Hi, everyoneThe following registry keys could hide tools pane by default, but they couldn't work fine as before.[HKEY_CURRENT_USER\SOFTWARE\Adobe\Adobe Acrobat\DC\AVGeneral]"aDefaultRHPViewMode_L"="Collapsed""bRHPSticky"=dword:00000001The using way of setting preferences registry keys of mine were as following.Step 1. I applied the registry keys of settings which I preferred before opening PDF file and then reboot.Step 2. After reboot that I opened any PDF file which I chose.Result:"aDefaultRHPViewMode_L"=hex:00 replaced "aDefaultRHPViewMode_L"="Collapsed" when opened PDF file and then showed right side tools pane by default now. Q. How to hide tools pane via registry keys by default the same as before? Thanks a lot.
The advanced search result shows for some files the name 'untitled'. I could identify that this information is found in the Title filed of file description/metadata. I could change the information in the file and started the advanced search again. In search result the file name is again 'untitled'. I assume that there is a cache. Is this correct? How can I delete the cache? is there an automatic process that deletes the cache? How often? Is there an other reason why search resullt don't show the correct title?Win 10, Acrobat Reader latest version
So Adobe Acrobat has this fatal PDF error for years but found no way to fix it? Adobe Reader cannot open a PDF page that is longer than 200in in length. That's just bad. Adobe, please fix this basic error.
Hello,I enabled the setting on Adobe Reader > Edit > Preferences > Documents > Remember last view settings when reopening the file, but this feature doesn't work with some PDF files. I have uploaded an example file where page 1 is displayed every time I resume reading it.I checked for software updates, my Adobe Reader is up-to-date. I've had this issue with previous versions. I tried modifying the PDF file, saving it, but to no avail. Adobe Reader doesn't remember the last viewed page. I'm using Adobe Reader v.2025.001.20756 64bit on Windows 11 (latest version applied).Have you experienced a similar problem? Are you able to reproduce this problem on your end with the attached PDF file? Thank you.

So, I download the Adobe Reader extension for my Chromebook to open the FRO PDF. However, when I open the PDF it says I need Adobe Reader 8 or higher. I've check on the website to see if I have the correct program and it should open, but it says gives me the same issue. I also can't open the PDF on my Samsung phone either. What am I doing wrong? Error message: The document you are trying to load requires Adobe Reader 8 or higher. You may not have the Adobe Reader installed or your viewing environment may not be properly configured to use Adobe Reader. For information on how to install Adobe Reader and configure your viewing environment please see https://www.adobe.com/go/pdf_forms_configure. **FRO PDF is from the Canadian government for child support to give context. I'm attempting to be enrolled with FRO and this may be an ongoing issue if I need to download more things from them in the future.
Hi,I have two clients who have been utilizing Adobe Acrobat for years and require their PDF proposals to be optimised and reduced in size, as they are font and image heavy. Despite updating Adobe as necessary in the last few months, their files haven't changed in size during either optimization or reduction. This is a growing concern as they will require the files to be reduced as necessary. Please assist.
After much searching I finally figured out the installed Adobe Reader extensions for the browsers will not naviage to any PDF URL that has #page= or #[destination anchor]. It simply ignores the page number or anchor in the URL string. Once I removed the extension from my browser, so it used the default simple PDF reader embedded in the browser, all my links worked. This works in Chrome and Brave. It does NOT work in MS Edge as the Adobe Reader extension is embedded by default, so those URLs will not work in MS Edge. Thought I would share with everyone. Adobe needs to fix this issue in the Adobe Reader extension that users install in their browsers.
hi, there is a PDF file somewhere on the internet. I have to fill it and send it to a company. you can see it here or in the attachement. Bestellformular_Medical_Access_Port-Bundle_Konnektortausch_13.03.2025.pdf at the bottom of page 3 there is a small area where you can add a digital signatur of your digital ID. i don't understand what this means. i have created a new digital ID, saved it as a file (PFX-file). i have a question. if i have to send a digitally signed document to a recipient, do I have to add the PFX-file to the e-mail attachement? what's the system, how can i understand it?
Hi When filling out the PDF form in Arabic,Words in Arabic appear dashed letters?!How to solve this problem? thanks.
I have noticed what seems to be a bug involving the comment tools. The behavior causes strikethrough text to be automatically generated and interferes with single-key accelerators. How to Reproduce the Behavior:Open a PDF with selectable text. Open comment tools so you see the specialized top and side menus. Select some text with the cursor. Type anything. The selected text automatically gets strikethrough markup and your typing populates a comment bubble. Environmental Factors:This behavior does not happen with the comment tools closed. This behavior also occurs if the cursor is still associated with a specific position in the text, in which case a zero-length strikethrough is generated with the comment. This behavior is independent of the "Enable text selection for Highlight, Strikethrough, and Underline" option. This behavior is independent of the "Use single-key accelerato

Merci d'avance.
How to open two page view in full screen mode in Adobe Reader DC?
I work as an admin cooridantor and handle seminars for a university. We have presentations that require uploaded slides from speakers. I recenlty got a mac desktop and have had issues loading slides sent to me. "Cannot extract the embedded font 'EMGEJI+LMSans12-Regular'. Some characters may not display or print correctly." is the notification i keep receiving. We open the slides on a microsoft desktop and it works just fine. It seems to be a mac problem. Any advice?????
I am using Adobe Acrobat Reader version 2023.003.20269 on Windows 11.I am entering data into documents in Fill & Sign mode. As I complete the forms, the software is auto-suggesting data values that have previously been entered. The data is private medical information that I do not want to save or suggest.I do not want any autofill feature to be active at all. Accordingly I went into Preferences -> Forms and set 'AutoComplete' to Off.In another thread, I learned there is a separate featured called 'auto-suggest.' I logged in to acrobat.adobe.com, went into Settings, clicked the checkbox to set 'Auto-suggestions' to off, and clicked the button to also 'Clear suggestions.'I have updated and restarted the Acrobat software.Fill & Sign continues to exhibit the exact same behavior. It is auto-populating form fields with private medical information. I consider this a violation of expected behavior and of data privacy. What is the differe
Hi all,I just resolved a difficult issue I was having with installing Adobe Reader and thought the resolution was worth sharing. The computer lost power while Adobe Reader DC was installing. After that, I was unable to install Reader. I kept getting "Error 1328.Error applying patch to file C:\Config.msi\PTEDE6.tmp" when using the installer from https://get.adobe.com/reader/enterprise/. I tried using the Adobe Reader Cleaner tool from http://labs.adobe.com/downloads/acrobatcleaner.html but it didn't have any effect. After spending some time examining Process Monitor logs, I discovered the installer was accessing cached Adobe Reader installation files from this folder:C:\Windows\Installer\$PatchCache$\Managed\68AB67CA7DA73301B744CAF070E41400After deleting that folder, the installation completed successfully. (You will need to turn on the option in Windows Explorer to "Show hidden files" and turn off "Hide protected operating system files" to access this folder through Windows Explorer.) I

Hello All, I posted this request "Garbled Characters when try to open a PDF in the Adobe Reader" and there is a long time that I do not receive any reply. I had Acrobat DC on the C: Drive, and removed it. Downloaded the Distribution version for Install.Tried to Install to the equivalent location on 😧 (I have other apps in Program Files (x86) on D:)At the Install Verification stage it fails stating that the desitination folder is not empty and 'Please select an empty folder'.I have been through every possible location I can think of to remove Adobe folders:C:/Program FilesC:/Program Files (x86)C:/Program Files (x86)/Common FilesC:/ProgramDataC:/Users/username/AppData/LocalC:/Users/username/AppData/RoamingAs well as anything on the 😧 drive.I have tried running the Adobe Acro Cleaner, but it won't run because it says there isn't an instance of it to clean up.I think the error must really mean something different.I can't think of anything else to try. Ideas anyone?
I've seen this question posted before, but have yet to find a solution. When I click a drop down menu, it appears, then disappears quickly. I have to then click it again, and it expands much larger than it should. The need to double-click is driving me crazy. I've tried repairing the installation of Adobe Reader, and even removed the program and re-installed. Any help regarding this issue would be appreciated. I've attached a sample PDF for reference. Thanks in advance.
