The June 2026 update to Lightroom Classic (v15.4) adds a new Faces panel for people-focused culling, automatic duplicate detection, keyword sync across the Lightroom ecosystem, and more precise subject selection when masking. These updates help photographers handle large shoots and organize catalogs with less manual effort. What’s NewLightroom Classic v15.4 is built to help you move through large shoots with more speed and confidence. The new Faces panel in Assisted Culling brings a people-first approach to selection, surfacing Eye Focus and Eyes Open scores so you can instantly identify your best frames. New auto duplicate detection scans your catalog for exact matches and neatly groups them into stacks, making cleanup far less manual. Masking also gets a boost with more precise subject detection, helping you separate subjects from complex backgrounds with cleaner, faster results. On the organization side, AI-powered metadata filters and Smart Collections make it easier to sort, find,
The August 2026 release of Lightroom Classic (v15.5) brings a mix of creative enhancements, workflow improvements, and reliability fixes designed to help you edit with greater precision and confidence. From more refined masking controls to a new way to create rendered DNG files, this update focuses on giving photographers more flexibility while also addressing a wide range of issues reported by the community. What’s NewLightroom Classic v15.5 introduces enhanced masking capabilities with new Feather and Edge controls, giving you finer control over photo masks and more creative editing possibilities. Cropping workflows are also improved with the ability to temporarily adjust photo opacity, making it easier to see cropped-out areas and accurately frame your images. For photographers who want a fresh starting point after extensive edits, the new Render to DNG option allows you to save a rendered DNG file with all current edits permanently applied. This creates a non-raw version of your ima
When presented with a New Post screen in the Adobe Community, you are given three options for Conversation Type: Discussion, Bug, and Idea. If you were searching in Discussions, the New Post window will default to Discussions. If you are searching in Bugs, the New Post window will default to Bugs and likewise for Ideas. Many customers instinctually report problems they are experiencing as “Bugs”. It is natural to think that a problem you are having might be a bug. A bug is defined, for our purposes, as “something in the software that is not functioning as it was designed to function”. Interpreting whether a behavior is a bug or not is not always easy, however. Here are some reasons why you might want to consider posting first to Discussions rather than jumping straight to reporting in Bugs: Most items reported as Bugs are not actual bugs. In a typical group of reported bugs, only about 3 out of 25* bugs reported turn out to be actual bugs. Of those, typically 2 ou
Bugs should only be reported for the latest or current version of Lightroom Classic. If you believe you have a bug, it must be verified on the latest version of Classic. New bug reports will not be accepted for older versions of the software. If you believe you have encountered a bug, it is important to first search the existing bugs to see if your issue and a possible solution or workaround have already been reported. If so, please add to that thread. If not, it may be prudent to start a new thread.Greater than 90% of the bugs reported are not actually bugs. Before starting a new thread, please read:P: Do I post in Discussions or Bugs? When logging a new bug report, it's required by the Lightroom Classic team for the information in the report to include steps to reproduce the bug experience. Once we can reproduce an issue, then we can start to investigate a fix. Bug reports without reproduction steps will be moved to discussions. If, after some troubleshooti
Adobe is excited to receive requests for additional features you need to enhance your workflow. What can you do to increase the chances of being heard? Don't use the words "Feature Request" in your post's title. Search for and add to existing feature requests rather than creating duplicates. There is no advantage to creating a second request for any existing feature request. One request per thread! When creating an Idea or Feature Request thread, please keep requests for features to ONE request per thread. Doing this will allow others to vote on a single, specific feature and not confuse Upvotes amongst a list of feature requests. If an Idea thread has multiple requests in it, a moderator may ask you to split the multiple requests up into multiple threads so others can vote. In the event there remain multiple requests on a thread, the first item requested will be the arbiter of where the thread will be cross-referenced or merged. Describe how the featu

Lightroom Classic is very flaky and it would be good to embark on a drive to make the software more robust rather than adding new marginal features.
I experience sync issues in Lightroom Classic for some photos when I add them to a Collection that is synched to the cloud. Only photos that contain Generative AI remove operations are affected. The photos were edited before attempting to add them to a synched collection.I am running Lightroom Classic 15.5.1 on an M4 Pro Mac mini that runs MacOS 26.7.I have found a partial workaround, but it is slow and time consuming. The affected photos appear in the Sync Errors group in the Catalog area at the top of the LH panel. For each of the affected photos, I have to regenerate all of the Removal objects to completely regenerate the data; I have to select each removal object individually to regenerate because there is no bulk operation for a photo. On some photos this may additionally have consequences for masks and I often have to also refresh the masks.Regenerating the AI removal objects does not by itself immediately fix the sync - Lightroom remains stuck. For the sync to complete, I need t

With recent update of Lightroom release 15.1 and camera raw 18.1 on Windows 11, the software cannot detect people in some photos for masking even though they are very obvious in the photos (see the example attached). I haven't seen such an issue before recent update. Can anybody provide some insights about it? What could be wrong and how to fix this issue? Thanks in advance. [moved from bugs to discussions according to the community rules - Mod.]
A small but very welcome feature, but this version is very crashy on Windows 11 - in a way it’s never been for me.
When decoding Panasonic S1M2 RW2 RAW files in Adobe Camera Raw, the Camera Matching V-Log profile is severely inaccurate.Additionally, after applying the Camera Matching profile in ACR, it is not possible to apply a LUT on top of it. This is a critical limitation for the RAW → V-Log → color grading workflow.(All Bug and issues above do not exist in Lumix Lab which is offical APP of Panasonic, I think you can fix these issues according to their latest offical APP)
I updated Photoshop (Sept 21, 2026) today and the images are far more saturated than they are in LR. Before this update the images in LR and PS matched. I feel like a setting was switched on with the update, but I don’t know what.
When a video is exported from Lightroom Classic that does not have the size 1920x1080 pixels, it is scaled down. Videos that are in portrait format (1080x1920 pixels) are scaled to 960x540 pixels. A video with 1440x1080 pixels becomes 1280x720 pixels when exported. Do not scale videos during export.
Exporting a portrait video at Quality: Max (up to 4K) chooses a target resolution that is much less than 4K, with a lower frame rate than the source. To reproduce on LR 15.5.1 / Mac OS 26.6.2: 1. Open the attached catalog. 2. Select the video Portrait.mov and do File > Export. 3. In the Video section, select Quality: Max (up to 4K) and observe that the Source resolution is 2160 x 3840, 60 FPS (correct), but the target resolution is 1920 x 1080, 30 FPS (incorrect) -- it should be 3840 x 2160 (or similar horizontal 4K resolution), 60 FPS: 4. Do the export and observe that the resolution of the output is indeed 1920 x 1080, 30 FPS (incorrect), with the portrait video inserted as letterbox (black borders on the left and right). The exported video should be 3840 x 2160, 60 FPS (or similar horizontal 4K resolution), with the video inserted as letterbox. 5. Select Landscape.mp4 and export it with Quality: Max, and observe the Source resolution is 3840 x 2160, 60 FPS and the Target resolu
My lightroom classic is suddenly EXCRUCIATINGLY slow. Everything is running slowly, but especially when trying to copy and paste settings (even if there are no AI adjustments being copied). I have been waiting 15 minutes on my current image and it's not even a quarter of the way done processing. It was working fine last week. Then one day I logged in and this started happening. I have not uploaded any images or anything in the meantime, so I know it's not a system problem ( I have a fairly good setup). This is causing me huge delays in my workflow and I've had to contact clients to extend their wait time for their galleries.
Hi, I’ve noticed in recent weeks that when I am shooting tethered with my Canon EOS 5D Mark iii and Lightroom Classic, the buttons on my camera don’t work properly, but when I unplug from the cable, the buttons on my camera work fine. It’s a tethering issue and I am guessing a software issue, rather than a camera issue since the trouble only happens when I am plugged (Tether Pro cable to macbook Pro running Sonoma 14.3 with Lightroom Classic 15.5.1). Anybody else? I have trouble choosing focus points, etc. because the buttons don’t work when tethered. Super frustrating! Thanks!
On one of my cameras, because it only has one memory card slot, I shoot both Raw and jpeg onto the same memory card. When importing the files into Lightroom I want to only import the Raw files, and not import the jpegs. Currently, in order to do this, I must manually de-select each jpeg from the import. This is extremely tedious and I would like a way to de-select all the jpegs at once to prevent them from being imported. Thank you!
Hello,GPU acceleration has been suddely desactivated (denoising very slow from early Sept.)My configuration :Windows 11 Home 25H2 Camera RAW 18.6How to recover CPU acceleration ? Need to switch to Windows 11 Pro ? Thanks
