Substance 3D Sampler

I am looking forward to Adobe Sampler having the feature where one can remove light and shadow information from an image (delighting) to derive an albedo texture.  (Substance designer's AO cancellation node is a good start but does not do the job pretty well) Switchlight Studio, does this job pretty well

When will Sampler be able to import custom meshes?  Are the Devs even considering this essential feature? I am trying to create PBR textures from Photogrammetry scans in which the software only produces a diffuse image. I’d love to be able to use Sampler’s 3D scan feature but the meshes it generates are inferior to other Software and currently have  too many issues for me.  While Sampler can generate the PBR textures (Roughness, Normal, Metallic) it is very difficult to gauge how things look without being able to view them on the actual scanned object. Can anyone recommend a workflow for this?  Does Painter or Designer have the same ability to generate PBR textures from a single image?

Im creating materials in Substance Designer using sRGB IEC61966-2.1 color management and then tryin to use them in Sampler, but I cant seem to find any color management options in Sampler, making it pretty much useless for my work flow needs and at this point dead in the water. Am I missing something or does Sampler not have any color management?

Trying to use the Clone Stamp tool in Substance Sampler. I can set the sample point and then click and drag over the part I wont to clone over, but nothing happens. In every tutorial ive watched, the area you are cloning is supposed to turn lighter, indicating the cloned texture area, but thats not happening either. No idea if its bugged or I'm doing something wrong, but it seems like a pretty straight forward tool, but cant get it to work.

How to use the same generator not only for color, but also for roughness and heights for example? If I turn on roughness it affects the entire layer, not just the generator pattern.   

Have the Surface Relief presets been removed in 4.4.1? I've seen them in tutorials but they dont show up for me.

Hi,I thought this had been fixed in the latest version... but have just found another bug with it. When I create a material using image to material and add a dirt layer... the normal map ceases to exist. (see attached images).I was just following the "How to Use Generative Tools in Sampler for Fast Iterations" video on youtube https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YD3tPlO5h3gIt works on the video when he adds the dirt filter (go to 4:04 to see).  However, it says the filter needs to be updated, which shows that the video example uses the previous version of the dirt filter.Can you please test and confirm this is not just happening at my end.Thanks.

Hi,I have found that some materials from the Substance 3D Assets site which I was able to import in previous versions of Sampler are now failing to import using all of the following methods...1. Drag the sbsar from Windows explore into the 3D view2. Drag the sbsar from Windows explore onto the layers panel3. Drag the sbsar from Windows explore into AssetsYour assets panel4. Add the material using the + button in the assets panel.No errors appear on screen, pc does not freeze or hang. Hi,I imported an image to the 'Your assets' section in the assets panel and used it as a pattern on a material, saved the .ssa and closed Sampler.Not happy with the image I imported, I proceeded to make further edits to it in Photoshop and overwrite the original version of the image.Opening the .ssa file again I noticed the image had not updated in the 3d viewport, 2d viewport, or when exporting the PNG texture. Right clicking on the image asset in the assets panel brings up the path where the asset is stored.... C:\Users\username\Documents\Adobe\Adobe Substance 3D Sampler\yourAssets. I then closed Sampler and overwrote the image in this folder with the newly edited one.When I opened Sampler again I saw this still did not update the image asset.  I cleared all cache files (both textures and thumbnails), closed Sampler, reopened the file.... and STILL it was using the original version of the image (both in the viewport and exported as a PNG texture).Then I noticed that th

Hey guys, I have a custom script working for exporting tiff files. All the logic works and Im using a custom preset for converting my custom maps. The issue Im hitting right now is that it always exports every texture in the preset, regardless if it has information in it or not. So now Im trying to find a way to only export textures that have "Is Computed" set to on. I know I can update the script everytime I have a different set of textures that need to be exported but that seems silly. I've looked through the API documention for sampler and nothing stands out that appears to answer this goal. Also I have also tried to make calls to the export api that is standard in sampler export process. The idea here is maybe I can set the  active channels in that list and use that as a way of exporting what I need. I was blocked in this attempt too.Curious what you guys think and if there is a way to only export "Is Computed" channel that are on. # Import the necessary modulesimpor

Hello, I have a texture 8k x 4x which I crop to 2k and run Image to Material (AI) over it - problem is it takes ages and once it update I seen insane resolution of the output - what's going on?

This is what I got: from this source image (png) Default settings, just opened Sampler, dragged image onto the sphere, picked AI image to material, default settings. Not only material is broken, it uses arbitrary resolutions - I selected 2k for document  size, input image is 2k, yet it used 5k for image and I can't change it - it's greyed out:
