I noticed today that the ‘Open Browser’ feature is not working. Yesterday it was. There have been no updates over night and I have not made any changes. I right click the page tab but nothing happens.Any help appreciated! Thanks in advance!

I just noticed a really weird behavior in one of my DW sites (actually my own personal business site).I have an HTML file named “Services-Print-Design.html” that displays fine in DW and when previewed by itself in a browser. The problem is I have several images and even menus in my site that should launch this page when clicked… but nothing happens at all? Hovering over an image or menu button recognizes there is a link before clicking, but clicking does nothing? For instance, I have 6 identical JPEGs on my Home Page and each links to a separate HTML page. Five of the Six links work perfect when clicked in Preview (same when selected from alternate dropdown menu). I have spent 3 hours making sure the code is identical to the other five page links. The page itself shows no errors in code view. I tried renaming the file and updating links throughout the site - no effect? It behaves like that page is just preview-cloaked? If I click on the file in DW and say “Show in Finder”, that works p

My main computer is a 2019 Intel Mac Pro running Sonoma and the latest version of DW.I am being forced to move ALL my 50+ DW sites to my MacBook Pro running Tahoe and the latest version of DW.I have read some articles on how to Export/Import .ste files. I want to copy ALL my server connections (user names, passwords, i.p. address settings, etc.), so from what I gather I should choose the Backup vs the Share export option… is that right?My main concern (if I understand the process correctly) is Export Backup option also retains pointers to all the actual site root folders for each of my customers’ actual images, assets, etc. used on their websites which now all 50+ of those folders are located on my Mac Pro. So if I export my .ste files on the Mac Pro and then import those into the MacBook Pro, those pointers will no longer be valid? I am guessing I will need to copy all those website root assets folders manually onto my MacBook Pro before I do the Import, BUT how will DW locate those r

I am using Dreamweaver 2021, I want to load my past purchased PVII (Projectseven) Extensions. How best to approach this, I downloaded the dmxzone extension manager as i cannot find an adobe one. Is it possible to load my past purchased PVII extensions.  Cheers

Hi,I have a local website which got pretty cluttered over the years, duplicate pages, unused images. I will keep a copy of it for resources, but wish I could work from a clean website while retaining all the elements present in the libraries.There is a great feature in InDesign which allows to export a clean document without orphan files. Is there something similar in Dreamweaver? Or would that work by importing the website ?Thanking you for any hint on how to proceed !Kind regards, Paul

iMac Ventura 13.2Dreamweaver C.C.Bootstrap 4.4.1 Hi folks, I currently have my web rows set to  .  .  .   class="col-lg-4"> I have 4 fluid columns which reduce in size as the site narrows but when they reach a "mid point" they break from 4 columns to 1 column. Is it a relatively easy fix to get things to go from 4 columns to 2 columns to 1 column instead of jumping from 4 to 1  ? I'm not really very technically minded so hopefully this is not beyond my understanding Any advice and assistance greatly appreciated. Kind regards, Garry.

What are other people using instead of Adobe Dreamweaver? My 2021 program has messages that popup saying it is using insecure code. Addtionally, I have been using it for many years and recently it has not been putting photos in Tables, that it had no problem doing a year ago. Is Adobe ever going to update Dreamweaver. I create my own websites and use Dreamweaver to create content. Is there a more modern program that is as easy to use as Dreamweaver? 

I’m really stuck here. I’m trying to add my live WordPress site lewisestimating.com to Dreamweaver so I can edit files directly, but nothing seems to work. I set up the local site folder and tried connecting via FTP, but…Dreamweaver isn’t showing my WordPress files properly.Opening PHP files sometimes just gives me errors or blank pages.I have no idea if I’m supposed to work directly in the WordPress folder or download everything first.And some CSS changes don’t even show up when I preview.Honestly, I’m feeling a bit lost. Has anyone done this before? How do you get a live WordPress site into Dreamweaver without breaking everything?Really appreciate any guidance, thanks!

Hello, After replacing my desktop with a new machine, due to a recent crash, I worked with my host unsuccessfully for hours to regain my ability to edit my DW site, matthewjablonski.com. In the past, if any revisions were made, I would be prompted before publication - it worked great. Now, no matter what, I get a window, saying that no edits were made. Shown on the screen shot, below, halfway down, I've added an h2 tag, showing the text, "TEST 1," in the html area. On my right-hand side, I included the published site showing it in visual form. Notice that the "TEST 1" is not present, anywhere, but I would assume it would probably be somewhere under the "COLOR on the Rails" text, if it had worked correctly.On the bottom left-hand side, I included DW's window, after I tried to publish the page. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Matthew

The screenshot is from main.less file, where I have managed to customize the column with the row numbers, editing those two default values. However I need one more fine-touch: As you can see, the code is too close to the right-border of the column. Is there a way to add a 2-3px gap in between?Thanks

Hi there!  I have the physical software for Dreamweaver CS5 but, due to the software having been on old computer (which I no longer have access to), I constantly am being asked for a serial number.  When I put in the one I have, it says it's already used on 2 computers.  So, there's nothing I can do right now to access this software and support said there's nothing they can provide.  Any ideas on how to handle this?  Thank you!

I migrated a few sites over to WP using Bricks Builder, which I like, but nothing compares to P7's addons. Hi everybody, this is a bit of a niche question I know but does anybody know if it is possible to set the line hight of Urdu text closer together than the default when a line of text does not have any tall letters in it? If you have a line of text which does not have any tall letters in, like the second line in the example below, this would reduce the space above it and make it to go closer to the line of text above it. According to sources I have found online when you set the leading, the distance in height between lines of text, in css, negative values are not allowed. Does that mean there is no way of getting rid of the space above a line of text that has no tall letters in it! I am using Dreamweaver version 21.6 Build 15711 and frequently the copy and paste fail to paste the text copied from code view. Closing Dreamweaver and opening it again does not solve the problem.  The only way I have found to get Dreamweaver to work properly again is to close dream and reboot my Windows 11 PC.  Something is seriously wrong with the new version of Dreamweaver. After 26 years, I am about to stop using Adobe products and switch to something more reliable.   The "scanning for related files function" is not user friendly.  When I try to save a code file while the scanning is running I get the message, "Cannot save documents while scanning for related files".  The scan does not give the option to pause the scan to permit one to save and continue.  The scan takes too long to complete.  The only way I gave found to break out and save is to try to close the file you are trying to save and then canceling the close with stop the scan so yo

For some files in Dreamweaver when i publish i get the following error:File Transfer failed due to following reasons:- Internal data error: Transferred file size does not match the expected file size.It only does it for some files and not others. When it errors it also removes the file from the server.I have tested with Filezila and it publishes the files fine with no issues so the issue is definately Dreamweaver.It can work on a file all morning and then once it fails once it will never let you publish it even if you delete and try again.The server hosts say there is nothing they can do , please can you explain how i can stop this happening.Here is example log for a .htm file i was trying to publish:Started: 12/07/2023 16:24.htm - Transferring.htm - error occurred - An FTP error occurred - cannot put .htm. Created a new html file, did as Save As to abc.htm  then later wanted to change the name so did File Save as xyz.htm  I entered the "htm" both times as say abc.htm or xyz.htm as the save as file type box has all different types listed separated by commas (or semi colons). After the second save as I upload both to my web server and when I type the url for xyz.htm I get File not found but it is fine when the url is abc.htm   On the server I renamed xyz.htm to xyz_orig.htm and then renamed abc.htm to xyz.htm. then xyz.htm loads fine. although in filezilla on my local drive it shows the files as having htm extensions, I am suspicious that the second save as caused it to save xyz.htm.htm

Whenever i want to connect to FTP in dreamweaver on my Dektop Mac Studio M4 Max it doesn't work. Just hangs and keeps trying. So the weird solution is:I have to open my wifes Mac Air, sign with the same FTP details on Filezilla and it connects on the spot. Then i return to my Desktop Mac studio, try again to connect FTP in Dreamweaver and it connects directly without any problem .... Then after a while it disconnects and again without Ftp on my Desktop. So i open the Macbook air from my wife again, connect to the same FTP details in Filezilla and after that i can connect again on dreamweaver on my computer. I have contacted my ISP but they doen't get why it behaves that way. Why can i only connect FTP on Dreamweaver on my desktop when i connect with the same FTP on Filezilla on my wifes laptop ....Any idea why?  

My sites have a template which in the past was easy to edit and those changes would populate across the site like they are supposed to. However, now it almost seems like the template is disconnected. I no longer get a prompt to update all the pages based on that template and can't seem to find a way to ask it to do this. I didn't make any changes (that I'm aware of :-)) to my "process and procedure" for workflow, the sites, file locations, not a new computer, etc. Probably something simple, any help is appreciated.

I am trying to get the embed code for a YouTube short video but that option doesn't seem to be available, see attached images of share options. TIA

The code editor in DW 21.2 has messed up drag and drop to the point where you can no longer see where the drag is going to be dropped. Up to now, a ghost edit-point cursor has shown exactly where it was going (although it was sometimes hard to see). Now it appears if there is some sort of weird icon near the mouse arrow, but NO indication of where the paste is occurring. This will force me to use an external text editor, which is just another painful step in doing my work. Don't get me wrong, external text editors are great but taking the time to force the external editor every time I want to edit a file is ridiculous. Alternately, I will have to cut/paste each move, now that drag and drop is not controllable any more. Please, undo this "improvement"!
