P: Image sharper when "Detail" panel is toggled off, even when all sliders are set to 0

Hey, 

I noticed this strange issue affecting sharpness of a photo. Even when I set all the sliders to 0 value in the "Detail" panel, the picture seems sharper when it is toggled off. How can this be if no sharpening is applied through this panel? Usually when nothing is changed in any given panel the toggle symbol (eye) is grayed out, indicating no actions have been taken which is different for the Details panel.  

Attaching two photos for reference, at 100% zoom. Hope anyone knows where this blur is comming from and how can I get rid of it.

Setting the sharpening to "0" on a raw photo will surely result in a soft or blurred image. Raw images always need some amount of sharpening, and the default ("Adobe Default") is for a sharpness level of 40. When you're enabling the details settings to "0", you are decreasing the sharpness compared to the default of "40." If you look at a freshly imported image you should see a sharpness of 40 - unless you've changed the default yourself.
