I am going to buy a laptop. Which graphics card should I go for gtx1660ti or rtx 2060. I saw many people posting stuffs about rtx 2060 not supported by adobe premiere pro. What would you suggest?

Specifications: Processor - AMD Ryzen 7 3750H  GPU - AMD Radeo RX5500M 4GB RAM - 16 GB  1 TB HDD + 256 GB SSD    Please help me out!    [Moderator note: moved to appropriate forum.]

I've been having a close look at the Premiere Pro benchmarks over at https://www.pugetsystems.com/benchmarks/ and is very clear that the "Live Playback Performance" of Macbooks is so much better than most other systems. These live playback tests are 4 streams of multicam, 4k 60fps, h264,  ProRes 422 and RED. I can't believe that playback performance on Macbooks outperforms most higher spec computers. Can anyone here answer the question as to why Macbooks playback performance is so much better in genreal? Whilst higher spec'd systems outperform the Macbooks on output render time. The Macbooks consistently outperform even higher spec'd systems for live playback performance.

I'm buying a laptop that I'll use to train on premiere, photoshop and after effects. The recommended RAM for premiere and photoshop are 16gb. The recommended RAM for after effects is 32gb (the minimum is 16gb). I'm trying to save money. I'm more into funny edits which mostly requires face swaps, 3d texts, merging videos, voice-over, subtitles, graphics used on news channels, animations etc. In coming time, I may start using Adobe Character animator more frequently. How do I enable two/multi Nvidia GPUs for encoding/export in the latest versions of Premiere Pro and After Effects? My system has two RTX 2080 Super GPUs.  However, when I do export or render in Premiere or After Effects, its obvious that only one GPU is in use based on the info in the Performance tab of task manager or just by moniotoring GPU temeprature. I looked at this page and it seems vague:https://helpx.adobe.com/x-productkb/multi/gpu-acceleration-and-hardware-encoding.html  On that page it says, "Adobe Premiere Pro uses a single GPU during playback and multiple GPUs for other tasks such as Render In to Out and for export." However its only using one GPU on my system for render or export.

To recreate, I open Premiere, work with a project and after 2 minutes or so there is no response to any input. After a few more minutes the bsod happens with the error driver_power_state_failure. I have saved two dmp logs and I'm looking for help.I've tried back-dating the nvidia driver.I've tried setting the Nvidia control panel 3d settings for premiere to high performance Nvidia processor.Thanks for reading!-Natalie

Dear Everyone,Please advise,I would planning to upgrade the Graphics Card, however I don't want spend a lot of money as I would still use the same motherboard (Gigabyte Z68AP-D3) thats only have the PCI Express 2.0.Please advise what is the GPU Card with PCI Express 2.0 that is supporting for Premiere Pro 2020 (14.3), I would preffer to use NVIDIA (the reason is the exisiting I using the NVIDIA). Thank you for the advise.

Using the creative suite on my old laptop and newly built desktop. Wanted to see the upgrade difference first hand so I made identical 15 second videos on each and did an export test. Both machines exported 29mb mp4s, the laptop took 7 seconds while the PC took 23. Just concerned this could scale to be much more of a problem with a larger export. Desktop PC Specs          Laptop Specs  2 possible reasons:Is it because my desktop is AMD and laptop is Intel? Processor Comparison Am I possibly missing codecs on my PC that would help encoding during export? I exported using H.264 Vimeo 1080p preset on both. UPDATE:Downgraded from premiere 14.3 to 14.1 (to match the laptop) and got nearly identical export times. The Desktop was about 20 seconds faster! Still not the difference I was hoping to see but will update this thread wtih a larger project and file test.  Thoughts and suggestions welcome! 

With the new Mac Pro imminent, does anyone know how the AMD Radeon Pro Vega II Duo will be treated as in Premiere on MacOS?  As in, will it be seen as a single GPU or a dual GPU?   For example, I know Premiere only uses one GPU for accelerated playback in a setup with multiple GPUs, but what about in this instance, given the 2 GPU dies are on a single board?  Any insights would be helpful as I decide which one to purchase shortly.       [Moderator note: moved to best forum.]

First, let me thank you all for your help in advance.    I am getting a new super-large design tablet/monitor where I can draw on the screen. Since I am well connected to the games industry... I thought it makes more sense to go ahead and buy a PC Tower.  Now, I am limited on the money I can put towards this and I need to order it this weekend.  I know building it myself or having someone do it for me probably would be more cost-effective (but I would most likely botch that up and I need it to create some videos).   Currently, I have a Wacom Cintiq Companion 2, Wacom Mobile Studio Pro 1 and a BenQ PD3220U monitor.  I will be using the new computer for graphics, animation, video editing, maybe some 3D, streaming and gaming.  The new tablet will be 22 to 32 inches in size.    I am looking at this build... but I am not 100% sure if that is the best.  Plus, I do not know this company.  I am in Germany... so there are a few other option

Hey guys, I'm an artist with little technical wherewithal. I'm just learning now. My footage and edits look good but now wanna learn big boy tools. Will I be able to easily use it on my HP 15Z?? I just listened to the sales person but realize that may have been a mistake. I'm willing to do what I need to to save money but still be able to use PP. I'll only use the laptop for video editing and that's it. Right now I'm just using footage from my S9+ but will eventually upgrade. I just wanna be able to learn all the tools I can. Would love some specific help!

Hey guys, I used to have Premier and After Effects back in the day, about to purchase both again. I've been out of the film game since 2006. Im going build a new PC just for film editing. Any of you experienced film makers recommend what kind of sound card, video card, Ram, hard drive space, ect. I should purchase for maximum efficiency.  Also, affordable video cameras you might recommend. I want my short films to look professional and I know the camera is where it starts.  Lava mic packs or similar individual small mics that you put in the actor's shirt you might recommend for good audio don't want to use a boom mic. Previously I used to edit my youtube videos from the mobile application. But now my TechSuvam site and youtube channel getting some views. So I want to edit videos for my website and youtube channel from Adobe Premiere Pro. I have a laptop with an i3 7th gen processor. Hi,    I just updated to the Adobe Premiere 14.2 and I still get the no hardware acceleration message when encoding h.264.    My specs MacBook Pro (Retina, 15-inch, Mid 2014) 2,5 GHz Quad-Core Intel Core i7 16 GB 1600 MHz DDR3 NVIDIA GeForce GT 750M   I checked the system requirements in the official page and it looks that only works on hardware from 2016 or later.    Does it mean that I'm doomed? Any magic workarounds?   Thanks for your suggestions. 

I recently purchased a new computer to run Premiere Pro... 32GB RAM, 1TB SSD, i7 processor... but, unfortunately, the graphics card is coming up short on horsepower.  I'm trying to find an acceptable SFF graphics card that does not require additional power (6 prong plug... I don't have any extras available inside the desktop).  Does anyone either know of a good graphics card that meets the system requirements of Premiere Pro... or a way to add an additional 6 prong plug? (maybe a splitter)? 

I'm confused with all the info out there on the net, thought I'd try here:   Calibrating my LED monitor (w/spyderXelite)  to: rec. 709  gamma 2.4  (tv/film broadcast standard)   now.... for brightness.... 100 cd/m2?  140? 150?   Watcha think?   Thanks! Letty   ps:  When I set it to rec.709, it's only letting me do gamma 2.22 and the white point says  x0.313 y0.329  (not 6500K)  😞    is that about right?  

Hello there, My workplace needs to introduce a number of Premiere Pro PC editing machines, we've used generic off the shelf options up to now (with varying levels of success) but this venture represents a significant investment and I wonder if anybody can suggest a combination of specific hardware known to be compatible that works well together. There is a budget of £1,000 for each machine, any advice would be very welcome. Many thanks

Hello everyone,I have recently purchased the ASUS ROG Zephyrus M (GU502GV-AZ038T) for editing video. After checking as many reviews and comparisons as I could before purchasing, I must say that I am disappointed by the "out of the box" configuration for editing. In both premiere Pro and DaVinci Resolve I run into stuttery playback on my footage without even adding any effects to it. After I have installed GeForce Experience with the NVDIA Studio driver I don't feel like it got any better. I have searched online, hoping to find the right anwsers, but I haven't yet. My friend's old system was running Premiere Pro CS 5.5 --- but when upgrading to Win 10 Pro --- this program Not open instead shows the splash screen and do Not proceed any far from there...?   Product: HP Xw6600 Workstation Operating System: Microsoft Windows 10 (64-Bit) Win 7 Pro - XEON E5405  DDR2 24GB Graphics card NVIDIA GTX 260 Card   After upgrade to Win 10 Pro: my friend installed Premiere Pro cc 2018 and PhotoShop cc 2018 ---  The result PhotoShop cc 2018 opens OK but Premiere Pro cc 2018 only splash screen and stops there Not proceed... further   Anything to try??? to bypass this Premiere Pro problem...
