Hello to all and thanks very much for helping me to get " up to speed " on Premiere Pro CC. . . .. Problem : I've set the video default transition " cross dissolve " in the effect panel but it does not function when I use the keyboard shortcut Ctrl + D on the PC . Thanks very much M T D , but this is two things that I now have to do in order to have the clip's audio play as needed , meanwhile I've used other NLE's in which the clip played correctly in it's respective channels by just dropping it into the timeline.

Whose problem is this ? When the timeline cursor is at the beginning of the timeline and I press play ( the space bar ) the clip will play but the playhead ( current time indicator ) " freezes " at the start of the clip and will not move , meanwhile the playhead is in motion in the program monitor .

Thanks again for the help from everyone but a problem still exist although I have changed the settings. I have a clip in the timeline that only has one audio track CH.1 but the timeline audio meters are still showing audio as coming from both channels Ch.1 / 2 . How is this possible when there is audio on only one track . . . ch.1 ?

I have some clips with " mixed audio tracks " , Ch.1 has narration and Ch.2 has music but like I said both tracks are mixed together to form one (1) single track only. Thanks to everyone , I'm coming along with Adobe Premiere CC slowly but surely , but there's still another question to be answered. I've got a BPAV folder with approx: 50 clips but in my workflow I'll only need about 10 of those clips. Pardon me if I've ask this question before , but is there a way to copy only the 10 clips that I need instead of copying the entire BPAV folder with all 50 clips ?

I have got two (2) Sony S x S cards ( BPAV ) folders that need to be copied into the same project . I am able to copy SxS card one but when I try to copy S x S card 2 into the very same project . . . . . . it completely erases the clips that have been copied in to the first BPAV folder.
