Hi everyone, when I open the comment tool and try to add a voice comment, I get the following error message:It's in German and pretty much reads "There is currently no wave device available that could record in this format".I've never seen this before and I have already set the microphone privacy settings within Windows 10 to allow desktop apps.By the way: This happens on multiple computers.Does anyone have any ideas on how to resolve this?Recording sound in other apps works as expected. Thanks in advance and kind regards,Mark Hermann
Hi. This is really a complaint more than a support request. Why am I forced to install McAfee products when I download and install Acrobat Reader? I had the 2019 version of Reader and couldn't find any "Check update" so downloaded the latest from get.adobe.com, then found it automatically installed McAfee Safe Connect and another McAfee product without my authorisation. I immediately removed those product while keeping the Reader. I use many many third party products and this is the first time I've encountered such rubbish unauthorised bundling for years. I tried to complain on the website but best I can get was a virtual assistant which was useless. So here I am.
Hello. I am having trouble updating Adobe Acrobat or Adobe Reader on my Windows-based PC. I recently got the update that broke PDF thumbnail generation and saw that the latest update fixes it. However, I am unable to update due to a program running and it increasingly demanding unmeetable demands. First it says because Acrobat is open, then it says because Sticky Notes are open, then it says because and folder in Explorer is open, and then finally "Prrogram Manager", whatever that is. I am on Adobe Acrobat Pro DC Version 2021.001.20138. I am on Windows 10 OS build 17763.1757. I've tried restarting my computer and the same issue persists. What can I do about this to get my issue resolved? This is on a company laptop and I did not run into this issue on another company computer.
I'm trying to print a letter/legal mixed document and it's not working. I updated to the latest version and talked to Canon. They told me to go to Security (enhanced) and find the "enable protected mode at start-up", but it was nowhere to be found. What is the fix for this? I do click on "choose paper source by pdf page size" Canon said that the same thing happened to someone with Windows and they were able to fix it.
Each time I open a fillable PDF document using this version of reader, the entire PDF is pixelated. Is there a fix for this? I have updated the PC BIOS and video drivers. I have uninstalled and reinstalled Reader using the latest version. Nothing seems to correct this. It was not happening last month. PC Running Windows 10 Pro 64 bit.
Hola, ¿como puedo imprimir solo el texto resaltado? ¿Se puede hacer? Gracias.
Hello, Recently, when I add a comment to a document, it instantly becomes invisible. I can still see it as existing (in the drop-down list of my comments), but under no circumstances am I able to read it directly from the document. I tried to reinstall the software, reset the settings, check the confidentiality of the document / computer, etc. I am on MacOs 11.2.2.
It seems like SUCH a simple option. ALL freeware programs have it. I just want to be able to decrease the font size of the text I copy/pasted in a fillable form field. Why is that not possible?
Hi! Recently my PDF reader has had the "weird" characters. I have already updated Adobe and Windows to the latest available version, however, the problem persists. My Adobe's language default is set to Portuguese (Brazil). Documents that were always displayed normally, today have this problem so, I suppose it is not a lack of sources. Is it a problem with any version of the software? Is Adobe aware of this already? Do you have a momentary solution? Thank you very much in advance!

Hello. For about 1 month, when opening certain PDF documents that we generate from our ERP, using a PDF printer driver, on some computers with Adobe Reader in its latest version, strange symbols and characters are displayed in certain parts of the document.More specifically in the parts of the document that have Arial Bold as their font.At the moment we solve it by restarting the computer and when you open the same document again, as soon as you open it it continues to be displayed badly, but in an interval of 2 or 3 seconds it is automatically corrected and it can now be viewed correctly. This happens again at random after 1 or several days.Could you confirm that it may be happening? Because until 1 month ago this did not happen. I attach two images with examples of both cases Thanks a lot
After migrating a customers windows profile from local to domain on a Win7 machine, he can't open attached files within a PDF.I tested it with other files and the same files on other PCs. His machine is the only saying it can't open the attachement because it can't find the file.I tried reinstalling acrobat reader and deleted the registry under HKEY_CURRENT_USER\SOFTWARE\Adobe\Acrobat Reader. He still can't open it.I can save the attached files from the PDF and open them from the explorer but with his hundreds of PDFs and multiple attachements within, that is not a solution. Any ideas how to fix this?
Is it possible to have the toolbar permanantly visible while viewing a PDF in Internet Explorer and not have it autohide?
HiOne user at a client have this strange issue. Some PDFs are displayed like this: Only some PDFs, what they have in common is that they are created by Axapta (Microsoft Dynamics AX). I can see that in meta data.Other users on same server, don't have this issue with the same files. And this user don't have the issue every day. Looks like this old issue:https://www.enavate.com/blog/my-pdf-is-unreadable-scott-brubakerhttps://superuser.com/questions/1278576/arial-font-showing-up-garbled-on-acrobat-dc-on-windows-10-pchttps://community.adobe.com/t5/acrobat/scrambled-text-when-viewing-pdf-documents-in-acrobat-standard-xi/td-p/9521671 But nothing I have tried fixed it.I have deleted all Adobe folders in users appdata. I've seen the issue correct itself after the PDF was open for a few seconds, the correct text was displayed. When I mark the text and copy to word, it's displayed the same way with a font with a strange name like 32@sd.tmp If I copy in plain text it's correct.
Receiving error when attempting to digitally sign "Acrobat has encountered a problem. Some features may not work as expected." This happens 95 percent of the time. The only way out is to exit Adobe and try it again. Is anyone else running into this issue? This is happening on multiple machines. Adobe Acrobat Reader DC 21.001.20142
Unfamiliar with adobe, I have a form with text entries about demographics(name, dob, etc.) How do I get my form to autopopulate the same text information when entered in one box to the rest of the form? While using Adobe Reader (2021.001.20140 - just updated to make sure) I'm getting the "If this message is not eventually replaced by the proper contents of the document, your PDF viewer may not be able to display this type of document." error when opening a particular file that was emailed to us directly, from a bank. When I go to open the document, I first get:...Then I get the "If this message is not eventually replaced by the proper contents of the document, your PDF viewer may not be able to display this type of document." error. I tried to open with all popular browsers (Chrome, Chromium Edge, Firefox) and got the same error. I can open the document using a competitor's software just fine. I attempted to Save-As from there, and tried to open the new file in Adobe Reader, and I received the same error. What can be done to allow me to open this file with Adobe Reader? This is extremely frustrating. Cheers
Hi, new to adobe reader.During my studies, I need to write summerise to large books I view on PDF.I like using links to refernce specific pages in my summery. However i can't seem to be able to create a link to specific page, when using Acrobat-Reader.For example, for file "example.pdf" (attached) saved in "C:\Users\Documents", the following file URL will open page 3 in Microsoft Edge: "file:\\\C:\Users\Documents\example.pdf#page=3",but in reader will return:"There was an error opening this document. The filename, directory name or volume lable is incorrect".It seems Reader can't open file URLs, and path is not enough to link to page.Anything i should do diffrently, or any known workaround?Thank you! (sorry for English & grammer mistakes, not my native language)
Since the installation of ver. 21.001.20135, on 2/9/2021, Acrobat Reader DC has been unable to open pdf files in my OneDrive Personal Vault. Reader can open pdfs copied to my PC and my other pdf program can open files in the Personal Vault. (My PC runs Win 10 Pro, ver. 20H2, build 19042.746.) I am thinking this is a bug in the new Reader version. Any suggestions would be welcomed. Thanks.
Hi,I have searched, but can't find anything that helps. When trying to fill out fields in downloaded pdf's from different organizations, the font size initially looks normal and I can fill in all fields with a regular size font in the browser. As soon as I try to print or save, the font size changes to a ridiculous "super"-size, and the text runs out of the fields/can't be read anymore. If I open the pdf in adobe acrobat reader to fill it in, the text size is normal as long as I am in the field typing, when I jump to the next field the same phenomenon happens, the previously normal text size changes to the super-size (the largest font the field can hold height-wise, it seems).Happens with any pdf with a fillable text field from any source (not self-created).I'd really appreciate any help. Thanks!Martin
HiI have the latest version of Adobe Acrobat Reader on my Windows 10 pc, and I use Outlook 2016When I open a PDF file and click on the Email icon on the top, I then click on attachments and then it already has selected Outlook as email client and then finally it opens new email showing the pdf attachment. My question is, is there anyway to make emailing a pdf file faster without each time selecting outlook as email client to use?I did check in Preferences-Email that Outlook was already selected as default email clientThis issue started with updating to this newest version of Adobe reader, I did not have this issue on the previous version of Adobe Acrobat reader. ThanksFurqan
