I am currently working with Substance 3D Sampler 3D version 3.2.1 and can no longer find generators such as Equalize, Water, Make it tile... what does it replace these functions. I was on the web page where I was told nominations such as Adjustment... but also unknown in the list of generators. Please give me a solution.

It used to be the inspire tab in Alchemist, but now in Sampler it's not claer where?Any idea?
Hi, I am using substance sampler with Rhino3d on the Mac.Which channels should I be exporting?I don't want to include them all to bloat the file size. p.s. What does the little asterisk in some material names mean? Thanks.
I am a textile designer and brand new to Sampler. I'm looking for a tutorial on how to add a custom pattern to an existing SBSAR material. My pattern tiles are not square - is this even possible?
Hello there!For some months now I have implemented a pipeline using sampler and so far the experience has been very cool, but there is a small problem that is bugging the team. I created a set of exporters for our inhouse engine but every time that I restart Sampler, it seems like the reference to this exporters is lost and it exports the wrong textures (btw we dont move the location of the files or anything like that). The only work around that we have found is to reimport/replace the exporters every time that we lunch Sampler, but it would be nice to get rid of this extra step. Thanks for your time!
I'd love to be able to keep this setting between materials. It keeps resetting to 2, and right now I would like it to be 1 for what I'm working on. That's it just a feature request. Thanks! 😄
Hello,I'd like to use a trim sheet, and crop out about 90% of the texture. However, I see the Crop tool here stretches the texture to fill the window. Using Transform on top of that can squish it back, but then it repeats.Is there a method of achiving a "Crop" that excludes everything outside of the crop area, more like in Photoshop?
Hello,The documentation on presets is OK, but I'm having trouble creating one that works in Unity (Standard Pipeline, terrain). I'm not sure where I'm going wrong. As an example, the BaseMaterail has the alpha set to Glossiness (or Roughess, have been trying both), but Unity does not seem to recognize this. I can see it when I load it in Photoshop, so the alpha channel is there...but Unity just doesn't recognize it.I'm completely unsure where in the process things are breaking. Are there additional tutorials on how to create a custom export preset?
Bug report.After a crash, selecting my custom preset for export results in the wrong maps being exported. Tried changing to another preset, and exporting, then going back, to no avail.I had to remove the preset, and re-add it, to get it to export properly.
Hi Lory. I just discovered a 1.3 GB application file in my C/Users/MyName/AppData/Local/Temp folder named "tmp-13064vRSwIu10G14hAdobe_Substance_3D_Sampler-3.0.0-rc.4-92-msvc14-x64-standard-Release-21c4e279." Does Sampler actually need this file or may I delete it because it's so large? Thank you.
In Designer, I have four outputs.Yet in Sampler (only after a crash issue that forces me to uninstall the app and reinstall it), it starts out with zero outputs, and then shows more than 4, including multiple of the same one.And yet still, after export, the DiffuseSmoothness image is the same as the MaskMap...even though in Designer those are clearly seaprate flows in the graph.None of this makes sense. Why do presets not work right?
Hello,I've been trying to get custom presets right. I've imported a new .sbsar preset, and it exported once. From that point on, whenever I "share" and click "Export As", the application immediately crashes. I've submitted bug reports on reload, but I'd like to remove the latest preset, in case that is what is causing the issue.This is on the latest version 3.2.0, Mac.
HiI export sbsar from substance sampler, they did not include parameter. Are there anyway to export parameter such as roughness, displacement,...? ThankTravis
hi,I am using Substance 3D Sampler in an M1 pro macbook (ARM, Silicon) running macos 12.3 beta Monterey.It generally works pretty well, but sometimes the program closes itself, for example by dragging a custom material into the images window ("Images to material") on the right, other times with a double click on a material. I really like the program, but I hope for greater stability.

Hello there. I’m trying to use the excellent cloth weave layer but I have to work blindly since the 2D view will not display my cursor at all (I see it in the UI, bus as soon as I’m on the weave view, it disappears) Workaround : paint somewhere blind, cancel, move and paint again. Not ideal If I was on a cintiq it would be no issue but that’s not the case. Mac OS 10.15.7, core i9 32gb, AMd Radeon pro 5600M 8gb.
Hi, I want to create a material from the photo of fabric but want to preserve real-life size information. The area shown in the photo is 20cm x 20cm. After I apply the image to material to it, crop it inside Sampler and add a tiling layer to make the material seamless, I am not sure what is the real tiling size of the exported material. I can approximate it, but I would like to be sure. What is the best workflow here?
I am new to 3D sampler. Previoulsy I used photoshop filter to produce normal maps and bump maps for textures I create and use in 3D Studio Max / Vray archtectural renderings. Now that capabilit is gone from pshop and I am trying to learn how to do it in 3D sampler. I have a photo of a wood beam. 2163px H x 142px W. I want to generate normal map form it. When I bring it into 3D sampler regardless of choosing which "Image Creation Template" I use, the output results are alway a square image. IOW the normal map that is auto generated is a square and I need it to be 2163px x 142px to match my diffuse wood beam photo/texture map. I looked thru tutorials and docs but I cannot seem to find how to achieve that. Any help is very much appreciated.
I'm attempting to create a decal in Sampler. I think I've set it up correctly but I can't seem to use it in Painter without getting an outline edge and background color. Is this a bug or should I be setting it up another way?

Is it possible to add Kaleidoscope generator in Sampler. For now we can use Ps or other apps for creating that pattern but separate generator would be very helpful. Thx
If I try to send to Substance 3d Painter it is grayed out and says please install Substance Painter. It is clearly installed. Can I specify a path somewhere?
Like in Painter? For example brightness/contrast affecting only single layer?
Hi. I have thousands of Substance materials that are available in Adobe Creative Cloud Desktop under "Stock & Marketplace" > "3D." I would like to have these materials automatically import into Substance 3D Sampler, but none of them do. I understand how to add these materials manually linking to a folder on my hard drive, but I would rather link directly into Creative Cloud so that every time I download a new material from substance3d.adobe.com/assets, it automatically shows up in Sampler. Is this possible? Thanks.
