that's another great explanation but I think we are drifting away from the main topic. I need a solution for the switch in my Photoshop from working to not working. it has worked and now it doesn't anymore. The gray scale was totally fine last time. On this particular once it is a problem. and now I found out that one of my friends does not have the issue with the same file. And no it is not my monitor. I views the same thing on 4 different monitors. And two of them are calibrated.

Hello, how can I increase the size of the text in LRC?
By @christopheb53695260
You can adjust the font size in Preferences > Interface.
If you're on Windows, there are quite a few sizes to choose from. If you're on a Mac, the choices are more limited.

I had the same problem, now resolved. Import images into Library module in the normal way, shift click selected images in ther normal way. Look across to the Metadata Panel on the right just brelow the Metadata Preset button are 2 small boxes "Target Photo " and "Selected Photo's". Click on Selected Photo's. That stays set every time a number of images are selected from now on.

Do not engage. I've forwarded this to the Forum Team to review. I agree with @dj_paige that this is very suspicious.

Since you cannot open a raw file directly into Photoshop - it has to go through ACR first - it sounds to me like you're not opening the DNG, but a thumbnail/preview. Are you dragging/dropping? From where?

I'm glad that fixed it for you, but reinstalling rarely fixes anything.
I take it that you chose to keep the preferences when uninstalling?
I have used PS for over twenty years (not a heavy user, I do most of my work in LrC), and have only had to reset the preferences once. I just deleted the preferences file, which fixed the issue, and everything was in the right place when I relaunched PS.

I would agree, when I join my photos together it is EXACTLY the middle photo. Super frustrating when I am trying to do real estate on a sunny snowy day, all windows are now overblown because it will not work.

I've had Lightroom 6 for several years with a Nikon D7500 and everything worked wonderfully when I had Windows 10 on my computer. Now I have Windows 11, so I had to reinstall Lightroom 6 from my CD. I still have the same Nikon D7500 camera but Lightroom no longer reads .nef files. Error message: "The file is not recognized by Lightroom's Raw format support." This type of message usually appears when you change your camera but it's not my case since 2022, I have the Nikon D7500 with Lightroom 6 and everything was fine. Why after switching from Windows 10 to Windows 11 it doesn't work anymore?
By @diane_1954
The Nikon D7500 requires Lightroom 6.12 or later, and when you install from the CD you will get version 6.0, which cannot read the D7500 files. You probably had version 6.12 or later installed before you upgraded to Windows 11.
Here's a link to download the 6.14 installer for Windows. The page takes a long time to load, so be patient.

Different raw converters will have different initial renderings. The initial rendering is just a starting point.
The image rendered by Serif Labs seems to be using a heavy vignette, which I imagine you can disable.
I have never used Affinity, so I can't provide you with any details.
The Apple Core version creates a version that needs virtually no post work, providing it was correctly exposted in the first place! I wanted to see how Adobe's version works.
To see how Adobe applications render your raw files, you have to open them in in Camera Raw or Lightroom/Lightroom Classic. Using the DNG converter does not affect the rendering of the image.
The DNG converter does not work on individual files, it only works with folders.
Select a folder that contains raw files, and that's it. You will not see any files in the Select folder dialog.
Ignore "No items match your search".

I am having similar issue with LR Classic 14.1.1 on a Windows 11 laptop. I was trying to update the catalog from my old laptop, but kept getting stuck, so I tried from scratch (>30,000 photos from over 20 years) with a clean slate to ID the problem. It would appear that if there is a video file in a folder, it will trigger some issue with sync. Different workarounds that seem to work: 1. In the import dialog, if I go to a folder with videos (for the first time), sort by media type, then unselect the videos, then the photos would sync successfully. However, if I click multi-select folders after this (i.e. if there is any "interaction" with a folder with video files), then the import would hang. 2. If go to Windows Folder Explorer and I remove the videos from the folder, then the rest of the photos would sync quickly. 3. As an alternative to 2, if I go to Windows Folder Explorer and move a videos into the subfolder, then go to the import diaglog in LRC and unselect the video files, that also works (even in if I have "interacted" with folders with video files as described in #1 above) This is all very strange and frustrating. The workawrounds are not straighforward and are labour intensive. It is as if any time LRC has to deal with a video file, some kind of error would get triggered. Any additional insight on how to make this work would be appreciated. Thanks!

@jeffb56004601 I don't use an iPad either, but I searched and -
AI on the Brave browser told me this
"Photoshop on iPad does not support ICC profiles directly. To manage color profiles with Photoshop on iPad, you would typically need to ensure that your ICC profiles are installed on your computer and then sync your work between the desktop and iPad versions of Photoshop. This allows for consistent color management across devices. For detailed instructions on installing ICC profiles on your computer, you can refer to guides available online or Adobe’s official documentation."
IF that's right, it looks like what you want may not be possible.
Where did those 'prophoto' colourspace images originate? That’s the place to fix the issue I guess
I hope this helps neil barstow, colourmanagement net - adobe forum volunteer - co-author: 'getting colour right' google me "neil barstow colourmanagement" for lots of free articles on colour management Help others by clicking "Correct Answer" if the question is answered. this is by far the most stupid answer that i have seen, keep denying the problem lies within Adobe but push it to user error. Irresponsible at all.

[This post contains formatting and embedded images that don't appear in email. View the post in your Web browser.] @Snickers-+, Beware that many software and hardware vendors and print service providers use the terms DPI and PPI interchangeably, while most imaging experts make a distinction between PPI and DPI. That distinction is quite sensible but not as widely observed as the experts would prefer. For example, my Epson Scan utility uses DPI for what the experts call PPI. Adobe, Apple, and Microsoft documentation is littered with references to DPI, where the experts would use PPI: https://www.google.com/search?q=dpi+site%3Ahelpx.adobe.com&rlz=1C5CHFA_enUS1064US1064&oq=dpi+site%3Ahelpx.adobe.com&gs_lcrp=EgZjaHJvbWUyBggAEEUYOdIBCDUzNDBqMGoyqAIAsAIA&sourceid=chrome&ie=UTF-8 https://www.google.com/search?q=dpi+site%3Ahelp.apple.com&rlz=1C5CHFA_enUS1064US1064&oq=dpi+site%3Ahelp.apple.com&gs_lcrp=EgZjaHJvbWUyBggAEEUYOdIBCDk2OTBqMGo5qAIAsAIA&sourceid=chrome&ie=UTF-8 https://www.google.com/search?q=dpi+site%3Asupport.microsoft.com&sca_esv=db7ed66b9cb86445&rlz=1C5CHFA_enUS1064US1064&sxsrf=ADLYWIKW-8mhJHCQR62AWSCqevgTOq0kog%3A1736807761464&ei=UZWFZ9qJHMnCkPIPsobqmA0&ved=0ahUKEwia9qiN4fOKAxVJIUQIHTKDGtMQ4dUDCBA&uact=5&oq=dpi+site%3Asupport.microsoft.com&gs_lp=Egxnd3Mtd2l6LXNlcnAiHmRwaSBzaXRlOnN1cHBvcnQubWljcm9zb2Z0LmNvbUjiMVAAWJAwcAB4AZABAJgBcKABvQ2qAQQyOS4xuAEDyAEA-AEBmAIJoALZBcICBBAjGCfCAgoQIxiABBgnGIoFwgIREC4YgAQYsQMY0QMYgwEYxwHCAgUQABiABMICDhAuGIAEGLEDGNEDGMcBwgILEAAYgAQYsQMYgwHCAgUQLhiABMICChAAGIAEGEMYigXCAg4QLhiABBjHARiOBRivAcICEBAAGIAEGLEDGIMBGBQYhwLCAhAQABiABBixAxhDGIMBGIoFwgIIEAAYgAQYsQPCAg0QABiABBixAxhDGIoFwgILEC4YgAQYxwEYrwHCAgcQABiABBgKwgIIEAAYFhgKGB7CAgYQABgWGB6YAwCSBwM4LjGgB5lj&sclient=gws-wiz-serp

Using LR Classic 14.1.1 on MacBook Pro 15.1.1 with 64 GB sometime in the last couple of updates I noticed two things. First, the right arrow wouldn't advance in Develop module and oftentimes, the image had not been updated from the pruor edits. Once I went back to Library and advanced the images, often the edit history would not be applied or there was a noticeable lag - the original raw image displaying and then the edits would be applied. A good percentage of the time, I would have to go back and click on the history to update the image in the Develop module. Once the edits were applied from the history, the right and left arrows worked in the develop module. It may be that the R & L arrow problem in the Develop module is due to a disconnect in finding and applying the edit history.
