I signed 5.pdf as 5b.pdf on Windows 11 using Adobe Reader, and Adobe itself reports that the signature is invalid. It used to work normally...I also created 5c.pdf using Reader, but on Windows 10, and that one is fine. Both have the same version...I even deleted the signing certificate from the keystore on my Windows 11 and re-imported it.A visual signature in pdf looks:Signature validation isI made it on Czech Windows, en translation follows ...Image 1 (signature properties)Signature is INVALID.Signing time: 2025/04/15 15:06:51 +02'00Signature details:The signature was created using Adobe Acrobat Reader (64-bit) 2025.001.20435.Hash algorithm: Not availableSignature algorithm: Not available
Hello, I know this might sound a bit unusual, but I’m currently opening a PDF in Adobe Acrobat and attempting to use the Print to PDF function - either using Microsoft Print to PDF or Adobe PDF as the printer - to create a new PDF version of the same document. However, I’m encountering the attached error each time I try this, regardless of which print-to-PDF option I use. I have followed the troubleshooting pages steps - and still no luck. Any help or advice you could offer would be greatly appreciated.

My goal: to ensure automatic updating of Adobe Acrobat Reader. The user does not have admin rights.1) Does Adobe Acrobat Update Service update Adobe Acrobat Reader?2) Where is the log of this service?3) Where are the settings of this service?4) How often does the service check/install updates and how to change it?P.S.All this concerns the latest versions of the program, not outdated ones.

I just installed adobe reader on my macbook pro and need to print a mix of legal and letter sized documents. I never had trouble on my PC but on the mac it cuts off the top and bottom of the legal pages. I downloaded the correct printer driver with no change. I also followed some other suggestions made. Nothing seems to help. Will I not be able to use adobe on my mac to print documents correctly?Thank you,Celena Casarotto
Within an EMR application, files can be saved as a pdf with a specific file name. However, each time a file is opened - it is given the name Case. IE Case (01), Case (02), etc. After 100 files are opened, it is asking to save the file with a different name. When I look at the document properties in Adobe, I see under title the actual file name (not Case). The same ERM application, does have pdfs that open just fine. I am using Chrome/Windows.
Hello, I have the most current Acrobat Reader DC 2017 on macOS 10.11.6 (15G1421) and am trying to fill and sign a document that has been sent to me.However, while all form fills are working, the initial, date or signature areas do nothing when clicked, and the Sign tool at the top remains disabled/greyed out.The Document extensions seem to be set to enable me to do fill the form fields, save the file, sign it and even add attachments. Please see screenshot with all relevant document, app and os info: Any help/info appreciated!
I have a printing issue with 11” X 14” Legal PFD documents using Adobe. The first page prints correctly, however, the second and subsequent pages print with the text starting two inches lower than it should. This cuts off the bottom two inches of the text, making the printed document un-usable. If I print the legal sized document one page at a time, it prints correctly. Also, If I print letter sized paper, this problem doesn't’ happen. Obviously, I cannot effectively print multiple paged documents one page at a time. I am using a MacBook with OS Mojave. A Brother HL-L6200DW dual tray with the series BR-Script 3 driver for multi-sized paper. I have also downloaded the Adobe Acrobat DC. All systems and drivers are up to date. I’ve tried every single option/ combination available in the print dialog box. Please. Has anyone solved this time and paper/toner consuming issue?
Although I have the certificate correctly imported in the mac keychain, I always get the same error message:The credential selected for signing is invalid. The certificate is correctly loaded. This video describes the same problem:https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aW6UevLRsU8&t=33sThey give a temporary solution which is to load the certificate through acrobat but you should import it correctly with the macOS keychain.
At work we have Adobe Acrobat Reader (Free). In a particular document I decided to sign in with my personal Adobe Acrobat Pro account. Then I logged out.Now the Adobe Reader will not open unless I provide my password. I logged in, and then logged out, thinking that will make it recognize that a subscriber account logged out. However, it keeps asking for a sign-in in order to JUST VIEW/READ a PDF.I need help to "reinstate" the Adobe Reader to no require to sign in to view PDF on my work computer.
I want to check whether the below couple of file hash belongs to your company. We have downloaded it from the url: https://get.adobe.com/reader/download but it has bad reputation in virustotal and other sites like any.runName: Reader_en_install.exeSHA256: 45740d7c344680fe073ee6371a70edc0f5094108ef5b0e246e3919e3e1b6a354,BC2DCC4859825D9CDD34A3FE4EF6E21EAF7BF2BEA92294B36D926C0EBE642517URL from where the file is downloaded: https://get.adobe.com/reader/download
Hi,I somehow changed the color of the 'replace text' mark-up tool from red to blue. This is the same color as the 'strikethrough text' mark-up tool, and it makes it confusing for people to know if the text should be replaced or deleted. How can I change the color back to blue permanently? I am able to change it for a specific comment, but I can't get it to go back to blue as the default. Thanks for your help,Rob
Even though I click the selection tool, every time I open Adobe Reader DC, it reverts back to the hand tool. When I am viewing pdfs in Firefox and I switch to a different tab from the one that has the pdf, the cursor becomes a flashing hand tool. I was once able to get around this issue and make the selection tool default, but I no longer remember how I did it. Does someone have a solution for this issue? If I make the hand tool selection text and images, it still makes the cursor become a flashing hand tool when I am in Firefox and on a different tab from the one containing the pdf. I am using Win 10. This is very annoying because I often use the cursor to highlight and copy text and use the arrow keys to scroll, making the hand tool largely redundant. If there is a solution to this issue, I would greatly appreciate it.
I’ve done some work on my iPad, adding a lot of comments to a PDF file, but I can’t find the updated version on my Mac. I literally cannot open the correct version of the file. It seems to have been uploaded to iCloud, yet on my Mac, I only see the old comments. Sharing a copy of the file from my iPad doesn’t work either, as only the old comments appear. Any chance Adobe staff is interested in improving their products, or should I just use other tools?
Hello everyone, I have a new laptop and, strangely enough, after downloading Adobe Acrobat Reader I cannot activate the above-mentioned preview window in the Adobe Acrobat Reader settings. I have already uninstalled and reactivated the program several times and also checked for updates. The latest version 25.001.20432 is installed.Does anyone have any tips? It's really strange, on my old laptop I can simply check the box for the preview. On my new laptop this is simply not possible. Here are my laptop specifications:Microsoft Windows 11 HomeVersion 10.0.26100 Build 26100HP OmniBook X Laptop 14-fe0xxx Best regards!
I am using my Macbook Air, running OS Sequoia 15.3.2.. All of a sudden, My Adobe Reader will not load the data, only the forms. I can see the data in the preview thumbnail. It loads fine in a browser. It is from multiple companies (utility bills for example) and even old files. I tried using the uninstaller and reinstalling, it did not help. I tried even using the Adobe cleaner after the uninstall and it would not proceed as it did not see the software on my machine. So...here I am stuck. One thing to note, I used to have the full version with the ability to convert files from PDF to Excel or Word. I uninstalled that since I didn't renew the subscription and tried to install only the reader. Someone please help me if you can...This is frustrating.... thanks !!!!!

I bring up a PDF page and reading says Warning, empty page. What do I do?
Hello!I'm having an issue with some PDFs I'm generating and Adobe Reader. In particular, my PDFs look good in all apps I've tried (Chrome, Foxit, Firefox, Edge, Sumatra etc.), but in Adobe Reader all the rasterized (non vector) images in the PDF look awful, all pixelated and with ugly aliasing around the borders. Here is an example of what I mean: In this image you can see the same PDF file opened in Adobe (top), Chrome (bottom left) and Foxit (bootom right). As you can see, the shown image looks smooth and nice in Chrome/Foxit, but in Adobe it is all aliased and has an ugly black contour that is not present in the original PNG image. Can anyone tell me why this happens? And why it happens only in Adobe? Note that the PDFs are generated by Microsoft's Sql Server Reporting Services, if that's important.
I am a very basic user of .pdf's, by that I mean I don't generate documents. I only need a reader to open documents that people send to me. eg. Bills, tax returns, work chits/payslips, quotes, invoices, letters, statements etc. You name it, they all force you to use .pdf format to read their documents. The other day my PC stopped opening .pdfs, I double click on the icon and.... nothing happens. I have uninstalled and then resintalled the acrobat reader... and it still doesn't work. So I am now in an interesting position where I basically cannot do any work because I am relying on free software that doesn't offer a support function - there is no one to talk to to get it working again. So I'd appreciate any help/suggestions please. Thanks
I only need and have Acrobat Reader but everytime I open a PDF a pop up opens asking me if I want to:a. start free trial and pay later or buy immediatelyb. quit I don't need or want the fancy paid package.
Hello,I’m experiencing a recurring issue with Adobe Reader that is significantly affecting my workflow. I use dynamic PDF forms with interactive features (e.g., JavaScript-driven fields, drop-downs, and expandable sections). However, whenever there is a network disruption while the form is open, Adobe Reader unexpectedly converts the form into a flat PDF—stripping away all interactivity and rendering it uneditable. This behavior appears to happen without warning, and once flattened, the dynamic functionality is permanently lost. I’ve verified that this occurs across multiple workstations, with different versions of Adobe Reader DC, and even when the forms are hosted locally but accessed through shared network drives. Can you please provide:An explanation for why this flattening happens after a network interruption.A way to prevent dynamic forms from being automatically flattened in such events.Any recovery options or configurations (e.g., registry keys, preferences) that can help preserv
I want to know how to eliminate display of tool bars on the side of photos.
