Is there any way to delete the entire index at once? I have a project that we migrated from FM and the index is a total mess. It's full of dozens of useless entries. I want to ditch the entire index and start over, but I can't figure out if there's any way to do so.I poked around in the project files and found an Index folder with <project_name>.idx. I tried deleting this file entirely, which apparently removed the index but left the Index, Glossary, and TOC tabs totally greyed out and unusable. I opened the file in a text editor and didn't see anything significant, but I tried deleting all of the content anyway and saving the file - that didn't seem to do anything at all.Any thoughts? I really don't want to go through every single individual index entry.

Hi, we already use this function - it is great. But there are a lot of challenges.1. Videos (.mp4) are not displayed as videos, just as downloadable file.2. Folders for a userfriendly structure are empty pages just with the headline. What needs to be included in RH that the Confluence page will have a MINITOC as it is possible to have it in Confluence directly? How to solve that issues? So we can add a command or html to the RoboHelp html, that Confluence can work with it correctly. What does Confluence need?Thanks

Greetings all, Using RH 2022.2.22.  I sent some xlf files to my translation team.  They ran the files through Trados Studio and returned a test file.  I saved the test file in a separate folder (not the RH project or the child language project). I copied the mapper file into the folder.  When i try to import the xliff file into RH, it says 1 file will be imported but it doesnt show any files in the window.  If I click OK to proceed, I get a red box with the msg: Application Error - the application has run into an error. pls save your work and restart Robohelp.   Here is the filename of the file that was returned from translation:  contents_Settings_Change_password_for_non-admin_users_htm.xlf_test-bilingual.sdlxliffIs this the correct file extension? I expected it to be .xlf ?? Any help would be appreciated.  Thanks,Bob 

I'm trying to output a Responsive HTML5 in Ver 2022 and it keeps failing. Is there a way to find out why?  I've tried the right-click option on the message, but it doesn't do anything

I published a Frameless project (using version 2022.3.93) but when using searching, the results display behind the TOC tiles.To  make mattes worse you can only select the first 2 items on the search results.See example below:  

Hello Robohelp Experts,I have this graphic display issue from FrameMaker 2022 to Microsoft HTML (chm) output in RH 2022.The graphics in the FrameMaker file are in a Anchored Frame. In the anchored frame, there are text boxes, lines, arrows and graphics (in jpg format). See below 1st pic in framemaker. When i build my book in Microsoft HTML (chm) in Robohelp 2022, The some graphics, arrows and lines did not appear. See below 2nd pic. However, when i build my book in ResponsiveHTML, the graphics, lines and arrows appear same as the FrameMaker file. See belwo 3rd pic. May i know how do i get the graphic, lines and arrows appear in the Microsoft HTML (chm) output?Is there a setting in the chm output that I missed out? Pls help!  

I can't seem to figure out how to disable the grammar check in Robohelp 2022. I'm writing documentation in Danish, so almost all words are marked as incorrect...  So how can I turn the grammar check off?

Hello all, I am new to RoboHelp, and I was wondering if there are any best CMSs that can be integrated with RoboHelp Version 2022.3.93. As I was looking into any CMS that is compatible with RoboHelp, I came across Adobe RoboHelp integration with CMS page:After going through the page I was confused, as there was no mention of RoboHelp in the description or details of each CMS. In the page (image shown below), I saw statements that mentioned "Integrates with earlier or latest releases of FrameMaker."Please let me know if the CMS mentioned in the above image or URL is also compatible with RoboHelp. If the CMS mentioned on that page is only for FrameMaker, please suggest a good CMS, or even a list of CMS is also helpful.Thanks in advance.

Hi, Everyone. In RH 2019, I'm setting up Dynamic Content Filtering (DCF). But when I generate output and click on any topic, the DCF button briefly appears then disappears. Is it simply that I haven't enabled DCF in the output preset???  I can't find the settings area for enabling DCF. Thank you.

Hi, cc: @Peter Grainge   I downloaded the 30-day trial Robohelp 2019 version; though I could see a predefined definition for responsive HTML output, I need help finding one for frameless output.Can I create one similar to the responsive HTML output, or does the trial not include a frameless output preset?   Can someone please help me on this.   Thanks, Anand

In the layout.css which is part of the template that I am using to generate the PDF, I assigned a left margin to the TOC entries. If the TOC entry spills to a second line, the margin is ignored. I tried setting some display options such as block to see if it would make a difference. It did not. Could this be a bug? If not, what setting an I missing? Here is a picture of what I am seeing in my generated TOC. The outlined area shows where it is ignoring the left margin. Thanks, in advance for your help.

I need to export all my manual content without headers, footers, images, hyperlinks as text only.Does RoboHelp have anything in-built for this, or should I look at custom solutions?

Hi, I was wondering if there's a way for deleting the Glossary button from the sidebar. I am using a HTML5 preset and Version 2022.1.188 of RoboHelp.  I deleted the Glossary from the Glossary section (so it is empty at the moment)I deleted the icon from Templates > Sidebar Still, the Glossary icon is displayed in the Sidebar and I don't have a clue about what to do next.

I've just added a Topic and want to add it to the TOC. I do not want to Auto-generate the TOC and start organizing the TOC again. I should be able to just drag the Topic tab into the TOC? When I drop the Topic, nothing happens. How can I manually add this Topic to my existing TOC?Thanks and take care

Hi all, I'm using RoboHelp 2022.3.93 and having trouble publishing via SFTP.  We've recently changed our hosting service to Azure, so I have to publish via SFTP now.When we were on the old servers I used to use File System, publish locally and then copy over to our servers because that was quicker. I was hoping to take advantage of the SFTP functions of Azure and publish directly to the server from RoboHelp. I get the following error, though:Error: connect: Timed out while waiting for handshake after 1 attemptI've set the publish profile up using exactly the same credentials I use with FileZilla. It works fine in FileZilla but just doesn't seem to be able to get past the first file with RoboHelp. Is anyone able to point me in the right direction?  I'm using port 22 in RH, as I believe this is the default SFTP port in FileZilla. I've also tried 443 which is the port used to call Azure but that doesn't work either.  Thanks in advance! 🙂&nbs

Hello everyone,I'm on RH 2022.3.93 and am working on our PDF output.I think my two issues might be related, so I'm posting them together:The manual I am creating is about 150 pages long. 1. It contains a lot of screenshots (png) - they appear fine. It also contains a bunch of svg files. While some of them appear correctly, others (especially towards the end of the document) are simply missing. Within RH, they are displayed correctly. <figure> <figcaption>802.1X RADIUS-Prozess (vereinfacht)</figcaption> <img class="framed-screenshot_125mm" src="../../../assets/images/Zeichnungen/WLAN/00108491_RADIUS-Prozess.svg" /> </figure> 2. I have created a <h5> style. No class, just h5. It is supposed to be bold, font-size 9 and margin-left is 45mm. Robohelp Suggestions, RH-2022 context:Add a Preferences or a right-click to set default for #1 and #2: Allow a user to set a default output preset generate Allow a user to set a default for Content Properties: Collapsed or Expanded .rh folder: Provide an option to Delete or Purge .rh when doing Generate Frameless or provide a checkbox in Output Sidebar to purge .rh; (For Frameless it regularly introduces output bugs - one example is that the generated help shows the help FILE name in the generated help's topic name, including the underscores). The fix is to delete the .rh folder. Hint: it doesn't take long for the buggy output to crop up. At release time I am at risk of forgetting to delete the .rh folder so it would be very helpful to have a default option to delete .rh at generate time. In my PDF output preset, I have defined title and author in the Metadata section: I wish to also use this value in the front cover, which I assume is possible because there's a Metadata section when inserting Fields: However, outputting it results in an empty value in the output: Note: title gets passed to document properties, author did not: Is there something I'm doing wrong?

Hi, I wonder if some kind soul may be able to help me. I've generated content from RoboHelp 2022.3. I have a table of contents that has sections. For some of the sections, when I click an item in the TOC in the generated content it shows that page, however, it also expands another completely unrelated section in the table of contents. It happens with every page within a section, but not every section does this. I've checked the table of contents in RoboHelp multiple times and can find nothing that would cause this. I've been told that it may be a bug in RoboHelp, but I wondered whether anyone else had experienced this issue and if so whether they had found a way to stop it from happening. Thanks!

Hi everyone, I'm creating a welcome page for introducing the web-help that I wrote, I was wondering if it is possible to add buttons linked to topics / sections. Those button are not to be displayed in the toolbar but in the page itself.  I'm using Version 2022.1.188 and a HTML5 template. Thanks! 

Ever since I upgraded RoboHelp to version 2022, I can no longer import / link to a .csv, .json, .xml, or .zip file. In the older RoboHelp 2015 version, these files resided in the same main Project Files folder as the .docx, .pdf, and .xlsx files that were also in my project. During the upgrade of the project, the .csv, .json, .xml, and .zip files were moved to the \assets\misc folder while the .docx, .pdf, and .xlsx files were moved to the \assets\docs folder. When using the Hyperlink functionality, whether using the Project Files or Local Files radio options, the \assets\misc folder is not available to link from. Only the \assets\docs folder is available. Is this a bug with version 2022? Or is there a workaround that I've not thought of? 

Hi,I'm using RH2022.3 and the Azure Blue responsive template. It appears to work well on an iPad, but when I view on a phone, any graphics are tiny.For example, on an iPad, I see:While on a phone, it is tiny.I realise they'll be small on a phone, but I need them to be a little larger than this. Is there a setting I've missed, or something I need to add to get the graphics to show as more than a tiny box on a phone? When I've had this problem on a website I coded myself, I needed to add the following code, but that doesn't seem to make any difference here.<metaname="viewport" content="width=device-width, initial-scale=1"> Thanks.
