Hello,I am encountering an issue while attempting to create a 3D model. I consistently receive an error message indicating that my images could not be aligned properly. Unfortunately, this affects the majority of my images—only 5 out of 42 aligned successfully during my last test. Despite multiple reshoots, I have been unable to create a model. For context, I am using a Sony A1 camera in a professional studio with consistent, even lighting. I shoot with a tripod and a turntable, along with a stand for the product. All photos feature an unobstructed white backdrop. The images, saved as JPGs, have been processed both with and without masks. I have also experimented with normal and high-precision alignment, as well as default and sequential photo ordering, but none of these approaches have resolved the issue. Additionally, I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling the program. I am currently using version 4.5.2. Could you please advise on how to resolve this issue?
I don't understand this, but if I try to type, and only type, the word "concrete" into the material name in Substance Sampler, it will only type Cocrete. It will not let me type an "n". I can type in "Can" or "Cancrete" But if type in "can", and I delete the a, then it won't let me type an o. This is weird. Why.
Hi, I'm trying to load my image to Substance 3d Sampler through image to material and I am always stuck waiting on an upload that never finishes. I have a Macbook Air Ventura 13.0.1.
Hi, In the pavement filter I don't have the pattern style option, like in the tutorials, only pattern mask option with much less variation. Is it something new, or I missed something?
I can't upload a video here directly but you see a demonstration of the problem in this reddit post of mine:https://www.reddit.com/r/Substance3D/comments/1e99lu8/substance_sampler_paint_warp_filter_not_working/
We released some filters fixes for Substance 3D Sampler! Version 4 4.5.2 GRUYERE (Released: 07 November 2024) Fixed: [Content] Crop, Embroidery and Height blend filters
Hello, I'm running into an issue with Image to Material (AI Powered). I open a new project, I click and drag my image into Sampler, and I select the appropriate Image to material (AI Powered) template. My project is populated with the appropriate layers, but the Image to Material layer is stuck on this white/blue loading animation. The material is forever displayed as white. I am on Windows 11 Pro with an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3080 graphics card. I have tried deleting the folder at ...\AppData\Roaming\Adobe\Adobe Substance 3D Sampler and relaunching Sampler, but that did not help. I have also tried on a separate laptop, and encountered the same issue. I can't even open up older Sampler projects that use Image to Material, as they are stuck loading as well. Attached is a log file. Any advice would be appreciated, thank you!
Hello everybody,I am just having an issue with my Substance 3D Sampler. My app does not respond once I open it. Every time I open the app, it freezes and tells me "not responding" after just two seconds of opening. My device is not lagging at this time, just the app. This issue occurred with the latest version and when I tried to use a previous version, 4.1.1.ThanksKyrillos
It makes just a "photo" first and then you have to do image to material , right? So how can I make something not just 1x1 crasy visually repeating thing but rather a texture covering like 4x8 meters of a surface . A dirt road for example ? Are we not there yet with AI ? Also Is content aware fill AI powered ? I have much better lack in Photoshop for some uncertain reason ? ps. Wish we could have those AI features in Substance Designer . I find Sampler very inconvenient. My textures are always blurrier and naive looking from my Sampler approaches vs Designer. Tried it through several Steam releases before , now still same impression.
Hello, with me the stars are always so poorly recognizable can you change that?
I have download the newest version of Sampler, but i still can't not see the 3D capture function in the Sampler....
Ai photo2material is a nice idea but so far a thing you toy a few times with and then never use .Would be more helpful to have something Ai helping to fix what ortho projection from Reality capture gives you: photo and depth : 1. ability to work with big arbitrary sized original first . like 16547x5346 where you could extend the photogrammetry chunk to image borders first and fix bad patches and photogrammetry artifacts using content aware and a special "content aware move" tool that has a small 2x2 deforming mesh to match the patches precisely. Working properly in depth/height without "steps" 1a Something like super convenient Frequency separation tool in Affinity Photo to get rid of height gradients and low frequency things with actual manual input in
This is my typical image to material (AI) experience vs depth channel generated by ortho projection export from Reality capture put in Designer .I wonder can I use and improve the captured depth which is in fact a bit blurry and has lots of photogrammetry artifacts to help AI do better thing. Because in my experience I get mostly nothing like in Sampler youtube videos but rather hardly recognisable mess.
I have an ortho projection tiff with depth done from Reality capture . It's a photo with shadows and a height map from photogrammetry +lidar reconstructed surface mesh. Can I use Sampler AI somehow to a) get rid of shadows including the small ones from surface details? b) make the height/depth from photogrammetry more detailed or just less blurry normal map ? I mean not inventing the normal / height maps on its own but follow the existed height? Just by making less blurry normal map details from
What URLs do the sampler need access to in order to use generative AI features? We have it behind the firewall and the generative AI fails.
Hi,I am an educator and trying to make a 3D model of a small micrometeorite I shot with my microscope camera and microscope taking 20 or so different views hoping to make a 3D printed version students can see. I don't think there is any EXIF info - it is a microscope objective and microscope digital camera and focus stacked images - made from hundred of images - I added the information manually while importing and tried to submit. Got an error message nad could go no further. Is it possible to make a 3D model with focus stacked images and no EXIF info? Is there a program that would allow me to manipulate the images myself/manually - I think I could align them easily around a roughly oval shape... Anyway, thanks for any help you can provide! Thanks! Jon
I am looking forward to Adobe Sampler having the feature where one can remove light and shadow information from an image (delighting) to derive an albedo texture. (Substance designer's AO cancellation node is a good start but does not do the job pretty well) Switchlight Studio, does this job pretty well
When will Sampler be able to import custom meshes? Are the Devs even considering this essential feature? I am trying to create PBR textures from Photogrammetry scans in which the software only produces a diffuse image. I’d love to be able to use Sampler’s 3D scan feature but the meshes it generates are inferior to other Software and currently have too many issues for me. While Sampler can generate the PBR textures (Roughness, Normal, Metallic) it is very difficult to gauge how things look without being able to view them on the actual scanned object. Can anyone recommend a workflow for this? Does Painter or Designer have the same ability to generate PBR textures from a single image?
This is a feature request that is about reusing parts (layers and materials) of a project file in various ways. First off, layers within an SSA file: I'd like to be able to duplicate a layer such that I can easily create layers with variations. Also, if I have multiple materials in a project file, I want to be able to copy one or more layers to a different existing material or to a new one. In addition to the above, I'd like to be able to copy materials and their layers via exporting a Material as a SSA file to a SSA file of its own, and then be able to import it back in to a new file. Or better yet, be able to import via selecting an existing SSA file and then get a dropdown (or with tick boxes) of materials in it that I can choose to import. Both ways can be useful, especially when a SSA file is getting huge. Other export options means losing the layer properties.
as you can see the embroidery texture is not good and not matching, i did the same as your video and still the same problem, same problem with your file first-steps-with-substance-3d-sampler and this from your video
My partner and I are experiencing crashes that has caused a popup on Sampler startup that lets us file a bug report, however we notice that the auto-response is coming from contact @ allegorithmic.com and we wonder if you are receiving the bug reports? Windows 11 23H2 22631.4037Sampler 4.5.1 Thank you!
I am currently in the midst of creating terrain textures, and like in real life the terrain has different stratas. Think of how there could be grass on land, then some natural beach followed by a seabed that change with distance from the shore and the depth. Just to get the idea, here's an image. In Sampler we can create beautiful terrain materials, but it's limited in that one isn't able to preview how they come together making it very hard to "marry them" together, which then requires lots and lots of exporting, trial and error. I'd like to be able to preview two or more textures next to each other on the same mesh in the 3D viewport, perhaps controlled with something like the typical UX of gradient stops. Think perhaps, that you have a ruler-ish interface where you can add stops by hitting a + button, then clicking such a stop to choose a material (from the ones in the project file) for the partition, then you can slide the stop to decide on how big of a portion of t
Im creating materials in Substance Designer using sRGB IEC61966-2.1 color management and then tryin to use them in Sampler, but I cant seem to find any color management options in Sampler, making it pretty much useless for my work flow needs and at this point dead in the water. Am I missing something or does Sampler not have any color management?
This release includes a new Send-To workflow, to send assets to third party apps where the Substance plugin is installed in a single click, and new texture generators. You can find more info about this release in the release note and in the documentation for the send-to workflow.
