trying to open a pdf from the govt with reader touch but it gave out the " the document you're trying to load requires Adobe Reader 8 or Higher" message. when i try to open it with the acrobat pro DC it says i need to use the "Adobe Acrobat Reader DC" to open it. i installed that from the windows store but it didn't appear on my PC once installed, so now i'm stuck. what the hell.
I was using Acrobart reader on my old Macbook without any problems. I only need basic features like reading, creating and signing PDFs. On my new Macbook Air I am unable to open any of my PDFs - the window to start a free trial pops open and I don't see any option to bypass this. I attempted to install Reader from the Adobe website and got this error message: "Found a more functional Adobe Acrobat already installed. Installer will terminate." And then: "The installation failed. The installer encountered an error that caused the installation to fail. Contact the software manufacturer for assistance." I really don't want to pay $200+ for features I don't need if I don't have to! Any assistance appreciated!
I am having difficulty accessing cloud storage from my work phone. It would just tell me to connect to a network, but I had network connectivity. I tried clearing cache, signing out and back in, reinstalling and even tried accessing it from a Web browser, but nothing has worked. I have a lot of important documents on there, so any fix would be appreciated.
Hello Community, our HR department at my company was able to use the sign and fill feature in Adobe Reader about 3 weeks ago within T2200 forms (Canadian CRA forms). The forms were pre-completed by our employess and then sent to our HR department for a digital signature to be added., 3 weeks ago a digital signature could be added As of today, the sign and fill feature that will allow the digital signature is no longer working. Does anyone else in Canada experience this issue with T2200 forms. The current version of Adobe is 2022.003.20322.

How do I create a button to rotate an image field in 90 degree increments in a PDF while in Reader? Sometimes after clicking to add an image, the images show up rotated incorrectly. I'd like the user to be able to rotate the image field when that happens.Does anyone know Java Script I could add or another way to add the feature? Thanks!

I'm installing Adobe Reader and it keeps saying "upgrading key features installing - thanks for your patience." It's been 4 hrs! How do I fix this? I think this may be the reason I can't digitally sign anything. It's all grayed out Help!!!!
Greetings,I have "Show recently added apps" enabled for the Windows 10 Start menu. I noticed that "Notification Manager for Acrobat Reader" was recently added. How can I find out what this is? Searching Adobe turns up nothing.Thanks,Shane.

Sometimes when I get an email with a pdf that has some fill-in fields completed, I can open it and view the data on my iPhone, BUT NOT on my desktop PC when it opens using Acrobat Reader. The fill-in fields are blank. Anybody know why? Tom@NautHomeTN.net
Hi All, I've searched around and found similar topics on this, but not this exact issue. I can only assume that I'm overlooking something obvious, and I truly hope that someone here can guide me to a setting or solution. This issue happens in Adobe Acrobat Reader DC (free version) 2022.001.20142 64-bit, on all my computers (some running Windows 10 Pro, some running Windows 10 Home, always kept fully updated). When I receive a PDF with fillable form fields to populate and sign, if I fill in some of the fields and sign the Signature field of the form with "Sign Yourself" then close it to save my place, then re-open it later to edit any of the field entries (Name, Date, etc...) , Reader DC will not allow me to edit any of the text or check boxes that I've already filled-in. It will only allow me to fill in fields / boxes that I did not previously fill. I saw one thread that says the solution would be to right-click on my signature and somehow remove or "invalidate" it,
I'm trying to download the installer for a 2022 version of Acrobat Reader. 2022.003.20310 would be ideal, but a version close to that would probably work. I've read other posts about getting them from Adobe's FTP site, but those old versions appear to stop at October 2020. Where can I download old versions of Acrobat Reader that are newer than October 2020? Thanks!
Here is a problem and a solution. In Adobe Reader DC you may want to use the hand tool and the select tool. But you won't get them to show in the main toolbar, no matter how deep you dig in the Show/Hide menu.SOLUTION: hover your mouse in the lower part of the screen to show the Page Control tools. That's where you'll see the hand and select tools. The complete steps are:1. Click View > Show/Hide > Page Controls, and make sure that Show Page Controls is selected.2. The page controls will appear either on your toolbar or at the bottom of the screen.3. To move the page controls to the bottom of the screen (or back to your toolbar), click the icon that looks like a bar with a downwards arrow.4. You will only be able to see the hand and select tools when the page controls are at the bottom of your screen.Adobe, I usually love your software, but I spent a half hour looking for a hand icon. Frustration. >:-((
I am facing a typical issue with certain PDFs ... PDF opens in Adobe Acrobat Reader however I can only see outlines and can not see any text within. These PDFs are generated by a typical accounting software. Further the same PDF properly visible on my Macbook Air but not so on iMac.
I frequently print documents which have a mix of letter and legal size. Therefore I always use the "Choose paper source by PDF size" setting. Today, after a Windows 10 update, this no longer works. The setting is checked but it is not printing mixed sizes. Any idea how to resolve?
Hi there, I recently downloaded the Adobe Acrobat Reader on a new laptop that runs Windows 11. You used to be able to go to 'view' and select 'two page view' in the reader. In this version, there is no 'View' option available and if you click on the display icon (an image of a page with 1:1 in the bottom right hand corner in default set-up) there's 'fit one full page, actual size' options but no two page option. I have also tried searching for 'view' and 'two page view' in the 'find text or tools' search bar, but no relevant results come up. Please tell me I'm missing something and the two page view function is still there, as it was really useful for booklets. Thanks in advance.
Since a 3-day trial of Acrobat Pro and cancellation and removal of that product, I am no longer able to open and see any PDFs. I tried re-downloading the Acrobat reader for Windows 10 yet am unable to. Can anyone suggest a fix in order to be able to view pdfs? Thank you.
When trying to install Adobe Reader from https://get.adobe.com/reader/otherversions (Windows 11, Language German, 64 Bit distro), installtion gets stuck at 90%and then exits with a generic error: Things tried:1. Hello! Hoping for some advice on a font display issue we are facing. The pdf files we're using are supplied by the customer with all fonts embedded subset and everything displays fine. When the pdf file has been run through the developers software the font is coming out as below. All fonts are still embedded subset but as you can see the text is not displaying correctly. I have tried turing off use local fonts and some other suggestions I've found on other similar posts but none of these seem to work. The software the developers are using have produced plenty of files for this customer without this issue occuring. Is there anything I can look for that might highlight what is causing this issue? many thanksLaura

Folks: this has become a real challange for me. I have installed and uninstalled the reader verion 25 i think i has fgortten eceedly difficult to find information any more, no more about items...anyway I ahve an access database that I want to add the reader box and update it through the apparent loadfile method in acropdf object, as you can see the object exists and when i choose the library in the object browser the methods come up, but that is where this becomes difficult. I have created a view button and an click event that should allow the acropf.loadfile(" complete file path here") thios does not work and is NOT recognized....What the heck is going on here.....The object seems to be not recognized !! Yet it is part of the references and I can place the object onto the form.....I am pulling my hair out.. See the images..
Hello, I need to import a .tiff into Adobe Reader XI. My older version of Adobe Reader X allowed me to simply select open file and then view all file formats. I would select the .tiff and it would open. I could then save it as a pdf. However, following the same routine Adobe Reader XI sends me an error message: "Adobe Reader could not open .....tif' because it is either not a supported file type or because the file has been damaged (for example, it was sent as an email attachment and wasn't correctly decoded)." I tried opening the .tif file on my old laptop and it opened fine. Therefore I don't think there is an issue with the file being damaged. Suggestions on how to import .tiffs in Reader XI?Much appreciated.EH
Hi, After two weeks without using my laptop, I discovered today that everytime I try printing from Adobe Acrobat it crashes 100% of the time. Despite removing the app, restarting and reinstalling it again, the problem remains. Is there any way to resolve this issue rapidly??
I have been using Acrobat Reader for a long time. Today, I paid for and used Adobe Acrobat Export PDF. Now when I try to use Acrobat to read a PDF, I get a window "Start your free trial of Adobe Acrobat." If I don't select Buy Now or Start free trail, Acrobat reader closes. When I tried to cancel Export PDF, it said that my Adobe Portfolio would be deactivated. I have a paid subscription to the Photography plan (20GB) which includes Portfolio. What is going on? I just want to read PDFs without affecting my Photography Plan functionality, including Portfolio. I can do without Export to PDF.Alan Hunt
