Photoshop

I have a reddish bloom over areas of an old black and white photo which I am trying to remove so that the image underneath is visible.  Any suggestions?   

Working in 2020 iMac running mac OS 26.7 Tahoe. Using Photoshop version 27.10.0. When working in Photoshop every time I make an adjustment within an Adjustment Layer. Problem seems to be related to the last (or latest) Adjustment Layer I have applied. It seems like when I move any slider within any Adjustment Layer, Photoshop is turning off and turning on interactive preview. Very difficult to explain - never experienced any such problem in previous versions of PS.

I've been using Photoshop since version one, and one thing I never understood is when I'm sampling an area to rubber stamp, why is the grain, or noise, not part of the sample? It's always a situation where all of that kind of goes away in the sample and then I have to select that area and add noise so it matches. It makes no sense to me. 

Seems like when using a stylus pen for windows 11 and a tablet when pushing and trying to move it, nothing changes and it locks it into a left click until a mouse is used. Might want to test and check it out, and yes, everything is updated, but it still has the scrolling issue.

I recently installed Adobe CC on my computer. I am now getting the following error message: Could not open picture.jpg because your computer does not provide the required AVX and AVX2 instruction sets What can i do to fix this? Thanks!

Hi everyone. The new “Light” adjustment layer added in version 27.10.0 causes extreme lag when I work on that layer (using Dodge & Burn, for example)—once I hide that layer, everything runs smoothly again (Mac Studio M1 MAX, 64GB, OS 26.6.2, German). THX for feedback …

 I am experiencing several serious issues with Photoshop 27.10.0.26 on Windows 11. I use Photoshop, Adobe Camera Raw and Bridge professionally for architectural/interior photography, often working with large files and large batches of images.I have been troubleshooting this extensively and have now been able to reproduce some of the problems with controlled A/B tests. Immediately following the recent MacOS update Golden Gate 27.0 new bugs appear with ACR and PS 27.9.0 including masking issues in ACR and Photoshop freezing.Regarding ACR, when I attempt to create a mask by right clicking on the icon, the program repeatedly doesn’t allow me to select a specific mask instead selecting one for me, one that’s completely unrelated to my workflow. This happens with nearly every image, sometimes four or five times, before I’m able to create the mask I want.Regarding ACR, the program occasionally freezes and I’m not able to access any menus at all, including Save Image. I can only force quit the program. Any suggestions? Can I delete PS 27.9.0 and load an earlier version that works ? 

Since today’s Photoshop 27.10 update, the “Edit in Photoshop” command in Lightroom Classic 15.5.1 is not working anymore for me. Photoshop opens automatically as before (if it’s not open yet) but no image is being loaded. Downgrading Photoshop to 27.9.1 resolves the issue and the “Edit in Photoshop” functionality is back to normal. I also tried to change the external editing file format from TIFF to PSD or PSB but this didn’t make any difference. Anyone else facing the same issue? I’m running macOS Tahoe 26.6.2. Closing and re-opening LRC and PS didn’t solve the problem, rebooting the machine also didn’t show any effect. P.S.: I posted this in the Photoshop forum as well

Environment: OS: Windows 11 64-bit CPU: Intel Core i7-14700K GPU: NVIDIA RTX 2000 Ada Generation Photoshop Version: 27.10 Driver: NVIDIA Studio Driver Issue Description: Immediately after updating to Photoshop v27.10, severe UI and canvas rendering issues began occurring during normal editing. The symptoms include: Rapid flickering where UI elements and the canvas temporarily disappear and instantly reappear (no black or white flashes). When navigating menus (e.g., Preferences), the text briefly vanishes and comes back. While editing, the active photo disappears from the canvas and instantly reappears. The flickering happens extremely fast, rendering the application completely unusable for daily work. This issue is isolated to Photoshop and does not occur in other applications. Latest Br/ACR/PS on Lenovo Ideapad PRO 5i. Profiled and color managed workflow.Open raw file into ACR, embed Adobe rgb, open in PS with Adobe rgb workspace and colors have about 20-25% more saturation and contrast (and slight cyan colorshift?).My main editing is done on an older HP desktop and Dell monitor, works fine with same color settings. Same ACR and PS release, but earlier Bridge - 14.1.9.328 vs 15.1.8.7Any ideas why the Lenovo PS isn’t working right?

Since updating to Photoshop 27.10, I can no longer find the Warp tool icon and Reset icons where they used to be. It seems we now have to go through menus to access these functions, which adds extra clicks and slows down the workflow.Could you explain why this change was made? These commands are used frequently, and making them harder to access feels like a step backward in terms of usability and productivity.Could the options bar be made customizable, or could these icons be restored somewhere easily accessible? I’d also like to know whether this is an intentional change or a display issue in this version.

Hi,I’ve been having an issue in Photoshop where the adjustments tab periodically becomes greyed out, making it impossible to add an adjustment layer by clicking on the the appropriate type. Restarting Photoshop resolves the issue temporarily. I’ve tried a number of troubleshooting steps including trashing and rebuilding preferences and reinstalling the application but nothing has resolved it. Photoshop 27.5.0. MacBook Pro M3, MacOS 26.4.1. Any help to resolve this would be much appreciated. 

I am looking to purchase a Dell desktop computer for use with Creative Cloud for Photographers (both Photoshop and Lightroom). Can you give me some guidance as to system requirements for the desktop and the monitor for decent performance? Any caveats to avoid? Do I need to go with a Dell Tower? I am not a professional photographer but am serious about my photography. Thanks.

I'm experiencing a persistent issue with the Gemini 3.1 (Nano Banana 2) partner model in the Photoshop 2026 AI Assisted Editor (Beta) with Firefly. It worked normally yesterday (Sep 24) but stopped working today (Sep 25) and has been failing for several hours now. WHAT HAPPENSEvery generation attempt using Gemini 3.1 (Nano Banana 2) fails with: "Something went wrong. Situation: Camera Raw doesn’t show the blue highlights with filters applied to a photo. So if I apply a filter to a photo in Camera Raw it highlights blue, but once I close the photo again and open it again the filter is still applied to the photo but the blue highlight is gone. So there is no way for me to see which filter I previously applied. This sometimes also happens when I just switch between the open images in Camera Raw. My system:MacBook Pro Pro M3 Mac OS 15.8.0Photoshop 27.0.Camera Raw 18.6. Photo in example below definitely had two filters applied but no blue highlights show up if I open the raw file again, even though the filters are still applied.   

Hi,Expanding the image while using the Crop Tool (the color in this case, about a solid gray) using Content Aware Fill - makes wrong color, in my case after expanding a lighter frame at the previous image edge borders and a lighter gray color is used for the expanded areas. Is this a known bug? I’ve downgraded to 27.8, no issues there.Thank you,Patrik
