Hi everyone,I need to output to both HTML5 and to PDF.I have two questions:1)     In the top menu (pictured below), what is the difference between "Printed Document" and "PDF Output"?2)     It seems that the TOC in the PDF output is built not from (not mirroring) the TOC in the HTML5 output, but rather, it's built from the files and their names in the Project Manager pod, and in the order in which they appear in that pod. I've been continuing my war with linking Word docs into my RoboHelp project. This has me baffled.First, I ran a Word macro that puts the name of the style assigned to the paragraph in brackets. <[AHCISListNumberLevel01]> means Word style AHCISListNumberLevel01 is assigned to the paragraph, and <[AHCISListNumberLevel02]> means Word style AHCISListNumberLevel02 is assigned to the paragraph. What I can't wrap my head around is when I look at my HTML5 output, step 1 shows the <[AHCISListNumberLevel02]> style as left-aligned with the number 1 (which is wrong) but under step 3, <[AHCISListNumberLevel02]> is indented (which is correct). I'm using Robohelp 2017 on Windows.When I use the Replace option, with "current project" selected, it works fine as long as I don't interrupt the process. For example, if I click Find, then Replace, then Find then Replace, several times, it works fine. But if I interrupt the process at all, for example, to go and manually change something I've noticed in one of the files, the Find starts again at the beginning. Is there any way to stop it doing this?Thanks in advanceLaura

Why can I not see my images folder (IMAGES_ web) when viewing the folders in the Project Manager tab?Might it be because I probably created the IMAGES_web folder when I was in Windows Explorer?Is there a way to make the IMAGES_web folder viewable in the "PRoject Manager" tab in the RoboHelp project?(I'm using RoboHelp 2015. This is a project that I opened from RoboHelp 8 and have been adding, updating and deleting the contents of project -- htm files, image files, etc. in this recent version -- 2015 -- of RoboHelp)Thank you!

Greetings!I'm starting to get a handle on the HTML5 layouts, but there's something that irks me. When the window is opened full-screen, the text gets splayed out across the entire width and it looks really fugly. I would prefer that the text be restricted to a certain width and appear in the middle of the Body page. For an example of what I mean, take a look at this: Particle Guides | Connecting over USB or see below:Is this a Master Page issue, or do I need to define the left/right margins for all the paragraph tags in play (presumably in RHStyleMapping.css)? Is there a way to define a page size within the Body frame that restricts the text layout so that it doesn't go rampaging across the width of a maximized window?

Before I adopted Robohelp (at times of RH X 5 office or even earlier?), I had a look at DocToHelp and at that time we decided for RH.Anyway, is there a mechanism to convert a given Word document, that has a table of contents (in free form) and subsequent numbered pages, into a RH project structure and derive topic pages from it easily?--Christoph

I explain the problem:- 4 years ago I created a manual with FrameMaker (may be FM10, I don't remember) and created on-line help with RoboHelp.- 2 weeks ago, I needed to upgrade the manual and have added some parts with FrameMaker2015. Similarly, I imported this manual to RoboHelp2015 as a new project (I have changed my computer). The results was very strange: The new chapter located at the beginning of the manual was very fine and some old parts was fine too up to a specific line highlighted in green in the RoboHelp project. The figure1 shows the frontier: above the text and figures are not highlighted in green color and the text/figures are perfect: see figure2. All the manual below this frontier has some problems with images: they are shifted to the right, see figure 3. I have made the test by copying in fm the text with problem images to the beginning of the manual where no problem appears: in RH the results are the figure 2 and figure 3.It seems that conditional tag are present, bu

Greetings!Apologies if this has been posted already. I searched for it, but found nothing. If this has been dealt with already, please provide a link.I'm working with a Framemaker book and I'm generating the online help in the Responsive HTML5 layout. I'm having a couple of issues with the output, but one of them is that the bottom part of the topic gets cut-off in the browser window (Chrome).I have dragged the scroll bar down as far as I can, but the bottom of the scroll bar is also cut-off. The only way I can see the bottom of the window is to go full-screen, which is super annoying.What do I need to modify so that the entire topic can be viewed (using the scroll bar) if the online help is not full-screen?--JD HickeyDocumentia Inc.www.documentia.ca

I am using RoboHelp 2015. RoboHelp stopped working while I was in the middle of a project. When I reopened the project, several folders went missing from my Project Files list. Is there a way to bring them back without recreating the folders and reimporting the content?

How do you delete an image file from your project?

I am wondering if anyone can help me please, I am new to RobHelp 17. I am using the Responsive HTML5 Indigo output and I would like to change all the font to be Arial 10. I have changed the layout font to be Arial in the Layout Customization but am unsure where to change the font size.I have changed the font size in my topics using the css file, so it is just the index and the navigation menu and the breadcrumb bar that I need to change now.If anyone has any ideas I would be very grateful to hear them.Thank youCorinne

can i sign a document in blue

Hello! I'm trying to use RoboHelp 15 to merge multiple different projects, but also utilize the "Dynamic Content Filter" for the parent project so that a user can filter the entire parent project (including child projects) when generated. However, whenever I try to generate using the standard method for DUCC, I get a blank table of contents and it seems like the parent project isn't recognizing the child projects. I'm not sure if there's something I'm missing in how to apply filtering to merged projects and then generating them? Any help would be appreciated!Thank you!

Using Robohelp 2017 (trial version)In Html-mode we place a span which contains a class.The class calls a font with the help of a css-file.The result of 'glyphicon-search' is the image of a magnifying glass.pic 1Result in the output:pic 2If we click the Design-mode (pic 3) and return back to html-mode (pic 4) we lost the span.pic 3pic 4I assume we lose it because there is nothing placed between the tags.Is there a way to keep the span in the code?A particular setting perhaps?

hello,I have a project that I converted from an older version of robohelp.everything looks like it's in place.I have conditional tags and I have created different single source layouts (printed documentation , html, etc)I would like to use the same project but translate it into another language (Spanish)what is the best way to do that?should I create a new project from scratch and just change the default language to Spanish?or what would you suggest?thanks

Hello,I have recently upgraded from Robohelp 9 to 2017 and am in the process of converting Client Projects I manage and it has happened a few times that when I do the conversion and then put the build live, when you click the link to go into the Project, the screen litterally flickers as if it is trying to load, but will not.  If you right click on the page in any location the page will load and all is fine but if you do not right click on the page, it will continue to flicker.Has anyone else expericed this type of issue and if so, how was it overcome?ThanksWade

I'm taking over an extensive HTML project with lots and lots of task topics. I see many places where a previous step is referenced and hard coded. I would like to create cross references that automatically update if I need to insert other steps. I don't see anything here or in RH help about creating such cross references. I suspect that I have to add a bookmark to the referenced step and then create a hyperlink to it. Is that the case? If so, how clunky that is. If not, please let me know how to create these cross references.Thanks.

I'm using the Adobe Technical Communication Suite 5. I've got two FrameMaker 12 books, each linked to its own RoboHelp HTML 11 project, and I'm generating two separate .CHM files.I'm trying to figure out how to create a hyperlink from one .CHM file to a specific topic in the other .CHM file. The two .CHM files are going to be in the same directory, but customers have the option of installing both .CHM files in any directory they choose, so I need to use a relative path name.Thanks in advance for any help.

Hi,My project has all the topics linking from Word documents. It has a lot of folders like the figure. I Currently Use Robohelp 9 Client to publish my documentation. I'm new to RoboHelp 11, and I am finding it difficult to alphabetize topics listed under my Index Keywords. When I look at the keyword topics in my RoboHelp HTML editor, they are listed in alphabetical order (see the Tools topic in the first image), but when I generate WebHelp the Tools topics are not in the correct order (second image). I believe that the problem pertains to new entries made to a converted RoboHelp Version 6 WebHelp application. Basically, I have been adding content to several old version 6-generated html files in the new RoboHelp HTML editor. Another issue that's perplexing is the fact that the Move Up and Move Down icons at the top of the Index editor pod, or whatever it's called, are grayed-out (not functioning). I remember with the Version 6 application, they worked fine.Can anyone offer any suggestions on how to get the index alphabetized? I appreciate your help.

I am using RH v11.0.4 This is what displays when webhelp for this project is opened. Notice that the left TOC is outdated (Release Notes for 2015); the right TOC is as it should be.This issue is specific to one project. Other webhelp projects generate and display the TOC correctly.I contacted RoboHelp support and gave them access to my desktop and a copy of the problem project. The support analyst couldn't identify why this issue occurred. His solution was to open Project Set-up pod and create a new window. Although I watched closely and took notes, I cannot recreate his result in my actual project.Does anyone know what caused this issue?ThanksJackie

What are the benefits of using a wiki vs publishing projects in robohelp? I currently use RH9/RH9 Server and  publish multiple SSL.  The company is looking to stop using Robohelp and replace our online help authoring tool  (RH) with a wiki. Are there any benefits of going to a wiki environment.  What RH features/functions that I have today will i not have by having IT import our robohelp files into a wiki?I know that a wiki is not an authoring tool, but someone must think it is and we'll still have all the functionality of publishing multiple SSLs, reports, etc once in the wiki environment.  Any comments - is this the best route?

(still RH 9 in this case - cannot switch easily) I have a merged HTML Help project.The single subprojects contain .h files with#define Länge 1803among others. In the single subproject all Map ids are listed (as blue icon).In the merged central project (which includes the TOCs of the single subprojects)exactly those MAP Ids which contain at least one Umlaut are missing (marked yellow).How does the mechanism of merging the MAP Ids work? I also have one central .ali file which has been compiled together manually,since the Redirect.1.htm:ms-its: thing was missing.I'm clueless at the moment.Any ideas welcome,--Christoph

Hello. I am inheriting a project from another developer in RoboHelp 2015. It's been years since I last looked at this project, and it's evolved on its own under his purview.One thing that has happened is that a conditional build tag apparently has some additional names (synonyms?). For example, when I assign the tag for JAA_Mo_Kan, the HTML updates to:<meta name="build tags" content="JAA_Mo_Kan,MoKan_SMW,MoKan_SMW" />This tag itself is harmless, I'm sure, but I keep getting error messages with a different CBT. The first name is correct, but the second (and possibly more?) names consist of several non-English characters interspersed with illegal characters. While the sample code I included is innocuous enough, I'm struggling with another tag. Maybe even more than one?I'd like to keep the original names of these tags, so I'd like to focus on cleaning these tags up. I cannot find in RoboHelp where I can remove synonyms.
