After the upgrade to 21.7 on a Macbook Pro with Tahoe 26.2, whenever I try to connect to a file on the Mac/iCloud the opening window is greyed out and I can enjoy the Spinning Pinwheel for minutes until the file is “loaded”? A broken workflow like that is extremely annoying. Any idea for a fix?

Hi, I've been attempting to fix Dreamweaver CC 2021 issues for a bit and I have been unable to find a permanent solution and was trying to figure out if this was a Dreamweaver issue, or an issue with Windows 11 as these started after upgrading. I have been having issues trying to add a link to a file as it opens file explorer which then is VERY buggy and distorted. I am not sure if this has been resolved yet, but I am not sure how to fix that if it happens again as any fix I've tried is not permanent and issues arise again. Another issue that definitely sounds more like an OS issue is the sharing violation error message that keeps popping up and is preventing saving to the website. Have tried to disable "Reopen documents on startup" but this just gets undone. This issue needs to be resolved as it is preventing work from being done but I am at my wit's end trying to find a permanent solution so any advice is appreciated. Thanks!

Dreamweaver 21.6 - Browser preview not working after Tahoe 26.0.1 update on Macbook Pro 16".  Edit Browser List doesn't help, no browser shows up, whether I use the mouse or keyboard shortcuts.

I make a utf8 file - like this: file.jsI put some emojis in file.js:Check "page properties"... Close file, reopen it, and emojis are gone, and encoding has gone to westen european... Any ideas? Thanks!          

I've been working on a file functions file for months.  All the tests are going well.  Now that I'm finally ready to take it site-wide and overwrite the old file, everything is going wonky. First, when I "save as" and overwrite the new file, visually, the new file is messed up.  I can copy/paste individual functions from the new file to the newly overwritten file and that kind of helps but then it creates other problems.  Some functions can be minimized visually, but others can't (but everything works in the identical other file that I copied this one from).So I tried just copy/pasting it manually in windows explorer, going outside of dreamweaver.  But still when I open the file it's all wonky, and when I try to upload it to the server it says:File Transfer failed due to following reasons:- Internal data error, possibly because of failure to start the upload.(other files upload fine).It seems like dreamweaver might have some weird caching around this older

Hi everybody, my copy of Dreamweaver, (2021), as stopped working. This started yesterday. When I open it, it never opens! It just stops responding and you just have to force quit the application. Is this version out of date or is there some other reason for the issue? Thanks for your help.

Hi everyone, a) My live view stopped working after I gradually changed my website from plain HTML to PHP. The same page works fine as xxx.html, but with xxx.php I get the following error:“An unknown error occurred while searching for dynamically related files.” b) The browser preview no longer works either, and the QR code for previewing on mobile is also not showing up anymore. Does anyone know what could be causing this or how to fix it? Thanks in advance for any help!

My web host provider Pair Networks requires at least OpenSSH 9.0 for SFTP connections because of security problems with older versions. So far as I can tell the current Dreamweaver version 21.6 is still using OpenSSH 8.8 and therefore fails to connect. Published workarounds from Adobe only explain how to use even older versions of OpenSSH not newer ones (the current version is 10.6). This effectively makes Dreamweaver unusable for me so I suppose I shall have to end my trial and try some other editor..

When I use Dreamweaver on Mac OS 15 and want to compile SCSS files into CSS and .map files, it doesn't work, even though the function “Automatically compile files when saving and generate source map” is enabled.I then have to disable the function, shut down Dreamweaver, restart it, and then re-enable the functions. This works until I close Dreamweaver again, and the CSS file and .map file are created.To solve this, I completely removed all Adobe programs, completely deleted the computer, and reinstalled everything, but I still have the same problem after the reinstallation.This problem occurs with the Mac and the M4 chip. Windows 11In both - local and remote - file lists it's noch possible to switch on futher colums (like size).The headline appears shortly, but disapperars immediately without any visible result.I already tried to move the column-divider (what has helped in former times) - not working. I need urgently to see rechent changes dates.Please help!

Hi,It would seem that this bug has not been fixed yet, there are posts going back several years on the topic. The fault is NOT at my end, it is directly related to Dreamweaver and yes I have tried all of the suggestions in previous threads.Surely it cannot be the case that the solution is to abandon Dreamweaver entirely and revert to a Microsoft product for coding which is free - because it is better? Similarly Filezilla should not be the answer here. I am on version 21.6 build 15711  - rolling back to version 21.2 is not ideal. I have work to do and restarting Dreamweaver EVERY time I change a file and upload to the server is just not great for workflow... This occurs across many files types, does not seem to be localized to images or anything else. Extremely frustrating. Is there a solution in the pipeline? Thanks for your time.

After the update to 21.5, DW keeps on crashing when I try to upload files (macOS Sequoia 15.5).I am downgrading to 21.4 but in 15 days my plan will expire and I am not going to pay anymore for an abandoned, malfunctioning software.I have been testing Nova by Panic for a couple of days and it seems OK so time so say "bye Adobe".What do you think?

Again and again, when I use CTRL+S button to save my edits (when working in sourcecode window)  the text becomes suddenly extremely small and I cannot restore that. When I check my settings in Preferences the size of the Source Code Pro font (Unicode) is the same  as it was before (11 pt). But not in my window, it looks terribly small. I have to quit and restart Dreamweaver (Windows-version 21.6)  to make fonts look normal again. A shortkey bug perhaps? In my recollection it wasn't like this before.

Either using Dreameaver version 20 or 21  on Windows 11 - it crashes right after startup or when trying to open another HTML file. There seems to be a bug with the split view mode. When I just view in code view, there no issue in crashing or trying to open multiple documents.  Resetting preferences didn't help. I prefer to use split view mode so I can easily see the images and apply the links quickly and efficiently when at work.

Hi there, im on macos with a intel based mac from 2020 and on sequoia 15.6.Spec - 32 gb ram and 2,3 GHz Quad-Core Intel Core i7. Dreamweaver wont open or run, none of the available versions seems to run at all, it seems to boot but either crashes during launch or becomes unresponsive and cant be used at all. All the documentation and older issues similar to mine had fixes but none seem to work. I tried contacting support but the chat bot wont tell their opening hours so therefore im posting here hoping for a solution. Thanks in advance

I needed to use a generator function in my app, but DW incorrectly flags an ellipsis as a syntax error. I know anyone who needs a generator function should probably go buy a stronger IDE, but I'm cheap and I already have the whole CC suite. And isn't PHP version support a basic function of maintaining the Dreamweaver app? I would encourage you to at least get it up into the 8s.

There are many posts on this subject, none of which seem to correspond with the latest version. One can use existing suggestions to make hidden files such as .htaccess or .htpasswd visible on the remote server, but the same trick does not seem to work for local files. For the pundits who immediately leap into action with comments along the lines that MacOS has the option to show hidden files, indeed it does, and that option is switched on. I can see the hiddewn files in Finder. It is just that I cannot see them in the local file liston Dreamweaver which of course means I cannot PUT them onto the remote server.  It is very annoying and very difficult. Sure I went off and tried Wappler but it is not fit for purpose, and impenetrable with jargon and etc. So no, I prefer to stay with DreamWeaver and would appreciate prompt action from Adobe, or help from users who have experienced the same difficulty and solved the problem.

It's been months now that dreamweaver is laggy when typing on code view on PHP scripts. I have tried disabling all code hints, made static view default, disabled code coloring.... still laggy.If I type random chars it freezes for about a second then shows everything I typed at once every second.Any key I press takes about 50ms to fire.Double clicks (to select a word) usually won't fire.The whole app randomly freezes some times (if a PHP script is opened).DW process uses under 1% CPU. Plenty RAM available. Installed on a SSD drive as the whole system.

I use DW 21.5. Every time I start DW, the program suddenly hangs after about 10-20 minutes. It always happens once. After that I can work with it for the rest of the day without any problems. But after every new start, the program hangs after the specified time: “No response”. Once a day, after the start. Does anyone know why and how this can be fixed?

While I'm in Design Mode. It might be happening after I use Paste Special... Text Only.

In order to copy/paste in Dreamweaver 21.5 (Windows 11), I have to click out of the program only to have to click back into the program just to copy. If I don't do this, when I copy the selected text (code), it will randomly jump and just copy something else. Rebooting has no effect.
