I am using Adobe Media Encoder. It gives me error "adobe media encoder has encountered an unexpected error and cannot continue" Please help me fix it. Thanks!
Is there a way to create a workflow where the tape name of the file take automatically his filename ?I can choose that in davinci resolve but I don't see how it could be in media encoder. For the moment I can only do this file by file when I copy the file name into the tape name from my metadata and it's exhausting...

Hi.I'm trying to export an .mp4 from an image sequence (.tif) and add audio to it using the "watch folder" feature in AME. Unfortunately, I haven't had any success.I read that it's possible if the audio file has the same name as the first .tif file, but it's not working for me.Can you tell me if this is even possible using my method? If not, how would you approach this if you wanted to automate the process?Cheers 🙂
hi there, media encoder just crashed and I lost all the queue items, any idea if I can restore the queue? many thanks
AFTER: 25.2.2ENCODER: 25.2WINDOWS 10 / PROC RYZEN 7 5700G / 32 GB RAM (3200 MHZ) / RTX 3070
Within the last month, everytime I begin encoding a video from premiere it will pause at the 1 or 2 second mark. There will be no adjustment of estimated time or any other indication that the encoding process is progressing. I was first having the issue when I would upload directly to the Frame.io window. Although, I have the same issue even if I go to media encoder directly from premiere's export window. There is nothing unique about the video I am trying to export as far as I can tell. I don't know if it has anything to do with a different motion graphic template I haven't used on a video before that might be slowing the process but I can't imagine it is so complex that it makes the encoding hault completely. I'd say I am a novice when it comes to the more nuanced settings of media encoder and I have never manipulated any settings beyond what the default or recommended settings are. If anyone could shed light on this issue it would be greatly appreciated.

Hello, my problem is that the export of a Premiere sequence with growing files source material in XAVC-I 1080p50 via the Media Encoder is very slow (30min sequence in ~12min) as long as the growing file is not yet completed. As soon as you stop the recording of the XAVC-I file and thus finalize the file, the export is much faster (30min sequence in ~3min)The comparison workflow in DNxHD 1080p50 also works perfectly with unfinished growing files (30min sequence in ~3min). Where can I look for my mistake?
Hello CommunityI have a lot of MXF OP1a files with embedded 708 captions and I need to convert them to MP4 files with sidecar captions file. When I do it through Premiere, some files are imported with the captions -it takes a little while to load- and some others without the captions. I know all of them have captions because they have played several times.I have done it before using only Media Encoder, because it's faster and I have a lot of files. But now it's not creating the sidecar captions file from the embedded captions. I have checked the settings, both in ME and PR, but it doesn't seem to work.I'm working with Media Encoder 25.2 (Build 141) and Premiere Pro 25.2.3 (Build 4).My computer is a 11th Gen Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-11700 @ 2.50GHz 2.50 GHz, with 32 Gb or RAM and the GPU is a AMD Radeon Pro W5500 and Intel UHD Graphics 750.I would really appreciate any help you can give me.
Since version 25 install, my projects from PP to media encoder take extremely long times to load in media encoder. Once load it takes hours to render a video. There is no special adjustment layers or transitions. Dropped files in Sequence, add basic Fade transition between clips, as well as Dip to Black Transition at the end of the last clip. This is a simple american football game film. - 4K video from Sony Z190 ... I would like to be abe to add fade in/out on Video and Audio tracks. It's something I used regularly in Sorenson Squeeze and I would find it very useful in Media Encoder.
Hi! For the past month or so muliple users in our studio have been getting this popup error message, "ReferenceError: BridgeTalk is undefined". It typically comes up in the background/behind our apps, as such, it has not been obvious what is triggering the error. We ususally only see it after quitting our applications – After Effects, Premiere, Media Encoder, and occasionally Photoshop / Illustrator. Recently have updated many of the video apps to their latest versions (24.6.1 as of writing), and that hasn't eliminated the error. Does anyone have anyone have any experience what might be triggering? Note, none of us are using Bridge, but I've posted this here because it has "BridgeTalk" in the error. We're all running MacOS 14.5-14.6.1 generally, on Mac Studio M1's Thanks!
So I just bought Creative Cloud and have just started to try to figure out how to use After Effects today.I have imported a movie and added some text animations, and I am trying to export the video to the Media Encoder but I keep getting the following error.AEGP Plugin AEDynamicLInkServer: Adobe Media Encoder is not installed. Please download and install it to use this feature. Go to https://creative.adobe.apps . ( 5027 :: 12 )After I click "OK" I get the next message:AEGP Plugin AEDynamicLinkServer: Failed to connect to Adobe Media Encoder. ( 5027 :: 12 )So I really don't know what do because I have just started using After Effects but I would like some input on how to fix it because I would be able to like to export a video at some point. The Render Engine is installed but whenever I try to open it nothing happens but After Effects opens again. At one point I had four After Effects open at once and didn't realize it.If it matters, I did install the CUDA plugin. So if anyone could give
Hey thanks for this spiuffy update. But sadly it is broken. It won't open. And crashes instantly. I've uninstalled, and reinstalled and get the exact same issue. Really annoying.
Hi I noticed on the latest Media Encoder 25.2 when selecteing MXF0P1a the time code shows as drop frames. My source is 25fps and im encoding as XDCAMHD 50 PAL 422 and also AVC Intra100 1080 but the time code at the bottom set start timecode shows up as 09;59;50;00 instead of 09:59:50:00Is this a bug? if so is there a fix?Ive had to roll back to 25.1Anyone else had this? Thanks in advance
O meu media encoder está tendo erro. Quando clico para exportar do after effects, ele chega o vídeo para a esquerda e corta o vídeo, aparecendo o que falta da esquerda, na direita do vídeo.
Encoder Ingest presets will only work if I have "copy to destination" clicked. If on it creates the copy and the preset mp4, if off it fails.
Hi community, I've been encountered this problem everytime I tried to open Media Encoder v25.1 from After Effects v25.1. I searched through the discussion history but it seems like most similar topics are related to macOS. Sadly, I'm on Windows 11. Have asked ChatGPT before but still can't fix this problem. I’d really appreciate it if anyone could help or provide some advice.Things I've tried:- Uninstall and install (both AE and ME)- Update the GPU driver- Switch video rendering from CUDA to Mercury Software Only- Clear the cache
I've been making videos and exporting them perfectly and uploading them to youtube. However, yesterday I go to export this video and I get this message. No idea what to do. Thought Premier pro and media encoder would need updating so I've updated them both to the most recent one, yet it still says it's not installed. Please help, I need to upload videos.
I’ve got so used to my exports just defaulting to sequence in/out as I set them to, now they’ve just started doing this. For some strange reason there’s no option to have “sequence in/out” set as one of your preferences for exports. Why does Adobe make certain things like this so difficult when the solution should be so simple? It means that I’ve got used to sequence in/out and so I go into automatic pilot not checking it, next thing I know my export is taking one hour and I don’t know why and then I remember it’s set to work area. I almost never want the whole work area exported.

My computer specs:Intel(R) Xeon(R) Gold 6226R CPU @ 2.90GHz 2.89 GHz64,0 GB RamNvidia RTX A5000My computer has been experiencing several issues with rendering recently. The rendering time has increased, and most of the renders are coming out corrupted. When I take batch renders, I notice that either they don't complete, or even if they do, they cause problems. I find that I have to repeat the rendering process at least twice to get a working result. What should I do?Would you like some troubleshooting advice for these issues?
How do you apply a custom ingest preset to the entire batch of clips at once imported into the Media Encoder qeue? There's gotta be a way to do this instead of applying the preset to each clip in the queue.
Hi everyone,I'm having issues opening Adobe Media Encoder v25 and 25.1 on my MacBook Pro (M2 chip series). A few seconds after launching, I get the following error message: "Adobe Media Encoder has encountered an unexpected error and cannot continue." The application then closes automatically before even reaching the interface. All necessary file and folder permissions have been granted. As a workaround, I’ve installed v24.0, which is working fine for now. Has anyone else experienced this issue with the latest version? Any solutions or workarounds would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!
