I used to be able to select a portion of a PDF document and have it immediately converted to an image file [e.g. JPEG].It seems that since the new update of Acrobat Reader this is no longer possible?
Most (not all) users receive "AcroRd32.exe - Application Error" as soon as they open Reader or try to open a PDF. If I expand the details, I see "The Instruction at 0x6d559f7b referenced memory at 0x00000000. The memory could not be read."This has been happening for a couple of weeks now. We have two RDS Session Hosts, both on 2012R2 Standard. Once a user starts getting this problem, it doesn't matter which Session Host the user logs onto they get the same error. Which makes me think it's something profile related. I tried restoring both VM's back to before the problem started, it seems to work for an hour or so, then starts faulting again. I've even tried restoring the VM then disabling the Adobe Update service before attaching the virtual switch but the same thing happens. The users are using published Web Apps, but I also see the error when logged directly onto the server via the Hyper-V console. This is what I see in Event Viewer.Faulting applicati
A few days ago, my scanner (Canon) produced grey pages rather than readable files.I assumed the scanner was at fault.Have connected my husband's scanner (HP) and this will scan ok. but in JPEG format. I'm now able to scan on the HP to PDF and when viewed after scanning everything is fine. However when I save to a folder and try to open - I have the same problem...gray pages. However when I try to open most PDF files from my PC they are opening as grey pages - nothing there.I tried to combine the jpeg files to a PDF which is normally fine but although I could see the jpegs ok - the combined file was grey again. But some PDFs on my desktop are opening ok.I tried an update on Adobe but it said none available.I have "repaired" adobe but with no change to the problem.I have tried to reinstall adobe but it tells me I have the newest version.Any ideas? Thanks
We are looking for a way to disable Reader opening any links, including the "Look Up Selected Word" feature. I cannot find anything on how to do this via registry/GPO/etc. Is anyone aware of how I can do this.
As of this morning, multiple users are no longer able to attach a file to email from within Acrobat Reader without a login. I also noticed on a new install that the email option is greyed out. Do we need an Acrobat Standard or Pro license to email an attachment from Acrobat now?
Dear people:I'm reading a text in french, with te Reader Touch, and I would know it the "reading out loud" option is also in french. And if it exists, how can I configure it.Thanks a lotSandra
When I use the 'Share file' option in Adobe Reader DC (32-bit) 2023.008.20470, normally after entering the e-mailadres, Outlook opens so I can continue. But now I get confronted with a popup window asking me to sign in with my Adobe ID. I never used an Adobe ID for using the Adobe Reader DC application before, so why do I have to sign in?Can this option/prompt be disabled? More people I work with get this popup suddenly and don't know what to do, since they have never used an Adobe ID before. I can reproduce the issue on the following Operating Systems: - Windows 11 Pro 22H2 (OS Build 22621.3007)- Windows 10 Enterprise 22H2 (OS Build 19045.3930)
We have ADOBE READER (german) in Version 2023.008.20470 in 32- and 64-Bit. Some of our Forms instant close the application, if we click into a forms field. When we wait 5-10 seconds, until the advertisment for the "Pro" version is shown, then we can use the document as aspected. It happens since we have the newest version of the reader, till now it happens to 4 windows 10 and 11 computer. We already tried to repait installaion, dont show tool-sidebar at startup, disable protected view and finally save the documents with the newest "Adobe Acrobat Standard" again. Still the same issue. The employee at the chat doesnt feel responsible for non-payment problems (and we are not able to buy/rent the "Pro" for all of our 20 employees). Any suggestions, what else we could try?Thx.

Hi, I used to use Acrobat to convert scanned magazines using OCR into readable pages. In Version 23 Acrobat always "stops" - does stop to work and has to get hard-closed. Nothing works anymore! Any experiences with that or ideas how to get the once running feature back to work? Martin
Hi everyone,Everytime I open Acrobat Reader DC I get an annoying message saying "Access Denied. You no longer have access to this service. Please contact Adobe Customer Support if you believe this is an error."This message seems to be related to a login screen. It also only appears when connected to the internet. To clear things up I don't want to login, I only want to use the free Acrobat Reader DC.I tried contacting Adobe Support, but since Acrobat Reader DC is free, they don't want to give active support.System information:Windows 11 with latest updatesAcobat Reader DC 64-bit Procedures I have already tried to resolve the issue:Deinstall and reinstall Acrobat Reader DC (+ removing registry entries)Installing Creative Cloud and its cleaner tool No success so far ...Is anyone able to help me?
Hi there, We're looking to activate the MIP plugin for Acrobat Reader. I'm wondering if it's still compatible with the newer version, or if we need to revert to an older version to enable the plugin. If so, could you please provide the last supported version? Additionally, does the Reader only allow viewing of protected documents without the capability to classify files? Thanks.
I have Acrobat Reader and I did not have this problem in the past. Like it says in the title, when I am trying to print a pdf, instead of doing so it pops up the save file dialogue. I searched on the internet for a solution and it says about unchecking a "print to file" box. The problem is that the box was already unchecked and I don't know what else I can do. How do I fix this? Thank you for your time!

I am using Acrobar Reader version 2023.008.20470. What I want to do is to open documents in different windows, not in different tabs. I think the procedure should be the following: 1. Disable new Acrobat Reader 2. Choose Edit\Preferences 3. Uncheck "Open documents as new tabs in the same window". The problem is only that I cannot get the system to save this change. When I reopen Acrobat Reader the check is back in the box. Is there anything than can be done? I am on windows 11.

Good day all, I've noticed that we have several versions of Adobe Acrobat Reader that are behind a few versions. It appears that some of them are not checking for updates. If I were to push the latest version of Acrobat Reader to all of these computers, would it update to that version? Or do I need to incrementally update all of them separately?

I am using Adobe Acrobat Pro DC 2105 Release (Classic) | Version 2015.006.30482 to create and distribute shared reviews. My operating system is Windows 10 Enterprise. I am unable to share PDF files via Adobe Acrobat Reader DC Continuous Release | Version 2019.021.20058. After I click the Share button, select Default email application, and then Send, the error message "Adobe Acrobat is unable to connect to your email program" results. In Adobe Acrobat Pro DC 2105 Release, my Email Account preference is my Gmail address. My employer migrated from Microsoft Office and now strictly uses Google Mail. So I am unable to configure Office Outlook, which is not on my computer. How do I solve this problem? Related Post: Publish Comments Button is Not Visible in Adobe Acrobat Reader
