I'm experiencing a massivly annoying issue in Adobe Audition 26.3.0.79 on a MacBook Pro (M3 Max, 36 GB RAM).Issue:Audible scrubbing works normally when I first open Audition. However, after working for a short time in a Multitrack Session, audible scrubbing suddenly stops working completely.Normal playback continues to work perfectly. Audio output is fine. Only the audible preview while dragging the playhead disappears.I can reproduce the issue after actions such as:Zooming into the timeline using the MacBook trackpad (pinch gesture) Sometimes after using Shift + Backspace ("Delete and Close Gap" / Ripple Delete)Once the bug occurs:Playhead still moves normally Playback works normally Audio files are fine Only audible scrubbing is goneThe only way to restore scrubbing is to completely quit and restart Audition. After restarting, scrubbing works again until the bug occurs again. This makes precise podcast editing almost impossible.System:Adobe Audition 26.3.0.79 MacBook Pro 16" (Nov 2023
Audio experts, please help me set up the effect so that the clean guitar sound has a reverberation and echo effect similar to the guitar sound in the attached audio file.Thank you.
some adobe apps are web compatible or are otherwise able to be used on chromebooks. audition should have some form of web or mobile compatibility, even if it’s not as robust as the desktop version. being able to take at least the base tools of audition on the go would be a great improvement to the adobe suite. i currently pay for audition and don’t have consistent access to a desktop. adobe is actively losing money by not allowing its customers to use audition on mobile or in browser. i’m not requesting for every single feature to be in a web-compatible version, just the basics (import/export files, trim audio, minor adjustments to audio).
This issue has been known for years, but Adobe refuses to fix it. We pay good money for your products. FIX THIS ISSUE…When running Audition in Windows on a high DPI monitor, with the display set to any scaling other that 100% or 200%, the playhead changes width each time it is stepped through a waveform. Wide, narrow, wide, narrow, etc. 100% makes everything way too small, and 200% makes everything too large. The only “fix” is to set the application properties to override the high DPI scaling behavior, but this makes some elements of the UI too small. We should not have to do this on a modern, expensive application. PLEASE FIX THIS!
It would be great if Audition could sync multiple tracks from different sources / files like in premiere pro.We record a pod cast and use a few different recording sources. It would be great if Audition could sync the files so they were in time with each other.
When exporting a multitrack mix down of the entire session, I go into the format settings and change the bitrate of the MP3 settings from 192 Kbps to 64 Kbps. The export works fine. However, the next time I use multitrack mixdown during the same session the bitrate has been reset to 192Kbps.Is this by design or a bug? I really can’t see a reason for it being by design and it always ends up a file that is WAY too big for my use and I have to go through the process again resetting the bitrate to my desired rate.
Audio CDs have served creators for decades, but the way our customers deliver and distribute audio has fundamentally shifted. In an upcoming release of Adobe Audition (25.3) , we will be retiring the application's built-in CD authoring features. Going forward, customers who need to create audio CDs can do so by exporting their finished audio from Audition and burning it through their operating system's native disc tools. This change reflects how production workflows have evolved. The vast majority of today's deliverables are streaming masters, broadcast files, podcasts, video soundtracks, and digital downloads. CD delivery now sits well outside the day-to-day output of most Adobe Audition users, and the disc burning tools built into modern operating systems already handle the small remaining set of cases where a physical audio CD is required. What is being removed? The following CD authoring features will no longer be available in Adobe Audition: CD Layout view: The panel used to assem
Hi everyone,I’ve been doing some testing lately within Audition regarding export settings for web-based audio delivery. While most platforms still default to MP3, I’m seeing a significant shift towards AAC (M4A) for better transparency at lower bitrates. In my recent workflows, I’ve found that a 320kbps MP3 is almost indistinguishable from the master, but the file size can be a bit much for heavy mobile users. On the other hand, a 192kbps AAC seems to hold the high-end frequencies (16kHz+) much better than an MP3 at the same bitrate.I’d love to get the community’s perspective on a few things: When exporting for web or social media, do you still stick to the classic 320kbps MP3 for maximum compatibility, or are you moving towards AAC? Has anyone noticed any significant 'dithering' issues when converting high-sample rate (96kHz) projects down to standard 44.1kHz during the final export in Audition? What's your 'sweet spot' for bitrate where you feel the quality-to-file-size ratio is p
Similar bug was recorded in the following link as well as a work around.https://community.adobe.com/questions-544/searching-for-files-from-within-audition-157222Audition Version: 26.3When double-click inside an empty area of the Files panel, the file explorer pop up comes up for me to choose a file, but I am unable to. I have to change the media type and then I am able to do so.
I started a free trial for Adobe Audition through the website. I made an account, set up payment, etc. I got a confirmation email with the order number. I downloaded Creative Cloud and when I go to install Audition the only options I get are, “Free Trial” and “Buy”. There is no download or install option. If I click on “Free Trial” or “Buy” it tells me I already own it and prompts me to “Get Started”. This takes me back to the website where it asks if I’m an individual, student or business and more payment plans. No install options here either. I can get to a point where I can download Audition_Set-up, but this just takes me back to Creative Cloud where the loop starts over. Am I missing something?
Audition won't open FX3 top handle mic audio when 4-track recorded (XAVC HS)—works fine with dual-track. Workaround: exporting tracks individually in Premiere Pro, which wastes time. Any fix?
FYI, bug stills present in the latest Update (Win x64).Repro steps :1. Use the Paintbrush tool to erase some freqs in the Spectral view2. Immediately Zoom-out or Zoom-in the Spectral view with the scroll-wheel3. Bug: Audition freezes for a while then crashes.4. Issue appears both on a Laptop (Intel CPU/Gfx) and a Desktop (AMD CPU/Gfx).
Hello,On Windows, some of us install our Plugin Files & Data in a dedicated External Drive for speed and safekeep, instead of the default path.Issue:Audition looks only for .VST3 in C:\Program Files\Common Files\VST3, and assumes the custom locations specified by the user only have VST2 (.dll) files. Not sure what was the logic behind this decision, but that’s most likely an easy fix.
Adobe Audition's Delete Silence feature doesn't understand the concept of silence or sound in hour long audio clips. It'll scan and leave me with basically the entire track set for deletion. (FTR, defining silence "For more than 2000" does work, but it's not ideal since it leave a lot of silence that you would otherwise want gone). 2026-07-18
My backing track has a soft piece of piano music I want through out my project. Only the first 15 seconds is usable, because after that, the track adds other instruments that I don't want. I can easily cut the first 15 seconds out, and apply the remix function in Audition to extend this to any length I want. And Audition perfectly finds transition points that are seamless. The problem is, I want to preserve the very end of the original audio clip, and tack it on the end. It has a nice outro that ends the track. When I just use a crossfade in Premier Pro, the transition is too obvious. Is there a way for Audition to perform a similar remix function on the end of my outro part of the original, so it also seamlessly finds a way to join these together? As it did in the other remix process?
To reproduce:Open "Delete Silence" tool and select some sane thresholdsSelect ~60 min or longer of audio and click "Scan"Detected silence segments include long sections of audio, as if the thresholds were invisibly changed. The number of segments detected is also much smaller than it should be.If you reduce the audio selection slowly (e.g. from 60min to 50min, then 40min, 30min, etc.) and scan at every duration, at some point, it will start working correctly again. Number of segments detected goes from something like 26 to 498 when I shorten the duration from 34min to 33min. This makes no sense, because it longer duration must have more segments. From the behavior, it seems like when more than 500 segments of silence are present, it gives the wrong result.
Audition 26.0.0.56 does not work properly with Huion Keydial Mini on Mac OS 15 – buttons execute different functions than assigned (it works fine on Audition 2025 though)
I was succesfully running Adobe Audition in Windows 7 thru a Fire Pod to record. All was well until I finally had to upgrade to Windows 10. It wouldn't run Audition, so I purchased an upgraded version of the fire pod - Studio 1824c. They are not playing together well at all!I can start a new session & arm the channels I want to record on. However, all chanels pick up all the inputs without seperation, even if I arm all 8 chanels with only 3 of them containing a signal from a vocal or an instrument. How can I fix this?
Adobe Audition 26.3.0.79 on macOS 15.6.1 (24G90), Mac Studio, Apple M4 Max Open a mono audio aif file Go to menu Window > Amplitude Statistics Click “Scan Selection”Result: The number format of all amplitude values is rendered totally unreadable (see attached screenshot)Regression:Since I am using the Amplitude Statistics quite regularly, I assume that this bugs was introduced recently.[Moved to Audition by a moderator]
I’m running Audition on a powerful computer - 9900x 12 Core processor, 64 GB DDR5, Samsung 9100 NVMe SSD, Windows 11, etc… The Windows, Creative Cloud, and Audition installations are clean and updated, as are all drivers, etc.Audition takes close to fifteen seconds to open the first time I run it after startup or reboot. After that, it opens almost instantly. I’ve performed a Shift startup which resets everything, and a full uninstall/reinstall. I’ve also cleared the cache. The issue remains.Any ideas?
We need a DAW to create songs. It can have digital instruments, vocal editing, and everything else that you’ll need for song creation. Kind of like Logic Pro from apple.-Beat Creation-MIDI Compatibility-Digital Instruments-Vocal recording and editing-And more! Thanks for voting.
Why does my Amplitude Statistics look like this? I have so many numbers showing in Peak Amplitude and I can’t see them all? first screen shot.Training videos always show this number as something like this, second screenshot. The file is in Mono.
After choosing a time frame, scanning it through frequency analyzer window and then clicking copy all graph data, when I pasted I just got one row with 4 cells containing Freq, left, right an mean (it’s a stereo WAV). All data are just not transmitted. I fixed this issue by downloading an older version, so I believe it’s a new problem.
