Acrobat Reader

I have acrobat 2020 and have lost my serial number, I purchased a new computer and wanted to transfer it from my old computer to the new computer. Can I extract the serial number from the registry somehow?

There is no option for me to change to Chinese under Language item.Can I just download the Chinese version for the Adobe Acrobat Reader direct from your website instead of Language Change afterwards to save time and effort?

All of a sudden, pdf documents that have existed for various periods of time have a little brown box superimposed over the Adobe icon and I receive a message that the document cannot be opened because it is either not a supported file type or has been damaged. The message also states that to create an Adobe PDF document, I should go to the source application and print the document to Adobe PDF. No clue what this means. There seems to be no obvious pattern in that some of these documents were converted to pdfs (by me) from Word documents, some were pdfs downloaded from different sources. The only thing that has changed was a power outage last week, but everything else appears to be unchanged. Some of these are critical documents that really need to be accessed.

I've seen this come up a few times on a google search. Attempted to delete and re-install a few times to no avail.I ran through the suggestions on this page:https://community.adobe.com/t5/acrobat-discussions/adobe-acrobat-pro-not-responding-and-constanly-crashing-windows-11/m-p/13007623#M366676 but this did not resolve either. I'm not doing anything too demanding. Literally opening a single pdf and have to wait 10-15 seconds of Not Responding before I can do anything.Running windows 11 64-bitI've tried running in administrator mode (which is annoying as you have to always press OK on the dialogue box before opening) and as others have pointed out, cannot run in compatibility mode as the options only go up to windows 8. Bizarrely, I had no problems until I upgrade to a paid version (so I could get signatures) and this is when I 1st started noticing the problem. Is this the reason? Or just coincidence

Windows Defender identifies our Adobe Reader 26.002.21931 as vulnerable. It points to the following paths and applications. La aplicación me pide clave para abrir documentos en PDF y también cuando los voy a compartir se los pide a quien comparta. El encabezado dice: desprotege el documento` me dificulta imprimir

I want to prevent Adobe from automatically opening PDF files I download from Microsoft Edge.  The suggested solution is to use CTRL+K to open Preferences and then uncheck the box titled  “Always open PDFs downloaded from the web”.  However, the screenshot below shows that this option does not exist for me at all.  Please help. 

Windows 11 machines, the C:\Windows\Installer folder gets dozens of 1gb .msi files every month? They keep downloading to the folder and never disappear. Some machines have filled up over 300gb of these files hitting that folder.  Any idea what might cause it? It's not a folder we can just willy nilly delete stuff from...any ideas? 

Hey all, I'm trying to print a sewing pattern from acrobat reader, which has to be printed as tiles using the poster page sizing option. But when I go to print, the 'poster' button is greyed out and I can't click on it. I've got the latest version and everything and the file is specifically meant to be printed this way. Any advice?Thanks!

Hello community! This is my first time posting here so I don't really know too much about posting, but I need some help. I was trying to install Acrobat Reader on my Windows 7 laptop and when I ran the installer it said it was successful, however it didn't create any shortcuts on my desktop, nor my Start menu. I tried checking in program files for an Adobe folder but there was nothing. I even checked the program files x86 folder but there was no adobe folder there either. The installer never said there was an issue and since running that the laptop has gotten slower. The laptop I have is a Dell Latitude E6440 (and for anybody asking, no this is not my main computer). Please help! And in case anyone thinks I downloaded a fake installer, I went to the official Adobe.com website to download it.

I had search index file that covered about 30,000 files. Files were local but also synced to OneDrive. The index worked as expected - fantastic resource. I recently changed to another OneDrive path. Now when I try to create a new search index i seem to get a random sampling of about 5000 files. Everything builds fine - its just 5,000 of the 30,000 though. Path lengths are not signficantly different. I'm using file paths directly on the computer - not in the cloud. Any ideas what the issue could be?

Have installed Adobe Reader on my MacBook Pro 2,3 GHz Dual-Core Intel Core i5, Ventura 13.7.4. Trying to add PKCS#11 Modules so I can sign legal document. Options for "Attach module", "Detach module" and "Refresh" are in light gray color and not operative. Tried to fix the problem with support of Certilia in Croatia, but they told me that this is Adobe issue on Mac OS with latest update and quit a lot of users having same issue for apx. last 50 days. Can You help?

Hi Everyone, I am currently Downloading PDF Files from my Gmail account to my Desktop.Up until today, I was able to Download these files no problem. Today however, everytime that a PDF Files completes downloading from Gmail to my Desktop, Adobe Acrobat Automatically Opens the file on my Computer. This is Driving me MAD! Is there any way to stop this from happening? I've attached a file that I got from a Reddit post - where other people were having this issue.It seems that in the past, that there was a check-box option in Acrobat Reader under Edit -> Preferences -> General  to turn off this annoying features. But this option is missing on my Acrobat Reader.

According to the EULA, installing or using Adobe Reader on a server appears to be prohibited.However, Windows Server 2022 is listed in the system requirements.Could anyone please clarify this apparent inconsistency and confirm whether Adobe Reader can be installed and used on Windows Server 2022?Our use case is straightforward: we simply want to open PDF files using Adobe Reader from a server-side application and print them programmatically.We do not intend to provide interactive access to Adobe Reader to multiple users.Could anyone confirm whether this use case is permitted under the EULA and officially supported?Thank you for your clarification.[Moved to Acrobat Reader by a moderator］

Hello.  I am using Adobe Acrobat Reader DC and there is no Undo button anywhere.  I went looking for it after I accidentally deleted all of the text I had spent a good amount of time typing previously!  I then typed into the original box my text was in "Text deleted "I came to this forum and tried the Ctrl + Z function and it only seemed to work on the most recent edit.  So, it "Undid" the typed "Text deleted".  I selected Ctrl + Z again, and nothing showed up.  I tried it several times.Any help please?[Adding your question to some random discussion really doesn't work][Moved from Premiere Pro video editing to the Reader forum... When clicking on the "use a certificate" menu option under tools, all of the options underneath are greyed out and I cannot select any of them to create a box for a digital signature. I'm fairly certain all of the correct certificates are where they're supposed to be on my laptop, not sure if its something I'm missing in the Adobe app itself? I've had no issues signing PDFs with this certificate in the past or with filling out PDFs. I'm just not able to create a signature block??

I have tried several times now to install an update to Acrobat (64-bit) on my Microsoft Surface Pro.  The update keeps failing with the following error" error 1402.could not open key: hkey_local_machine32\software\microsoft\internet explorer\main\featurecontrol\feature_browser_emulation This is odd for a couple of reasons:1) Internet Explorer is no longer installed on the tablet.2) When I look in REGEDIT, there is a "hkey_local_machine", but not "hkey_local_machine32".

For the last month and a half we have had an issue with Adobe reader not opening. Users report that PDF files and Adobe reader aren’t opening. I checked and multiple processes are running in task manager. I’ve ended those tasks and go to reopen Adobe but it does not launch. Two Adobe processes are running in task manager and at 0% or 0.1% CPU and 0MB or 0.1MB and do not change. There are no logs generated in Event Viewer → Windows Logs → Application or System when Adobe is opened or when the processes are ended. We’ve tried repairing and modifying Adobe but that doesn’t work. Uninstalling and reinstalling Adobe, only works for a day or so and then the issue comes back. Tried uninstalling with Revo uninstaller too but the issue still comes back. Same thing with restarting, works for a couple days then we’re back to Adobe not opening. We have users on the latest version - 26.002.21931 Any ideas on how to resolve?
