with this kind of hybrid approach, using both machine translation and some manual oversite? What is your workflow for that? Can you only translate output into the languages listed in the Translation Language dropdown menu? Or are you able to translate beyond that, to say, Urdu or Yiddish? If so, how does that work?Any general advice from your personal experiences with translation services, either machine or manual, and how they interact with RoboHelp? Thanks all!
Hi, We are currently looking to implement a chatbot in our help system. I can see there is some basic chatbot functionality out of the box with RoboHelp - using micro content for prescribed questions and answers, however, this does not suit our needs as we want a smarter chatbot that can search for the relevant information in our help system and present it to users, regardless of what they type (LLM) Currently, we are looking to develop an LLM ourselves and apply this to our generated HTML5 (Frameless) output from RoboHelp and have encountered a couple of issues. 1) Web scraping only works up to the first subheading in our content - and so only the top paragraph is searched/returned.2) We see a 403 - forbidden error on the first landing page (index) which prevents it from being scraped. Is there anything particular to the RoboHelp output that could explain these issues? Or anyone who has tried to do something similar who has encountered similar issues? We have
Hello everyone! I'm currently facing a bit of a challenge with non-breaking spaces in RoboHelp 2022, so I wanted to poke the community's collective brains to see if I'm just missing something or if there is a better way to work with this, before I submit any bug or new feature request. Before going any deeper into this, I would just like to mention that I did search this forum and others, and that I am aware that in RoboHelp, non-breaking spaces are to be added using the "insert special character" (the star) menu. Here is the situation : As a Canadian-French writer, I have to manage a lot of non-breaking spaces. Working for a para-governmental organization developping software for the ministry of education, the quality and accuracy of punctuation if just as important as orthograph. Take the following sentence as an example : Depuis le balcon de l'hôtel de ville, le général de Gaulle déclara : « Vive Montréal, vive le Québec... Vive le Québec libre! ». That
I am trying to make in page tab browsing using iframe in Modern RoboHelp. When I add an iframe using Insert HTML Elements, It does not provide a place to insert a name. It has a place to assign an ID. I have to assign a name to the iframe manually in HTML. (Assigning an ID does not seem to help.)I have manualy added the name "TabFrame" to my iframe. When I add a hyperlink to the page, the name of the iframe is not present in the list of names of Frames. This is the code that works: <h1>Test tabs</h1> <p><a href="../Release_Notes/2024/August_14_2024/Branding_Update.htm" target="TabFrame">Link 1</a></p> <p><a href="../Release_Notes/2024/August_14_2024/General_Enhancements.htm" target="TabFrame">Link 2</a></p> <p><a href="../Release_Notes/2024/August_14_2024/Node_Enhancements.htm" target="TabFrame">Link 3</a></p> <p>iFrame:</p> <p><iframe src="../Release_Notes/2024/August_
Hi, my team and I are using the Robohelp (2022.4.179) review functionality to review a number of topics within one of our help systems. Is there an easier way to see which topics have comments other than opening every single one individually and checking? I see when I open the review online there's a notifications tab. However, it always claims my notifications will appear there and they do not. I get notifications in the Creative Cloud that someone has commented, but clicking the link seems to open a web version with an unhelpful file. I get email notifications as well, but they just open the review if I select "View all comments." Thanks!
Is it possible to put a section within a section like the below in the TOC? When I output to a word document it puts the 2 sections at the same level even though they are in a hierarchy in Robohelp. I'm using 2022.2.22.
I can't figure out what I'm doing wrong. I have a snippet that contains a paragraph and a table.I'd like to bold the header row in the table, but when I select the text and try to bold it, nothing happens. Manually added the <strong> tag to the html doesn't work either. I've looked at the default.css, and I can't spot the issue. Any help is greatly appreciated!!!

I have a client that is using Robohelp 2022. They have built an extensive help system with about 4,500 articles in a complex directory structure. Many of the article have URLs to other websites. They want to export these with a specific format. For example, export to a text file with a delimeter (like a pipe character):Category | Title | Article content here with URL (https://community.adobe.com/) What's the best way to achieve this?
Hello,We have an online help developed by using the frameless output. Everything works fine. One of the user noticed this link Skip to Main Content above the header. Any idea how can this link be disabled?
Hi, I want my footer links in the topic page layout to be displayed on a separate browser page instead of opening on the current page. This is just to avoid returning to the topic from the footer link pages. Can someone suggest a way to handle this. Thanks,Anand

Good evening all. I wanted to know if there are a way to have 2 different CSS files, one used during authoring and one used during the output. I was looking at the output template , but the custom css used to overwite a class on output is not included in the head and overwitten by the css included in the head tags.Thanks@christele
The Responsive HTML output published to SharePoint from RH 2022 downloads the aspx files instead of rendering them. I confirmed with my IT admin that custom scripts are enabled and site collection permissions, etc., are active. Everything was working fine until 3 days ago. I have tried republishing after clearing the browser cache, recreating the master project, and the Output presets, but SharePoint still downloads the aspx files. I don't know what else to try to resolve this problem.
I upgraded to the RH 2022.4.179 version last month and just noticed that it is ignoring all the paragraphs incorporated throughout my topics. I also noticed the 'Restart Numbering From' feature has stopped working. When I go into the source code I see it is adding this - <li value="3"></li> but when I go into older topics where I've used this functionality in the past, I see this - <li style="counter-set: item1 2;"></li>.Is anyone else experiencing this madness?
Thank you! Any insight on the below : Additionally, I am having issues with importing from word and outputting to word document especially with bullets. Is there any extensive resource for me to fix this issue? Christele
I have upgraded to Robohelp Classic 2019 from RoboHELP 11. When I click on a file in the Project Manager tab, it does NOT appear to right of the screen - screen shot below. If I click View Item, the file displays correctly. I can create a file, but again, nothing displays.Screen shot below.Any guidance?
My team created an online help file using RoboHELP 11. RoboHELP 11 had frameset functionality which we used throughout the online help file. We created the following files: A title file (top file in the screenshot below)A screenshot topic (left file in the screenshot below)A verbiage topic (right file in the screenshot below) Then we created a Frameset file and linked all three files to the Frameset file. This Frameset also served as the Map ID for our online help file.I want to confirm that RoboHELP 2022 does NOT support the Frameset model and functionality as we used it - specifically the Frameset as a Map ID. If I am incorrect and RoboHELP 2022 does support the Frameset model, can someone provide guidance of how I met achieve this?
So I have read through replies here and tried some things (mostly new small TOC) to no avail. I am attempting to generate Microsoft HTML Help and it sits at Indexing references for 30+ minutes. I am at a loss and of course under a deadline to get this Help system compiled for a major release. I am exporting to the following Output Path...C:\_Help_Output. FYI...I have also attempted to output to Responsive HTML5 and it too gets stuck but when I finally give up and shutdown Robohelp the HTML5 Help appears to be generated and navigable.FYI #2...I had the same problem in 2019.14 and hoped moving to 2020 might fix it by some miracle but alas...
When I open Robohelp 2022 3.93, it opens, but in full screen mode. I have no Windows task bar and i have no Exit, minimize or restore buttons in the top right corner. Just started happening yesterday. Everything else seems to be working ok. It's a problem only in that when I need to switch windows or to a different screen or program, I have no way to do so unless i fully exit RH by going to File/Exit. Then, look at what I need to look at outside of RH and then reopen my RH project and then if I need to look at something real quick, i have to exit RH and so on and so forth. Not a good way to work. RH seems to be the only program that is having this issue.
Hi!I've got one big help RH2022.4 project with about 650 pages that is used as context-sensitive help in the energy planning tool I develop (https://leap.sei.org). I've succesfully created frameless output help, and also worked out how to show those pages embeedded within my app. Here's the issue. My app can be used in both light and dark modes, so I'd like to be able to direct context sensitive help requests to either a light or dark version of the help pages to match the look of the app. I can easily direct to one or the other version via code in my app that just detects if it is in light or dark mode and then just adjust the base URLs of the help files. I've almost got this working by creating two different Frameless templates attached to two different named Frameless output presets (named something like App_light and App_Dark). I'm just stuck on how to have the css used by each topic page adapt acordingly. I currently have one css file (default.css)
I'm working in RoboHelp 2022 and when I enter the name for a new topic, RH displays an error that this topic already exists. However when I search the project contents for this topic, nothing is found. Can there be topics in a project that are not found by searching the project contents?
I am using RoboHelp 2022.4.179 to generate frameless output. The mini-toc links recently appear to have stopped working. When I click on a mini-toc link, I now get the error, "403: Forbidden: Access is denied: You do not have permission to view this directory or page using the credentials that you supplied." The error is not browser-specific. It occurs in both Chrome and Firefox. The system is truncating the mini-toc link (the portion after the pound symbol) to 15 characters. I think this truncation is causing the error. Is anyone else experiencing this issue? If yes, any known workarounds? Thanks!
We currently have RoboHelp 2022 4.179, and are experiencing issues with the mini toc (In This Topic) where the link inside the mini toc does not go to the appropriate location. It takes you to an page within the output but not in the child project. I can revert to a previous version and have it work. So I'm thinking this is an update issue. Does anyone have any suggestions?
In RH2017, I would generate a PDF file of a project, then import it into the Table of Contents of that project so users could have a printable version of the entire project. Is there any way to do this with RH2022? I have generated a PDF file, but is there a way to include it as I did in RH2017? I am very appreciative of all the help I'm getting, thank you!
